Smite and other notes

Tonight's stream of Smite saw Striker and I playing six matches, winning four of them. The final match ended up being quite irky because one player on our team stayed in the spawn area the entire match. Promptly reported them for basically not participating.

Tomorrow's stream will feature the start of Borderlands 2

For the raid we dropped in on ZoneSama who was having a 420 Special ten days early

Work was another slog tonight, I could have had three interviews done but had issues where the calls ended unexpected on two of them. And chances are I won't have work tomorrow and will have to do a mid-day shift on Friday.

Had a case of rewrite-itus as the Mass Effect commission I'm working on saw me restart it three times before figuring out how I would do it. 

Recorded my review of South Park Snow Daria and next weeks installment of The Daria Reactions (covering the the fifth episode of season one.

Also my copy of Becky Lynch's book arrived today, and it's easily one of the better wrestling books I've read so far.

South Park Snow Day and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up South Park Snow Day, making it the 12th game we've finished this year, and I have to say it's the weakest in terms of story when compared to The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole. Overall it's a very compact game and straight forward game, that rewards a little exploration.

It being a rouge lite is kind of where it needs to shine, and it really is going to need some form of DLC campaigns to really make it feel more than a cash grab or a tech-demo

Starting Thursday we'll be playing Borderlands 2 on the Xbox Series Console

Our next stream will feature Smite due to Iceman not being able to join us for Sea of Thieves this week

For the raid we dropped in on samaell_alwahm who was playing League of Legends 

Work was a real drag tonight... was so bad that when I sneezed and got a headache I thought about laying down. On the positive side, I think I might have earned some extra incentive related cash

Finished the Star Wars commission story around noon today, and started trying ti figure out how to approach the next commission story on my agenda which is Mass Effect related

South Park Snow Day and other notes

We started South Park Snow Day this evening and from I can tell, it's a fairly short game, but visually it's stunning, there is a low of effort to translate the 2D world of the cartoon to a 3D Environment, all the character models look great.

On the Easy difficulty it certainly presents a fair challenge, but with multiplayer active, it because a total cakewalk. I think we'll do tomorrow on Normal difficulty with the open party from the start. Or I can solo it and try and get three streams out of this game.

But yup, We'll continue South Park Snow Day tomorrow night

Work started off slow, but picked up towards the end of my shift.

Going to be working on the Star Wars commission request, got a fair amount done during the day but not as much as I would like

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was interesting, with the April Fools 'Balance Overwatch Mode', along with some highly questionable teammates in standard Quick Play. Couple of matches were so bad, I checked out of it, But on the plus side were joined by PandaSweet who got a new gaming rig!

Also managed to get the voice lines of Ashe yelling 'Fred' instead of Bob, because of course I would want to use them for my stream.

Tomorrow night we're starting South Park Snow Day, and I learned that there is no crossplay for it. I could have sworn it was hyped with having crossplay.

Had a really wonky night after last night's stream, had a hard time just sitting down and feeling all ramped up

Finished the My Hero Academia commission story just before tonight's stream, next up is a Star Wars related one

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and other notes

Tonight we finished Lego Batman 2, and we extended the stream abit to do various free roam stuff and unlock achievements. Overall this was a fun experience like most Lego games but there were some things I didn't completely like. Near as I can tell the ending sets up the 3rd Lego Batman game.

Lego Batman 2 will return for next Saturday's stream (April 13) in order to go after additional achievements!

Friday's stream will feature Ghost of Tsushima as we continue to work our way through Act II

South Park The Fractured But Whole and other notes

Tonight we put the finishing touches on South Park The Fractured But Wole wrapping up the final Mintberry Crunch DLC story and going after Morgan Freeman to get one more achievement. The squad I  took into that fight was Mintberry Crunch, Call Girl and Henrietta, all three of which was able to apply buffs and debuffs which made the fight doable with only two of them being knocked out at any point in time. There are three achievements left in the game, but we can save those for a future play through.

Now that wasn't the whole stream, we did play some Smite, and big thanks to Striker for being apart of a few matches. We won three and lost three I think, so it evened out, as I played as Nike and Athena. Did accidentally turn off auto-purchasing of items, which certainly put me in a bind in a couple of bouts.

Tomorrow night we're playing Overwatch as is the Sunday night tradition. Did work more ranked matches this weeks, but not too many bouts on role queue to avoid playing damage in ranked bouts.

Since we're done with South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Monday night we will be playing Skullgirls 2nd Encore and going through a few story modes for various characters in a bit of achievement hunting. 

Tuesday night however, we will be starting up Final Fantasy XIII. Now I have played this game a bit many years ago prior to my original PlayStation 3 dying on me, so basically we will be going into it blind! I remember the combat system being quite difficulty to understand.

Got some writing done on a SubscribeStar commission tier story today, which is WWE related, I hope to have it finished before tomorrow's stream.

Nearly finished season eight of Red Dwarf, just have one more episode to watch, and then it's the jump to the more modern seasons.

Ghost of Tsushima and other notes

Tonight we started up Ghost of Tsushima and I have to say, I can safely say it's going to be a long journey as it seems the open world aspect of this game seems very similar to Horizon Zero Dawn, which means I'm going to be as thorough as possible exploring every thing on the map. I also set the audio settings for the dialog to be in Japanese with English subtitles, as it seems like the most immersive way to play it, and so far based on how the dialog sounds, I feel I'm right.

Tomorrow night we're wrapping up South Park The Fractured But Whole, focusing on the Mintberry Crunch DLC story, along with possibly taking another shot at the Morgan Freeman boss fight. 

For tonight's raid we dropped in on baenalux who was playing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, doing their first run of Mass Effect 3

Work is still on hold at the moment, but I am looking for something more stable.

Did knock out an Arrow related commission in fairly short order, with the next story on the docket being a SubscribeStar subscription story based on 2010s WWE. It may take two days to write it

South Park The Fracutred But Whole and other notes

Tonight's stream of South Park The Fractured But Whole got plagued with not one but two brief power interruptions, that ended up dividing the stream into two parts, which is really frustrating when it comes to archiving everything. It's been a while since I had something like that happened, but it was related to PSE&G.

Now we did finish the game and I really liked how the New Kid having a reason for his powers. Was a bit surprised to see that the game ends with having to beat up both Kyle and Cartman, and that seems to be a trend since there is the option to beat up one or the other in the Stick of Truth. We did try the Morgan Freeman fight, which did not go well, as I think I'm going to need a team that fights from a distance to overcome it. We did the Casa Bonita DLC story, and I was night expecting a Michael Jackson cameo.

We also started the Mintberry Crunch DLC, but it appeared to be a lot longer so we're going to continue that on Saturday's stream, and maybe give the Morgan Freeman fight another shot.

Tomorrow night we're starting up Ghost of Tsushima on the PlayStation 4

For the raid we dropped in on rumhamshmah who was playing Palworld

No update on work resuming, but all bills are paid at the moment so we're in a good spot

Knocked out the AEW commission request, which turned out to be a decent follow up to an earlier one. 

Next on the commission agenda is a short Arrow related story

It's now been one year since mom's passed... and yeah, I'm missing her a whole lot right now.

Sea of Thieves and other notes

Tonight's stream of Sea of Thieves saw Iceman and I engage in a quest that involved a 20 minute long brawl against a Ashen captain, skeletons and lots of fire. We were able to get a pretty big haul of loot turned in but we left of the chest of rage because of how it kept exploding and it sunk out ship!

For the raid we dropped in on lilmoolah_ who was playing Baldur's Gate 3

Having to get a lot of my paystubs together for the past year in preparation for filing a dispute with the local UI office as it seems like things might be a struggle in the coming weeks

Finished the WWE related commission request and started work on an AEW related one, which I should be able to finish fairly easily tomorrow, as I got the intro and set up written already.

King of glad that the weather this week got up into the 60s, as a lot of the snow has melted... of course we might get more snow this weekend.

Watched episode two of Red Dwarf Series 8, our Dwarfers dressed as the Dibbley clan was a great little moment.

South Park The Fractured But Whole and other notes

Tonight's stream of South Park: The Fractured But Whole was extended a bit tonight because just like on Saturday I kept finding things to do as it was related to various quests. We placed all the headshots (but that quest cannot be turned in yet because of politics) and found all the yaoi art pieces, and I thought we had all the cats found (but turns out one is in an area we have not accessed yet). We did battle with Professor Chaos, got ambushed by Ninjas... and saw Craig and Tweak reunite (LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!!!!). All in all a great night

Tomorrow we shall continued South Park The Fractured But Whole, picking up with a quest where we must assist Tupperware (Tolkien) in a main story mission.

Work was held off today because we are waiting for materials to come in, which basically means the client was probably adjusting something in the questions to probably make them more of a mouthful. 

Got paid for all completed commission requests today, so that's all caught up (thank goodness) so now we started planning ahead for February.

The AEW commission story came together rather nicely, and the next one with a WWE related one, which shouldn't take me more than three or four hours to bang out. So we can really make a dent in things on the docket by the end of the week.

I do need to learn about Star vs. the Forces of Evil for one that will be written next month however.

Finished series seven of Red Dwarf, and while the cliff hanger for the ship itself being rebuilt was great, it does mean the Rimmer gets the character reset for series eight if memory serves me right.

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was the usual bit of madness as we were joined by PandaSweet, Odeu and BangBangBang for various matches. We had a good mix of wins and losses. Tonight I played as Moira, Junker Queen, Bastion, Torbjourn, Ashe, Reaper, Sombra and several others

Tomorrow night we're resuming South Park The Fractured But Whole.

Electric and Water bills have been paid, so now just got to put more of a credit on my Internet bill to stay ahead of that.

Did some grocery shopping today picked up all the usual stuff.

Finally got paid on the NFL story commission from last week, and now just have one outstanding.

Knocked out the NBA commission today (and got paid for it the same day, thankfully)

Next story commission is AEW related, in fact I got a couple of wrestling related stories in the upcoming queue... which is always at the end of the month or start of the month... ugh.

South Park The Fractured But Whole and other notes

Tonight's stream ran from 5 PM Eastern till about 12:30 AM, and was not planned, but I kept finding stuff to do in South Park The Fracture But Whole that seemed totally doable, as a lot of quests just flowed from one to another. I'm really digging the story between Craig and Tweak, and the customization for the player character seems to get really nutty as things go along, from super hero class, race, ethnicity and other factors. We'll continue this game on Monday's stream.

Sunday night's stream will feature Overwatch 2

A fair amount of snow melted today, so didn't really have to shovel much of anything, anything left over I can easily deal with on Monday.

Finished the Dragon Ball commission request and am now waiting on payment for it and the earlier NFL commission request finished earlier in the week. Am counting on those to cover groceries this week. Next commission story in progress is NBA/NCAA related and I'm thinking i'm keeping that under 2500 words since the one after it is intended to be a bit lengthy.

Tonight we wrapped up Catherine: Full Body and ended up getting the Good Ending with Catherine, which worked out rather nicely considering Katherine deception was what caused Vincent's problems in the first damn place. Too bad I didn't know how to unlock Rin's path, but we can come back to Catherine: Full Body down the line for another attempt. 

Next Friday we're going to start Ghost of Tsushima as out next PlayStation 4 exclusive game.

Tonight we started up South Park The Fractured But Whole, and really got into roaming around and and exploring, seeing what we could do early on, which was a fair bit. I really like the combat system as I realize I have to be a little more thoughtful of where I place my team so that no one is blocked. We'll resume it on Saturday's stream!

Since I was dealing with that I only got a fair amount done in terms of the next commission request, which is Dragon Ball related, I'll be working on that during the day on Friday.

Also we're expecting more snow... and the stuff we already had just melted... fuck my life.

Smite and other notes

Tonight we had to call an audible, as Iceman couldn't join us, but we played Smite and were joined by Striker for several matches, which was a lot of fun! Played as Terra, Athena, Nike and Bellona an d we won a couple of matches and lost a few. Had one match as Terra where I had no eliminations and no deaths, but ended up with twenty-seven assists, which was awesome.

Sea of Thieves should be back next Wednesday, but it's always up in the air.

Tomorrow night we're starting up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, which should be a lot of fun in a continuation of the South Park Saga.

For the raid we dropped in on Kalenal as they were playing Final Fantasy XIV 

Work got cancelled today due to technical issues with the assignment we were working on, but it should be good to go tomorrow.

Knocked out a Spider-Man related commission which ended up being nearly 4000 words, and turned out pretty decent I think. Next on the docket is another Dragon Ball commission which doesn't exactly have much going for it in terms of being interesting, as its a continuation of an earlier story involving Panchy, but we'll see what we can do with it.

Continued my Red Dwarf watch through (when I was having lunch and before the stream since I had that extra time tonight) and I totally forgot The Cat turned into Duane Dibbley a second time thanks to the Emohawk.

South Park: The Stick of Truth and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up South Park The Stick of Truth and did so by getting all four achievements associated with defeating Princess Kenny, the games final boss. Needless to say it was a solid run tonight, everything from start to finish, and rather efficient. Of course a second play through would be required due missing on Chinpokemon and not getting all the possible 'friends', along with costumes and weapons, but we'll consider that for down the road.

Tuesday night we're going to mess around with Skullgirls 2nd Encore, since it's been awhile since we've featured a fighting game.. 

Thursday night we'll start up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, though I'm considering waiting till Saturday for that.

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Overwatch 2 was interesting with the 'Quicker Play' gimmick and one thing I can say about that gimmick is that it exposes everyone who doesn't know how to fight on the objective & payload. Seriously, people who try to hang back and build their ultimates from a distance end up losing because of how fast things were adjusted. Granted no one will learn from it, but I can say we won more than we lost by a wide margin. Big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the action.

Tomorrow night we look to finish South Park The Stick of Truth. We could go straight forward to finishing it or try and find a few extra side quests.

 For the raid we went over to the channel for Mystery Science Theater 3000 

Finished the Dragon Ball story commission this morning, and it was a struggle to knock out, and started work on an NFL related commission, which is about 30% finished based on the outline I was given. I will be working on it tomorrow during the day.

Taking time to sit down and watch episodes of Red Dwarf when I have lunch certain brightens the day a bit.

South Park The Stick Of Truth and other notes

Tonight's stream of South Park  The Stick Of  Truth saw a lot of things done in terms of side quests and achievements as we progressed the story to where the girls are recruited to help out in the final epic battle of the game. Near as I can tell just about every side quest is done, there might be a couple of ones that open up late game, but I think it's basically a straight run to wrap up the main story.

The commission request based on Dragon Ball is proving to be a pain in the ass because it's way too many characters for a budget fic. Going to get it somewhere over 2000 words and send it off as one of the worst fics I've written. I'll be working on it tomorrow to get it out of the way.

Waiting for a few bills to come in to get those paid off, granted I know what the amounts will be, just like having the paper record in some cases.

Tonight's stream of Catherine Full Body ran five hours because I got hung up on a couple of puzzles and thought thought I was on the path for one of Rin's endings, but turns out I did something wrong along the way. Still we cleared the seventh night so next time we play the game we should be able to finish it with possibly getting a good or bad ending for Catherine.

Tomorrow night we're back to South Park The Stick Of Truth, with one thing on the agenda being going back to the sewers to find the last homeless battle

Knocked out the massive Fairy Tail related commission and picked up $50 for it, and used some of that to get dinner from Blowin' Smoque. 

Next commission story on the agenda is Dragon Ball related, that I'll use some creative back and forth to get it done considering I'm not to keen on the requested amount of characters to involve.

Need to remember to get milk... though I can probably just go ahead and have bagels and eggs this week.

South Park The Stick Of Truth And Other Notes

Tonight's stream had a bit of an hour late start due to the power being knocked out. Once we were able to get started we knocked out various side quests and things in South Park The Stick of Truth such as finding the last of the hide and seekers, placing the trackers for Al Gore, crashing the UFO and general tomfoolery. We'll resume South Park The Stick of Truth on Saturday's stream

Grinding out various weekly challenges in Overwatch 2 early today, and finally got the Xbox achievement need to complete Moira's set.

• Antipode: Hit 6 targets simultaneously with Moira's Coalescence in Quick or Competitive Play.

Currently working on a commission request based on the anime Fairy Tail, the closer I can get it to 6000 words the better, currently its at 3100 words, so another day of writing should get it there, even if I add in various bits to pad it out.
