This week we wrapped up two video games, one Grandia II as part of the Grandia HD Collection was wrapped up on Tuesday's stream in very straight forward fashion... with the exception of the rematch with the Eye of Valmar which is a battle that can end real quickly depending on what the enemy AI wants to do. Still we ended up 66 of the 71 achievements between the first game and its sequel.

Second game we knocked out was Brave The Video Game, making it the 3rd time and 3rd different version we've finished. (Other two times were on Steam and PlayStation 3). Did try to play it on its hardest difficulty setting, but my reflexes are too slow .

Picked up a bunch of achievements in Sea of Thieves, some off which were done off stream. Sea of Thieves will not be on the agenda this week with Iceman being away.

So on Wednesday we'll play Smite, and I'm working on getting Neith to rank 10.

Monday I'm going to start Little Kitty Big City, which will also be featured on Tuesday and possibly Thursday. We'll see how the achievement hunting goes 

Closing in on the next major story related trophy in God Eater Resurrection, but it maybe like a week or two before we reach that point.

I got to work in more Overwatch off-stream to knock out the battle pass.

Grandia HD Collection and other notes

This week we finished Grandia on Thursday night (well early Friday Morning) with only three missed achievements in that half of the Grandia HD Collection. We started up Grandia II tonight, banging out 8 in nearly five hours. Grandia II will be featured on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I did forget that Grandia II's camera is not as helpful as the original games because of the more 3D environment

Installed some older WWE 2K games cause I have an idea for some streams late in the year to feature some older games, and I knocked out several achievements. Rather surprised how many were diamond achievements in 2K17 and 2K18. Hell same applies to Bejeweled 3

Messed around some with Guilty Gear Strive and it's not as fun as the XRD games in the franchise, but I do intent to try and feature it this year, give maybe several streams dedicate to it.

Iceman and I lucked out in getting three achievements in Sea of Thieves, so our Wednesday night adventures have lead to some gamer score boosts form time to time.

No trophies earned in God Eater Resurrection, but we did reach Level 5 difficulty in terms of the hunts, so the game is starting to become very difficulty. Also some the clipping  and bullshit involving hit detection was very apparent this past Friday.

Outside of Monday work was solid all week, I did get in a little trouble with my tendency to free style a little 

On the story writing front I got several commissioned requests done and have three more to do to wrap up Augusts work load. With luck I can get them done in short order in order to get a jump on Septembers content.

Tonight we did a bunch of free missions in God Eater and I really like using the Scythe as a slashing weapon, it's slow but it has a big arc, also experimented with using different crushing and piercing weapons, which do seem have perks depending on enemy types. I'm real curious about the story and the implied conspiracy theory.

The big goal for tonight was to find the Castle of Dreams, and there is something about it that bugs me, and it's the fact it is treated like a quest with the compass pointing in the direction of where to go, unlike in the Soldiers Graveyard. And I forgot how difficulty The Lord's Ghost was with that X-Ray and Zap combo. Beyond that we found three Mana eggs, granted only one is needed to unlock Rapp's Earth magic. 

Next time we play, we're heading for the city of Laine and the Horn of Knowledge, and probably will make our way to Alent as well.

We got a good bit done in God Eater Resurrection tonight, as someone popped into the chat and helped me figure out aiming, which really make a huge difference. Also finished off all of the Difficulty 3 missions, so we're up to the fourth story arc and we're now the Captain of the squad, which is cool.Figure next week we'll take the approach of doing all non-story missions first before advancing the plot

We're picking up in the Twin Towers tomorrow and we're going to see about making the big push towards Sue and Gadwin's departures. With a five hour stream we should be able to do that, depending on how much I dilly dally with farming enemies.

We reached the village of Gumbo and dealt with the Maddragon in order to get the village back to being a party town, The Maddragon fight ended up being more difficult than it needed to be because I was trying to farm magic and skill experience during it, which lead to Justin and Sue being KO'ed a few times. Still we reached the Twin Towers so we're in a good spot to knock out several things on Saturday's stream.

Also was invited to the Spirit Stone discord where the folks there are going to be making a Grandia Abridge project which debuts later this month!

God Eater: Resurrection and other notes

Finally saw the plot progress in God Eater Resurrection and it turns out there might be a whole in-game conspiracy that someone wanting Lidlow taken out. I am interested in seeing where that goes. However, I was not keen in having to get through three missions basically solo with Alisa basically being extremely passive and making me a city duck. The third once against a giant scorpion was a real pain in the ass.

We did do the stream off the television instead of one of the monitors on my desk, and I think things worked out. I still won't be looking directly at the camera during the gaming, but at the very least I'm not looking down at the down. Des mean I have to raise my chair up because of where I had to move my webcam.

We accomplished what we set out to do this evening which was to make it to Feena's hosue and then rescue her from the wedding to Pakon before setting out towards the Dom Ruins. We have slayed over 300 enemies so far, so getting 1000 enemies slain by the end of the game feels totally doable. We left off in the Dom ruins as it was getting late and Iv'e been waking up super early the past few days

So we saw some plot advancment in God Eater tonight, with Lidlow apparently getting killed and meeting Alisa who apparently has some serious mental issues. We did get up to the third tier level of missions =, so things are getting harder, as proven with the Urgent Mission that appeared which featured four mid-size enemies which exhausted all of my supplies. Think I might focus more on the story aspect of the game going forward

Marvel's Midnight Suns and other notes

Tonight we finished Marvel's Midnight Suns with 70 of the 72 achievements unlocked (the last two involve reaching maximum dark side balance and getting the other 71 achievements). I'm at 105 lightside, so I figure pop in doing a mission or two daily and using dark powers will help progress that over.

As far as the ending and final boss battles go, it was incredible and very good payoff, with The Hunter getting a Commander Shepard in Mass Effect 3 / Makoto Yuki in Persona 3 style ending where they end up basically dead / sealed away. But Midnight Suns does tease a sequel involving Doctor Doom which I feel would be awesome.

Would I do a New Game Plus Run? Well that depends on if I want to grind out a huge portion of the game again and take full advantage of the conversations to push towards dark side even faster.

God Eater: Resurrection and other notes

So we started up God Eater Resurrection tonight and it's the 2nd consecutive Bandai Namco game we've played that was originally on the PlayStation Vita. Rather impressed that it has full English localization, and all the character models look good... however the bare bones tutorial left a lot to be desired as I'll need to look up the full details of how something work.

I do feel more capable with the blade weapoing after trying a few, and we knocked out about two dozen missions. The game play does flow pretty quick and one could go from mission to mission with out much delay which is pretty cool.

Overwatch, Smite and other notes

Tonight's stream opened up with Overwatch 2 as McCowboy and PandaSweet joined in for matches that saw a wide variety of quality at times. Since the new battle pass season has started I'll probably work in matches off stream to get it done as quickly as possible. Also enabled streamer mode, which meant I had several different alias throughout the night which was fun.

PandaSweet and I also played some Smite, wanting to work in some of that so that Panda can get more of a feel for things. Also to my own shock I got the 2nd of Sol's related achievement... after getting the first one for her back in 2018!

Overwatch 2 will return next Sunday, and we'll see about Smite

Finished the God Eater to complete all the SubscribeStar commission tier ones for this month. Next up is a Mass Effect commission story

Persona 4 Golden and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up Persona 4 Golden, and from where we picked up (a few days before the final exam) it took six hours to cover everything. Now if I wasn't reading every bit of dialog out loud, it probably would have been done in a lesser amount of time, but some things needed to have a voice to them. I didn't care for the gimmick of the Hallow Forrest as it seemed as if it was design to make people give up on Marie by not having the preferred gear and items, as well as totally draining the stamina. 

I did how everything had a nice wrap up and conclusion, and how this Persona 4 went out of its way to stress the fact that Main Character was going to live, as opposed to Persona 3, where the hero dies in the end. Also really liked the animated scenes that were included, which added a really nice touch.

Will I play Persona 4 Golden again... well the only things left would be to fuse the World Persona and defeat  Margaret, plus farm out battle dialog for Rise... then there is the trivia thing which I have no interest in doing. So it's possible if I want to go for the 1000 gamer score.

Anyway, replacing Persona 4 Golden will be Marvel Midnight Suns, which we'll start on Monday!

Was so hot today that I did not want want to open the refrigerator more than a couple of times, so order take out. Considering the trouble with the fridge I had last year when it came to keep it open to load in groceries on a hot summer day I am not taking chances 

Started work on the God Eater story commission, and I wish there were more details about the in-game world, but for a game that has several titles, the fan-wikis for the franchise is barren

J-STARS Victory VS+ and other notes

So tonight's stream of J-Stars Victory Vs saw us advancing the plot and getting access to more side quests while getting Luffy to rank 20, which means getting him to rank 30 will be a breeze next week I feel, because I need to make sure to go after every ship before advancing the plot again.

I'm really liking doing Luffy's campaign teaming him with Hancock because she has some nice stuns and range attacks that basically keeps her out of harms way for the most part.

I am curious as to why was Jump Force was such a step back from this game in terms of its mechanics and features.

Work was a mix bag... a couple of completes and a couple that were nearly finished

Finished the Spider-Man commission request, and next up is a God Eater one... and I know nothing about the series...

 But my curiosity has lead me to see that the first game in the saga (or at least the 2nd remake) was available digitally on PS4, so safe to say I'm going to be learning about it a whole lot down the road

Persona 4 Golden and other notes

Tonight's stream of Persona 4 Golden saw a big focus on Social Links and progressing the overall story, with the big moment being the Junes concert, which also explains the willingness of the P4 cast dancing in Persona 4 Dancing All Night. 

Also realizing that Kanami from Persona 4 Dancing is referenced quite heavily in Rise's Social Link is pretty stunning to me once I realized and remembered who she was.

There were some rather outlandish things said, such as the entire bit about the female cast's measurements... that was completely out of left field.

Persona 4 Golden will be featured tomorrow night as we progress towards the next big events that happen in late October

For the raid we dropped in on samaell_alwahm who was doing a stream involving the Coloring Game

Picked up God Eater 2 and 3 for the PlayStation 4 since I'm going to have to gain some familiarity with that franchise soon

Work was solid if a little frustrating at times in terms of the pace

Started work on the WWE commission fic that was next in line, it's about 40% complete 

Weather is heating up rather badly, and I'm not looking forward to the temperatures being in the 90s
