Overwatch 2 and other notes

Big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of tonight's fun in Overwatch, even if we dealt with some of the dumbest people possible at times. Finally got the Focused achievement as Echo, which does make it two weeks in a row I have an achievement in the game as someone I normally don't play as. Other characters used with Brigitte, Tracer, Reaper, D.va, Reinhart, Moira among others. 

Overwatch 2 will return next Sunday, and we might try to actually put in Smite depending on if I knock out some some of next week's challenges before hand.

Tomorrow night we're back to Marvel's Midnight Sun

For the raid we dropped in on  samaell_alwahm who was playing Zenless Zone Zero

Worked on trimming branches this morning before it started raining... but the aftermath of the rain is that things are super humid.

Knocked out the AEW commission request and next up is a fairly long Spider-Man one that involves a few different short scenes. Going to start on that before I go to sleep

Marvel's Midnight Suns and other notes

Tonight's stream of Marvel's Midnight Suns saw us wrap up the DLC story content which involved Slaying Dracula. Actually had to do the final fight twice because I got overwhelmed in the first attempted and had some bad draws. We continued the main plot which included having Wolverine join and the Hunter being cemented as the official leader to put an end to all the squabbles.

Midnight Suns will return on Monday's stream.

Tomorrow night we'll be opening things with Overwatch 2, with a possibility of Smite

For the raid we dropped in on intergalacticpants who was playing Cyberpunk 2077

I saw the footage of the so-called 'assassination attempt' on Donald Trump, that was obviously staged because no one after getting shot is going to start screaming to 'fight'.  

Got a good chunk of the AEW story commission written, will be working on this after this is posted.

You know what's weird? There are a couple of Popeye shorts where he and Bluto are almost friendly towards each other until Olive Oyl shows up.

Marvel's Midnight Suns Achievements

J-Stars Victory Vs and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up the pretty much everything doable in J-Stars Victory Vs on a single dedicated play-through without feeling burnt out. Rather disappointed there was not a proper end game boss to fight, instead its a fight against a duplicate of our story mode main characters. Still we had a good time with it, 

I kind of wished I looked into the Customize trophy weeks ago because I suspect I could have had more of advantage, but oh well. We'll revisit J-Stars Victory Vs down the road, as I do feel I can bang out the remaining trophies over time, which includes 3 additional campaigns, defeating 10 Korrin tower opponents and Completing Victory Road.

Starting next Friday God Eater Resurrection will be featured as out PS4 game

Tomorrow night we're playing Marvel's Midnight Suns

Work was a slog, only one interview... could've had two, but the person bailed on me with two questions left...

Finished the Star Wars commission story, came up less than 4000 words, but I finally got a Twitch Payout, so that's an extra bit I was not counting on. Next on my commission list is an AEW story

South Park The Fracutred But Whole and other notes

Tonight's stream of South Park The Fractured But Whole got plagued with not one but two brief power interruptions, that ended up dividing the stream into two parts, which is really frustrating when it comes to archiving everything. It's been a while since I had something like that happened, but it was related to PSE&G.

Now we did finish the game and I really liked how the New Kid having a reason for his powers. Was a bit surprised to see that the game ends with having to beat up both Kyle and Cartman, and that seems to be a trend since there is the option to beat up one or the other in the Stick of Truth. We did try the Morgan Freeman fight, which did not go well, as I think I'm going to need a team that fights from a distance to overcome it. We did the Casa Bonita DLC story, and I was night expecting a Michael Jackson cameo.

We also started the Mintberry Crunch DLC, but it appeared to be a lot longer so we're going to continue that on Saturday's stream, and maybe give the Morgan Freeman fight another shot.

Tomorrow night we're starting up Ghost of Tsushima on the PlayStation 4

For the raid we dropped in on rumhamshmah who was playing Palworld

No update on work resuming, but all bills are paid at the moment so we're in a good spot

Knocked out the AEW commission request, which turned out to be a decent follow up to an earlier one. 

Next on the commission agenda is a short Arrow related story

It's now been one year since mom's passed... and yeah, I'm missing her a whole lot right now.

Sea of Thieves and other notes

Tonight's stream of Sea of Thieves saw Iceman and I engage in a quest that involved a 20 minute long brawl against a Ashen captain, skeletons and lots of fire. We were able to get a pretty big haul of loot turned in but we left of the chest of rage because of how it kept exploding and it sunk out ship!

Having to get a lot of my paystubs together for the past year in preparation for filing a dispute with the local UI office as it seems like things might be a struggle in the coming weeks

Finished the WWE related commission request and started work on an AEW related one, which I should be able to finish fairly easily tomorrow, as I got the intro and set up written already.

King of glad that the weather this week got up into the 60s, as a lot of the snow has melted... of course we might get more snow this weekend.

Watched episode two of Red Dwarf Series 8, our Dwarfers dressed as the Dibbley clan was a great little moment.

South Park The Fractured But Whole and other notes

Tonight's stream of South Park: The Fractured But Whole was extended a bit tonight because just like on Saturday I kept finding things to do as it was related to various quests. We placed all the headshots (but that quest cannot be turned in yet because of politics) and found all the yaoi art pieces, and I thought we had all the cats found (but turns out one is in an area we have not accessed yet). We did battle with Professor Chaos, got ambushed by Ninjas... and saw Craig and Tweak reunite (LET'S FIGHTING LOVE!!!!). All in all a great night

Tomorrow we shall continued South Park The Fractured But Whole, picking up with a quest where we must assist Tupperware (Tolkien) in a main story mission. 

For the raid we dropped in on misscammi316 who was playing Smite

Work was held off today because we are waiting for materials to come in, which basically means the client was probably adjusting something in the questions to probably make them more of a mouthful. 

Got paid for all completed commission requests today, so that's all caught up (thank goodness) so now we started planning ahead for February.

The AEW commission story came together rather nicely, and the next one with a WWE related one, which shouldn't take me more than three or four hours to bang out. So we can really make a dent in things on the docket by the end of the week.

I do need to learn about Star vs. the Forces of Evil for one that will be written next month however.

Finished series seven of Red Dwarf, and while the cliff hanger for the ship itself being rebuilt was great, it does mean the Rimmer gets the character reset for series eight if memory serves me right.

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was the usual bit of madness as we were joined by PandaSweet, Odeu and BangBangBang for various matches. We had a good mix of wins and losses. Tonight I played as Moira, Junker Queen, Bastion, Torbjourn, Ashe, Reaper, Sombra and several others

Tomorrow night we're resuming South Park The Fractured But Whole. 

For the raid tonight we dropped in on Kalenal who was playing Final Fantasy XIV 

Electric and Water bills have been paid, so now just got to put more of a credit on my Internet bill to stay ahead of that.

Did some grocery shopping today picked up all the usual stuff.

Finally got paid on the NFL story commission from last week, and now just have one outstanding.

Knocked out the NBA commission today (and got paid for it the same day, thankfully)

Next story commission is AEW related, in fact I got a couple of wrestling related stories in the upcoming queue... which is always at the end of the month or start of the month... ugh.

Overwatch and other notes

Tonight we had the usual mix bag of Overwatch 2, with plenty of wins and losses and wondering what the hell some random teammates were doing. We did have a few big moments, plus we were joined by PandaSweet for some really good matches. Played as Brig, Winston, Junker Queen, Reaper, Orissa, Ashe, Baptiste, and several other characters.

Some have asked why I don't play Mercy, it's just that I don't like using her with a controller.

Anyway Overwatch 2 will return on Sunday for the Christmas Eve stream.

Tomorrow night we're playing Mass Effect, continuing the Bitching Biotic run!

Had some writers block last night and didn't get to sleep until 7 AM, while not waking until 2 PM.

I did get over 1300 words written in the AEW commission request I have on the docket, but I am looking for this story to be close to 4000 words long, if not longer.

Mass Effect and other notes

Tonight we started up another Mass Effect run where we're playing as an Adept class and will be limited to using Garrus and Liara for the vast majority of the game, and I one thing I forgot to do was to give Shepard an additional weapon trait, so I basically made this run a lot harder than it probably needs to be. We did pretty much everything possible on the Citadel along with rescuing Liara in a stream that lasted about six hours.

Mass Effect will return on Monday as we'll focus on doing side missions before focusing on Noveria or Ferros.

Got a fair bit of writing done, knocking out a commission request based on The Flash, next story on the commission docket is based on AEW. I'll be starting on that in a bit

The Quarry and other notes

Tonight's stream featured The Quarry, this time playing the Xbox Series version, and I after two chapters, I still haven't found any of the tarot cards, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't find them because now I have to try and make the right choices without any hints. I also forgot how much of a tool Jacob was as a character, but I did find Emma's bracelet which I didn't do on my PS4 playthrough last year.

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was rather strange as it seemed to swing from a lot from one side dominating the other, which made things really unusual. Big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun this evening. Character I used were Junker Queen, Anna, Tracer, Mei, Reaper and a few others.

Also played Overwatch on the Xbox Series console as opposed to the Xbox One, the tradeoff being faster load times at the expense of being able to save Plays of the Game, which is really weird.

Tomorrow night's stream will see us starting up The Quarry, which should be pretty fun. The Quarry is also slated for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Asura's Wrath And Other Notes

Tonight we wrapped up Asura's Wrath, and I do have to question as to why was episodes 19 to 22 which is the actual ending of the game's story not included when the game was originally release. Was Capcom that shady? And given how they monetized the hell out of Street Fighter IV, the answer is yes. Still I had a lot fun playing it, as and we ended up with a good chunk of achievements. We also featured the lost episodes that were the crossover with Street Fighter IV, and those were incredibly silly. I think I liked the Ryu vs Asura encoutner more than the Akuma one, but both were great.

 What game is going to replace Asura's Wrath in the line up this week? Well it's going to be The Quarry, which we'll put on the Xbox Series console since we already played it once on the PlayStation 4 side. Of course unlike last year, I'm not going to try and keep everyone alive

Resident Evil and other notes

 Hi everyone,

We're in November... and it's nearly been a year since mom passed away...

Tonight's stream of Resident Evil saw us cover all of the residence portion, and we maybe could've done more if the guide I was using was less cryptic about certain things. We did do everything such as dealing with the Neptune shark, Plant 42 and making our way back to the mansion to officially reach the middle portion of the game, with the last puzzle we did being the one involving getting the yellow and red gems. That will served as a great reminder of where we'll pick up next time we play Resident Evil which is scheduled for Thursday.

Wednesday's night stream is slated to feature Journey to the Savage Planet, and hopefully Iceman and I will be able resume our adventures in that silly game! If we can't then I'll continue Resident Evil.

For tonight's raid we dropped in on Calyria who was playing Resident Evil 5!

Following that, I have commission request in the queue for Spider-Man, based around the Tom Holland films, then Resident Evil, followed by two WWE related ones. 

Saw a good deal on the omnibus collecting the Batman / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle crossover, so going to add that to collection. Mostly means I'll be cooking my meals this week instead of doing takeout, but I think that's a good trade-off.

Resident Evil and other notes

Happy Halloween!

Tonight's stream featured Resident Evil HD, as we continued our guided play through on the easiest possible difficulty, making it all the way to the Residence save room, which puts on a path to deal with Plant 42 and a big fucking shark! Still I continue to have trouble with aiming, as I went through more ammo and used more healing items than probably necessary.

Also because I didn't save Richard, I didn't get his combat shotgun, and also had to fight to Yawn on my own... which was very unpleasant. 

I do have to say in terms of some of static camera angles, they make for great screenshots of Jill, so I'm pretty pleased with how a bunch of have turned out, some of which you'll be able to see on my tumblr page (https://www.tumblr.com/fredcasden).

Of course our next stream will also feature Resident Evil HD, scheduled for around 9:30 PM Eastern

For the raid we went over to x9abenonymous9x who was playing Resident Evil: Director's Cut, which was the version I played 20 years ago. I do wish I knew where my copy of it was, maybe I traded it in, but I could've sworn I still had it.

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Hi everyone, 

Tonight's stream of Overwatch 2 got off to a rough start because we had to restart the stream due to a Stream Deck update, but once things go rolling we had a fun night. Of course I did have my Halloween costume on from what I was able to piece together, but it was too hot to keep on for the full stream and in the end it was down to the wig and goggles. Big thanks to PandaSweet for joining in a few matches as well!

Picked up one play of the game as Sombra and also the second of her character related achievements. I seriously do like her re-work. Also played as Kiriko, Junker Queen, Moira, D.va, Tracer, Echo and a few other characters

On my next stream we're getting back to Resident Evil HD, hopefully I remember exactly where I left off when it comes to the guides I was using!

Now I'm not 100% sure of this week's stream start times as the way I submit my schedule to my job was different than normal, so streams may not start until 10 PM Eastern, I'll see about keeping the 9:30 scheduled time, but it may tough to do that.

Knocked off a WWE related commission requests which was a lot of fun to write since I was able to do something totally different with it. Next four commission stories I have on the docket involve two Spider-Man related ones, one for AEW and another WWE one. 

I need to find  the quest order list for Starfield's main story so we can totally focus on that since the scope of the game is too large, otherwise, I'll become tempted to stop playing it on Satudays!

Starfield and other notes

Hi everyone,

Tonight we spent the night playing Starfield, and as I dedicated it to sticking to just one planet and exploring trying to see how long it would take to fully survey it, I discovered that the scope of the game is just way too damn huge. Now I have played open world games before, such as Fallout 76, Cyberpunk 2077 and the like, and I've sunk a time of time into massive MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV and Star Trek Online, but unlike those games, Starfield appears to have a massive scale problem when it comes to someone like me who does try to do everything I come across.

And what really compounds this issue is when trying to find all the critters and plant life, if I spend five hours playing a game and I feel like I could not accomplish something simple in that time frame, then there is something wrong. Of course I could simple just stick with the main story and get through that as quickly as possible, which seems like the smart way to do things.

Got two stories written on Saturday, well actually finished two stories that were in progress, the first was the commission story based on The Flash, which I meant to finish yesterday, and the other was the Persona story I started writing a few weeks ago... which didn't turn out as good as the previous five chapters.

Anyway, I have four commission stories lined up, two of which are through my SubscribeStar page, and the fandoms for these stories are two for WWE, one for Spider-Man and one for AEW. So three wrestling stories... ugh... oh well. 

Laundry, dishes and groceries were all done today, so I'm set up for the week.

Star Wars The Forced Unleashed and other notes

Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream saw us starting up Star Wars The Forced Unleashed, and for a 15 year old game, it's visuals certainly hold up as do most of it's controls... the jumping is kind of wonky. The seemingly endless waves of enemies certains gives me the vibe that a lot of the grindy achievements were meant to be done in a single play through. Did find some of the placement for hidden items to be weird, but not too far out of the way..The plot of the game of Darth Vader wanting to take down the Emperor is a bit of a stretch because there is no fucking way Anakin Skywalker would have the balls to do that after what he did to the Padawans.Overall, I do find elements of the game to be rather silly and over the top.

We knocked out all of Act 1 tonight, and we'll continue the game on Tuesday's stream starting around 9:30 PM Eastern or as soon as I finish work.

Jury Duty in New Jersey is a fucking pain, as now I have to check every day at 4 PM this week to see if I have to go to the court house. I can't see how the hell this is even feasible for more people because it becomes a massive inconvenience since it's completely last minute.

Work today was alright if a little blah, did have concerns about a chance in my hours starting next week which would mean stream would start after 10 PM Eastern

Did get a call from a family member who is more or less trying to pressure me to move to Philadelphia, which is many ways isn't possible, and not something I would want to do because since my house is completely paid off. On top of that it would basically be like starting over from scratch with nothing.

Knocked out a massive commission story during the day based around AEW, the client gave me an outline that allowed me to just write the story without having to do too much research to understand how some chracters are. Next commission story will be basedo n Dragon Ball, followed by one based on Spider-Man, then one on Resident Evil

I really need to take a day to finish the 6th chapter of my Persona story... but the commission stories take priority.

Phillies lost tonight to the Diamondbacks backs and now for the first time in the teams history, and now they are forced to play a game 7 tomorrow. It's do or die for the Phillies... 

But hey, congrats to the Rangers for eliminating the Astros.

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was the usual nonsense, but we had PandaSweet along for the ride as we had some very good matches statistically while were were let down by people not pulling their weight on several occasions. I picked up five plays of the games this week, two as Junker Queen, one as Dva and one as Sombra.

Speaking of Sombra, who rework certainly fits my play style a bit more with a controller, and no longer having to worry about accidentally pressing L3 and destroy her transmitter to teleporter to a health pack. Of course now the challenge is figuring out the timing of all her cool downs to really be effective.

Anyway our next stream is slated for around 9:30 PM Eastern on Monday with the start of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

For tonight's raid we went over to twitch.tv/kalenal where Final Fantasy XIV was featured. Yes we raided Kalenal last night, but Kal is a great friend, and with my current schedule it's not always easy to catch her streams.

Got a fair bit of writing done finishing the WWE commission request we started yesterday and knocking out the one for The Flash. Next is a complicated commission story based around AEW, then we have a Dragon Ball commission as well.

Of course Monday morning I have that Zoom orientation as a Petite Jury at 8 AM in the morning... ugh. At least I don't have to go to the court house, that's a real pain in the ass.

Phillies and now need one more win to advance to the World Series for the second year in a row. Hopefully they can win on Monday night.

Starfield and other notes

 Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream of Starfield saw me mostly doing side quests as I came across them, some find of interesting, as we stuck mostly to one planet. I did find it really odds that my characters got roped into being recruited by two factions as I turn down one and then automatically got stuck with the other. Also learned there is no way to break down stuff from the inventory... which makes sense I guess because you are supposed to go out and search for resources, but at the same time inventory management is a fucking chore, not to mention finding vendors who will accept various items is a nightmare because trying to remember where shops are is quickly becoming a pain.

Now we did complete the first big mission for Constellation, so we now apparently have choices on how to proceed on the main story. Anyway, night time we play Starfield will be next Saturday night.

Didn't get as much writing done as I wanted to today for a WWE related commission, but it's nearly finsihed so after I post this blog I'll get write to that. Then I have two more story commission, one based on the Flash CW series and another one for AEW (thankfully the person who wants that included a nice big outline for me to follow)

I have been watching the Team Four Star commentaries on Dragon Ball Z Abridged, and it's become increasingly fascinating over what they do and don't remember.

At the time I'm writing this, the Phillies were up 6-1 on the Diamondback in game 5 of the NLCS... hopefully they can hold on and return to Philadelphia up 3 games to 2.

Killer Instinct, Story Writing and other notes

Second day in a row work was cancelled, but I did got to ask a question regarding the how the current political climate in the United States may have actually negatively effect the world of Market Research. I suspect Donald Trump has made it virtually impossible for any traditional questions to be asked regarding how people feel about various public figures, and I know some agencies who favor conservatives are afraid of pissing him off.

Still have been applying for everything I can come across, hopefully something will pan out.

Anyway, because of no work, we started the st ream early at 6:30 PM Eastern and rolled with Killer Instinct tonight, learning the basics of how to play and seeing what the game has to offer. I saw there was a story mode that means it would be worth checking out the lore of the game, but the Shadow Lords and its micro-transactions based system certainly raised an eyebrow. Surprised there was no traditional arcade ladder though.

That meant I ended up playing a lot of matches against other players, and something that became real apparent is that Killer Instinct has an awful match making system, throwing low tier new comers against top ranked players with no actual rhyme of reason. Yes Killer Instinct is something like 10 years old, so the pool of players is going to be modestly small, but I certainly could tell the world of difference between me losing a close fight against another player with the same skill level as myself, and getting my faced stomped in.

Was shocked at how many achievements there are in Killer Instinct as well, so in terms of just 'grinding things out', the game certainly has replay value to anyone willing to try and go through the torture of it. Seeing as how there's a big update coming to improve various aspects of the game, I suspect there will be a spark of player interest in it once again.

Knocked out two story commissions today, which when the funds come in makes up for no work today, the first story was based on AEW's The Outcasts, and the second was based on the video game Vanquish. Really wish I knew more about both to put in more details, but hey, between both stories over 6500 words were written.

Out next schedule stream over on twitch.tv/fredcasden  is for 9:30 PM eastner on Wednesday with Resident Evil 6 with Iceman. Regardless of if there is work or not, Wednesday's stream will not start early in order to make sure RE6 is properly featured.
