Big night of Overwatch

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream got off  to a rough start as my mic wasn't quite working correctly, warranting a stream restart. First time that's ever happened.

Once that was sorted, we got down to playing Oveewatch 2, big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun. We certainly were hampered by some noobs who clearly had no clue of what they were doing, but we did won a lot more than we lost. I picked up four plays of the game (1 as Moira, 2 as Reinhardt and 1 as Junker Queen), which means this months collection of Plays of the Game for March is at 18 (assuming I don't get one in an off-stream session).

Other characters used were Orisa, Wrecking Ball, Ana, Mei, Junkrat, and a handful of others.

Did discover that the analog stick on my Xbox One controller does have some drift, mostly moving in an upward direction. So will have to track down a back up wireless controller for it at some point if it get worse.

For the raid we dropped in on Flint_Locke who was doing a voice acting stream of the visual novel Hotoful Boyfriend over at twitch.tv/flint_locke

The plan for tonight's stream is of course Hi-Fi Rush, picking up at Chapter 4 I believe, and if things go right we could knock out a huge chunk of the game tonight. Yes we are looking for the possibility of finishing Hi-Fi Rush this week, and what we do tonight will determine that.

With the strong possibility of finishing Hades on Thursday, I'll have to consider what to do with the Thursday night streams.

Finished up both the Dragon Ball short story commission and the original idea I had for an All That story. The first is already up on my Subscribestar page and will be posted publicly after the 28th, the later will be exclusive for my Subscribestar followers for the month of April

Ended up doing more organizing of things in the basement, getting the shelves in order mostly as I do want to move away from using crates as make-shift 'bookcases'

Also ended up watching Space Jam last night, for no real reason, just wanted to watch something silly.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Kicking Off 2022

Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to 2022!

You know when it came to last night's stream, I easily could've just picked one thing and spent the entire night featuring one game.. but no, I made it a variety night, trying out some stuff and bouncing from game to game. I am silly like that. All games but were were played on the PlayStation One

We kicked off the night with the PlayStation version of Shock Wave: Assault. Prior to yesterday, the last time I played it was probably in the year 2000, but that would've been the Windows 95 version. We managed to cover a few of the early missions, and I felt I got a good handle on the controls. Surprisingly, not every button on the PlayStation controller is used. Funny thing, I do remember the Windows 95 version being harder to control, but I don't remember if I was using a joystick, mouse and keyboard or a game pad at the time.

Next was Rushdown, a game my younger brother had, which I don't remember ever seeing him play. It's an extreme sports title, that features timed trials either on a snowboard, kayak or bicycle in 5 locations. It's a really limited game and really comes down to mastering each course with each way of getting down it to unlock other courses.

Broke WWF War Zone, and I can safely say last time I played this was way back in 1998. We did a few matches in the Championship Challenge mode to see if we could get one of the promos to pop (it did for Triple H, whose promo was clearly recorded during his blue blood gimmick). Funny thing I realized about War Zone's roster is that it clearly was set some time in early to mid 1997, and it was clear there was some last minute adjustments made to get things as up to date as possible with Bret Hart and The British Bulldog leaving in November that year, Faarooq's baby face turn in early 1998, and other little details. On a side note, I could not do any finishers.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories was the next game featured, and boy did I remember why I regretted getting it when it came out in the early 2000s. While the story is well done with some nice visual novel presentation, the game play is the most brutal case of 'RNG' from that time period. You have to have knowledge of every card, know which ones can be combined to make more powerful monsters that can defend or attack. I do think I have a save on one of my memory cards, I would have to check.

Space Jam made its second appearance on the year, as we played two games, winning one of them... because I increased the difficulty in the second game. Still it was nice to get some of the various Loony Tune dunk animations to pop, such as Tweety lifting Sylvester, and Elmer Fudd's face planting against the from of the rim.

I finally tried out Power Rangers; Time Force... and boy oh boy, was I not expecting the wonky hit box detection. Clearly this game was rushed, as I feel like nothing I was doing was really connecting against the enemies, and navigating can be a pain, regardless if using the D-Pad or Analog stick. With the 'beat the level within the time limit gimmick', this is a game where mastering where everything is located is key to be able to get the rewards. That said, the use of Footage from the Super Sentai series Time Force was based on was pretty cool. Also this was the game I was playing to enter 2022.

To close out the stream, I loaded up the Nintendo Switch to play a little Kirby's Adventure, getting through the first two words (as in beating the bosses of both words following the standard stages). I really should sit down to see if I can fully beat this game on stream some day. I also forgot to get a screenshot of Kirby's Adventure... oops!

Following the stream we sent the fun over to FelKimChi who was playing Minecraft! You can find their channel over at twitch.tv/felkimchi!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Daily Workout featured Intermediate Combo #1, Triple Combo #2 and Biceps Shape Focus Combo for a duration of 31 minutes and an estimated calorie burn of 519 kcal. Here are the stats for the week

  • Punches Thrown: 10,272
  • Estimated Calorie Burn: 4083.30 Kcal

Someone needs to tell Kanye West that stalking Kim Kardashian is probably going to land him in prison... actually, don't tell him, the comedy of him being arrested and locked away would be awesome!.

Keeping my daily achievement streak going and to kick off 2022, I knocked off another Street Fighter II game from the 30th Anniversary Collection.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Achievements

  1. True Champion: Beat Street Fighter II': Champion Edition.

Because of the length of last night's stream I did not put in any time on Final Fantasy XIV, granted it would've mostly been cut scenes anyway near as a I can tell for the Main Story Quests!

For tonight's stream we shall be playing Pokemon Shining Pearl, as we'll be heading to the eighth gym and level grinding as much as possible along the way!

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 7/29/21: Fighting In The Streets

Good morning everybody,

Last night's stream featured Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which oddly enough is not listed on Twitch as a select able category.... which is really weird! Anyway we started by doing an arcade run of Street Fighter Alpha 2, my favorite of all the Capcom fighting games, and of course we've done it with Sakura, because she is my favorite character to use. If she's in a Capcom fighting game you cane bet your ass we're going to use her. There were a few interesting moments, such as my historic problems with dealing with Ken and always needing a handful of tries when facing Ryu.

Beyond that, we messed around with Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Street Fighter III 2nd Impact, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Super Street Fighter II Turbo & the original Street Fighter. We even got in four online matches, winning 3 of them. All and all it was a good night with variety of the Capcom fighting games.

Since were playing the 30th Anniversary Collection on the Xbox One, we earned a couple of achievements.

  1. Find Your Match: Completed an Online Match.
  2. Everything's Custom: Beat Street Fighter Alpha 2.

And of course we have some clips from last night as well.

About half way into the stream we did switch over to Tom Clancy's The Division with Iceman, as we continued on doing post-game stuff, replaying missions on the Hard difficulty setting and messing around the piers. This is mostly to chase a couple of achievements and for sure, we're going to wrap up doing the missions on hard next week. Also here are some clips from that portion of the stream!

Started work on a Space Jam related fan fic, this is a non-commission piece that will be on HF when it's done, the physical logistics of some things will be a bit questionable to say the least.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Daily Workout lasted 31 minutes with the estimated calorie burn being 458 kcal, and we did do some extra free training, so the complete session was 43 minutes with the estimated calorie burn being 667 kcal. We did earn one achievement which lead to another one of Karen's attire options being unlocked.

  1. Karen's Trainee: Perform 10 daily workouts with Karen

Other progress update is that we're up to 8 out of 10 for the Karen's Buddy achievement, which we should knock out tomorrow depending on how I'm feeling following the daily workout. We are also up to 98 out of 100 for the King Fit Fighter achievement. So we're two achievements away from 100% completing the game.

During the stream, I had a delivery, and we added physical editions of Mass Effect 3 (Xbox 360), Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Xbox One/Series) and Mass Effect Andromeda (Xbox One). Why would I add the physical copies of games I own digitally to my collection? Well mostly for collectors purposes.

There's a lot being said about things that happened behind the scenes as Activision Blizzard, and the question of if I should no longer feature Overwatch on stream has crossed my mind. But Overwatch is one of the few games I am willing to play online with others on stream... and I'll have to really think hard about what I would want to replace it with. Paladins and Smite are both strong nos as I'm concerned, and I really ave zero interest in other similar MOBA games.

Tonight's stream will of course lead off with Star Trek Online and we'll pair it up with something else, maybe we'll pick a single game to focus the second half of the stream on.

And on that note we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 7/25/21: The Grind Is Real

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream featured Pokemon Let's Go Eevee as we traveled from Cerulean City all the way to Lavender Town over the course of about 5 hours and 45 minutes. Now one would assume because of that amount of time I would've cleared two gyms, Vermilion City plus Lavender Town but nope... a good chunk of tonight was spent trying to catch Pokemon and dealing with the timing, aiming and the annoyance that I can't quite get the Pokeball to go to the right. Occasionally I can get it to go to the left when I want to, but for the most part I'm hoping for the Pokemon to remain dead-center.

But the biggest issue I had (besides my team's Pikachu leveling up slower than everyone else on my team) is how random it seems when it comes to Pokemon breaking out of the balls. I get it, that's the struggle and gimmick of Pokemon Go that was implemented into this remake of the Pokemon Yellow, but it gets really annoying when you get Excellent throws that feel penalized then get one toss captures on terrible throws.

That said there were a few cute moments, mostly focused around Eevee having some special cut scenes and learning key abilities and a run in with Team Rocket that sees a member of the Elite Four coming to our aid. The game's story is different 'enough' from the original to make it stand out... even if there are some continuity issues.

Anyway, here are some clips from last night.

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee 7/24/21 Clip 1: Don't You Vomit Me On Me!

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee 7/24/21 Clip 2: Weepinbell''s Vine Whip For The Win!

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee 7/24/21 Clip 3: Eevee Being So Damn Cute

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee 7/24/21 Clip 4: Catch The Graveler in Mid-Ar

Pokemon Let's Go Eevee 7/24/21 Clip 5: An Ominous Arrival

Since we are starting a new week that means we have a highlight reel of everything from last week, which featured Overwatch, Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, God of War, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Tom Clancy's The Division, Star Trek Online, Star Wars: Masters of the Teras Kasi, Tekken 2, Wild 9 & Pokemon Let's Go Eevee!

There is a question on if I'll start a second large campaign game for Friday Nights since we wrapped up God of War last week... but since there is still stuff to do in God of War, I'm really debating on if I should try and get close to 50% completion of the trophies and such. Not really sure people would want to see me get my but handed to me repeatedly by Valkyries!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Daily Workout lasted 28 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 436 kcal, we did do some extra things, so the total session was 40 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 594 kcal. This was the last daily session using Evan as a trainer as we switched over to Karen and we went ahead unlock most of her outfits to knock out some her appearance related achievements. Because of how tickets were rewarded, six of her attires remain lock, but we should be able to a couple unlocked tomorrow. Here's the list of achievements unlocked today

  1. Karen's Stylst: Change Karen's Outfit
  2. Karen's Fashion Designer: Put a matching outfit together for Karen
  3. Karen's Fashion Saboteur: Mismatch an outfit for Karen
  4. Evan's Best Friend: Reach A Trusting Parternship With Evan

With those achievement done, we're at 97 out of 100 for the King Fit Fighter achievement, but since that is an actual percent, there are 5 achievements for Karen: Karen's New Student, Karen's Best STudent, Karen's Trainee, Karen's Buddy and Karen's Best Friend. So to get her remaining attires all six of the remaining achievements must be reached.

It's Sunday which means Overwatch is on the agenda! The Summer Games Event is in full effect and so I've updated the skins and voice lines for every character. Granted I only use the same handful every week, but still... I like to keep things uniformed!

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 7/22/21: She's Poison... Poison Running Through My Veins!

Good morning everybody,

First happy birthday to my younger brother Leo!

Last night's stream lead off with Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and the questionable match making continued as I ended up facing dudes well beyond what I'm capable of hanging with. We won a few matches here and there, included a couple by folks who quit out right. Or probably were victims of the wonky game servers, as I got booted from a match as well. No achievements unlocked, but we do have a couple of clips.

Twitch Clip: Power Rangers Battle For The Grid 7/21: Happy With That Win

Twitch Clip: Power Rangers Battle For The Grid 7/21: Win With Chun Li's Super

Twitch Clip: Power Rangers Battle For The Grid 7/21: I Don't Know How I Won

Out attention then turned to Space Jam: A New Legacy, the beat 'em up brawler that is free to play... and it's really mediocre. Nothing really stands out about it, some of the voice samples used for Lebron James, Bugs and Lola Bunny (no relation - haha Tiny Toons references!) are a bit repetitive . There is a nice variety of enemies but hit detection can be really wonky. It does have 3 player local multiplayer, but the lack of an online mode does stress the fact this game was an after thought. In all honesty, they should've made an over the top NBA Jam style basketball game. Anyway we did beat the game, so it counts for the tour. Now we did get some achievements out of it

  1. Clipped His Wings: Defeated The Brow
  2. Best of the Best: Defeated White Mamba
  3. Hoop Star Completed Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game

And of course there are some clips as well.

Twitch Clip: Space Jam: A New Legacy 7/21: Lola In Action

Twitch Clip: Space Jame A New Legacy 7/21: What's Updoc?

Twitch Clip: Space Jam A New Legacy 7/21: Taking Down The White Mamba

Next our attention turned to Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, where it certainly was struggle just to clear arcade mode! We started with Guile and Sakura for a combined effort run that went no where.... but then we stepped away, came back and set things up to use Poison, a character I know how to use in Street Fighter X Tekken, but not in SSFIV. So it was basically me trying to figure out what worked and hoped for the best. Now I don't know what it is with SSFIV, but it's difficult spike in its arcade mode can be down right ridiculous. I'll also stand by what I said that Seth, along with Gil in Street Fighter III is incredibly cheap in what they can do.

That said, upon clearing the arcade mode with Poison I did rather like her 'ending' where she basically has all the Final Fight Alumni along with Ken & Ryu within her rock & wrestling promotion.

Now I did try my hand at some online matches, but I basically got bodied (LOL)

Of course we have a few highlights from this as well.

Twitch Clip: Super Street Fighter IV 7/21: Rival Battle - Sakura Vs Ryu

Twitch Clip: Super Street Fighter IV 7/21: Poison Vs Rolento

Twitch Clip: Super Street Fighter IV 7/21: Poison Vs Seth

Lastly we did do some The Division stuff, but without Iceman who was unavailable, so I just messed around on the Docks and tried one of those endless waves. Managed to clear 3 waves before things went south for me. No achievements were unlocked.

But we do have a few moments

Twitch Clip: The Division 7/21: Clearing Wave 8

Twitch Clip: The Division 7/21: Wave 9... Does Not Go Well

During the stream my mail arrived late (at 7:30 PM Eastern which is very strange) and so we revealed the latest additions to the collection. First up is Spice World for the PlayStation, mostly because it was cheap and if I can mess with the audio settings it would make for a good gag game to stream. Next Virtua Quest for the PlayStation 2, proving that Virtua Fighter, like Tekken and Mortal Kombat, tried to expand on the popularity of the franchise. Lastly is Young Justice Legacy for the PlayStation 3, I have played the Steam version, but tracking down a PS3 copy that actually has online multiplayer means we could start a session and see if anyone join. Or just go through the whole game solo which is more likely.

Also did a little just chatting stuff... so...

Twitch Clip: Trying To Understand Why Space Jam: A New Legacy Isn't A Basketball Game

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout lasted 31 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 533 kcal. I was running a bit behind today, so we didn't do anything extra. We're now up to 89 out of 100 for the Evan's Best Friend achievement. If we can keep the 3 points per day, we'll knock this out by Monday which of course is what I estimated we would earlier in the week.

For tonight's stream, we'll be leading off with Star Trek Online and then messing around with some games from the PlayStaiton One era. Nothing major or seriues unless something really grabs my attention!

And on that note we'll see you later today over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 7/18/21: Let Go With Eevee!

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night we started up Pokemon Let's Go Eevee on the Nintendo Switch, and if I remember right it was about a year ago we were playing Pokemon Shield, so the timing is kind of perfect! First off, the battles mechanics are the same as they are in every Pokemon game, so nothing knew there in terms of how give commands, use items and so forth.

The biggest challenge with the Pokemon Let's Go games is the fact for streaming purposes I have to use the joy cons, because this game was designed to be similiar to the Pokemon Go app in terms of catching Pokemon, so we have to do a throwing motion. The best thing I figure is to just try to get it in the middle, because I don't exactly have the best set up to do a throwing motion. It's really tough to figure out what counts a solid throw or a weak one. This does remind me of a detail of Pokemon Shield where you had hte option of trying to capture first or battling against wild Pokemon... and I do wish this was the case here, because leveling is up is tied to both catching wild Pokemon and doing battles against trainers, which as far as I know is the only way to get Poke-dollars to buy Pokeballs... so it's possible to screw oneself over in this game.

So it's safe to say the majority of streams will involve me badly missing throws, even if I manage to catch 39 Pokemon with 20 of them being unique.

Anyway here are some clips from last night!

Twitch Clip: Eevee Versus Pikachu... Eevee Wins By Knock Out!

Twitch Clip: Playing with Eevee

Twitch Clip: Vine Whip Them Good!

Twitch Clip: A Mankey versus My Eevee

Twitch Clip: Buzzy Buzz! It was Super Effective

It's the start of a new week which means let's recap what we did last week with the weekly highlight reel. This week's video includes clips from all the games played on stream: Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise, Overwatch, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Power Rangers; Battle for the Grid, Tom Clancy's The Division, Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium, Cartoon Network Racing, George of the Jungle & The Search For The Secret, Space Jam, Star Trek Online, God of War & Pokemon Let's Go Eevee!

Per the recommendation of long time friend of the channel Mezmerrizer, we added Wild 9 for the  the original PlayStation to the collection. I know nothing about the game, so it will be interesting to check it out on stream at some point!.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout lasted 31 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 505 kcal. Since I didn't wake up till mid-afternoon, I elected not to do this session on Twitch, which means I'll try to do tomorrows for a stream or maybe Saturday's. We are now up to 77 out of 100 for the Evan's Best Friend achievement.

It's Sunday which means Overwatch is on tap for tonight. I know Mayhem matches were available yesterday cause I played a few yesterday afternoon off-stream, so if it cycles back around to be an option for tonight that's the way we'll roll! Otherwise, just standard quick play matches and I will work on keeping a list of match results!

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 7/15621: How Come Space Jam 2's Game Isn't A Basketball Game?

 Good morning everybody,

Last night's stream started with Star Trek Online, with the big focus on course being on doing the Endeavor Quests... and regretfully , one of the quests called for playing a single PVP (player versus player) match... and this exposed one of the things the developers of Star Trek Online stopped caring about, at least in terms of 'balance' in regards to all the gear in the game. Back in the early days of Star Trek Online, a lot of patch updates involved tweaking what powers and abilities did what, but since about 2013, the developers just stopped and so any time a new console, space or ground set came out it threw things further out of what , making PVP just basically a dead concept.

Anyway we do have a couple of clips from STO for last night here.

Twitch Clip: Kick Tires Light Fires and Get Exploded Right off The Bat!

Twitch Clip: The dreadnought did not stand a chance!

Following the Star Trek Online portion, my attention turned to older games, so we hooked up the PlayStation 2 and the first thing we played was Space Jam, on the medium setting and with the 'mini games' turned off, so it was straight up 4 quarters of 5 minute basketball. Space Jam does show its age, but it is still a charming little game, and if you can pull off some of the Tunes special dunks in makes for some great moments. Playing defense is tough and it's easy to lose track of the ball. Something that does stand out is the fact the scoreboard only goes up to a max of 99, so one you score 100, it turns over to 00, so the scoring gets really fucking weird and doesn't totally reflect what is happening. Beating MonStars does cause the credits to role, so technically we beat the game and added it to the games finished list. There is another game mode called Intergalactic Tournament which would make for an interesting challenge, having to win 5 game straight using the Tune Squad without Michael Jordan that could make for an interesting night.

That said, it blows my mind the Space Jam 2: A New Legacy gets a fucking beat'em up game instead of a basketball game for it's tie in. I mean why? I was told that it was became the concept won a contest? If you have a movie that is based around basketball, you make a basketball game. An updated version of what we saw on the original PlayStation would've been great.

So, here are some clips of Space Jam:

Twitch Clip: Lola Bunny: She Don't Look Like No Doll

Twitch Clip: The Thunder From Down Under! Raz-Ma-Taz!

Twitch Clip: Le Pew For 2... Daffy Hits The Back Board!

Twitch Clip: Wile E Coyote: Super Genius Super Star

Next my attention turned to Cartoon Network Racing for the PlayStation 2, and I was surprised by the face not only is there music from the shows represented but everything is based around the early Cartoon Cartoon breakout shows (Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Labortory, Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel, The Powerpuff Girls & Courage The Cowardly Dox), with plenty of characters (and unshockable) representing each show. It does use a variation of Mario Kart controls, and it does control a little stiffly, but there is a surprising charm to it that just works. Of course the first driver we used was Johnny Bravo... and you can mix and match between the drivers and their partners, so you can have say Dee Dee driving and Mojo Jojo being her partner for the race.

Here are some clips of this particular game

Twitch Clip: Johnny Bravo For The Win!

Twitch Clip: For Science!

Twitch Clip: Dreadful!

George of the Jungle: Search for Secret was a game I was aware of that had a bad reputation, having a 30 metric critic score. It's a 2/3D plat-former adventure that has George looking for a bunch of papers from a book that apparently is the solution for the common cold. George has several abilities basic combat, vine swinging, a ground smash to break through barriers. But the game's biggest drawback is the stiff controls combined with the punishing '3 lives and you're done' approach. Meaning once you die, you start over... or you start the level you died at with 1 life instead of 3. I can see why just based on that why the reviews were bad.

So here are some clips from it!

Twitch Clip: Figuring Out Stuff

Twitch Clip: Come on George!

Twitch Clip: Taking down the Superintendent of the Monkeys!

Lastly, for the first time ever I played SNK vs Capcom 2: Mark of the Millennium, a game that arrived in the mail yesterday morning.  Choosing to go into arcade mode on default settings and going with 1 on 1 fights, I picked Sakura and made my way through it, even managing to draw out a mini-boss battle against Geese.... everything was going well until I ran into Rugal, the final boss (I think), and got my ass stomped. The game disc did glitch out (against my PlayStation 2 slim is well over 15 years old and the game disc is about 20 years old), but we gave it a good shot. Maybe I'll take another crack at it someday! On the plus side: Sakura does handle the way I like to use her in other Street Fighter / Capcom fighting games...  hey she's my main for a reason!

Here are some clips of my first time messing with Capcom vs SNK 2!

Twitch Clip: Well I Beat Geese! (Arcade Mode)

Twitch Clip: Let's FN Go! Sakura vs King (Arcade Mode)

Twitch Clip: The only round I won against Rugal

Twitch Clip:  Sakura vs Terry! (Survival Mode)

A long time reader of some of my old fan fiction came to me with an offer for me to write a fic involving a particular WWE Hall of Famer as a follow up to a story I did for them back in February... I liked the concept so much that I already started it!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout lasted 31 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 576 kcal. It's funny that after over a year I finally start to feel I'm improving in regards to breathing with every punch thrown. Anyway we didn't do anything extra today, just stuck with the daily. We're now up to 71 out 100 for the Evan's Best Friend achievement.

Tonight we're back to God of War on the PlayStation 4, and we'll be advancing the plot forward, since we spent so much time on Side Quests last week!

And on that bombshell we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Hanging in Iðunn’s Orchard

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream of God of War saw a couple of things, one I was using a wired controller for the session, I'm using a NACON Wired Compact Control (found here: https://amzn.to/3hOcN6E) and the reason for it is because I don't trust the battery life of the PS4 controllers. If a fully charged PS3 controller can handle 4+ hours of gaming, shouldn't its successor be able to top that? Apparently not. The advantage of having a wired controller now means no need to worry about making sure the PS4 controller is fully charged or worrying about how long the charge will last.

Anyway, what we focused on in God of War was mostly side quests, tracking down stuff for the dwarfs, finding spirits and helping them rest in piece, Nordic rune chests and so forth. We really didn't progress much on the story until the very end when we reached a new area and saw a giant of a giant laying dead in the snow and ice. Did managed to fully upgrade Kratos' health so I can be a little more reckless with going into fights against tougher opponents, but thankfully I understand the controls enough to hold my own against enemies ranked three level higher that I am.

We did get one trophy last night as well.

  1. Iðunn’s Orchard: Fully upgrade your Health

And of course we do have some clips from last night's stream for you to check out as well

Twitch Clip: I Told You So

Twitch Clip: Here we go again on our own!

Twitch Clip: Had to be dealt with!

Twitch Clip: Rip and Tear! Groovy!

Twitch Clip: He just took a swim

Yesterday I did play a lot of APBA Baseball, basically knocking the entire month of August 1909, and as the season comes to a close, I don't think The Detroit Tigers of this game will be able to surpass the Philadelphia Athletics who have a stronger pitching staff and better offense. Granted my Tigers are like a 1.5 games behind, but alot would have to go right to see if I can duplicate history with a very weakened pitching staff.

Also did a little Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, playing three matches and winning two of them. Always amazes me when I see nearly 25+ year old tactics with Pai work.

We picked up Rumble Roses for the PS2 yesterday, it is a wrestling game by Konami that is a bit of a cult classic that had a semi-squeal for the Xbox 360. Also for the PS2 managed to track down Capcom Fighting Evolution, released by Capcom to celebrate its arcade fighter history but got absolutely ripped critically. A bit more topical though is that we added Mega Man Legends which oddly enough was discussed this week over on The Completionist YouTube Channel and Space Jam (since the sequel is coming out this upcoming Friday). I never played Mega Man Legends before, but Space Jam is another game that I know was in my younger brother's collection that has apparently gone missing
