Melty Blood Type Lumina Is One Of The Best Fighting Games I've Ever Played

This past week over on my twitch channel (https://twitch.tv/fredcasden 9:30 PM Eastern Start Time Mondays To Fridays, 5PM on Saturdays and Sundays) I've been playing Melty Blood: Type Lumnia. Now I was made aware of Melty Blood existence thanks to someone asking me if I ever played any game in the franchise because the developers of Under Night In-Birth also worked on a number of the older Melty Blood titles. So, it had my attention, because I really liked Under Night In-Birth. But there was a problem, the first being all the old Melty Blood games were release well before 2020, and there was no collection containing them. But then it turned out there was one Melty Blood game released in 2021, 'Type Lumina' which was a reboot of the original fighting series, done in conjunction with the reboot of the Tsukihime source material.

So finally, I decided to play it here in 2026, and visually, it's a great looking sprite base fighter, even if some movements don't exactly make sense at times.  The controls are modern, every thing build around fireball back, fireball forward, dragon punch motions, and it's universal, so if you learn one character's moves, you basically can play as anyone. But this is the genius part, every character plays differently. There is a world a difference between playing as Vlov Akrhangel who is one of the tallest and slowest characters in the game who can be very stationary and Noel who has limited projectile uses but has a fair amount of speed and combo routes. Even if every character has the same basics, I've been having fun figuring out what I can do as a casual fighting game enthusiast.

There are some really cool gimmicks, such as the shield block / counters, health regeneration, blood drive, so there is a lot of strategy involved. Especially with Survivor mode where you have to constantly ask yourself do you want to save your meter or use a Arc Drive finish or EX move. This holds true for normal game play as well from one round to the next. But there is also the strategy that involves intentionally losing a round so you can use the Last Arc attack

And this leads me to the difficulty. Most fighting games have a very unbalanced 'AI / CPU' opponent system, as some developers favor extreme difficulty from the 90s (The Breakers), or things become very 'block heavy' (Them's Fighting Herds, Marvel VS Capcom 2). With Melty Blood: Type Lumina, I can actually play against the CPU on the Hardest difficulty and actually feel like I have a chance at winning outright. While I've yet to successfully complete a Time Attack or A Score Attack challenge on Hard, I'm not feeling overwhelmed by the game, and realize where I, as a player, make mistakes,

The gallery is pretty decent, unlocking sprite art work, some original pieces, character portraits and bios that are heavily detailed in giving everyone's back story but without giving spoilers. There are also guest characters from the Fate series in the game, so if you're familiar with those games (which I am not), you get a little more out of it.

All these positives aside, this is not a perfect game. Whoever did the English localization used text too big to fit in the text box, there is not English voice over cast, many of the titles that you unlock are in Japanese. But these are just nitpicks for the sake of nitpicking. Obviously the biggest problem Melty Blood Type Lumina (and specifically on the Xbox side since that's the version I'm playing) is that as an older fighting games (old as in 5 years in this case...) there is no one online to play against. I'm not saying I'll do well in online play, but it would be nice to see what the net code is like... and I've proven as recently as this year with Dead or Alive 6 and Mortal Kombat 1 that I can hold my own in online matches.

If any of this made any sense to you, then I highly recommend that you check it out. I know I'll be messing around with it for the next few weeks because I do want to spotlight every characters.

We Learned How To Play DragonBall FighterZ

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream saw us start up Dragon Ball FighterZ and we spent a lot of time in the tutorial mode, learning the ins and outs of the game at a casual level, plus knocked out 200 of the combo challenges. There was a reason for that, as much like Persona 4 Arena and Under Night In-Birth and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r], there were achievements associated with those game modes.

We did tackle one of the arcade runs, the Snakeway one, and nearly pulled off the requirements for S rank on the first attempt, getting ranks of A, S and C which pulled the average down. Attempts made later on were not as I couldn't finished the third fight. Doesn't help that I was hitting RB and not RT to keep the pressure on the A.I.

Attempted a couple of online matches, won a match against someone who was AFK, and got my butt handed to be by a player who clearly created a second profile in order to beat up on newer players. That was 'wonderful' experience.

On a side note, I'm surprised at how many achievements are ranked 'diamond' (as in less than 10% of Xbox players who have played this game accomplishing the achievement)... so it was nice to get a couple like that.

Monday we'll start up the story mode, and see how long that takes us to do, it might take two streams based on everything I'm seeing.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Achievements

  • Yo, I'm Goku!: Complete a quest tutorial.
  • To Test Myself, I Too Will Fight: Local Battle - Play a match.
  • Snake Way Sensei: Arcade - Complete the Snake Way Course.
  • Farewell, Tien...: Complete seven or more quest tutorials.
  • Battle-Ready: Practice - Complete all battle tutorials.
  • Don't Underestimate Earth!: Practice - Complete 30 Different Combo Challenges.
  • The Power to Go Beyond the Super Saiyan!: Practice - Complete 100 Different Combo Challenges.
  • Before Creation Comes Destruction...: Practice - Complete 200 Different Combo Challenges.
  • Stamp of Approval: Replay - Use a Z Stamp while watching a Replay Channel.
  • It's Play Time!: World Match - Play a Casual Match.
  • Goku Isn't the Only Super Saiyan...: World Match - Play a Ranked Match.

For the raid we dropped in on Joliet4 who was doing a music stream following their weekend at Twitch Con. They do some occasional gaming as well over at twitch.tv/joliet4!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Double Combo #2, Body Hook Combo and Weaving Combo #1 for 31 minutes.

Work yesterday was solid, no complaints other than the assignment I was on having a terrible order of questions to be asked which just destroys the pacing.

Also had the Phillies game on, TV was on mute, rather surprised they racked up 7 runs... I am no surprised that bullpen got exposed because Ranger Suarez had no command, and his houdini act saw him throw 87 pitches in less than 4  innings.

It's inappropriate to make a "dad joke" if you are not a dad. It's a faux pa.

Started writing the latest short story commission request based on the TV series Arrow, the intro turned out pretty solid since it's based around the introduction of Felicity Smoak, but safe to say I won't be able to come up with a solid teaser for any follow up based on how lame-duck episode 4 of season one was.

For tonight's stream, we're back to the wasteland that is West Virginia in Fallout 76 as we'll be working our way though daily objectives and story stuff.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Arcade Games and Being Undefeated

Good afternoon everyone

Last night's stream was supposed to lead off with MVP Baseball on the PlayStation 2... but the one I tested last night refused to read the disc... even though it worked with Marvel vs Capcom 2 like 15 hours earlier. Oh well.

So we called the audible, and loaded up Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium and knocked out a couple of achievements. For the 'Clear a Game on the highest difficulty, I played Knights of the Round, which is a game I'm very familiar with because it was apart of the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Collection. To get the remaining achievements means putting in 97 hours of game time, plus earning enough CAPSO to reach rank 20, and it's going to be a similar approach that I used with the first version of the game at the start of the year.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium Achievements

  • Technician: Clear a game on the highest difficulty setting.
  • Remedial Student: Reach Class 5: Experimenter.
Now we didn't stay with Capcom Arcade Stadium the entire stream, after a break, we switched over to Smite and I won five straight matches in arena, three as Terra, one as Cupid and one as Nike. Also cleared the board for the Nickelodeon event which was rather nice. Other than that, nothing much to talk about there.

For the raid we dropped in on DaemonsW0lf who was playing Destiny 2 over at twitch.tv/daemonsw0lf!

Internet went down a few times yesterday, but I was told that those reports have been forwarded to the maintenance team. Also at the time of this post we had another period of the internet going down,

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Intermediate Combo #1, Biceps Shape Focus Combo and Difficult Challenge Combo #1 for 34 minutes.

Was hanging out over on Rainbownarwhal9's stream as they were playing Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, and the hit 50 followers as part of the requirements to become a Twitch Affiliate. Congrats to them!

A new week has started, which means it's time to recap what we did last week, which featured Overwatch, Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht, Fall Guys, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r], Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium and Smite!

Does anyone need an ark? I Noah guy.

Why did the picture go to jail? Because it was framed!

Finished work on the Metal Gear Solid commission request... and trying to avoid having Quiet speak was a challenge considering the context of the short story. And of course I would get a request to base something around Attack on Titan... which I admit I've only seen the first season of... so some research needs to be done.

UPS finally delivered my package that I was expecting on Friday... little over 24 hours from when I called to report their driver lied about attempting delivery. The things I got to do to get things done.

One last night of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] was totally focused on arcade runs, as we went through the nine remaining characters, and yes it took fours to do, because I still had it set at best 2 out of 4 rounds and on normal difficulty. The biggest issue that ends up happening is how block heavy the A.I. gets as you go through the arcade ladder... then there is the fact if one lets the story segments play out at the spoken word pace, it would take even longer. Still, we saw a few things that stood out, got a few supers to pop, but I'm confident in saying Wagner has the best looking super in the game.

In terms of what's left to do in Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] based on achievements, well there are stuff that is possible to do... but it requires basically endless running through like Score Attack and Time Trials to earn the in-game currency to unlock all the Icons, Titles and Main images... and I'm not going to put the time into that, Now I did try to see if we could do any online matches... and well, I doubt anyone is playing it in 2022, because I don't think it had much of an online following to begin with.

So what will replace Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] on Friday nights as a PS4 title, well I think we'll be taking a look at The Quarry starting next Friday, and I figure we'll get two streams out of it.

 Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] Trophies

  • You Princes of Maiming, You Kings of No End: Fought 10 battles using male characters. (Not unlockable in Training Mode, Tutorial Mode, or Mission Mode.)
  • Dream in All Colors: Unlocked all 30 colors for any character.

Big thanks to LvStikR for renewing their subscription  to my Twitch channel for the 41st time! Woo-hoo!

For the raid we dropped in on Bestibunni who was playing Crusader Kings III over at twitch.tv/bestibunni!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Difficult Challenge Combo #2, Block Combo and Difficult Challenge Combo #3 for 34 minutes.

  • Punches Thrown: 8270
  • Estimated Calories Burned: 3487.88 kcal
  • Laura's Champion Progress: 94% (47 out of 50 hours)
  • King EX Fight Progress: 95%

So I was expecting a delivery via UPS yesterday, and it never arrived, turned out the driver lied about attempting the delivery and I called them out on it straight away. I ended up getting a call from a Supervisor at UPS saying the driver said 'they couldn't find my house'... and I pointed out 'they have GPS', and my home is right on the corner. So now I'm expecting it today.

Internet did go down a bit before 5 PM EST, and we had some slight issues during the stream at 654 PM EST and 658 PM

Played some Fallout 76 and wrapped up the Recruitment Blues quest... and if I was doing that on stream I probably would have lost my mind with how well it replicates the DMV experience.

Fallout 76 Achievements

  • Recruitment Blues: Complete "Recruitment Blues"

Tested the back up PlayStation 2, and other than having to stand it up for it to read a disc, it works great. Also the different HDMI converted with component cables certainly made Marvel vs Capcom 2 look a lot better than I've seen it previously.

Started messing around with Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium to begin the long road of getting all the same achievement with did with the original Capcom Arcade Stadium. It's going to be a long road, but I did knock out all the easy achievements within an hour.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium Achievements

  • Welcome to the Stadium: Play a game.
  • First Failure: Get a Game Over screen.
  • Coin Consumer: Insert nine or more coins in one play session.
  • If I Could Turn Back Time...: Use the Rewind feature.
  • Tempo Conductor: Use the Cycle Speed (Up/Down) or Max./Min. Speed (Hold) feature.
  • Future High Score Lister: Play a game in Score Challenge or Timed Challenge mode.
  • Good Job!: In one play session, gain 10,000 CASPO while playing Score Challenge or Timed Challenge mode.
  • Great Job!: In one play session, gain 25,000 CASPO while playing Score Challenge or Timed Challenge mode.
  • Amazing Job!: In one play session, gain 50,000 CASPO while playing Score Challenge or Timed Challenge mode.
  • First Taste of Victory: Clear a game.

So We Did The New Pandemonium Raids

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV was 99% problem free with one weird bit causing a full break of the stream at 11:27 PM. There wasn't even an attempt by Twitch to hold the stream in place to avoid being split, which was just weird. Of course following the stream I did experience a hot minute of 25% to 75% packet loss at about 12:30 AM. Which is funny since I got yesterday afternoon from Xfinity saying the tech teams found a few issues leading to signal drops that the believe was resolved. We'll see how that lay out.

Anyway, lets talk about the new Pandaemonium raid... I found the 5th Circle and 8th Circle ones to be quite enjoyable, and straight forward. I didn't die much, and when I did, I felt it was a fair death because of how slow my reactions can be to AOEs and my struggles with noticing tells by the boss. Honestly, I do love it when things make sense without having to look up a damn guide to prepare for what I'm having to deal with.

However, I don't have many nice things to say about 6th Circle and 7th circle, as i found them to be extremely gimmicky. 7th Circle with the disappearing floor is just complete bullshit with knock off mechanics, big AOEs and not much room to maneuver.

I did try my first Savage Raid last night... and while I enjoy seeing Kalenal (twitch.tv/kalenal) play them, I found having the big indicators on the screen to indicate where to stand where to go really add to my problems of being able to notice AOEs, Buffs / Debuffs and attack tells. Still had fun with it.

Big thanks to the chat for kicking in 100 bits during the stream.!

Also thank you to Redneck_23 for resubscribing to the channel for the 20th month!

Shout out to Coleyrado for the raid following their stream over on twitch.tv/coleyrado!

Welcome to Pan_Fryer who followed during last night's stream!

For the raid we dropped in on x9abenonymous9x who was playing The Evil Within over at twitch.tv/x9abenonymous9x!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Straight Combo #2, Hip Shape Focus Combo and Intermediate Combo #2 for 28 minutes.

Work yesterday was alright, we bounced from assignment to assignment, but I felt productive to some degree.

Had a power outage hit at around 2 AM... notably because I was trying to make a little progress in Fallout 76 off-stream, and I got a few things done in the Recruitment Blues story arc... which seems to involve a lot of hoops to jump through, since the world of Fallout often involves trying to fulfill requirements of a dead society.

Completing Objectives In Mass Effect 3 and Fall Guys

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream lead off with one more round of the 360 version Mass Effect 3, namely the multiplayer as we went on the quest of getting the Veteran achievement which required 5,000 kills. Now keeping in mind I started the 360 version of Mass Effect 3 way back on August 1st, and here we are 27 days later, and I have all but one achievement unlocked. That last achievement is of course playing the game on finishing the game on Insanity difficulty... which I'm really not inclined to do, because I know how bullet sponge like things like Brutes and Banshees can become, having experienced Gold and Platinum Difficulty in the Multiplayer mode.

Mass Effect 3 Achievements

  • Veteran: Kill 5,000 enemies.
Once my goal in Mass Effect 3 was done, we switched over to Fall Guys, and amazingly we were apart of a winning squad, and I actually came in first on a solo race without realizing it. We also messed around with the Blast Balls event, making it to the final round three times only to come up short all three times. Still, we did complete the battle pass which final rewards were Mecha-Godzilla related. So woo-hoo! We did it!

Twitch Clips

For the raid last night we dropped in on Kalenal as they were playing Final Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/kalenal! Kal will be looking to wrap ob a co-op objective in Stardew Valley on Monday night!

Of course the Xfinity update, we did have a couple of connection slow down which went beyond the Ethernet and WiFi. I just dare them to tell me it's my Ethernet card in my PC, when the same issues of a stable connection affect the Xbox One which is hardwire and my phone which I'm using to constantly check the WiFi when things start going wrong.

Then there was the fact there was a power outage this morning at about 9 AM, which reset everything associated with the Xfinity X8 Gateway

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Hook Combo #2, Beginner Combo #1 and Left-Right Step Combo for 28 minutes.

Finished the latest commission story request for something involving the Shield in WWE... thankfully there was a little promo at WrestleMania 30 that was a YouTube exclusive that made for the perfect framing device.

Did get another commission request, this time for a story based around Resident Evil 3... thing is there are two Resident Evil three... the original, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis released back in 1999... and of course Resident Evil 3: Remake released in 2020. I think I'll use the original release for the frame work of the story because of how the first half takes place before Resident Evil 2, with the second half taking place after. Gives me more roof to play with.

It's the start of a new week, so let's recap everything we featured this past week over on Twitch which was Overwatch, Mass Effect 3, Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV Online, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] and Fall Guys!

Square Enix had an unannounced clearance sale of stuff they no longer own, and so I went ahead and order physical copies what I could that was dirt cheap, which included the Deuz Ex Human Revolution - Augmented Edition for the Xbox 360, plus the standard editionf or PS3 and PC (because why not), Thief for the Xbox One, plus Marvel's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Edition for the PS4. I did miss out on all the Tomb Raider physical copies.

Arcade Runs In Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream featured arcade runs with several characters in Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r], namely Enkidu, Hilda, Londrekia, Merkava, Nanase, Orie, Phonon, Seth, Wagner and Eltnum. One thing that instantly stands out, is that Hilda has no real natural combinations... and Seth was just a chore to play as, with nothing of his seemingly like it leads to anything solid that I could figure stuff out with

On a more positive side, I loved Eltnum's fourth wall breaking as she's from an older game called Melty Blood, so her dialogue reflected dealing with 'rookies'. Also Phonon and Wagner have real intuitive ways of playing, in fact Wagner seems to have some similar combinations to Ken in the Street Fighterseries of game. Also Wagner has the best super in the game from the ones I've seen so far, and we saw a few tonight including Orie, Nanase and Hilda's!

Now since we cover Hyde and Waldstein last week, that means we'll focuse on the rest of the cast of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] on next Friday's stream, at which time we'll count the game as being finished for this year's tour!

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] Trophies
  • Era of the Bad Bitch: Fought 10 battles using female characters. (Not unlockable in Training Mode, Tutorial Mode, or Mission Mode.)
  • Extremely Guarded: Performed Guard Thrust while in Vorpal state. (Not unlockable in Training Mode, Tutorial Mode, or Mission Mode.)
  • Plate Completion: Purchased all Plates.

Fitness Boxing 2 Weekly Stats 8/21 to 8/27

  • Punches Thrown:8566

Work just sucked yesterday afternoon, as I lost complete internet connection 4 times... I forward photos and other notes on the matter to Xfinity. And this wasn't like the stream issues (which we experienced twice last night), I'm talking the modem going to red / orange light status indication no service at all!. Speaking of that, the Gateway indicates the internet went down 1106 AM this morning, and I saw it going completely down again at 409 PM

My Mass Effect 3 grind for the Veteran achievement now stands at 4622 enemies slayed... we only need 378 more!   So to lead off tonight's stream, we're going to focus on that, then we'll do some random stuff.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Final Fantasy XIV 6.2 MSQ Thoughts

Good morning everyone,

The 6.2 update for Final Fantasy XIV rolled out this week.. and on last night's stream we dedicated the entire time (or nearly the entire time) to the New Main Story Quests... and I loved it. Zero... a humanoid/voidsent hybrid, is an incredibly compelling character with a great design comes across as a no-nonsense bad ass, but by the end of the new MSQ quests, one could see probably getting a chance to have a real world around.

The world of the 13th (or the Voidsent realm) made some real extended use of the new dungeon, but we got to learn about what happened to the 13th... and it's the reverse of what happened to the world of the 1st, while it was threatened by Light... the 13th was completely enveloped in Darkness. Outside of Zero, there are no other humanoid beings seen roaming around. This kind of lead to a unique problem for me, because I was engulfed in the story, which meant I didn't want to go back to repair my gear following the dungeon or the mandatory in-cut scene fight sequence before doing the new trial

The new dungeon, called The Fell Court of Troia is very straight forward... and it was full of Trojans, so if you were looking for a pack... I'm kidding, but all the enemies are labeled 'Trojan' something or other, so this obviously feeds into my thinking that there is certainly going to be an emphasis on Greek Myths going forward in FF14. On a first attempt, didn't have too much trouble until reaching the final boss of it.

The new trial, 'Storm's Crown', has two phases in the normal variant, and I had a lot of trouble picking up on the patterns at first. The second phase sees the field being brought in tight, so not alot of room to avoid AOE attacks. Barbariccia has a really night design.

I did start up the Island Sanctuary stuff, so that could be a nice casual diversion from time to time.

Next Thursday we'll focuse on the new Raid content associated with the Pandæmonium story arc, which should be a real treat... or nightmare

Twitch Clips

We picked up a new following during the stream in BestBunni! Always glad to see new folks hanging out!

For the raid we dropped in on Oldish22 who was also playing FInal Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/oldish22!

Had numerous issues with Xfinity yesterday, with the internet going down twice when I was working, including one instance where the upstream power level dropped below 40 which I've never seen before. During the stream we had two minor interruptions, one kicked me from FF14 while the other didn't.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Uppercut Combo #2, Double Combo #1 and Defensive Combo #1 for 28 minutes

Parallel lines have so much in common. It's a shame they'll never meet.

Song of the Day: Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande

The Phillies Swept the Reds... Bryce Harper is coming off of the DL today... and Zach Wheeler was placed on it... Playoffs are still in doubt as far as I'm concerned.

My quest for the Veteran achievement in Mass Effect 3 is 4275 out 5000 enemies killed, or 85% completion

Really need to focus on the recent commission request based around the time The Shield was a thing in the WWE... but I really hate working on fics that involve a large cast of characters.

Saw that Sony had the balls to raise the price for the PlayStation 5 just weeks after shutting down production on the PlayStation 4. But of course by the time I end up go into looking into a PS5, it will be marked down to a reasonable price in the form a bundle.

A Saturday of Fall Guys, Smite and MultiVersus

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream ended up being the usual randomness for a Saturday, leading off with Fall Guys, and I actually game close to actually winning a few 'shows', but came up just a hair short in various circumstances. Hell one elimination I suffered was literally at the last second when I thought I was clear for the next round!  Still we had a lot of fun, and I did see some new things I haven't before which just tells me the developers really love coming with various gimmicks.

We loaded up Smite to play a few matches, mainly to do some challenges and I had a hell of a good game as Eset with 8 kills 1 death and 26 assists. Hell by the time the match ended one of my team mates didn't even hit level 19... and the opposing  team didn't even get past level 17. Sadly the next too matches were not as good, where we surrendered in one.... and started off missing a person in the other.

We closed out the night with MultiVersus, getting in matches as Shaggy, Tom & Jerry, Shaggy, Battman, Jake the Dog, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and others. We won maybe 40% of the matches played, and I had a couple of matches where I had 3 or 4 Eliminations. I did go all in to nab the battle pass, because I feel like I can get a few rewards that would end up looking cool and unique. Plus Tax got a Space Jam '96 skin... and you can't beat that... well you can with Harley's Mad Love skin... but still...

  • Bring A Friend: Get 10 Double Ringouts
  • Social Butterfly: Play 25 matches in a party

For the raid we dropped in on Kalenal who was playing Final Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/kalenal!

Amazingly there were no breaks in the stream thanks to Xfinity related issues last night. We'll chalk that up as a win.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Sway Back Combo, Beginner Combo #2 and Advanced Combo #1 for 34 minuets.

Watched the South Park 25th Anniversary Concert last night, and it's real easy to forget just how good the original music created for South Park was during its long run on the air.

Finished the Commission request for a story featuring Katara from Avatar The Last Airbender. Sure the characters are completely 'out of character' thanks to my unfamiliarity with the show, but I think it turned out decent overall.

The Mindset of the GOP is really becoming more disgusting which is amazing considering hot was just a few weeks ago The party of law and order suddenly doesn't want the law applied to them? Granted this has its roots in the South where White Slave owners didn't want the law applied to them which lead to the civil war back in the 1800s.

It's the start of a new week so let's recap all the game we featured last week which was Overwatch, Mass Effect 3, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r], Fall Guys, Smite and MultiVersus!

Thoughts on Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r]

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night we played on Thoughts on Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] on the PlayStation 4... which is the definitive version of Under Night In-Birth. Now back in 2018 we did featured the Steam version which didn't have the story mode cl-r has... but I'm actually disappointed in the story mode in how it's presented. No English dubbing which completely takes me out getting lost in the story and being able to split my attention... not to mention the story mode is just straight story, no fights in between or choices to break things up and make things interesting. Compared to the story mode in say most of the BlazBlue games and Persona 4 Arena, it is also incredibly slow paced. Needless to say, this is the lone negative of the game.

The fighting mechanics are really solid, and the tutorial (which we spent a good hour with) really lays thr ground work for a lot f things before getting overly complicated.  Under Night In-Birth is a 4 button fighter, so picking up on combos and sequences is fairly intuitive. It's also has one of the most balanced AI difficulties set for default, meaning when I lost at times, I certainly didn't feel cheated.

Visually, Under Night In Birth is quite easy on the eyes, all the characters have distinctive designs that stand out from each other, like one is not going to confuse Mika for Linnie or Hyde for Seth. The audio mix is certainly on the loud side for sure, even when dropping the music volume to 50% and sound effects to 70%.

So how am I going to feature Under Night In-Birth going forward... well I figure doing arcade runs with every character is a given, plus there are some achievements I feel I can obtained in Score Attack and Time Attack. The Score attack one involves earning a cumulative score of over 1 Billion, and Time Attack involves clearing it 3 times with 3 different characters with times less than 12 minutes. Using Mike my time was about 12 Minutes 40 seconds, and I feel I could've easily came in under 12 minutes if one fight didn't go 3 rounds.

Basically, Under Night In-Birth will be featured next Friday!

On a slight downer note, YrGamerBunni has chosen to step back from streaming and content creations to focus on IRL stuff. Here's hoping the best for them!

A 98% Stable Night of Final Fantasy XIV

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV was solid across all fronts, in fact we did another complete run of Wondrous Tails... and unfortunately I didn't get any completed lines to get bonus rewards. I had 3 lines set up with 3 quests to go and then totally bad 'stickers' on the remainder. Would've been nice to mark that moment but oh well. Did have a three trials that I could run Unsync which meant they were done in other 4 minutes.

We were joined by Panda and their new character, so I was in the position of acting as back up while helping them level up abit. We rolled a few dailies in that regard to give them a boost! As always it is great to have Pnada along for the fun!

Over with the my character's development as a Dragoon, I got it up to level 46, and the job quests are tying in directly with what Estinien was up to heading into Heavansward, in his foresight with regard to the Dragons causing some trouble.

For the raid we dropped in on Cammi_316 as they were playing Fortnite over at twitch.tv/cammi_316!

Speaking of Fortnite, I'm not to keen on the choice of Bulma from Dragon Ball Super being the version of that character in the game, when Bulma had much better looks during the original Dragon Ball and early Dragon Ball Z, particularly during the Namek arc.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Weaving Combo #2, Straight Combo #1 and Triple Combo #1 for 28 minutes.

Put in some grinding in Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer, and we passed 3,000 Kills, it is tough to get those kills, but if I just start sessions solo I could probably rack up about 50 to 75 before I get overwhelmed, fewer if folks join the session randomly.

Funny enough Xfinity sent me the letter they sent to the FCC in regards to the issues I've been having, and outside of getting some details wrong and neglecting to mention other details (which I then forwarded to the FCC, took 20 minutes to summarize it all), I can safely say that Xfinity is basically looking to just ignore me and close the case.

That said we had two instances of internet stability issues yesterday at 907 PM EST and 11 PM EST, the first causing a 2 minute gap during the stream. When I woke up this morning, I ended up having to do a signal refresh via the Xfinity app, then at  1046 AM the internet went down completely for a time, both  Xfinity Apps indicate Gateway was offline and an issue was detected causing devices to be unresponsive. Logged into the Gateway when the internet came back up, and saw the event logs matched when the service was disrupted.

Work was very bland yesterday, and I swear if I was ever in a position to actual want to do business with some of the companies we're trying to get feedback from I would just refuse to do so just based on their front office staff.

For tonight's stream, we'll be hooking up the PS4 to play Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[Cl-R], and we'll take the same approach we did with Persona 4 Arena, in doing the story mode and arcade runs while unlocking as many achievements as possible. In fact, the achievement list looks similar to Persona 4 Arena

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!
