Just Your Typical One Night Playthrough of Ghostbusters

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream featured Ghostbusters; The Video Game, and went a lot longer than it probably should for a couple of reasons... one being I was trying to get as many achievements as possible in a single play-through, and I missed out on a few 100% PKE, but I did find every single collectable item, which was something I didn't do when I played the Remastered Version last year. Now my desire to get some achievements certainly lead to me having to re do certain parts, which was frustrating... particularly with the infamous Stone Angels late in the game. The stream itself ran 7 hours, which is long for a Wednesday night for sure but hey, it is the 34th game finished this year

Still on a positive note, I did show that the online multi-player still works... now I just need to find 3 people to play it with! Also a positive is that the Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters The Video game holds up rather nicely, and outside of textures there really isn't that much difference in how it and the Remaster look, in my opinion. On a side note, in comparison to my play through of the Remastered version last September, I actually grabbed 3 more achievements.

Twitch Clips

Big thanks to Redneck_23 for the raid after his stream of Farming Simulator 19, which e was playing over on twitch.tv/redneck_23!

For last night's raid we dropped in on SweetLindir who was playing Smite over at twitch.tv/sweetlindir

With last night's stream going a lot longer than intended, it meant I didn't exactly have much time to  look into other topics for today's blog. It does indeed happen.

Something that was trending (kind of) on Twitter was posting what cartoons premiered in the year you were born... and boy the pickings were rather slim for 1982 with things like Gilligan's Planet & The Gary Coleman Show hitting the airwaves in the United States.

For today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout, the exercises were Weaving Combo #1, Weaving Combo #2, Uppercut Combo #1 and Straight Combo #1. Workout was a solid 45 minuets long.

Kind of work related... so there is this guy running for Govenor of New Mexico named Mark Ronchetti, who was a meteorologist...but one of things he wants to claim is that climate change doesn't exist. Like seriously... dude... you were a weatherman! Clearly you've seen how the climate has changed in your career!

SNK, the developers of the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series of games... is now owned by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. This completely flew under the radar when it happened in April, and safe to say... and while I do have a great deal of respect for the history of SNK, safe to say, I will not be featuring anything from that company going forward.

For tonight's stream we shall be playing Final Fantasy XIV, and depending on how long it takes me to get various things done, we may toss in some Star Trek Online as well!

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Wrapping Up MK Vs DC & The Pain Of Paladins

Good morning everyone,

Well, Sony answered Microsoft's purchase of Activision-Blizzard by buying out Bungie... who made the original Halo and Destiny games. Now with me, this is not much of a counter punch, but hey maybe the Destiny franchise can get back on track... I doubt it considering the nonsense associated with story content in Destiny 2.

Anyway, last night's stream started with Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe with the focus on doing arcade runs of the remaining characters to see their endings... so this included Liu Kang, Raiden, Captain Marvel, Shang Tsung, Catwoman, Sub Zero, Darkseid and Shao Kang. I was surprise that Darksaid and Shao Khan do not have any fatalities. On a side note, outside of Liu Kang and Sub-Zero, probably the easiest character to figure out moves for was Catwoman.

In terms of the endings... the one that I kind of feel would make the most idiotic reason for a big movie cross over since Warner Brothers owns Mortal Kombat and DC Comics, is the use of (The Real) Captain Marvel getting access to the Elder Gods to boost his powers to combat a major threat... and then have Raidan show up for some reason at the end. Not likely to happen but hell it's not like there has been a good Mortal Kombat film since the first one.

We also played Paladins last night for a bit, and as usual I was reminded as to why I stopped playing it so often. The usual nonsense associated with folks not picking on what the team needs and fighting off the objective came to the forefront. I honestly can't believe taking 'two flanks' is still a thing people do in this game, which drives me nuts. Either Two Tanks, Two Damage or Two Supports... never... EVER take two flanks. Anyway, in the matches played I used Ash, Tyra and Ying.

Big thank you to the_tjcalhoun for subscribing to my Twitch channel for the first time with Twitch Prime, Redfoxukcov for resubscribing using Twitch Prime for the 9th straight month and to Sw33ts_Gaming for the Tier 1 sub, continuing their stream at 34 months!

For the raid, there was no raid, we hosted maximilian_dood  who was doing things related to The King of Fighters XV over on twitch.tv/maximilian_dood!

  1. Dropping The Arcade Machine
  2. This is for Man of Steel!
  3. The Free Fall Turn Around Into The Finish
  4. Double Kill!
  5. Avoding Drogoz's Ult

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured a 31 minute workout around Hip Shape Focus Combo, Sway Back Combo and Straight Combo #2 with a calorie burn of 473 kcal. I will admit, with the real cold mornings, it's not always easy to load up the Switch to do the daily workout when one wants to stay nice and snug under the blanket.

My Final Fantasy XIV adventures saw major progress in the Main Story Quest, going from Skies Aflame up through At World's End. The dungeon, Vanaspati was mostly without incident... until myself, the other DPS and the Mage all got K.O.ed... thankfully the Tank, who was playing the role of Warrior which has some insane self-healing capabilities was able to solo the final boss. Needless to say they earned commendation without question.

In terms of how The Final Days is being implemented into Final Fantasy XIV, I really get some strong  Grandia II vibes, particular since the final act of that game sees the world being over run with monsters. That said, there were some surprising moments in the cut scenes and the Aether Currents were easy to find except for one which I missed from the far west side of the map.

Before returning to the World of the First, I will be doing the Ranged DPS Role Quests, which seems to take place back in Doma. Should be interesting to see how the event of the MSQ are effecting other parts of the Realm.

For tonight's stream we'll be focused on Capcom Arcade Stadium, as we're at 98 Hours, so 2 hours of in-game time will unlock the final achievement. Though I easily could've done that last night.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

A Weird Combination: Mario Golf & Soulcalibur V?

 Good afternoon everybody,

Well last night's stream was a weird combination of golf and sword fighting...

We lead off with Mario Golf: Super Rush, and after re-learning how to play, I actually went and played some Ranked matches... and that was real fun, chilled and relaxing. Just three holes, no matter how well you did, you get points and the leader boards apparently resent every month... so we found a reason to actually maybe feature Mario Golf: Super Rush on a regular basis. I do intend to be a Daisy main in it, because Daisy is awesome... and you know this!

Now, I did say I was going to mess around with something in the PlayStation 3... and that ended up being Soulcalibur V, a game we explored a bit earlier in the year. After a successful arcade run as Siegfried, I dived into the story mode... and I see why, without knowing much at all about the lore, people didn't like it.

The main character of the story mode and of Soulcalibur V is named Patroklos, and he is an insufferable twerp... there isn't anything likeable about him as a character. Everything is about his goals, and thus he ends up being used and exploited pretty easily until he realizing that unless he actually makes things happen he won't save his sister, Pyrrha, who really should've been the start of the story mode, because of her tragic back story and her desire not to be alone.

Now my run through the story mode wasn't seamless, and while I was able to brute force my way through most of its fights, I did find myself reducing the difficulty on a couple of fights in the late chapters. I do kind of wish more of was animated instead of looking at still pictures that didn't fill up more than a quarter of screen.

Following the stream, we just hosted Maximilian_DOOD who was messing around with the beta for King of Fighters XV. He is the largest Twitch streamer I follow because I enjoy his content over on YouTube. You can catch his live streams over at twitch.tv/Maximilian_DOOD!

SoulCalibur V Trophies

  1. Colorful Illusion: Creation: took a thumbnail by manually setting a decoration frame and background.
  2. Purge of the Holy: Story: cleared episode 1.
  3. Shields Come Together: Story: cleared episode 8.
  4. Resurrection of Order: Story: cleared episode 16.
  5. Home is Faraway: Story: cleared final episode.

Since I some times get unwanted calls, I've decided to screw around with the people on the other side by doing a few variations of implying they have reached 'Ghostbusters'... needless to say some folks don't know how to handle that.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Hook Combo #2, Front-Back Step Combo and Beginner Combo #1 for a duration of 28 minutes and an estimated calorie burn of 431 kcal.

Found a copy of J-Stars Victory VS+ for the PlayStation 4, in many ways it's the game that inspired Jump Force, but it is more of a standard fighting game, that does have its own story and lot more characters from the history Shonen Jump than the game we've been featuring lately.

Also found volumes 5, 6 and 7 of Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig to complete that set. Funny thing, the copies of Volume 5 and 6 I now have are the special edition versions which means where they sit on my bookcase with the rest of the series looks a little weird

My off-stream Final Fantasy XIV adventures was focused more on dungeons and raids, managing to get a few done. One certainly confused me as it appears to be some sort of tie in to Monster Hunter right down to the Palico. It is pretty cool, even if I've barely played Monster Hunter Rise. Still tonight does mean I have a bunch of stuff to randomly do on stream.

And speaking of which for tonight's stream we'll be playing Final Fantasy XIV with a big focus on dungeons, raids and trials... as doing the Main Story Quest on stream is a bit bland... plus there's a bunch of stuff I haven't done, so it could be a night of comedy and errors!

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!
