Logitech Firmware Update Breaks Audio And Dragon Ball The Breaks Has No One Playing It

Good afternoon everyone,

Let's start with one of the annual pains in the ass that always rolls around whenever Logitech releases a firmware update for its G-Hub... it always... ALWAYS breaks how audio is captured in OBS and it's always a pain to fix, but this time I couldn't fix it with all my usual methods of unplugging and plugging the Elgato HD 60 S back in, it completely screwed with it. Not to mention, this latest Logitech firmware update also broke audio connection in Discord, Overwatch and the Xbox Desktop App on PC. As of this time, I still haven't gotten it fixed. In fact I spent a half hour on stream trying to fix it

Then there is Dragon Ball: The Breakers...which was something we've been playing over the past few weeks, but the long queue times was just getting ridiculous, most I ever saw was 6 at anyone time and I just said to hell with it an uninstalled it, live on stream. Turns out that the lack of cross-play is really hurting Dragon Ball: The Breakers because just a few weeks since launch there are barely 4000 players on the Steam version at any given time. That may seem like a lot, but it's not when you factor in that Dead by Daylight has 10 to 20 times that amount at any given time. Maybe we'll bring it back down the line if there is a major update, but I doubt it.

So we ended up bouncing around from game to game starting with Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl doing two arcade mode runs, and one of which as the newest character in the game, Rocco from 'Rocco's Modern Life'. He's very floating, in fact much like Stripe over in MultiVersus, Rocco has an attack that can result in him plummeting to his death. The other arcade run was as Oblina from 'Ahhh! Real Monsters', and I actually increased the difficult for that, and if it wasn't for Powder Toast Man, I probably would've had a perfect run through it. Also picked up one achievement in this game

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Achievements

  • Astonishing!: Clear Arcade with 5 brawlers

Next, we jumped over to Gears 5, and I totally forgot how to play it. We did a horde mode run and a quick Co-Op versus AI, noting major involved, just mindless fun.

Because I do have to put in serious time and grinding effort into Capcom Arcade 2nd Stardium, we spent some time playing that and getting myself on the scoreboard for a few different games. Was rather cool to see my scores for some stuff.

Lastly, we played some Smite, just doing a couple of challenges, lost both matches, but hey, people saw me play as Thor and as Ares, the later of which resulted in me getting an achievements.

SMITE Achievements

  • Two Chains? Nah, Five: Unlock the SMITE Award Twos Chains? Nah, Five.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on aggie_og who was playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II over at twitch.tv/aggie_og

Zach Wheeler got lit up for 5 runs in the Phillies 5-2 loss to the Astros, and like Aaron Nola I think Wheeler is basically cooked. Remember, both pitched in one more series than the Astros starters have and it is starting to show. But, the series is tied 1-1, and the Phillies have home field advantage... so maybe things will work out in their favor for the next three games at Citizens Bank Park.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout will featured Intermediate Combo #1, Triple Combo #2 and Defensive COmbo #2 for 31 minutes.

What's green and has wheels? Grass. I lied about the wheels.

Sometimes I tuck my knees into my chest and lean forward. That's just how I roll.

Song of the Day: Infinity by Jaymes Young

It's the start of a new week, so let's recap what we played over the past seven days which was Overwatch 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Until Dawn, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, Gears 5, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium and Smite!

Started work on the Until Dawn commissioned short story, getting the intro done, and I have a good idea for the ending, just the meat of the story will take a bit of figuring out.

For tonight's stream, we're playing Overwatch 2, and we will featured the new Junkenstein's Revenge PVE content that rolled out on Tuesday plus we'll get up to all our usual nonsense.

So we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

A Night Devoted To The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream featured every single game of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection... which of course meant taking advantage of the online play involved for the two Arcade Games... which oddly enough didn't result in achievements for either game. The quality of the connection to other players was certainly all over the place. But still had fun going through them from start to finish.

As far as all the console games go... we didn't come close to beating any of them, but we did see how everything evolved in the late 80s and early 90s when it came to TMNT. Visually perhaps the game that impressed me the most with how it looked was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back from the Sewers. The sprite quality in that little game for the Game Boy was incredible.

So after the stream, and using the method featuring in the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection (watching a pre-recorded version, jumping in on near the defeat of the final boss, saving the game, quitting, loading that save and finishing the fight), I went through every game to get every single achievement that method would work for. However the SNES and Sega Genesis versions of Tournament Fighters required different methods.

With the SNES version, that required going the Story Battle mode, and what I did was change the time limit to 30 seconds and rewind at key moments to avoid hits to ensure a time limit victory. With the Sega Genesis version, I enabled the 'hidden boss characters' feature to play as Kairi that involved setting the difficulty to level 8 (Hardest difficulty) setting the rounds to 1. No once I selected Kairi, I increased the power and speed to eight.. But since the Sega Genesis version didn't have a time limit adjustment, I used to rewind method to basically try and counter every attack the A.I. performed to stumble and bumble my way through everything.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection Achievements

  • Shredding the Shredder: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (N)
  • Pizza Party!: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (N)
  • I Have Become Turtle, Eater of Pizzas: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project (N)
  • N Tournament Champion: Defeated Shredder in TMNT: Tournament Fighters’ Story Mode (N)
  • Waiting for the other Foot to Drop: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan (GB)
  • Back Into Action: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back from the Sewers (GB)
  • Gnarly Greatness: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (GB)
  • Heroes in a Half Shell: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade)
  • Callback: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade)
  • Totally Tubular Time Travel: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SN)
  • S Tournament Champion: Defeated Karai in TMNT: Tournament Fighters’ Story Battle (SN)
  • Sewer’s Four: Finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist (GEN)
  • G Tournament Champion: Defeated the real Karai in TMNT: Tournament Fighters’ 1 Player Mode (GEN)
We also took a brief look at Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl because a) it has TMNT characters in it and b) I wanted to hear the quality of the voice overs they finally added. And they are of a high quality, it was real cool to hear Cam Clarke as Leonardo once again. That said, Nick All-Star Brawl's controls are reversed from MultiVersus, so trying to remember what buttons did was was a pain in the but on a quick arcade run.

The Clip list is rather long as I pulled a clip for each game. Sorry not sorry. Of course we didn't play the SNES version of Turtles in Time... now that I think about it. Oh well

For the raid we dropped in on Kalenal as they were playing Final Fantasy XIV Over on twitch.tv/kalenal!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Body Uppercut Como, Advanced Combo #2 and Body Straight Combo for 31 minutes.

Xfinity Tech arrived at exactly 2 PM yesterday and was here till after 4 PM working on stuff, as they monitored the network connection, they figured that maybe the node on the tap my service drop line was attached too was shorting out, so they switched my line to an open node on the same tap. They also replaced the service drop line that runs from the tap to my house. They also detected interferance coming from the line devoted to the two cable boxes I had. They said it shouldn't be an issue but he checked the connections for them just to be on a safe side.

Why was the math teacher late to work? She took the rhombus.

I'm really excited for the next autopsy club. It's open Mike night!

Song of the Day: Speechless by Dan + Shay

Finished writing the commission request for a story based around The Last of Us games, and I had a lot of fun writing Ellie. And keeping with the spooky season, I'm glad the next commission request is for a story based around Reisdent Evil 5 which featured Chris Redfield.

It's the start of a new week, so let's recap what we played last week which included: Overwatch, Murdered Soul Suspect, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, Star Trek Online, Fall Guys, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, The Quarry, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; The Cowabunga Collection, & Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl!

Well That Attempt In Cultist Simulator Was Epic

Good morning everyone

Last night's stream of Cultist Simulator was unexpected in the fact I did the entire stream without dying until the very end when I just had no clue of what to do. We finally found 'The Woods' which unlocked a lot of possibilities to see how deep the game can get, and also found another called 'The White Door'. I think I found a pretty solid balance of balancing various things, so I'm guessing a possible plan would be to quickly build up painting as a 'job' and building up the funds to do expeditions. Also I really need to stop sending my followers off on dangerous assignment.

Not totally sure when we'll play it again, but at least I feel like I learned enough to not have totally botched attempts as were the case with my first attempts last week.

Cultist Simulator Achievements

  • In the Midst of my Life, in a Dark Wood: The Wood grows around the walls of the Mansus. As any student of Histories knows, the Mansus has no walls.
  • Speechless at Sunset: Speech may not pass the White Door, but I may.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on Hawleigh who was playing Stray over at twitch.tv/Hawleigh!

As seen as the start of the stream, we finally added the 5th volume of the Life is Strange comic series to offically complete the set. I actually through I had it already. We also added a new Funko figure of Ed and Ein from Cowboy Bebop, giving me 25 Funko figures total.

Oddly enough I had more issues with my internet connection during the afternoon, and not during the stream. Did seem like a total service issues as I saw the blue light of the main cable box flashing.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Double COmbo #2, Body Hook Combo and Weaving Combo #1 for 31 minutes.

Work was kind of bleh yesterday, mostly due to switching from assignment to another with the second assignment just being really dull when it came to the few number of interview attempts.

Song of the Day: Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood

How much does the heaviest skeleton weigh? A skeleton.

What did the drummer name her twin daughters? Anna One, Anna Two.

Messed around a bit with MultiVersus last night following the stream to get a handle on it in anticipation for streaming it, and it's solid, it's probably a little easier to follow than Super Smash Battles, and has a higher quality to it than Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl. So I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl on stream. Also... early on, I'm a Harley Quinn main.

MultiVersus Achievements

  • Matchmaker: Play 1 matchmade game

People are shocked that with the start of training season that all the attention on Philadelphia sports is now on the Eagles and not the Phillies. Folks, that's basically how it goes year after year, even when the Phillies had that stretch of success from 2007 to 2011, the Eagles were always the priority.

Another successful night of Overwatch

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was a lot of fun, as we did a few things involving Junkenstein's Revenge plus the usual big focus on Quick Play matches. We were joined by PandaSweet and PadDes for a lot of team up action, which was awesome. PatDes is probably best known for being a big part of the Twitch Sings Community. The night ended on a stretch of 8 wins in the final 10 matches played, which is always nice. In terms of my individual performance, I have a few plays of the game, notably as D.va and Reinhardt in Quick Play matches and as Cassidy in Junkenstein's Revenge.

Twitch Clips

For last night's raid we dropped in on ErikaMonky over at twitch.tv/ErikaMonky as they were playing Phasmophobia!

It appears my Fantasy Baseball team had a solid week as we won 6 out of 10 categories, mostly thanks to pitching. This week my team batted .276 (69/250) with 32 runs scored, 6 Home Runs and 29 RBI with 4 Stolen Bases. In 47 innings pitch, my team won 5 games with 3 Saves, 53 Ks on a 2.30 ERA and a WHIP of 1.02.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Hook Combo #2, Uppercut Combo #2, Double Combo #1 and Front-Back Step Combo.Kind of funny how I woke up super early today for a longer workout as opposed to yesterday when I woke up so late I only felt like doing a light routine.

Played a little Smite off stream, picking up a couple of wins as Eset and Ra in a couple of quick Arena matches.

Also messed around with a bit of Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl, going through the Arcade mode and doing a perfect run to earn its related achievement. For it I used Garfield, and I figured out a few things. Tried to do some online matches but there was no one appearing in the casual Quick Play.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Achievements

  • Avatar State: Complete an Arcade run without losing a single stock

Dabbled some more with Persona 4: Arena, and I think I figured out a few things playing as Elizabeth, who has a particularly difficult super to do since it's a counter, meaning for it to work she has to be attacked. Also I looked into it, and the story mode for P4A does look like it has many of the same gimmicks as the BlazBlue games where it has a visual novel approach with multiple endings.

Persona 4: Arena Achievements

  • Trained in Seclusion: You spent 30 minutes in Training in one sitting. Now take it to the streets!
  • Perfect!: You had a perfect victory in Arcade Mode or online.
  • Die for Me!: You performed 30 Fatal Counters in Arcade Mode or online.

For tonight's stream, we're looking to finishing Lego Batman: The Video Game, we have Episode 3 of both side of the story to complete along with the two bonus stages. So this should be a lot of fun.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Nick's All-Star Brawl and Persona 4 Arena... Surprised Me

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream was a triple header which lead off with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and I have to say it's not bad. There is a great variety of characters and representation of Nick Toon characters, although the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Characters and Garfield stick out because those are franchises that were not original to Nickelodeon. The stages are kind of a mix bag, I really dislike the ones where there is an extremely zoomed out camera. I did go through the entire roster to get an idea of how everyone plays, some characters have some very unique gimmicks, I probably enjoy Michelangelo the most just based on first impressions.

Second game was Persona 4 Arena, and of course I'm no stranger to the cast of Persona 4 in a fighting game as they made up a large part of the BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle roster. Since I'm not familiar with the events of Persona 4, any references to things from it are of course lost on me. Still P4A has perhaps the best Fighting Game Tutorial I've ever seen as it really lays down the basics with no bullshit . We went through the arcade mode on the game's default settings and I have to say the difficulty was pretty solid for a casual gamer like myself. I look forward to seeing if its story mode has the visual novel aspect.

We closed out the stream by playing some Smite, focusing on some of the weekly goals, which involved playing Egyptian gods, so we did a few matches as Eset and Neith, and picked up a few wins. It was a really good.
  • Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Achievements
    • I Want an Award!: Compete in your first local battle
    • I Only Know How to Give 110%: Compete in 10 local battles

    • Calm Down.: You suffered a Persona Break in Arcade Mode or online. It happens to everybody...
    • Champion!: You completed Arcade Mode with one character.
    • They Call Me...: You've created a Title for your online matches.

For the raid we dropped in on Starvexia who was playing Minecraft over on twitch.tv/starvexia

Off-stream I did log into Gears 5, to nab the two achievements that were decommissioned. Hey Easy achievements are easy.

  • Gears 5 Achievements
    • Homegrown Hive: Completed a Featured community built Escape Hive
    • I Made It All By Myself: Created and published an Escape Hive

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Defensive Combo #2 and Defensive Combo #1. I kept it light today because of when I woke up (which was at 2:50 PM lol)

A new week has started, but let's look back at all the games we featured last week, which were Overwatch, Lego Batman: The Video Game, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Star Trek Online, Persona 5 Royal, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, Persona 4: Arena and Smite!

The End For Lee Means The Future For Clementine

 Good morning everybody,

Last night's stream saw us wrap up The Walking Dead Season 1 with episode 5 and episode 6 (aka 400 Days, which was a bonus episode used to hype up Season 2)

With Episode 5, it's all about finding Clementine, nothing else matters to Lee at that point because he was bitten at the end of episode 4. Big decisions made was Lee having his arm sawed off to slow the the infection, keeping things calm with Kenny and having Clementine kill Lee so that her last memory of him was not being a walker. It's easily one of the saddest moments in gaming history, and it really captures the fucked up world The Walking Dead takes place in. But the good news is, Clem was taught well by Lee, and she will go on to use those lessons to survive.

Episode 6... aka 400 days, tells 5 mini-stories featuring characters that could show up during Season 2... and I feel like I screwed up on who would could see.... I never could figure out the right way to get all 5 people in previous play through.... and the Definitive Series version does not allow for a replay for some strange reason.

When we'll start season 2 is something you may be wondering, and I'm thinking Monday Night with episode 1 & 2, 3 & 4 on Tuesday, and episode 5 to start Wednesday since Iceman and I are gonna do some stuff with Gears of War 3 that night as well.

We also debuted Final Fantasy XIV during this stream, mostly did some Main Story Quest things because that's all I had available, so it was mostly just running around in one area. Not all that thrilling. Maybe I should save side quests for on-stream? Anyway something I did discover off stream was the very clear fact that Kalenal (twitch.tv/kalenal) knew I would find getting around in Gridania a good starting point because the other two starting cities are practically mazes of trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B!

Following the stream we sent the fun over to Oldish22 who was also playing Final Fantasy XIV,  you can check him out over at twitch.tv/oldish22!

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series Achievements

  1. What Remains: Completed Season 1 Episode 5
  2. Loose Ends: Completed Season 1 Episode 6

It's  been a few years since I had Netflix (last time I had it was around the time the OA premiered), but the demands of people to remove Dave Chappelle's latest stand up special is just idiotic on multiple fronts. And let me be clear, I am not a fan of his, I personally do not find Chappelle to be unfunny, but I do respect that he does what a stand up comedian is supposed to do and that is coalesce the vapors of human experience into a viable and meaningful comprehension. In short: he's a bullshit artist

With the end of the Daniel Craig era of James Bond.... we can hopefully get good songs for the movies themes, as we haven't heard a good theme tune for a Bond film since Die Another Day!

Grabbed the Xbox digital version of Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl which should make for interesting content. Also nabbed the digital version of Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 to serve as a back up for the physical release I grabbed last year.

You know, I think I actually got in nearly all my work hours for the third week in a row... things are looking up!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout lasted 28 minutes with the following exercises: Uppercut Combo #2, Body Hook Combo and Body Uppercut Combo! The estimated calorie burn was 429 kcal. There was one missed punch... a jab of all things. We also did an extra 17 minutes with an added estimated calorie burn of 227 kcal. The extra exercises were Straight Combo #2, Hook Combo #1, Hook Combo #2 and Uppercut Combo #1. You know what's funny, is that back on October 4th the estimated calorie burn for a session which featured only 3 difficult challenge combos was 651 kcal, which is about the same as the combined total for today of 657 kcal.

For tonight's stream... we're gonna try to play the original Metroid, using the Nintendo Switch's NES collection of games from Nintendo's history. Should be interesting... and I bet it has cheat codes!

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!
