Stray Gods The Role-Playing Musical And Other Notes

Today got off to a bad start as packages were stolen from my doorstep this morning, and I know this to be true because came at the same time 11:40 AM (from the United States Postal Service) and 11:46 AM (from Amazon) with package ID tracking. I was in the shower at that point, when I got out and saw the delivery confirmation, I went to get m y packages and nothing was there! Amazon provides photos as proof, and since they were the second delivery is showed the earlier delivery items weren't there. So to the piece of shit who stole 4 packages this morning, fuck you!

This is worrisome for me as I'm expecting a deliveries this week. Maybe I should get a cheap laptop to work on the commission stories upstairs to prevent this from happening again.

Anyway, tonight's stream of Stray Gods; The Roleplaying Musical was a lot of fun, loved the artwork and the music. Not much in terms of gameplay beyond making choices and navigating the dialog trees, but its a very well written game that is geared towards multiple playthroughs. I figure we can go to this game whenever we need something for a Saturday in order to try and get the achievements related to making different choices.

Not sure what game we'll feature on Monday, but I'll figure something out

Tomorrow's stream will featuring Overwatch

For tonight's raid we dropped in on Kalenal to watch them playing Final Fantasy XIV

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical

  • End Of The Road: Inherited the legacy of the Last Muse.
  • My Time To Shine: You can handle this on your own.
  • God Of The Sun: Remained at Apollo’s side.
  • The Deep End: Finished Act One.
  • All The Help You Need: Broke the cycle of rebirth and convinced Aphrodite to live.
  • Like Heroes Before You: Channelled your inner Perseus and defeated the Gorgon.
  • Meant To Be: Love blossomed in the unlikeliest of places.
  • Across The Styx: Finished Act Two.
  • This Hell Is Mine: You decided to take the throne for yourself.
  • The Ultimate Sacrifice: You just couldn’t let her go.
  • Talk To The Hand: They had it coming.
  • The Muse's Encore: Finished Act Three.
  • Against All Odds: You survived against all odds.
  • Brave On Time: Returned Freddie’s feelings.
  • Fiery: When push comes to shove, you shove back.

Because of the fiasco with the missing deliveries I didn't get all the writing I wanted done today, but I'm in the middle of writing an NFL related story commission which now probably won't be done until Monday.

Really that's all the notes I have for tonight.

Today's Notes 5/10/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was a lot of fun since this week Mayhem matches kicked into the Arcade mode at 8 PM Eastern Time. Certainly had a fair share of wins and losses. Big thanks to PandaSweet for joining in on the fun. Also picked up three plays of the game last night, two with Dva and one with Reinhardt. In addition to Mayhem, also messed around with a few other arcade modes included 3 vs 3 elimination and capture the flag... only because free loot boxes were attached to each one.

Twitch Clip: Boom-Shakalaka!

Twitch Clip: But I Have Pineapple!

After the stream I resisted the urge to do another late night going through stuff, but at this point I think all I got left are just boxes to break down. There might be another box or two filled with music CDs, but they are sorta buried where I cannot reach them at this exact moment.

Finally my copy of The Fifth Element for the PlayStation One arrived. And boy did the United States Postal Service send it through the ringer because this is the journey it went on. It went from the origin point of Drexel Hill, PA to Glenolden, PA to Cuncinnati, OH, to Warrendale, PA, to Philadelphia, PA, to Miami, FL to Opa Locka, FL to Bellmawr, NJ and finally right here to Camden, NJ. Make note of the origin point and final destination... and then ask yourself... if it Philadelphia was the 5th stop... how the fuck did it end up in Miami!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was streamed as it is every Monday as of late and we set a new overall personal best for Estimated Calorie Burn with 1158.84. The daily session was about 43 minutes at a high pace and then I did addition 27 minutes on top of that. Needless to say I was completely cooked after that  because in the bonus stuff I put I was completely sluggish.

Twitch Clip: Don't Quit!

Twitch Clip: Put Power Into The Last Punch!

I was going through my game library to see what I could possibly finish in one night and noticed that we haven't played Day of the Tentacle since 2019, so we'll play that tonight. There are some Steam Achievements I could try and knock out during tonight's play through so that would be a bit productive in that regards!

And on that note, we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Today's Notes 5/6/21

Good morning everybody,

How does one define irony....on Tuesday of last week and of this week I lost power, costing me a few hours of work at my day job.... and I know it caused some eyeballs to roll. Now yesterday afternoon, my job lost power and had a fiber card blown out which meant when power was restored there company server's couldn't be accessed for anyone to work remotely or in person. All I know is that considering back back in February my previous computer freaked out following a power flicker, and I had enough disruptions on one day not to long ago to invest in a uninterrupted power supply unit, I don't want to ever hear about me being over protective of my gear being an issue.

Last night's stream of Tom Clancy's The Division was pretty damn productive, as a lot of collectables was found and major areas of the map was cleared out. Big thanks to Iceman7667 for joining in as it made things a lot easier, particularly in areas where I would be a sitting duck. We did have our fair share of interesting moments, such as running into the Bullet King which shredded us pretty damn quick, along with finding NPCs floating in the air. Also unlocked several achievements which I'll list below.

  1. Skill Kill: Finish off 50 enemies using Skills.
  2. Natural Talent: Be attributed with a kill while having a Talent active.
  3. Raid the Arsenal: Kill 1 enemy with each of the 6 Gun classes.

Twitch Clip: Achievement: Raid the Arsenal

Twitch Clip: Why are they level 17? It's the Bullet King!

Twitch Clip: They are floating!

Twitch Clip: More Like Panic Flailing

Now, I live east of Philadelphia, PA.... right across the Delaware River, how the hell does the United States Postal Service send a package that was sitting in their Distribution Center to fucking Florida? And what I'm waiting on is a copy of the Fifth Element for the original PlayStation, which actually should've been in my hands a week ago.

Made a slight change to my Fitness Boxing 2 session this morning to make it a little harder, so instead of a pattern of the sets being short-long-long-short, it was long-long-long. So still 30 minutes, but because it was three long sets it meant I probably got a more intense workout... at least in theory. Estimated calorie burn difference was about the same as yesterday.

Kalenal (twitch.tv/kalenal)  pointed out I really need to add items for folks to redeem using Twitch Channel Points, and so I added two things, one was to have me perform a song, and the other is for me to play a game of a viewer's choice on an upcoming stream. Needless to say the later one is a big ticket item and will require a lot of points.

For tonight's stream we will lead off with Star Trek Online and I'm not sure as of yet what we'll be pairing with it for the second half of the stream. At the moment the leading candidates are Hades & ARMS, but I could just go and select something else at random.

And on that nore we'lls ee you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 4/29/21

 Good morning everybody,

You know how people were complaining about it being a chilly March and April? Well considering the heat spike for today, I rather it be chilly than hot and humid!

Anyway, last night's stream of The Division was pretty solid, as we found a lot of collectables covered and advanced the plot, as indicated with the achievement unlocks of 'The Engineer' which is to rescue Paul Rhodes and 'Can't Stand The Heat' which is to clear out the villain group know as The Cleaner's main base. Also went into the Dark Zone to earn the 'Worth The Wait' achievement. Big thanks to Iceman for his help in getting all of this done!

The United States Postal Service is being really fucking weird as far as the Philadelphia Processing and Distribution Center is concerned because any time my mail ends up there it always ends up in some weird as fuck holding pattern. My research has shown this has been going on there since the fall of 2019 (based on reddit postings and other online complaints a simple google search shows), it's now the end of April and they clearly have not sorted things out there. They want to blame COVID-19, but this goes back over a year for the same facility!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was little bit wonky, still solid, but because I was looking into what the hell is going on with the USPS. Still today's session was good enough that this has been my best overall much since August of last year, and it will become my best month period working out tomorrow because I'll past my all-time estimated calories burned by just doing a 20 minuet workout (I of course will do a 30 minute workout tomorrow lol)

Tonight's stream will of course start with Star Trek Online for the first couple of hours, then we'll switch to something else on the back end. Not totally sure what will be on tap for the second half of the stream, but I'll think of something!

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 11/28/20

Good afternoon everyone,

If you're a regular to this blog page, you'd have noticed I changed it's appearance yet again, trying to find a nice overall look is often problematic for this thing. I really wanted to use some of the artwork I've had made by Daemonswolf, but blogger is rather limited and clunky at times to get things set up right.

Anyway, this morning Fitness Boxing session was a little odd, as for the first time in a while footwork was incorporated, and man that threw off my timing in a bad way. Also for a Strength and Cardio session, it surprised me that the sets ended up happening in the orders of 8 minutes, 11 minutes and 15 minutes. Never seen that happened, normally the straight Cardio session are sets with that increase in duration.  And you may have noticed the trainer's attire is the same as yesterdays... yup totally forgot to change that... oh well.

Last night's stream over on twitch.tv/fredcasden ended up being a variety stream featuring WCW Nitro, WWF In Your House, ESPN Baseball 2K4 and Animal Crossing New Horizons. Certainly a hodgepodge lineup to say the least when you think about it. Goes to show when I don't have a plan for a stream things can get really damn random!

WCW Nitro still has some of the worse controls in any video game I have ever played, as getting any move to happen with Mortal Kombat style button combination was maddening... and combine that with the frequent (and I do mean frequent run-ins) forced me to go into the options menu to adjust a few things. We managed to get through the 10 match tournament mode, and for all intents and purposes we are counting it as a game finished on stream to count it for this years gaming tour.

On the other hand we won't count WWF In Your House for the gaming tour because of what I would classify as finishing the game is beating the WWF Championship mode (which is a series of 2 on 1, 3 on 1 and 10 on 1 matches). The lack of back ground audio, crowd noise or music really takes away from the game, as I remember WrestleMania The Arcade Game having some sort of back ground noise to add to the chaotic brawling. Much like WCW Nitro, the Mortal Kombat style button combinations leaves a lot to be desired.

ESPN Baseball 2K4 was a firm reminder that Visual Concepts made some damn good baseball games back in the day/ Granted I had to remember how to switch bating to 'timing only' because the true aim system was damn near impossible. Also the Barry Bonds stand in being called Joe Young sure was a Mighty bit on the nose. Much like with Michael Jordan in the late 90s with a number of NBA games, I wonder why Bonds wasn't in a bunch of MLB games in the early 2000s.

Animal Crossing New Horizons continues to be the ultimate chill game that I can easily go to in order to lengthen stream, or just for a bit daily light gaming. I am starting to see more interactions between the residents on my island, with Blanche actually asking Agnes to use her catchphrase as her own. Cute, fun stuff.

Good news in terms of things arriving in the mail, Daemonswolf of Darkwolf Creative (darkwolfcreative.com / twitch.tv/daemonsw0lf) sent me an old-school FAT PlayStation 2, it was shipped out way back on November 10th and it finally arrived today, after she and I both started hasseling the United States Postal Service. Looking forward to testing it out!

Also in the mail today was an autographed picture of Jack from the Mass Effect franchised, signed by Jack's voice actor Courtenay Taylor, and I made sure to get a certificate of authenticity, even though I requested it be personalized to me (it's always nice to know its the genuine article). Love the fact she put down the line 'I Will Destroy You' on it as well, which was a nice touch.

With today being Saturday, Twitch Sings is on the agenda, and at this point we only have a few more streams where we can make use of this awesome game. Sadly starting December 1st, a lot of songs are going to be removed from it, so hopefully a lot of my favorites will be around till the very end.! Tonight's stream will probably start about 7 PM EST.

And that will wrap everything up folks! We'll see ya later!

Today's Notes 11/27/20

Good afternoon everybody,

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, and I know for a lot of folks, things were tough not being able to see family as per normal circumstances, but 2020 has not been a normal year to say the least. Still with things like Zoom, Skype and other video communication links, people can stay in touch a lot easier. Hell the IRS has been working on ways to expand how it can actually serve the public but incorporating that type of programming and you all know this year have more than proven its worth.

We got today off on a good start, with the fact I finally got an update on a package DaemonsWolf (twitch.tv/daemonsw0lf) mailed off to me more than two weeks ago. The United States Postal Service has been incredibly slow this November, thanks in no small part to the Donald Trump sabotaging it in order to tamper with the election that he LOST! (Yup, here's a reminder that TRUMP IS A LOSER). Anyway, if it arrives today, we might just have another variety stream featuring old school games... well old school as in late 1990s early 2000s.

Today's Fitness Boxing session felt real good, hell, you know you have a good workout when you feel that weird feeling jazzed up when you finish. Things just flowed really good, even though I may have missed more combos than I would've liked, and my timing could've been better, but felt really good afterward. It's always hard to describe, and since I'm doing this daily posts, finding different ways to talk about my workouts is not easy.

Last night's Star Trek Online stream was a long one, as we started at 6:30 PM EST and went to about 12:30 AM EST, doing a lot of missions in the Klingon Empire to get my Cardassian caught up on story events. We ended up maxing out my Alliance Battlecruiser and switched over to the Titan Science Destroyer to break that it. It's one of the few 'cross-type' ships as it can switch between being focused on being a typical escort or a science vessel. Being a hybrid for lack of a better term, it does lack some of the hull strength a typical science vessel has over an escort, but it certain pack a punch.

With Comcast looking to screw over it's customers in 2021 (and I am one of those customers, have been since 2006), obviously falling asleep watching YouTube or Twitch streams is not going to be totally logical to do. Believe me, I often leave a lurk on as many Twitch channels as I can to give, and that bandwidth does add up quite a lot. So my intention is to start listening to audible books again, and obviously that means using Audible for the most part. Now the funny thing about Audible is it's desktop app on PC doesn't always work, in fact even if you download the audio book to your PC, it will still stop playing after 6 minutes. This isn't the case with the mobile phone version of the app though. It's really a weird thing, as it doesn't effect everything that I have in my library at the moment.

Anyway, what I started listening to was the audio book for Red Dward, based on the show of the same name and is narrated by Chris Barrie who played Arnold Judas Rimmer on the show, who does an incredible job of bringing to life not just his own character but the characters of Lister, The Cat and Kryten. Certainly a great listen.

That will wrap things up for now, see ya later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden for my usual nonsense!

Today's Notes 11/15/20

 Good afternoon everyone...

You know that feeling when you wake up incredibly early the previous day and then the next day you don't get up until like after 12:30 PM? Yeah that happened to me lol.

Of course I made sure to get todays Fitness Boxing session done, but I forgot to get the normal screen shots that showed not only the overall score but what sets were done, so today's results are just the generic one from the daily results screen. Still was a solid workout I think.

Last night Twitch Sings session was a lot of fun, we only went four hours and I thought about switching over to something else. but figured it was a good time to call it at 11 PM. This actually helps for next week as I only have a handful of songs left on my favorites list to try and do on expert difficulty, and I can split those between normal sing backs.I also thought about opening up a part but for whatever reason Twitch Sings has become incredibly glitchy, its as iff it's shutting down at the end of the year

I did load up Mass Effect to tackle the Pinnacle Station DLC, which I remember on the PC version to be a pain in the ass to deal with.... so imagine my surprise when I see that the console version is actually easier to deal with! Find me in the alps I was shocked I managed to get through the timed trails... then again, I realized there was a sprint button if you hold A on the Xbox controller, which reveals the fact that I basically go in normally guns a blazing and slug it out... which isn't too bad because on the PC version there are the hot-keys that allow for total spamming of powers and abilities.

My annoyance with the United States Postal Service grows as when I go to check on a delivery that is already late, they removed the 'time estimated for delivery' and leaves a message of 'Don't worry it'll get to you eventually'. Once again this falls on the shoulders of one Donald J. Trump and his attempts to sabotage the 2020 elections in his favor.

Tonight we'll be playing Overwatch, and we'll see what fun we'll have, in terms of Arcade Modes or just Quick Plays. I have been using McCree alot in Mayhem matches since his flash bang can disrupt Winston, Wrecking Ball and to a lesser extent Doomfist. Anyway that stream will will start at about 7 PM EST over on twitch.tv/fredcasden.

Today's Notes 11/14/20

Good Morning Everybody...

Holy shit it is morning as I'm actually writing this, well when you are expecting something through the United States Postal Service to arrive, one gets very eager and wakes up early... then they check the tracking and see that the USPS says it's going to arrive later than they expected. You know up until Donald J. Trump's fucking around with the Postal Service to try and steal the 2020 election, I've never seen anything tracked through the USPS being listed as 'arriving late'.

Speaking of that orange face clown, does one realize how fucking warped he has made people who call themselves Republicans? Take Tommy Tuberville for example, who went on the record and said in World War II, America was fighting against socialism which is about as wrong as wrong can get. America was fighting against FASCISM! But I guess when you aligned yourself with Trump, being anti-fascist is a bad thing to these fucking idiots. And don't get me started on that buffoon Marjorie Taylor Greene who went on Twitter to cry about CrossFit gyms being closed when in fact they are OPEN.

Anyway, last night we did another Mass Effect stream, and as we get closer to the end of Twitch Sings, getting into the groove of dedicating more than two nights a week to a big game is really coming together. Of course during last night's stream we managed to knock out even more of the side-quests including the Bringing Down The Sky DLC, which depending on your background / career selections for Shepard when creating them, adds a bit to their story and history with the Batarians. Also since I haven't gone to Feros and Noveria yet, I already have acquired the first set of Spectre weapons (which unlocks when unlocking the 'Rich' achievement) which means things are gonna get quite easier when dealing with enemies that rush towards me.

Today's Fitness Boxing Session was a strength and cardio session at the max recommended time length of 35 minuets. Felt good finishing it, and damn I've been doing this for 131 consecutive days. You know originally the plan was to do Just Dance daily, but the lack of a good sight line to my main monitor prevented that. Probably a complete break down and reorganizing of my computer and consoles is in order to make that possible.

Tonight's stream over on twitch.tv/fredcasden will start with Twitch Sings, and we may do some other things too depending on how my mood strikes me.

Deep Space Nine: Civil Defense
