God Eater: Resurrection and other notes

Tonight we did a bunch of free missions in God Eater and I really like using the Scythe as a slashing weapon, it's slow but it has a big arc, also experimented with using different crushing and piercing weapons, which do seem have perks depending on enemy types. I'm real curious about the story and the implied conspiracy theory.

God Eater Resurrection will return next Friday night

Tomorrow's Stream: Grandia

'Tonight's Raid: misscammi316
Playing: Fortnite

Work was solid despite some technical issues

Nearly finished the NFL story, going to finish it before bed.

I know I have to record two episodes for the Daria Reactions this week I'll probably record them back to back as we start season three

God Eater: Resurrection Trophies

  • Destroyer: Break 100 bonds.
  • Jackpot: Discover a rare Abandoned God Arc.

Borderlands 2 and other notes

We got a fair amount done in Borderlands 2 this evening, with several side quests and two big story mission that reunites the Vault Hunters from the original game, which basically puts us on the homestretch of finishing the game.

I need to figure out the level start points for Borderlands 2 DLC as I would like to do them before starting on the final leg of the game which is focused on taking down Handsome Jack. I know at least two require to be at level 30, but there should be others

Borderlands 2 will be back tomorrow night

For the raid we dropped in on sweetlindir who was playing Fortnite

Work was super productive this evening, we closed out an assignment, but then switched to one that broke my brain because of who we were looking to speak to went from listed only to anyone.

Finished one Fairy Tail story for a SubscribeStar request and now working on another story based on the anime / mangafor a Commission. It's about 15%  done

Borderlands 2 Achievements

  • Farewell, Old Girl: Completed the mission "Wildlife Preservation"
  • Well That Was Easy: Completed the mission "Shoot This Guy in the Face"
  • Got The Band Back Together: Completed the mission "The Once and Future Slab"

Day of the Tentacle, Smite and other Notes

 Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream opened with Day of the Tentacle and it was pretty much a sprint to the finish, even as I was taking my time and making sure I got nearly every achievement in the game, missing two that are not very obvious. I have a lot of positive things to say about the console port of this game, and it makes me wonder why Lucas Arts and Disney has not done remasters of other games from the Point and Click era of the 90s. Obviously I'll be doing a review of this game for my YouTube channel. Question of what will replace it in the weekly line up is up in the air at the moment.

Now Day of the Tentacle didn't fill the entire stream, as we loaded things up with Smite for the first time in a while, winning a couple of matches and losing a couple, playing as Athena, Baset, Discordia and Cupid. We will not talk about the Assault match which was a 3 versus 5 waste of time and downer to end the stream on.

Wednesday's stream over on twitch.tv/fredcasden will start around 9:30 PM Eastern, but Journey to the Savage Planet will be on hold as Iceman needs to work late, so we'll either start Starfield or RetroMania

Day of the Tentacle Remastered Achievements

  • Voiding the Warranty: Try to put something metal in the microwave
  • Master Plumber: Flush 50 objects through time
  • Energy Conscious: Turn off the television
  • Rap Sheet: Forger: Try to sign the contract yourself with the quill pen
  • Behind Every Great Man Is a Quality Roadie: Red makes a super battery with only a little help from Hoagie
  • Rap Sheet: Adventure Gamer: Pick up 45 things that don't belong to you
  • Flush: Acquire a diamond
  • That Should Have Worked: Hoagie uses battery with Chron-O-John instead of plug
  • Number One: Power Hoagie's Chron-o-John
  • Music Appreciation Award: Reach yesterday without turning the stereo off
  • Yesterday's News: Defeat Purple Tentacle yesterday
  • Mental Patience: Play the whole game without skipping a cutscene
  • ...Take on the Words!: Sit through the end credits

SMITE Achievements

  • Objective Stealer: Deliver the killing blow on a map objective where enemies did more damage in a qualifying match.

For the raid we went to www.twitch.tv/EcoNstinct where Fortnite was being featured

Watched Justice League X RWBY Part 2 today, and it was a fun continuation of the first film, but it certainly made quite a few references to things in the later seasons of RWBY I didn't know about, which means I'll have to watch and catch up. There was one minor bit of disappointment in that the second film didn't fully commit to Ruby, Weiss, Yang and Blake adapting things to the DC Universe as things ended up favoring them using their standard abilities in the films climax.

Knocked out an commission story based on the Arrowverse today, and got an instant request for a follow up, which is awesome.

I certainly got something in mind for Halloween, just need to get the pieces together for it.

And on that note, good night!

Cyberpunk 2077 and other notes

Hi everyone,

Work was another abbreviated but productive sessions, getting a few interviews done and putting a huge dent into the effort to close out an assignment. I did get five rejection letters via email from various places I interviewed at... so I'm pretty damn depressed about that.

Tonight's stream of Cyberpunk 2077 was focused on finishing all the side quests of the area called Watson, which took the entire stream mostly because of all the traveling that was involved to get from one place to another. I did find it funny that the last side quest I needed to do was not within the area. and the only reason I discovered that was because I looked it up to get an idea of what I needed to do.

Now having spent so much time doing side quests, in one area of the map, I can safely say I'm probably not going to do that with all the other areas on stream, and instead focus on the main story. Of course I do want to make sure I hit max level and get the achievements associated with doing a wide variety of in-game activities.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements

  • Must Be Rats: Perform the Distract Enemies quickhack 30 times without drawing attention to yourself.
  • It's Elementary: Complete all gigs and NCPD Scanner Hustles in Watson.

Our next stream is scheduled for Wednesday night at 9:30 PM Eastern over at twitch.tv/fredcasden and what's on the agenda is Resident Evil 6 with Iceman to continue Ada's campaign, which of course would mean a lot of hilarity. If Iceman isn't available,

For the raid we went over to twitch.tv/misscammi316 where Fortnite was being played

Finished the Resident Evil short story commission and I'm rather pleased with how I was able to rework some elements and details of events from the first game into something new. Did get another commission request for another WWE related story... ugh... can't complain, as these recent commissions are how I'm going to get groceries this week.

So a rather heart breaking piece on the horrible effects of Ron DeSantis' Fascist policies in the state of Florida as it relates to a school called New College... putting a focus on 'sports' at the expense of education. Dude's a fucking Nazi.

On that note, I'm going to bed, good night!

Another big night of Overwatch

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch a lot of fun, granted because most of the time we won... in fact we ended on a stretch of winning 8 out of the last 10 matches played. Big thank you to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun for nearly the entire night! Picked up three Plays of the Game, two as D.va and one as Torbjourn. Other characters used were Reinhardt, Mei & Junkrat.

There was one really weird match where some how none of my attacks hit anyone on the opposing team even with me being right up on them.

Of course we're less than a month away from the start of Overwatch 2 for everyone, but I kind of wonder what achievements are being carried over from the first game to the other. And when will cross progression kick in to see how that fully tracks.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on PrincessPashley who was doing a Music stream, but I think they were doing Fortnite earlierin the evening. They stream over on twitch.tv/princesspashley

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Defensive Combo #2, Front-Back Step Combo and Triple Combo #2 for 28 minutes.

Look I enjoy... some... of what Justin Wong does over on his YouTube channel, but as much as the guy is a legend in the Fighting Game Community, the fact every single thumbnail for each of his videos is just pure click bait that never delivers on the expectations.

Happy Birthday to DaWorstGamerEver25 who is celebrating by playing Fortnite over on twitch.tv/daworstgamerever25!

I would like to point out that whoever writes the wiki profiles for the Attack on Titan fandom really did a bad job of giving an idea of what the personalities of those characters are like. Combine that with having two ideas on how to write the story and I ended up with one of the weakest efforts I've done since getting back into writing on a semi-regular basis.

Also picked up another commission request, this time based around the Spider-Man PS4 game and featuring Yuriko Watanabe... problem is, I have not yet played that game, It's on the list however... but for the short story, I'll have to piece things together based on what I can learn.

To grind out the 100 hours play time achievement in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, I'm going to basically use the fact that Savage Bees is 'endless', enable invincibility, and use the broken controller method I did with Vulgus in the original Capcom Arcade Stadium. Is it a cheap exploit... oh you bet it is. Speaking of Exploits, the save state feature might be used heavily with Son Son to grind out the 100,000,000 CAPSO.

Albert Pujols hit his 695th home run yesterday... just how much pressure will there be on the Cardnials to give him every possible at-bat for him to get to 700?

Back to the Land of Lego With Indiana Jones

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures certainly had a number of issues thanks to Xfinity, with anyway from a 25% to 75% packet loss from 6:46 PM to 7:36 PM. I continue to get no feedback from Xfinity during this. I also had the internet go down a bit before 4 PM as well.

Anyway, the game play of Lego Indiana Jones saw the entire "Raiders of The Lost Ark" portion taken cared of, and picking up all the Story related achievements, and I totally forgot the solution to several pizzle so some things were taking me longer than others to accomplish. In fact I actually had to look up how to deal with the 'Boxer' boss because I didn't realize the plan could demolish trucks addition enemies come in with.

On the opposite side, I did enter every available unlock code into the game, which took quite a bit of time, but hell it ate up stream time. But it did mean I had more options available when going back to do a bit of Free Play stuff.

Next time we'll play Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures will be on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

LEGO Indiana Jones: Original Adventures Achievements

  • You cheat very big!: Unlock all extras.
  • Your mail is on your desk.: Post all parcels.
  • Hey! You call him Dr. Jones!: Create and name a custom build character.

  • Nice try, Lao Che!: Destroy Lao Che with Indy.

Knocked out just about every possible side quest in Limsa Lominsa that I skipped over during my run through Final Fantasy XIV's Main Story, and managed to get a couple of minions. Annoyingly, the level gate of when some quests can be turned in did mean some things were not turned in as a Dragoon, but instead as a Red Mage.

A 98% Stable Night of Final Fantasy XIV

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV was solid across all fronts, in fact we did another complete run of Wondrous Tails... and unfortunately I didn't get any completed lines to get bonus rewards. I had 3 lines set up with 3 quests to go and then totally bad 'stickers' on the remainder. Would've been nice to mark that moment but oh well. Did have a three trials that I could run Unsync which meant they were done in other 4 minutes.

We were joined by Panda and their new character, so I was in the position of acting as back up while helping them level up abit. We rolled a few dailies in that regard to give them a boost! As always it is great to have Pnada along for the fun!

Over with the my character's development as a Dragoon, I got it up to level 46, and the job quests are tying in directly with what Estinien was up to heading into Heavansward, in his foresight with regard to the Dragons causing some trouble.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on Cammi_316 as they were playing Fortnite over at twitch.tv/cammi_316

Speaking of Fortnite, I'm not to keen on the choice of Bulma from Dragon Ball Super being the version of that character in the game, when Bulma had much better looks during the original Dragon Ball and early Dragon Ball Z, particularly during the Namek arc.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Weaving Combo #2, Straight Combo #1 and Triple Combo #1 for 28 minutes.

What do you call a person with no body and no nose? Nobody knows.

What's green and sings? Elvis Parsley.

Song of the Day: Don’t Dream It’s Over by Crowded House!

Put in some grinding in Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer, and we passed 3,000 Kills, it is tough to get those kills, but if I just start sessions solo I could probably rack up about 50 to 75 before I get overwhelmed, fewer if folks join the session randomly.

Funny enough Xfinity sent me the letter they sent to the FCC in regards to the issues I've been having, and outside of getting some details wrong and neglecting to mention other details (which I then forwarded to the FCC, took 20 minutes to summarize it all), I can safely say that Xfinity is basically looking to just ignore me and close the case.

That said we had two instances of internet stability issues yesterday at 907 PM EST and 11 PM EST, the first causing a 2 minute gap during the stream. When I woke up this morning, I ended up having to do a signal refresh via the Xfinity app, then at  1046 AM the internet went down completely for a time, both  Xfinity Apps indicate Gateway was offline and an issue was detected causing devices to be unresponsive. Logged into the Gateway when the internet came back up, and saw the event logs matched when the service was disrupted.

Work was very bland yesterday, and I swear if I was ever in a position to actual want to do business with some of the companies we're trying to get feedback from I would just refuse to do so just based on their front office staff.

For tonight's stream, we'll be hooking up the PS4 to play Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[Cl-R], and we'll take the same approach we did with Persona 4 Arena, in doing the story mode and arcade runs while unlocking as many achievements as possible. In fact, the achievement list looks similar to Persona 4 Arena

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Back to Fallout 76

Good morning everyone,

Well last night's stream of Fallout 76 was interesting as I progressed a big part of the Foundation side of the build towards the big Vault break in to kind of have it even with where the Crater side is. I enjoy some of the back and forth in finding what I needed to access various areas, as it really seems like things were well thought out.

Also, since I'm tackling the Brotherhood of Steel stuff as well, I knocked out the back end of the dealing with the Crater and getting Foundation into a 'trade agreement' of sorts. Since this is supposed to be done long after the prior mentioned quest line, it just makes things more jumbled. On the plus side, I am curious who sold the weapons to Foundation.. and if one of the Knights turned traitor. Looking forward to seeing how that shakes out.

Big shout out to Iceman for not only the resub, but also for being apart of the action to help with the Scoreboard challenges. Always glad to have co-op action on a game like this. We also discovered the Monster Mash event is really... REALLY... awful and a waste of time.

On a side note regarding the screenshot... you'll see why I picked that one for this blog by clicking on it and seeing that on top of the entrance it says 'Bite my rusty metal ass', which is a reference to Bender from Futurama who would say 'Bite my shiny metal ass.'

Also I became aware that there was no game audio during the stream after the fact... I do not know why other than the fact there was a Windows Update that probably screwed up a whole bunch of stuff, as I had to reassign by mic and headphones in OBS. I hope to have this addressed by tonight's stream.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on Cammi_316 while they were playing Fortnite over at twitch.tv/cammi_316!

Yesterday work just fucking dragged man... hopefully today will feel quicker, but I see the assignment I'm on means I'm going to get a big fat goose egg for the day. Damn it...

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Hip Shape Focus Combo, Intermediate Combo #2 and Straight Combo #2 for 28 minutes.

In regards to last night's stream issues that were traced back to Xfinity, there were 5 in total. Was able to successful document once instance where the Upstream Power Level was well over 51.

The Phillies are surging as of late, but they can't keep up this momentum for long as they have a series with the Mets this weekend.

Jumped into Mass Effect 3's multiplayer and managed to knock out the Overload related achievement, and also got my Engineer character up to Level 20 as well. The next one to shoot for is to get a weapon to Rank 10, but that is pretty grindy because of how the Recruit packs are randomized.

Mass Effect 3 Achievements

  • Overload Specialist: Overload the shields of 100 enemies.

What do you call Samsung's security team? The Guardians of the Galaxy!

Song of the Day: Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton

I sold my vacuum yesterday. It was just collecting dust.

Overwatch is getting rid of the Loot box system, and I have mixed feeling about it because I always knew whenever new seasonal rewards came out I could grab a bundle of them, get the rewards and stock up on gold to unlock other things down the road.

For tonight's stream, Final Fantasy XIV is on deck, as the goal is mostly just casual playing, finding loose side quests and other stuff.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Xfinity Butchered A Great Stream

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream suffered a series of interruptions caused by Xfinity, which resulted in the stream being split into 4 parts. It's been a while since things were that bad to force a complete split in the stream, which meant that 15 minutes of loss footage.

Anyway last night we lead off with NFL Game Day 98... and... quite frankly I was terrible at it, in two full games played, I didn't score a single touch down. While the controls and way to play were similar to the original NFL Game Day, the game's A.I.was just brutal even on the easiest settings. Unfortunately, a good portion off footage from the NFL Game Day 98 portion of the stream is what was loss. On a positive note, NFL Game Day 98 still looks pretty good for a game from 1997. Next time I play a football game on stream, we'll jump to Madden I think

Next on the night was Bio Freaks, and once I saw and realized it was a Midway game from the late 90s, I realized there was going to be a bunch of hokey shit to deal with, mostly from the game's A.I. See Midway was notorious for having some brutal difficulty spikes in its games, and that popped up in a big way. I did play as a few characters, but the controls were rather cumbersome, resulting in some Tekken like struggles in trying to see what did and did not work.

Speaking of Tekken, we finally played Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and I am counting it as a game finished because of going through the arcade mode and then learning character endings can be unlocked via the Ghost Fight option. We spent the majority of the stream with TTT2, and while some if its difficulty spikes were a bit 'mean' at times, it certainly wasn't frustrating beyond me realizing them mistake I made when I lost. Also, this was the PS3 version of the game, so we unlocked several trophies.Also... this game has no analog movement controls which is really fucking weird.

On a side note, since we had to install Tekken Tag Tournament 2 onto the PS3, that meant waiting for a long time for that to happen. The PlayStation 3 never had great install times... then again the PS3 was not really a great system, as many developers have stated over the years.

Big thanks to the chat for kicking in 300 bits during the stream, your support is always appreciated, especially on a night when things were going wrong.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Trophies

  • Insane Juggler: You dealt more than 62 damage in a midair combo.
  • Oodles of Ukemi: You pulled off 3 ukemi.
  • PERFECT Player: You won a PERFECT battle.

  • Lead Coach: You dealt a total of 1000 damage in Practice in Offline Mode.
  • Touch-Up Artist: You customized a character

  • Below the Belt: You pulled off 3 low parries.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Defensive Combo #1, Uppercut Combo #2 and Double Combo #1 for 28 minutes.

I do have to finish that Star Wars commissioned story request, I did get a good chunk done on Wednesday with that unwanted day off... maybe I can knocked out this afternoon.

It's the start of a new week, so let's look back at last week with a video of everything we featured which included Overwatch, Persona 4 Arena, Cultist Simulator, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Persona 5 Strikers, NFL Game Day 98, Bio Freaks and Tekken Tag Tournament 2!

Monday: Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
Tuesday: Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse or Cultist Simulator
Wednesday: Fallout 76
Thursday: Final Fantasy XIV
Friday: Persona 5 Strikers (Possibly Finishing)
Saturday: Madden 98 & Other Nonsense

For tonight's stream, the plan of course is Overwatch and hopefully last night's problems will not carry over to this evenings activities.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Two More Jails Conquered In Persona 5 Strikers!

 Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Persona 5 Strikers ended up being longer than I intended only because I went after some side quests I could have saved for Next Friday, plus I got lost in the Kyoto Jail, which required that I looked up how to navigate it because of warping portals. It reminded me of some of my least favorite aspects of Persona 5 Royal in some Palaces with a lot of misdirection in getting around. Also that one on one battle with duplicate Joker was rather tough, in fact it's a good think I'm constantly stock pile healing items because I was nearly defeated, even on 'Easy' difficulty.

In terms of the plot, Zenkinchi now has his Persona and looks bad ass, Akane was used as a pawn to trap the Phantom Thieves, and the parallels of two of the main villains being tie ins to Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump isn't lost on me. We covered a huge chunk of Zolf's Master Arts so we can easily tackle that at the start of next Friday's stream.

From what I can tell, we're the path to finishing Persona 5 Strikers within two more streams. Granted the longer streams dedicated to knocking out as much of the side quests and main game has helped. There are number of grind heavy achievement left as well, like getting everyone to level 70... however, at this point I've only gotten Joker to level 51, so knocking out 19 levels seems like a tall ask.

Big thanks as always for the bits the viewers in the chat tossed my way during last night's stream! Your kindness is always appreciated!

Funny thing with the trophies we unlocked last night, my completion percentage for all PlayStation games that have achievements that I have played has hit 45%

Persona 5 Strikers Trophies

  • Gentleman Thief: Obtained all Master Arts for Mona.
  • Treasure Hunter: Opened 50 treasure chests.
  • Cage of Desolation Condemned: Completed the Okinawa Jail.
  • Jolly Roger: Obtained all Master Arts for Skull.
  • Farewell to the Past: Wolf awakened his Persona.
  • Eye for Talent: Spent Persona Points to strengthen a Persona's stats.
  • Cage of Wrath Collapsed: Completed the Kyoto Jail.
  • What are Friends For?: Cleared all special requests from the Phantom Thieves.
  • Master Chef: Cooked 12 types of food.

JT Reamluto is trying to walk back the stupid comments he made about not getting vaccinated, thus refusing to play in Canada. He tried to say that 'he's from Oklahoma' as an excuse, but all that proves is that he's an elitist on top of being a fool.

Unlike the last few weeks, we didn't do a Fitness Boxing workout right after the stream, instead I went to bed almost straight away after getting the Facebook highlight reel put together. So with that said Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Double Combo #2, Weaving Combo #1 and Body Hook Combo for 31 minutes.

Thoughts on The Sapporo Arc Of Persona 5 Strikers

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Persona 5 strikers had a few rough instances, and it really does seem like slight issues with network encoding, but the stream didn't go down fully, it just hanged for a bit.

As for the game play, well we tackled a large chunk of the Master Arts stuff, getting Makoto, Sophie and Haru's completed, and have 3/4s of Morgana's progress done, so that will leave just Ryuji and Zenkichi to tackle. Good news is that we have plenty of jails / palaces left to make that more than doable.

Now as far as the Sapporo Jail itself goes, I rather liked the Snow Palace design for it, as it did result in some grad moments in terms of the dialog, and with it being a Haru focused part of the story that meann't a lot of enemies weak to psychic attacks (as well as Wind, Curse and Bless attacks). In many regards this was the equivilant of Futaba's story from Persona 5 Royal, giving Haru some much needed character growth because she was introduced so late in the prior game. I did find the big reveal of the Monarch's design to be one hell of surprise in terms of how it looked, as they really went all out for the 'Gluttony' aspect.

I also enjoyed the big reveal of Zenkichi's daughter, who I already know is going to play a major part in the story, not just because of spoilers I've seen but based on the fact she's a huge fan of the Phantom Thieves and huge part of the time skip from Sapporo to Okinawa involves the gang hanging out with her.

On a side note: For the Ferris Wheel part, we took Makoto, which serves as a great follow up to the romance story featured during my Persona 5 Royal play through.

Persona 5 Strikers Trophies

  • Fist of Justice: Obtained all Master Arts for Queen.
  • Item Sweeper: Obtained a total 200 items from the Jails.
  • Technological Marvel: Obtained all Master Arts for Sophie.
  • Sophisticated Lady: Obtained all Master Arts for Noir.
  • Cage of Gluttony Torched: Completed the Sapporo Jail.
  • Best Friend: Maxed out a BOND skill level.

During the stream we got a huge raid from Hawleigh who was playing Afterparty over at twitch.tv/hawleigh!

For the raid we dropped in on x9abenonymous9x who was playing Fortnite over at twitch.tv/x9abenonymous9x!

Work was surprisingly light yesterday, as bad programming down the assignment everyone was supposed to be on.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Hip Shape Focus Combo, Straight Combo #2 and Intermediate Combo #2 for 28 minutes.

Fitness Boxing 2 Rhythm & Exercise Stats For July 3 to 9, 2022

  • Punches Thrown: 8156
  • Estimated Calories Burned: 3337.93 kcal
  • Bernardo's Champion Progress: 76% (38/50 Hours)
  • King EX Fighter Progress: 94%

My fantasy baseball team is actually having a good week considering how it looked like it would've been lucky to break even.

I continue to mess around with Dr. Mario... I can normally get three stages in before things get too complex for me.

Got the intro portion done for the Commissioned Fic based on Miles Morales as Spider-Man I mentioned yesterday. Did require having to get a digital copy of a comic during a key moment in that character's history to try and get some proper context on a few things. Now I just need to write the meat of the story.

After 143 Hours... We Finished Persona 5 Royal

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Persona 5 Royal certainly saw me doing what the game said to do and 'Take My Time' when it came to trying to anticipate how much content was actually left, as I certainly wasn't rushing to finish the game, because I wanted to streak to last at least four hours. Turns out there was six hours worth of content left based around how I was choosing to handle the last trip into Mementos and doing other things (messing around with the Batting cages, spending time with some of the Confidants and unlocking stuff in the Thieves Den

Now... let's talk about that battle against Maruki which is probably the most drawn out pain in the ass boss fight in the entire game with how many phases it had. Sure we got a HP and SP reset with each phase, but it was a battle that boiled down to 'But wait there's more...' when it came to obviously points of where it should have ended. We defeated Maruki's Persona... no wait... he evolves his Persona... then he gets eaten by his Persona... then it boils down to a fist fight... like really? The Holy Grail to Yaldabaoth boss fight wasn't nearly as padded as Maruki's was.

Now of course by the time we finished that fight it was 10:12 PM... but we didn't finish the game until 12:19 AM... because of all the cut scenes and extended dialog sequences I've managed to find pepped into the last stretches of time. Sure There's the time skips, but there is a lot to see, and when you are given time to roam around there are little nuggets and references one can find that serve as nice callbacks. And since I've been playing Persona 4 Arena, and seeing the 'Men In Black' involvement with characters from Persona 3... I'm betting those were who was chasing the Phantom Thieves at the very end.

Overall, Persona 5 Royal was an awesome experience and I look forward to playing it again on the Xbox side of things in 2023.

Persona 5 Royal (PS4) Trophies

  • Take Back the Future: Completed every Palace.
  • The Path Chosen: Watched the ending.
  • The Phenomenal Phantom Thief: Obtained all trophies.

During the stream we got a raid from Redneck_23 who was playing American Truck Simulator 19 over at twitch.tv/redneck_23!

For last night's raid, we dropped in on YrGamerBunni who was playing Halo: Infinite and Fortnite over at twitch.tv/yrgamerbunni

On a side note, Persona 5 Royal is only the 5th PlayStation title that I've gotten the Platinum Trophy for... the others being NCIS, WWE: Legends of WrestleMania, X-Men The Arcade Game and Sonic The Fighters.

There is a question of what will be featured on Friday's now... and the top two contenders are Dragon's Dogma and Persona 5 Strikers. We'll see what I end up deciding

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured a brisk workout because I woke up super late. Still kept the daily streak going which was good.

While my fantasy baseball team had a great week last week, this weeks looks like it'll be a problem with Bryce Harper having to deal with a blister issue.

For tonight's stream... well, it's back to Persona 4 Arena to continue going through the story mode of that game, which means sitting through the visual novel parts. Good news is I believe we can basically go through everyone's story straight through because we tackled Labrys's story last week. So we should be able to knock off at least three characters stories tonight.

So on that note, we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Just your usual productive night of FF14

Good morning everyone,

Well last night's stream had no issues with internet connectivity so everything went smoothly overall. We got a few things done, getting close to level 90 for Fishing, we knocked off several levels for Botany to get that into the mid-50s, we're passed level 35 as Dragoon... and even got a new spell as Blue Mage. Things for the most part were positive until I went for the Blue Mage spell, and I'd just assumed I would be helping out... but turned out I had to be the one to look up how to get through one dungeon boss.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on YrGamerBunni who was doing a Just Chatting theme and working on various projects plus playing a bit of Fortnite over at twitch.tv/yrgamerbunni!

Messed around with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, and for the most part is is a great game... but it does have some noticeable bugs with the game soft locking at different points, some bad connectivity due to questionable netcode, not spawning into levels and so forth. Still manages to nab some achievements

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Achievement

  • Teamwork: Perform 10 Team Attacks in multiplayer.
  • Most Fearsome Fighting Team!: Complete a Stage in any mode in multiplayer.
  • Come On!: Got hit while performing a taunt.
  • Kind Brother: Revive a teammate in multiplayer.
  • A + B: Finish a boss using a Super Attack.
  • Classic Couch Memories: Complete the Arcade Mode in Multiplayer.
  • Master of One Quarter: Complete the Arcade Mode without using a credit.
  • Special Report: Stop the rogue Channel 6 broadcast in Story Mode.
  • Return to Sender: Deflect 10 projectiles.
  • Piped Piper!: Trespass the royal grounds of NYC sewers and defeat the Rat King in Story Mode.

Have I ever mentioned I'm not the biggest fan of having work assignments that involve dealing with people in New York City? Because I'm not. The only positive was that the assignment was short

Already put in the Pre-Order for Overwatch 2 and signed up for the cross-play Beta. Hopefully we'll be apart of it and start working it into streams in the coming weeks.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Block Combo, Difficult Challenge Combo #2 & Difficult Challenge Combo #3 for 34 minutes. From what I can tell we're over 27 hours in towards the Sophie's Contender EX Achievement.

I was surprised the Phillies walked all over the Nationals last night... but if anything the inconsistent offense is going to be re-exposed sooner rather than later because today they have a double-header.

For tonight's stream, we are getting back to Persona 5 Royal. We have a few main objectives, one involves dealing with unlocking the 3rd and final Personas for the remaining team members, and probably diving deep into Mementos and probably the final palace of the game.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

More Issues With Xfinity, Finally Played The Kenly College

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream was another stream that saw a few interruptions, resulting in two major stream restarts and the loss of 20 minutes of footage. I've documented it my journal so when I call Xfinity to report the problems, which I did after the stream I had all my ducks in a row, pulled up the admin data for my modem so I could see exactly what they were seeing. Also made full use of Twitch Inspector to further prove when issues were happening on stream (not so easy to do when I'm working.

Anyway the stream itself of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 saw Iceman and I tackle the Kenly College event, and I'm really wondering why the hell is it an every three week event because it seems like something folks would want to run repeatedly, but at the same time, some of its gimmicks and finding everything took time. I did like some of the Puzzle elements, and of course since we were playing the Division, that meant Iceman was apart of the fun, so there was some hilarity, including when one enemy ran around me to get to him. Now would I personally want to replay the Kenly College stuff... not really, but it was worth experiencing

For the raid, we dropped in on YrGamerBunni who was playing Mass Effect 2 and Fortnite over at twitch.tv/yrgamerbunni!

Finished the commission request for a WWE story based around Liv Morgan, Finn Balor and AJ Styles yesterday morning, and it's a good thing too, considering Finn turned heel on RAW. This has lead to a new commission request for a story based around the end of Halo 4 with Cortana and Master Chief... which will be hard because I've never played any of the Halo games.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved  Intermediate Combo #1, Triple Combo #2 and Difficult Challenge Combo #1 for a 3o+ minute workout.

I've already seen what the assignment my day job has me on, and it is not what I was anticipating based on what I've seen others working on yesterday. Safe to say I'm not too thrilled with who'll I'll be dealing with this afternoon.

The 'suggestions for starters' regarding my Fantasy Baseball team is rather amusing, as it's suggesting I started Alejandro Kirk over JT Realmuto. Kirk may be having the better season, but it always seems as if it's not starting most of the time, even though he and Realmuto have played in the same amount of games.

For tonight's stream we're going mess around with Persona 4 Arena's story mode... and if it's anything like the story modes in the various BlazBlue games I've played, it should be pretty cool.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 8/21/21: Went down to South Park to have myself a time

Good afternoon everybody,

Well last night's stream was certainly interesting as it relates to the South Park Trilogy on the original PlayStation.. and we used the PS3 for these shenanigans... and this will consist of a few mini-reviews.F

So first up was South Park, the first person shooter that was originally on the Nintendo 64 and then ported to the PlayStation. It's controls are pretty strange, with no use of the analog sticks on the PS3, so we're using the bumper buttons to aim up and down. It looks pretty good, but the draw distance is so short it's makes you wonder if the town of South Park is constantly surrounded by fog. We played through the first five stages, coming and so we got to see a lot of things, such as how the town is laid out and how far we're roaming from the start point, and since we were using Cartman, I assume the start point was his house. Enemies seem to pick up in variation as you progress, but I got really tired of shooting the turkeys, and the enemy A.I. tendency to charge and swarm the player makes me grateful that this game does indeed have a god-mod and provides infinite ammo. This game's biggest strength is the fully voiced cut-scenes, which serves as a nice way to progress the story along.

Next up with South Park: Chef's Luve Shack, which is your standard Puzzle / Party game, similar to the Jackbox Party collections you can find on Steam. This supports up to four players, but can be played solo, but it's a real drab experience. The trivia portion has also sorts of topics such as pop culture of things prior to 1999, science and historical trivia, plus South Park trivia (Guess DJ Slope of Slope's Game Room was wrong about that one). Chef's Luv Shack really shines with it's mini-games, several of which are based around actual things from the show such as Cartman riding a mechanic bull, the Chicken Lover and the kitty wanting Cartman's Pot Pie. Really would bet these would be a ton of fun with two or more people, but with Covid, I'm not bringing anyone here any time soon/

Lastly, South Park Rally... which has to be one of the worse games I've ever player, and probably the worst game of the year for me. First the one positive is that you can fully customize the controls, reassign the buttons to what feels natural to you... now beyond there, there is nothing positive about South Park Rally. It's standard 'race' mode, is a hit check 4 check points over the course of 3 laps, which is fine, Forza Horizon 4 has a lot of races like that... but with South Park Rally, you can take any route you want,  making it very easy to get turned around and loss. But get this you have to unlock any of the other game modes as you play the Championship mode. I've played my fair share of racing games, never have I seen it where they basically prevent you from trying to see what you might like playing. I was very disappointed in it to the point I just said the hell with it and threw in something else.

That something else was Vs, which came out in 1997. Published by THQ, this game looks good,, controls well and has a killer sound track. Now most people will remember Vs. based on the ads that featured Mia in most gaming magazines back in the mid-late 90s. Oddly enough it doesn't have a standard arcade mode, but it does have a Survivor and Challenge modes which kind of play like an arcade mode, with continues and such. The controls can be customized, to where you can bind combination inputs like Punch+Evade to one of the bumper buttons. I wouldn't mind dedicating more of a night to it to see how deep the Challenge or Survivor Mode actually is.

Anyway, here's the list of clips from last night!

Following the stream we raided Oldish22 over at twitch.tv/oldish22 who was playing Final Fantasy XIV! He's a good due, and you should check him out when he's on!

We added a new Funko to the collection, from My Little Pony DJ Pon 3, aka Vinyl Scratch, which is #05 in the Funko My Little Pnny set. I am currently on the trail of a Doctor Whooves Vinyl Figure.

While organizing my book shelves yesterday morning, I found some odd games from the Windows 95/98 era... Triple Play 98, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Pitfall the Mayan Adventure & Virtua Fighter 2. VF2 was a great find because it does prove what I said that it was a a game I played on PC, and is why I play Pai. The version of Pitfall the Mayan Adventure is the one that came exclusive with IBM PC's back in the day. I am surprised at the retro buyers market for Jazz Jackrabbitt 2, but even more surprised that Epic you know the studio behind Fortnite, hasn't done anything with the franchise in over 20 years. Triple Play 98I remember playing better on a Windows 98 machine as opposed to a Windows 95 one, .

Today Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout lasted 34 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 647 kcal, but we did an extra 17 minutes with an additional calorie burn of 315 kcal, so the total session was 51 minutes with a total estimated calorie burn of 963 kcal. The exercises for today with the high setting for Difficult Combos #1 #2 and #3 for the daily workout, and for the extra, we focused on the low setting for those same exercises, because there were achievements listed for performing those. Now these Difficult Combos certainly are harder than the standard variants, and its very easy to get crossed up based on what you has gotten use to seeing in terms of a pattern.

Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise Achievements

  1. Triple Shooting Star: Acquire a 3-star rating in every workout (low)
  2. Triple Supernova: Acquire a 3-star rating in every workout (high)
  3. Extreme Trainer Lv. 1: Acquire 28,000 point or more in Difficult Challenge Combo #1 (Low)
  4. Extreme Trainer Lv. 2: Acquire 28,000 point or more in Difficult Challenge Combo #2 (Low)
  5. Extreme Trainer Lv. 3: Acquire 28,000 point or more in Difficult Challenge Combo #3 (Low)
  6. Extreme Trainer Lv. 4: Acquire 56,000 point or more in Difficult Challenge Combo #1 (High)
  7. Extreme Trainer Lv. 5: Acquire 56,000 point or more in Difficult Challenge Combo #2 (High)
  8. Extreme Trainer Lv. 6: Acquire 56,000 point or more in Difficult Challenge Combo #3 (High)
  9. Monster Weight Puncher Lv. 2: Reach a total punch count of 360,000 HITS

We're going to go back to using Lin every day at the trainer since the next closest achievement to get is Lin's Champion which is to train with Lin for over 50 hours, and we already put in 44 hours. Each of the other trainers I used for 17 hours or less, so they were each take a while to get to their respective champion achievements.  Regardless we're at 72% completion of the EX achievements thus far.

For tonight's stream, we're back to Pokemon Let's Go Eevee as we head off to the Seafoam Islands, we got a battles in between plus there will be attempts to catch whatever Pokemon we can find! The higher we can push out levels the hopefully easier time we'll have with the elite four!

And on that note we'll see you later today over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Deep Space Nine Reactions: Fascination
