The party is loud. JACK pushes through the crowd with a bottle of Serrice Ice. WREX follows, amused and already half‑buzzed.

JACK
(raising her voice)
Shepard! Hey! We gotta talk. Grunt just yelled something across the room, and I need answers.

WREX
He said Tali showed you her face. Her real face. No visor. No filters. The actual thing.

Shepard freezes mid‑sip. Across the room, TALI stiffens like someone just unplugged her suit.

SHEPARD
…Grunt needs a muzzle.

WREX
So it’s true! I knew it! I wanna see it.

JACK
Yeah, me too. I’ve earned this. I’ve been shot, stabbed, set on fire—show me the damn face.

Tali tries to quietly back out of the room. She immediately bumps into GARRUS, who was calibrating the snack table.

GARRUS
Whoa—Tali? You okay?

TALI
No. Shepard told one person. One! And now the krogan and the tattooed maniac want a viewing.

JACK
Hey! I’m not a maniac. I’m a professional maniac.

WREX
And I’m just curious. Quarians are mysterious. Like pyjaks that can build starships.

TALI
We are not pyjaks!

LIARA drifts over. JAVIK appears because he senses “foolishness.” JOKER limps in with a drink.

JOKER
Okay, what’s happening? And is it something I can mock?

SHEPARD
Everyone relax. Go back to partying.

WREX
Not until I see the face.

JACK
Same. I wanna know if she’s got mandibles.

TALI
I DO NOT HAVE MANDIBLES!

Shepard steps between them.

SHEPARD
Tali showed me her face because she trusted me. It was private. Personal.

JACK
So… like tits?

SHEPARD
JACK.

WREX
If it’s that big a deal, we can make it a ritual. Krogan do face‑showing rites.

TALI
You absolutely do not!

WREX
We could start.

GARRUS

Jack leans in, grinning.

JACK

Tali throws her hands up.

TALI
Fine! FINE! But only if Shepard says it’s okay.

Everyone turns to Shepard like she’s about to choose a dialogue wheel option that determines the fate of the galaxy.

SHEPARD
Tali… it’s your face. Your call.

Tali breathes, nods.

TALI
Then the answer is no. Absolutely no. Not happening.
(beat)
Unless everyone here agrees to never mention this again.

Wrex thinks, then grins.

WREX
Deal.
But only if you let me take a picture of Shepard’s face when she tries my new krogan liquor.

SHEPARD
Wait—what?

JACK
Oh, hell yes. That’s fair.

TALI
…Acceptable.

“The Draculina Descends”

 EXT. LONDON RUINS – NIGHT

The sky burns. Reapers fire into the city. Hammer forces are scattered.

A shuttle wreck smolders in the rubble.

Shepard’s gauntleted hand claws free. She hauls herself out, armor cracked, bleeding.

SHEPARD
(grim)
Still here.
Liara and Tali climb out behind her.

LIARA
Shepard! Are you hurt?

SHEPARD
I’ve had worse.
(into comm)
Anderson, we’re down but mobile. Moving toward your position.

A Reaper beam slams into the ground nearby. The earth splits open, revealing a buried stone vault—ancient, runed, humming with red light.

TALI
Keelah… that’s not in any of the mission briefings.

LIARA
That architecture… it’s not Prothean. 

The runes pulse faster. Something inside begins pounding.

SHEPARD
Guns up. Nobody touch it.

The stone splits. A massive iron coffin rises from the dust—black, engraved with sigils, chained shut.

Marines aim rifles.

MARINE
Commander?

The coffin shakes violently.

SHEPARD
Hold fire.

The chains snap. The lid blasts off like a missile.

A figure sits up, stretching like someone waking from a nap.

A massive anti‑tank cannon materializes beside her, resting against the coffin.

SERAS VICTORIA
Bloody hell… did someone start the apocalypse without me? Again?

She looks around at the burning city.

SERAS
…Yep. Definitely again.

Tali yelps, raising her shotgun.

TALI
What is that?!

Liara’s biotics flare.

LIARA
Her energy signature—Shepard, I’ve never seen anything like it.

Seras blinks at them, confused but friendly.

SERAS
Hi! Hello! I’m Seras. Seras Victoria. Police girl. Vampire.
(pats cannon)
This is my emotional support gun.

All rifles tighten.

SHEPARD
Identify your allegiance.

Seras studies Shepard, tilting her head.

SERAS
You’re not Integra. Or Alucard. Or anyone I know.
(beat)
Oh bollocks. I’ve been isekai’d, haven’t I?

TALI
What’s an “isekai”? Is that a species?

LIARA
I don’t think so.

A Reaper Brute roars behind them.

Seras sighs.

SERAS
Right. One apocalypse at a time.

She lifts the Harkonnen with one hand.

EXT. LONDON STREET – CONTINUOUS

The Brute charges the squad.

Seras fires.

The Harkonnen’s blast vaporizes the Brute and half the street behind it.

The shockwave knocks Marines off their feet; Shepard braces, sliding back.

TALI
Keelah! She just deleted it!

LIARA
That weapon… the mass, the recoil—how is she holding it?

Seras lowers the cannon, sheepish.

SERAS
Sorry! Bit rusty! Haven’t fired this thing in… uh… a century? Ish?

Shepard steps forward, eyes locked on Seras.

SHEPARD
You’re not Alliance. You’re not Cerberus. You’re not Reaper tech.
What are you?

Seras smiles—warm, but with fangs.

SERAS
A soldier. A protector. Someone who’s lost too many people already.
(eyes glow brighter)
And someone who’s not letting giant metal space‑squids eat another planet.

She looks up at the Reapers with a predator’s grin.

SERAS
So, Commander… point me at the bad guys.
I’ve got the big gun.

Shepard holds her gaze for a beat, then nods.

SHEPARD
You want to help? You’re with us.
(to squad)
We move. Anderson’s waiting.

EXT. LONDON RUINS – MOVING TOWARD ANDERSON

Shepard leads. Liara and Tali flank her. Seras walks casually behind, Harkonnen on her shoulder.
Reaper forces close in.
A Marauder fires at Seras. Bullets bounce off.

SERAS
Oi! I just woke up! At least buy me dinner before shooting me!

She fires a single round. The Marauder ceases to exist.

TALI
Okay, I’m officially glad she’s on our side.

LIARA
Your physiology… your energy… it’s unlike anything in the galaxy.

SERAS
Aww, thanks! I try.
(softer)
I’m a vampire. Long story. Lots of blood. Very messy.
But I fight for humans. For people. For home.
She glances at Shepard.

SERAS
This is your home, yeah?

SHEPARD
Yeah.

SERAS
Then it’s mine too. For now.

Shepard gives the smallest hint of a smile.

SHEPARD
Then let’s make sure it’s still here tomorrow.

EXT. ANDERSON’S POSITION – MOMENTS LATER
Anderson and his squad are pinned down by Cannibals.

ANDERSON
(over comm)
Shepard, we’re cut off! We—

A shockwave hits as Seras lands in the middle of the Cannibals like a meteor. They’re obliterated instantly.
Dust clears.
Seras stands in the crater, Harkonnen on her shoulder, waving.

SERAS
Hi! I’m new!

Anderson stares.

ANDERSON
Shepard… what the hell did you bring with you?

Shepard steps up beside Seras.

SHEPARD
Backup.

Liara and Tali join them.

SERAS
Hello! I’m Seras! Vampire, heavy weapons specialist, occasional war crime—
(beat)
—against fascists, to be clear.

ANDERSON
Is she… safe?

Seras leans in, fanged smile wide.

SERAS
Oh, absolutely!

Tonight's stream of Smite was going very well, until like the final 15 minutes when a power outage knocked me off-line. Luckily was able to get back in to finish the final match. We were joined by PandaSweet for the entire stream, and she's certainly gotten on a roll with characters I've never played as. 

Of course Sea of Thieves was schedule, but Iceman was unable to join us, so maybe next week we'll be back on the high seas

Tonight's stream saw a lot of roaming around the abbey in Midnight Suns as we opened up new ares to explore and saw that there are things that re-spawn periodically. S between every mission there is bound to be a Mass Effect like roaming around session.

I do need to get the Hunter to level 8 or higher to unlock the second hidden power, and possibly try to get abilities that can strike multiple enemies at once.

We didn't really advance the plot, but discovered there are missions that can be done before major story ones to earn additional rewards and such. I'm really liking this game overall!

Our first night of Marvel's Midnight Suns was pretty good, the game looks good, and it's combat system is pretty interesting as it card and tactics, so not quite like Persona 5 Tactica, but close enough for me to understand the basics. We are playing it on Story Mode.

I do like we'll have an opportunity to roam around the hub world, kind of like how I would when playing Mass Effect, going around the Normandy or Citadel between missions. Looking forward to seeing how the plot and stuff moves forward.

So yes, Marvel's Midnight Suns will return tomorrow night!

For the raid we dropped in on calyria who was playing Dragon Age Inquisition 

My power went out on my from a little after 5 PM to a bit around 8 PM, basically negating my entire work shift for today. Seeing as how the property tax for my home is due on August 1st (and I have yet to see the next update on what that amount will be), I'm annoyed, especially seeing as how the July 4th Holiday is going to be problematic.

Got a lot of writing done in the Mass Effect story commission, mainly writing non-action scenes for world building purposes. I do have two full scenes to write, and if I make the story long enough I can make up for the power outage today.

Also, I hate this heatwave, I hate when it's over 70 degrees at night, it makes it impossible for me to sleep!

Overwatch, Smite and other notes

Tonight's stream opened up with Overwatch 2 as McCowboy and PandaSweet joined in for matches that saw a wide variety of quality at times. Since the new battle pass season has started I'll probably work in matches off stream to get it done as quickly as possible. Also enabled streamer mode, which meant I had several different alias throughout the night which was fun.

PandaSweet and I also played some Smite, wanting to work in some of that so that Panda can get more of a feel for things. Also to my own shock I got the 2nd of Sol's related achievement... after getting the first one for her back in 2018!

Overwatch 2 will return next Sunday, and we'll see about Smite

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was the usual, but we it was a double XP weekend, so by doing daily, weekly and event challenges we got closer to the completing the bonus tiers for titles in the battle pass.

We were joined by PandaSweet, which is always awesome as things could and sometimes did get silly with some things that happened.

Picked up one of Mercy related achievements, and I realize the other is for resurrecting a certain number of players without dying... don't think that's going to happen since I rarely play as Mercy.

Already know the electric bill is in, which will be paid on Friday along with the Water Bill

Considering buying more salad stuff next time I do groceries so instead of cooking I can just rip open a bag and chow down.

Finished the Mass Effect commission request and it broke the 6000 word mark. Next story on the docket is based on Legend of Zelda

In regards to the Fantasy Baseball team, we won the week 6 to 4, winning in Runs (37 to 30), (Home Runs (8 to 6) RBI (36 to 27) Saves (5 to 4) ERA (2.008 to 3.58) and WHIP (0.88 to 1.07). We lost on Stolen Bases (6 to 8), Average (.250 to .276) and Wins (5 to 6)

Persona 4 Golden and other notes

Tonight's stream of Persona 4 Golden saw us learn that Kanji is the next person that needs to be rescued and some things regarding his sexuality have not aged well, but we also got to see Naoto being more apart of the story as well to some degree as she has already been chatting with Kanji.

That said, a lot of the stream was spent building up social links, setting up and completing side quests before finally reaching May 22 to go hunting for items as well as giving us an excellent starting point to rescue Kanji and going through his dungeon next week.

Level wise we're up the upper 20s, which allowed me to knock out some of Margaret's Social Link fusion requests earlier than expected as well as hold 10 Personas at a time. 

Also ran into Death and... safe to say I don't want to do that again until way later in the game with more powerful Personas on hand.

Ghost of Tsushima and other notes

Tonight's stream of Ghost of Tsushima was focused on exploring the northern portion of the map, finding a lot of things before realizing two things were back in the central area, and needed a guide to get them (one was a fox den and one was a Haiku that was hidden because of an NPC). I need one Haiku to complete another trophy but that's tied to the main story.

At this point, I have 5 major side quests to do to complete tales associated with three of my allies and the main story itself. There is a slim possibility all of that could be done the next time we play Ghost of Tsushima next Friday. But the goal will be do tackle the side quests first before advancing the plot again.

I do know there will be a good chance to get the Platinum trophy as I knocked out two trophies tonight (Have a Night Fall and Dirge of the Fallen Forge) that I thought would be impossible. I just will need a guide to find 10 hidden shrines to bow to.  Way I figure, my total play time of the base game of Ghost of Tsushima is going to be close to 70 hours... and I'm certainly not going to deal with the DLC any time soon.

Since I felt weird all week and felt I've had a good enough 9 days of work to cover one day with potential incentive bonuses, I took the day off.

Managed to finish the Star Wars commission. which would also help partially cover for today as well, I say partially because I did order something to eat as I didn't feel like messing around in the kitchen.

Felt totally embarrassed about missing a text from my brother on mother's day which I didn't noticed until earlier today... what is wrong with me, other than fucking obvious? 

Really looking into services to remove two trees and take care of the yard. At the moment the tree removal might be the bigger priority

Ghost of Tsushima (PS4) Trophies

Borderlands 2 and other notes

Tonight we started playing Borderlands 2, and we're playing it on the Xbox Series console to take advantage of the texture pack. For this play through, we're playing as Gaige, and I quickly discovered her Deathtrap Robot is going to be used a lot. 

We covered every side quest we came across so far and finished the night where we reach the front door of Sanctuary,  but it was getting late, so next time we play we're going after Reese.

Borderlands 2 will return on Monday's stream.

Tomorrow we're playing Ghost of Tsushima as we explore the western half of the ACT 2 portion of the map.

I was expecting not to have work today, but turned out we did, so we didn't lose hours, and tonight was a bit better than the last two nights. Of course this means I now have to try and rebound for tomorrow to work mid-day... ugh.

Finished the Mass Effect commission which involved a fuck ton of rewrites... but at least we got it done. Next up on my list is a Fairy Tail commission.

Several chapters into Becky Lynch's book, and yeah, one can see why she is The Man!

Tonight's stream of Smite saw Striker and I playing six matches, winning four of them. The final match ended up being quite irky because one player on our team stayed in the spawn area the entire match. Promptly reported them for basically not participating.

Work was another slog tonight, I could have had three interviews done but had issues where the calls ended unexpected on two of them. And chances are I won't have work tomorrow and will have to do a mid-day shift on Friday.

Had a case of rewrite-itus as the Mass Effect commission I'm working on saw me restart it three times before figuring out how I would do it. 

Recorded my review of South Park Snow Daria and next weeks installment of The Daria Reactions (covering the the fifth episode of season one.

Also my copy of Becky Lynch's book arrived today, and it's easily one of the better wrestling books I've read so far.

South Park Snow Day and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up South Park Snow Day, making it the 12th game we've finished this year, and I have to say it's the weakest in terms of story when compared to The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole. Overall it's a very compact game and straight forward game, that rewards a little exploration.

It being a rouge lite is kind of where it needs to shine, and it really is going to need some form of DLC campaigns to really make it feel more than a cash grab or a tech-demo

Starting Thursday we'll be playing Borderlands 2 on the Xbox Series Console

Our next stream will feature Smite due to Iceman not being able to join us for Sea of Thieves this week
