Persona 4 Golden and other notes

We got a lot done tonight in Persona 4 Golden as we started early (at around 8 PM) due to Memorial Day holiday, as the Investigation team has met Rise, Adachi still isn't a suspect yet, but Dojima is starting to get suspicious about our heroes.

We're about level 50, so we're certainly over leveling, this is thanks in large parts to how I explore everything, and we were grinding for specific items to fulfill side quests. The Compendium is already over 40% complete

So when we play Persona 4 Golden tomorrow, we'll be working our way through the 3rd Dungeon to rescue Rise, which probably opens up Teddy to be included in the party since he will no longer be the navigator.

Ghost of Tsushima and other notes

Tonight's stream of Ghost of Tsushima was focused on exploring the northern portion of the map, finding a lot of things before realizing two things were back in the central area, and needed a guide to get them (one was a fox den and one was a Haiku that was hidden because of an NPC). I need one Haiku to complete another trophy but that's tied to the main story.

At this point, I have 5 major side quests to do to complete tales associated with three of my allies and the main story itself. There is a slim possibility all of that could be done the next time we play Ghost of Tsushima next Friday. But the goal will be do tackle the side quests first before advancing the plot again.

I do know there will be a good chance to get the Platinum trophy as I knocked out two trophies tonight (Have a Night Fall and Dirge of the Fallen Forge) that I thought would be impossible. I just will need a guide to find 10 hidden shrines to bow to.  Way I figure, my total play time of the base game of Ghost of Tsushima is going to be close to 70 hours... and I'm certainly not going to deal with the DLC any time soon.

Tomorrow night we begin the second story arc of Persona 4 Golden!

Since I felt weird all week and felt I've had a good enough 9 days of work to cover one day with potential incentive bonuses, I took the day off.

Managed to finish the Star Wars commission. which would also help partially cover for today as well, I say partially because I did order something to eat as I didn't feel like messing around in the kitchen.

Felt totally embarrassed about missing a text from my brother on mother's day which I didn't noticed until earlier today... what is wrong with me, other than fucking obvious? 

Really looking into services to remove two trees and take care of the yard. At the moment the tree removal might be the bigger priority

Ghost of Tsushima (PS4) Trophies

Skullgirls 2nd Encore and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up a few things in Skullgirls 2nd Encore, namely completely Black Dahlia's story mode (and that was surprisingly difficulty), did a few arcade runs (one of which took half a hour), and picked up a few achievements for certain characters. Now earlier in the day I worked on a couple of other achievements associated, namely ones realized to getting a 829-Hit combo and having sixty different types of combos performed.

So with Skullgirls 2nd Encore finished, we can slot Final Fantasy XIII into Mondays, meaning we can dedicated Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to it as we work on finishing the game. Of course, obviously we're playing Final Fantasy XIII for tomorrow's stream.

We didn't have work tonight which bugs the hell out of me, but hopefully we'll have something lined up sooner rather than later.

Had a hard time working on the WWE commission story today, in fact it took me most of the day to figure out how to even start it since I don't follow the current product and have no clue on what a number of character quirks are (and unlike with some other things, I don't intend to look into it).

The public reaction to the Fairy Tail commission from early January was about what I figured, and you know what, I don't mind because if someone is going to get mad enough to comment about a 5000 word story, then they should write their own.

A Bit of Unplanned Variety

Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream opened with Resident Evil 6 and yes we were playing with Iceman, as we knocked out Chapter 4 of Chris's campaign... and we could've probably knocked out Chapter 5, but Iceman was unable to continue. But good news is we'll be able to finish the campaign next week and probably start up the Jake/Sherry campaign! Compared to Chapter 3 last week, we had little trouble with Chapter 4.

So with Iceman having to go early, I switched over to Forza Horizon 5, mostly just messing around, grinding towards some achievements. Also tried out the Hot Wheels area, and that is going to be pain to find all the roads in it!

Lastly we jumped into PowerWash Simulator to begin another assignment, nothing major, getting 40% of the detached home done.

All of this resulted in getting achievements across three different games, so that was pretty cool.

100% On Spider-Man, Nearly Done The DLC

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday was a bit positive, as the fridge is fully full to the point I have to dispose of some leftovers earlier than I intended, since I'm trying to control my eating, meaning some things are lasting longer than normal.

Last night's stream of Spider-Man saw us completing the 2nd installment of the City That Never Sleeps story, which saw Yuri starting to snap and Hammerhead being presented as a major villain. During the course of this, we got enough base and challenge tokens to get the final costumes to get the last trophy of the base game to get the Platinum, making Spider-Man only the 10th game I've ever completed on PlayStation consoles (and yes I do count the DLC trophies as being separate).

So things set up rather nicely for next Friday's stream, with luck we can get every trophy for the final installment of the City That Never Sleeps to 100% it as well, which would level the two trophies associated with New Game+ and playing the game on the hardest difficulty. Since both of those are considered DLC, I'll consider doing a New Game+ on Ultimate difficulty... next year... assuming my life is not upended due to various fears and concerns I have.

Striker won't be joining us this week, so instead of Elder Scrolls Online we'll be doing something random, in fact I've talked about it recently, we're going to start up second play through of Mass Effect, namely the Xbox 360 version. The goal is to be paragon and an engineer, while focusing on having Ashley and Alenko as the companions throughout. Also of note, this will be the first play through of the original Mass Effect since 2020.

My cousin Frances got ill recently, and I hope she has a speedy recovery! Once she's back at 100% we're doing some gaming together!

Dragon Bal Super Hero: Super Hero Is Just Meh...

Good morning everyone,

Finally got around to watching Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and considering all the praise it's got, I was rather underwhelmed, mostly because the pacing was just not good. The extended sequence on Beerus' planet as justification to make sure Goku and Vegeta were shown really took away quite a bit of screen time that could've been used towards furthering Gohan's character arc actually being worth pay off of him going into that transformation he got. The real bright spots of the film are of course Piccolo, Pan, Dr. Hedo and the Gammas, and the over overall visuals were impressive.

That all said, I am curious on if the Manga version will fix the pacing problems, and if I was in a better position, I would be interested in checking it out to see the story fleshed out more. Oh well. 

Also what the hell was up with Beerus apparently having an interest in Cheelai. As someone who does some light fan fic writing, as a shipping pairing, Beerus & Cheelai makes zero sense.

Yesterday I made a mistake, or rather the previous night, I forgot to defrost what I wanted for dinner last night, so I had to order our. Ended up getting a Baconator from Wendy's... and that was a damn good burger.

Last night's stream of Overwatch 2 was real rough, a lot more losses than wins, with random teammates making questionable choices from the very start of the night. Still we had fun, big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun. I picked up one last Play of the Game for April as Orissa, other characters used were Junker Queen, Ana, Moira, Reinhardt, Wrecking Ball, Tracer, Bastion and a few others.

Even picked up another achievement during the stream, and it says a lot of my confidence playing as Tracer in matches where I'm mostly facing PC players via cross play. And with that achievement, I now have 55% of the currently obtainable achievements in the game on the Xbox side of things!

Overwatch 2 Achievements

• Total Recall: Recover 400 health using Tracer's Recall without dying in Quick or Competitive Play.

Had a weird DNS issue yesterday that totally freaked me out, sometimes one must simply turn things off and on again it seems.

The job hunt continues to go poorly as I hope for work to pick back up with my current job. Taking a short at applying for a job at Cooper Hospital again.

New Water Heater and More Saints Row

Good afternoon everyone,

We begin by saying thank you to my brother Leo, his friend Macho and Macho's father for all their help in getting a new water heater installed with little to no trouble, and for half the cost PSE&G wanted. It's one less stressful thing to worry about in what has been a dramatic few weeks. For the record, it turns out the previous water heater was installed in 2003, so it did its job and then some. I recall mom wanted to replace it a few years ago, but then COVID hit and other things too priority around the house.

Last night's stream of Saints Row was entirely focused on finding Discoveries and expanding the Saints Empire, as I refuse to fully advance the main story until I do everything that is considered side content. This meant a lot of roaming around, flying, gliding, getting into scraps and actually having to try things multiple times because of critical mission failures (aka I fought, I died, I respawned). The biggest main in the ass is calling out Marshall and it's 'mini-boss' being an enemy that is invulnerable unless you let it overheat, then shoot its tanks and then wear it down, rinse and repeat until it's defeated. Ended up reducing all the difficulty settings to the lowest possible just to get through it!

That saint tonight's stream will be more of the same, looking to continue expanding The Saints empire and finding all the goodies across the map.

Going forward with Overwatch 2, I'm going to focus on just the first 80 levels of the battle pass and forego the titles. Mostly because I want to write more.

Last night's stream was certainly filled with wins and losses, in fact there was a long stretch with a lot of losses in a row early on. Still we ended up getting on a stretch of wins too. We also had a variety of folks joining is, big thanks to PatD, PandaSweet and LvStrkr for being apart of the games. I personally picked up two Plays of the Game, one as Mei and one as Junker Queen. Other characters sued were Moira, D.va, Reinhardt, Lucio, Junkrat and several others.

So that Maximillian_DOOD and the Yo Videogames crew was playing DKO Divine Knockout last night, unfortunately they were just doing 2 v 2, becuase it would be interesting to see how they would handle a 3 v 3 situation. He also did a Boss Rage for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection that I wish I could've stayed up to watch, but thankfully the twitch VODs pick up from where you last watched a live stream for a channel.

Also, yesterday we hit the two year mark... and at my current pace, I should hit the 50 hour mark with Martina around December 27th, original estimate had it being reached January 1st

Fall Guys and Fallout 76...at least the first four letters are the same

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream opened with Fall Guys, and in the 'Krakken' event show, I came painfully close several times to winning, but had some last minute bad luck. Still it was a total blast every single time. Big thank you to PandaSweet for being apart of lot of the fun, as we also took part in Duo and Squad shows as well.

We also played Fallout 76, and as I focus on basically trying to gain one level a week, I found an area that I didn't visit before, Camden Park, which was kind of cool. We were also joined by Iceman, as we helped them advanced their progress in the Steel Dawn story arc. Will be really cool to help them in many of the heavy combat areas I had to deal with.

Work was real good yesterday, things really went my way in terms of getting things done, which felt good,

Finished writing the short story Batman commission, had to add a bit of padding to it to get it to where I like these little projects to be in terms of length. Really should get back to adding more dialog during the action portions. Next commission request I have is yet another WWE short story. Actually I have back to back WWE commissions coming up

Put in more off-stream grinding in Persona 4: Dancing All-Night... and I can say without question trying to see every fever time combination is going to be rather rough because the pacing on Hard is damn near All-Night levels off difficulty when compared to Person 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Person 5: Dancing in Starlight. Did manage to knock out another achievement in it

Phillies are going to the World Series

Good afternoon everyone,  

Well at the time of yesterdays blog, the Phillies were winning and they let the lead slip, but came back to win 4-3 behind a huge Bryce Harper home run... so yeah I was pump, it was a great way to go into last night's stream of Overwatch 2. And now The Phillies will be facing the Houston Astros, who swept the Yankees in four-games. Needless to say, I'm not too confident in the Phillies chances of beating the Astros.

Anyway, we were joined by PandaSweet for a lot of fun in Overwatch 2 last night with our fair share of wins and losses, not to mention losing our minds thanks to some stupidity by some of the players. I'm not sure when, but people need to stop shooting at Zarya's bubbles, because all that does is make her strong which leads to her just melting every other tank in the game. 

Pick up two Plays of the Game as Mei and D.va, but I will say this the one POTG I got as Mei was not the best one in the match, as I had a better moment that lead to a Team Kill. Oh well, always nice to pick up the POTGs.  

On a side note, there were no issues with Xfinity last night during the stream, so maybe what happened on Saturday night was a fluke.

Played some Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed following the stream and discovered that there is glitch that can result in a player being a Ghost getting stuck in a wall. Thankfully that player left the match and I was able to finally get credit for a ghost capture for the first time.

From Horizon To The Armax Arena

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Mass Effect 3 saw a lot of what I wanted to do accomplished and more. First order of business was taking care of the Horizon mission which reveals Ceberus was using refugees for their science experiments and also rescue Miranda and her sister from their father. The Flare ability learned after doing the Omega DLC certainly helped made dealing groups of enemies a cake walk.

Then it was back to the Citadel to start up the Citadel DLC, which of course is The Clone Saga, which reveals there was another Commander Shepard running around. I love this mini-arc, because it brings Wrex back, and thus I basically make sure he's in every squad for the Casino, the Archives and the raid on the Normandy. 

Now instead of focusing on the party, we put time in the Armax Arena which has its own set of mini-missions in the simulator, and we tackled them all, which actually got my kill count to 2700 out of 5000. I also did some 'difficulty' adjusting to make sure two achievements were also picked up (Simulated Hero and The One and Only), which means once we throw the Party I will have all the achievements associated with the Citadel DLC, which is something I didn't do on the PC version of Mass Effect 3.

So next time we play Mass Effect 3 will be on Monday, which will feature all the majority of the crew interactions along with the Party... and then the raid on the Cerberus Base along with the battle on Earth.

The Visual Novel Of Persona 4: Arena

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Persona 4: Arena saw the big focus on the story mode, which like the various BlazBlue games I've played over the years, meant it was a visual novel approach to presenting the story with a couple of decision points with a few one round fights thrown in. I did enjoy the story and getting to know the cast of Persona 4... and as well as some characters from Persona 3 that I've seen in the story paths for Yu and Yukiko up through their respective cliffhangers. Now I did considered doing a full on read out loud of all the narrative text... which lasted until we reached the cliff hanger for Yu, and yeah, that is just way too much to cover while trying to keep up with the chat. Still we'll set aside a night of the week to gradually go through the story mode. 

Of course I did also learn this important tip for when I get around to playing Persona 4 (or Persona 4: Golden): Do not eat anything prepared by Yukiko.

For last night's raid, YrGamerBunni redeemed the Guide The Raid, and thus the fun was sent over to Aiwindels who was playing World of Warcraft over at twitch.tv/aiwindels!  

While yesterday's day work day was shorten because we hit out goal rather quickly, it was not without incident with regard to Xfinity and a couple of dips of service. So pissed off as I was, first chance I got I called Xfinity to get a few an appointment set for this weekend to have a technician come out to check the lines, the tap and other things Xfinity needs to check to ensure nothing needs replacing or repaired. Now what is funny is that I cot a call from Xfinity's 'Advance Technical Team' who wanted to do same procedures remotely that were done the previous night in a blatant attempt to get me to cancel the technician visit this Saturday. That is some major league chutzpah.

Of course I would get a call this morning saying they fixed the issue and if I want to cancel the appointment for Saturday... and since I have not fully tested my connection this morning, I still confirmed the technician visit for Saturday.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Defensive Combo #1, Defensive Combo #2 and Front-Back Step Combo.

Moving on to the amazing stupidity that is Fox News refusing to air the January 6 hearings because of how they were involved in the build up and encouragement for the insurrection attempt back in 2021 just shows how gutless they are. 

The Price Gouging done by places like Wegman's is getting idiotic in particular with how prices are being changed on the fly to penny pinch the consumer.

Played some Smite off stream last night, mostly just to grind out a few things, nothing too complicated.

For tonight's stream, we're going to get back to Fallout 76, and Iceman will be joining us at some point so we'll continue some of the various quests we both have.
