Resident Evil, Forza Horizon and other notes

Hi everyone,

Work was cancelled again, as the client pushed back the start of the assignment again... needless to say everyone at the job was pissed. But I had a job interview that went fairly welly to the point I have a 2nd interview on Monday.

Tonight's stream did start at 9:30 PM as Iceman and I started up the Ada Wong campaign of Resident Evil 6, and what became real clear is that only the player playing as Ada (in this case me) can interact with puzzles and opening boxes and doors. So pulling up a guide to find the solutions to puzzles certainly was a tactic we're going to use. We cleared the first two chapters of the campaign, so there are three left.

Did like that Chapter 2 matched up with Leon's campaign, and it appears that Chapter 3 will sync up with Chris' campaign.

Resident Evil 6 Achievements

• I Spy: Complete Chapter 1 in Ada's campaign.
• Counterintelligence: Complete Chapter 2 in Ada's campaign.

We also did a bit of Forza Horizon 5, just some casually driving around, did a few races and made some progress towards a couple of achievements. Nothing major

Finished the closing chapter of the Mass Effect series of commission stories and not I was requested to do a series based on Resident Evil and to come up with a rough outline. 

Kristi and I also did some nice casual writing on our Power Rangers project, certainly exploring different aspects of characters and talking about things within the franchise has been a nice change of pace.

Our next stream is scheduled for 9:30 PM Eastern on Thursday, and we might do more random stuff in Borderlands as I ponder what next big game to start up. If work is cancelled (which I hope it isn't, we'll start around 7 PM.

Half Way Finished with RE6

Hi everyone,

We had work today, which meant the stream didn't start until after 9:30 PM, and the work assignment was interesting as it focused on Wellness and Fitness Centers to see what draw people towards them. It's a short study with a high production rate requirement, but for now I'll just take the hours. Even though I had 5 completed interviews.

The parts from PSE&G for the fridge arrived today, but now the fridge is acting normal after I cranked up the internal dial from 5 to 9 on Monday. I scheduled the appointment for the tech to come and install these parts on Monday to be between 7 AM & 9 AM, which is going to suck.

As far as the stream goes, Iceman and I finished Chris' campaign, and a lot of the suddenly weird camera angle changes for various sequences pretty much sucked. It took us an hour to get through Chapter 5 of that campaign, and then we jumped into Jake's campaign, which has less of the frantic action heavy vibe. For the run of Jake's campaign, I'm playing as Sherry, which has lead to some hilarious moments.

After the mid-stream break, I switched over to Forza Horizon 5, and we managed to get quite a few achievements knocked out. Of course because I haven't stream this late in a while, I was spacing out a bit towards the end.

Got some writing done on the Mass Effect short story commission featuring Tali'Zorah, as setting thing up for it taking place on Rannoch is a bit tough without going line for line from the game. 

Our next stream is scheduled for 9:30 PM Eastern on Thursday, and we're going to continue Gotham Knights, making our big push on wrapping that up.

A Bit of Unplanned Variety

Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream opened with Resident Evil 6 and yes we were playing with Iceman, as we knocked out Chapter 4 of Chris's campaign... and we could've probably knocked out Chapter 5, but Iceman was unable to continue. But good news is we'll be able to finish the campaign next week and probably start up the Jake/Sherry campaign! Compared to Chapter 3 last week, we had little trouble with Chapter 4.

So with Iceman having to go early, I switched over to Forza Horizon 5, mostly just messing around, grinding towards some achievements. Also tried out the Hot Wheels area, and that is going to be pain to find all the roads in it!

Lastly we jumped into PowerWash Simulator to begin another assignment, nothing major, getting 40% of the detached home done.

All of this resulted in getting achievements across three different games, so that was pretty cool.

Did some yard work in the morning, mostly cutting branches that extended over the sidewalk... unfortunately this lead to me taking a nap and losing the afternoo

Work was really good, getting 5 interviews done, but work also ran a bit long because of the final interview, meaning I didn't eat dinner. Oh well.

Somehow I sprained my ankle

 Hi Everyone,

You know, I'm not sure, but I sprained my left ankle, I don't remember taking any weird steps over at all yesterday, but clearly I did. Might have been I was going through a few things to throw out with this week's garbage.

Tonight's stream ended at about 1:36 AM, as we had the late night start due to work, but it was fully of wild and crazy things as Iceman and I tackled Chapter 3 of Chris's campaign in Resident Evil 6... and I ended up dying 22 times, most of which in the part where you're trying to escape a helicopter. That part was just awful! But on the plus side it was hilarious, even if I was getting a little frustrated with it. So the goal of getting through two chapters certainly did not happen, but we had fun and I do like how we reached apart of Chris's campaign that was overlapping with key moments of Leon's campaign.

On the other hand, Chris Redfield is certainly not a likeable character at all, not that he ever was, but he really comes across as more generic when compared to how he was in Resident Evil 5. His entire PTSD shtick doesn't make him compelling when compared to the over the top tone of the action set pieces.

We also did some Forza Horizon 5 getting a few achievements done while working towards a few achievements and making some progress towards in-game objectives. The Goliath race taking a solid 15 minutes was certainly a marathon race to complete.

Our next stream for Thursday night will be start at 9:30 PM Eastern and we're finally going to check out Duken Nukem Forever because... why not? We're going to take our usual casual approach to it to see if we can work around a lot of the game's issues at the lower possible difficulty.

Work yesterday was pretty good, got one complete interview... granted coming off a five day weekend, means I only have shifts for Thursday and Friday this week, but that's the nature of having major holiday weekends in close proximity.

Chris's Campaign In RE6 is Very Action Heavy!

Hi Everyone,

Tonight's stream ended at around 1:45 AM, and we opened with Resident Evil 6, playing with Iceman we finally started Chris's campaign, knocking out the first two chapters with various shenanigans along the way. Chris's campaign is certainly a lot closer to being a Gears of War game with how action heavy it is, but the lack of a cover system certainly makes it interesting, and it wastes no time in being very over the top. From a story narrative, Chris' campaign is fully focused on him having some PTSD, with the second chapter being a flash back to him losing most of his squad. Speaking of that, so far we've had squad mates for the majority of the first two chapters, really giving the Gears of War vibe.

It will be interesting if we can knock out chapters three and four next week, because we really flew through the first two chapters.. .granted we had some deaths and had to figure out how to get through some action set pieces. Oddly enough there aren't any puzzles, which certainly helps in getting through things!

After Iceman had to go, we loaded up Forza Horizon 5 to knock out a few things, I've been playing it casually off stream the past few days, so it's basically it is a throw too game. And considering the late night streams because of work, it's easier to play it than Fall Guys!

 Work was aright getting one complete interview, which made me feel productive.

Got a new office chair, as I want to have the recliner for guests when they are hanging out with my on stream. I have to hook up the backrest to the arms because the chair has some weird instructions.

Did a bunch o yard work yesterday morning, and I really need to look into a permanent solution to dealing with grass and other plant life. My Uncle Freddy says get a bunch of weed killer.

Our next stream for Thursday night will begin at 9:30 PM and we'll lead off with DC League of Super Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace. From what I understand it will be a short, so we can pair it with Street Fighter 6 and do some head to head matches.
