The Quarry and other notes

Tonight's stream of the Quarry ran longer than I thought, but we did knock out chapters three through seven, and lost Emma and Jacob in the process due to... bad choices being made. Chapter 7 with Laura certainly was a long chapter, an I did remember various things from my PS4 playthrough such as cutting off Dylan's hand when he gets bit. The plan is to continue The Quarry on Thursday's night stream, and potentially we could finish it then if I choose to extend the stream.

Wednesday's night stream is planned to feature Journey to the Savage Planet with Iceman, if he's available. If he's not, then we'll continue The Quarry

For the raid we went over to who was playing Baldur's Gate 3 and Paladins

The Quarry Achievements
  • Chapter 3: Completed Chapter 3
  • Chapter 4: Completed Chapter 4
  • Reactionist: Activated 15 Interrupts
  • Just a Flesh Wound: Saved a friend from infection
  • Chapter 5: Completed Chapter 5
  • Chapter 6: Completed Chapter 6
  • Bizzare Yet Bonefide: Listened to the podcast
  • Chapter 7: Completed Chapter 7
Work was solid, pretty even if not to spectacular.

Didn't finish the Star Wars commission story I had slated for today, so I'll be working on that before I go to bed.

Had to swap controllers for the Xbox Series console due to stick drift issues, which meant I had to get two back ups.

Good night!

Cyberpunk 2077 and other notes

Hi everyone,

Had a job interview Today which I think went well, if I get the job it would mean three days of guaranteed work with potential for more, plus the possibility of keeping my current job, which would be pretty cool.

Work was really solid, 7 interviews in 4 hours, so I'm well ahead of productions on the assignment, even if talking to Trump supporters got real tiresome last night because their stupidity was on full display.

Tonight's stream featured Cyberpunk 2077 and boy does this game have some settings that should be on from default, in fact the archive version of it will be missing the first 30 minutes because I didn't not turn on the censor to cover for how I designed V.  That said, there is a lot to do and the dialog is very well written, I'm probably going to struggle a lot with the skill trees and various little nuances of the game, as combat feels a bit weird.

This might be a game that could end up being dedicated to on only Saturday nights because of its open world and vast nature. We'll see how I feel about it over the long run.

Cyberpunk 2077 Achievements

  • The Fool: Become a mercenary.

For the raid we went over to twitch.tv/sweetlindir where Paladins was being featured

Did some writing yesterday on the Resident Evil short story commission, and I'm really considering putting in some dark little twists to it to really separated it from the official continuity while staying true to it in key areas.

I will admit, I did not feel like making anything when I got back home from my day out, not lunch or dinners, so I just order out form Papa Johns and basically covered three meals with that (Lunch and Dinner for today, plus lunch or dinner for tomorrow)

Next  stream is slated for 9:30 PM Eastern over on twtich.tv/fredcasden and will featured more Cyberpunk 2077, we'll hope for more action and see how badly I screw things up.

Have a good night!

Terminator Resistance Is Perfectly Mediocre

Hi Everyone,

Tonight's stream certainly ran long ending at 2 AM, which was longer than I expected but Terminator Resistance proved to be a mediocre game that was just interesting enough to see if I could get further than I did, as I knocked out about 10 and a half chapters, and there are 28 chapters in the game (from near as I can tell). The game does look good, but it's fairly straight forward. There is a nice progression to the story, but all the sneaking around goes against everything I normally do when playing most FPS.

Now of course we're playing it on the lowest possible difficulty to give ourselves the best chance of actually making it through the game while doing as many of the side quests as possible, and let me  tell ya, I would not stand a chance playing on Normal, there are too many variables and  keeping an eye out for the enemies is rather  tough since it impedes how quickly you can move.

I do like the few references there are to the Terminator films, such as being able to name a dog Max or Wolfie, and the entire story being based around the early infiltrator units is interesting.  I could do without the lock picking gimmick, as it reminds me too much of Fallout 76!

Terminator Resistance Achievements

  • Close Call: Escape from Pasadena with other survivors.
  • Journalist: Find a note.
  • Handyman: Successfully craft 5 items.
  • Not a Mission Priority: Complete a side objective.
  • Easy Money: Successfully open 10 locks.
  • Helping Hand: Successfully hack a Turret.
  • Taste of Your Own Medicine: Get an enemy killed by a hacked Turret.
  • Contact: Make contact with the imprisoned Resistance Soldiers.
  • Hasta la vista, baby: Destroy your first T-800.
  • Coming Home: Find the South Division’s Resistance Shelter.
  • Tinker: Upgrade your weapon.
  • Researcher: Take at least a ‘good’ photo of an enemy.
  • Hacker: Successfully hack 10 devices.
  • Blackout: Destroy a Skynet Outpost.
  • Priority to Me!: Complete 5 side objectives.
  • Efficient Killer: Kill a Terminator using a Termination Knife.
  • It’s a bird...: Destroy T-800 Flamethrower by shooting its fuel tank.
  • Historian: Find 10 notes.

For the raid we dropped in on SweetLindir who was playing Paladins over at twitch.tv/sweetlindir

I accidentally deleted all of the Plays of the Game for Overwatch this month... now you might think they go to my PC's recycling bin, but I do the Crtl-Del.. DAMN!

Finished the Mass Effect short story commission finally... it was really a disjointed mess by the time I finished.

Out next stream on Tuesday night will be at at 9:30 PM Eastern and we'll continue Terminator: Resistance, with my first goal being to take down a massive enemy so I don't have to worry about behind stepped on

So we'll see you then over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Social Links In Persona 3 Portable

Good morning everyone,

Work yesterday was alright as I finally had a complete interview for the client that is giving us work, granted I think I screwed up slightly, but getting a complete interview was a nice boost to my confidence.

Last night's stream of Persona 3 Portable saw us pick up in the aftermath of Shinjiro's death and Ken basically making his vow to not let what happen be in vain, which evolved his Persona, in addition we saw Fuuka's Persona evolve as well because someone moved away. This is kind of a weird way to show the companions evolving their powers having nothing to do with being directly linked to the main character, which gives things a rougher feel in comparison to how in Persona 5 Royal everything felt as if these payoffs were more important to the character development.

Still we covered basically all of October getting within striking distance of the next Full Moon, at the same time we made great progress on several of the Social Links, completing Yukari's while also nearly finished with Fuuka's. Some of the stories with the secondary characters have been really hit or miss, such as I wouldn't want to deal with Kenji's story every again, while Mamoru's story hits a bit close to home with details that are revealed. Then there is the weirdness of Tanaka's and Nozomi's stories which has me going what the hell!

We did pick up two achievements, Going Nova was basically the result of boosting one Persona's strength to max and getting to do an all out attack, and I'm rather pleased with getting over 50% of the Compendium done, with all the fusing I've spent time doing. At this pint I have 66% of the the game's achievements. Persona 3 Portable shall return on Monday.

Persona 3 Portable Achievements

  • Going Nova: Deal over 999 damage in 1 attack.
  • Moderate Bookkeeper: Register over 50% of the Compendium.

For the raid we dropped in on sweetlindir who was playing Paladins over at twitch.tv/sweetlindir

Also, Happy Birthday to long time friend of the channel PandaSweet!

Nearly finished the Mass Effect short story commission, I would have had it done yesterday but I took a quick trip to a store to grab a couple of things. This story will be finished for today. The WWE short story commission that I picked up a few weeks ago has been shelved because I was not thrilled with the added changes the client wanted. They know what I'm comfortable writing and they pushed for things I wasn't going to budge on.

Tonight's stream will be starting at 9:30 PM Eastern due to work, so that means no Fall Guys, so we'll be jumping into Resident Evil 6 with Iceman

So on that note we'll see you tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Learning about something devasting...

Good morning everyone,

As everyone knows, at 9 PM I typically take a break during my streams, and as of late in addition to just stretching my legs, grabbing a snack, I've been checking up on my mom seeing if she needs anything. However last night, I learned something... devastating. My mom has cancer, stage IV lung cancer. She was a smoker, but she quit years ago. I'm just torn up inside... because my mom without question is the strongest person I know in terms of her will power. Hell I'm scared out of my wits. And what I'm going to ask does not come easy.

About a week ago, because of what turned out to be related health concerns and costs, we set up a Go Fund Me for my mom over at https://gofund.me/6adf8354 if could spare a little bit to help, we would greatly appreciated. All funds would go directly to my mom to help cover medical costs and related expenses.

Of course during the stream, we were playing Final Fantasy XIV, we finished The Carrier Quests to get the PostMoogle hat, which just looks stylish with the Squall attire from Final Fantasy VIII. Also did the variant dungeons for the first time, was lucky to find a group after a 1/2 hour wait. Also discovered that there are some loose side quests that popped up in areas that I cleared already, but I'll go back for them after I finish the side quests in the areas added in Endwalker.

Twitch Clips

For the the raid, we dropped in on SweetLindir as they were playing Paladins over at twitch.tv/sweetlindir.

Work was surprisingly good yesterday, as I helped closed an assignment that was struggling, so that felt good.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Beginner Combo #2, Uppercut Combo #1 and Advanced Combo #1 for 34 minutes. We did hit the 40 hour mark with Martina.

What do you call an empty can of Cheese Whiz? Cheese Was.

Song of the Day: Sugar, We’re Goin Down by Fall Out Boy

For tonight's stream, we shall be playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night, with the goal being focused on Chapters 5 & 6 of the story mode, plus trying to beat some of the scores I've already placed in Free Dance mode.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Always finding something new in Final Fantasy XIV

 Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream started with Final Fantasy XIV as we got back to side questing, by clearing out all the side quests remaining in the areas introduced to Shadowbringers. I still have to level up Carpentry up a major way to unlock a few other little quests in one of those areas, but all the main side quests are done. I then found myself back at Revenant's Toll finding more 'A Real Reborn' side quests there, and two interesting ones. The first being a tie in to Minfilia's death to wrap that up with a pendant being buried, and the other was a quest where the player becomes a stooge... I mean carrier in training for a PostMoogle (aka a Postman). That opens up a series of side quests that actually adds lore and content to minor, yet key NPCs the player meets in their journeys. Looking forward to going through those.

We also did a bit of Overwatch 2, as we were joined by PandaSweet to take a little advantage of the Double XP Weekend. I picked up one play of the game as Brigitte which was cool.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on SweetLindir as they were playing Paladins over on twitch.tv/sweetlindir

How did I spend Thanksgiving day you may ask? Well I did put in some more play time on Vampire Survivors in the late afternoon before the stream. When you know how to wait for certain items things it makes several runs incredibly easy to do. Now I also played it after the stream... and guess what? We completed it, every achievement was unlocked. My Xbox gamer score is at 95,000.

Vampire Survivors Achievements

  • XII - Out of Bounds: Reach minute 31 in the Gallo Tower after unlocking the Randomazzo.
  • XIV - Jail of Crystal: Reach Level 99 with Pasqualina after unlocking the Randomazzo.
  • Fuwalafuwaloo: Unite Vento Sacro and Bloody Tear.
  • Bracelet: Survive 30 minutes with either Gallo or Divano.
  • Tri-Bracelet: Evolve the Bracelet and then the Bi-Bracelet.
  • Candybox: Discover every standard evolution and union.
  • X - Beginning: Reach Level 99 with Antonio after unlocking the Randomazzo.
  • Seal: Banish 10 or more weapons in a single run.
  • XI - Waltz of Pearls: Reach Level 99 with Imelda after unlocking the Randomazzo.
  • Sir Ambrojoe: Defeat a total of 6000 Stage Killers.
  • Queen Sigma: Complete the Collection.
  • Tiny Bridge: Reach Level 80 in Inverse Gallo Tower.
  • Reroll 5: Reach Level 100 with Sir Ambrojoe.
  • Victory Sword: Defeat 100000 enemies in a single run with Queen Sigma.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Body Hook Combo, Weaving Combo #1 and Beginner Combo #1 for 28 minutes.

Who can jump higher than a house? Pretty much anyone.

Song of the Day: Yellow by Cold Play

For tonight's stream we're starting up Persona 4: Dancing All Night, which is the final game in the Persona dancing trilogy. From what I understand, it's story mode is more of a visual novel so this should be fun in that regard.

So on that note we'll see you over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Overwatch 2's Troubled Launch

Good morning everyone

Well Overwatch 2 got off to a rough start with massive queues, disconnects and general problems but once we were able to get in we did have a lot of fun. I racked up six plays of the game as Moira, D.va (2), Torbjorn, Brigitte and Symmetra. Big thanks to LvStrkr for being apart of matches, and we queued up as role queue, so we got to be Tanks, Damage and Support fairly evenly over the course of the matches.

I did want to see if I could get the achievements on the Xbox side of things that I already unlocked on the PC side but had no luck logging in last night, but was able to do so this morning. Oddly enough only one achievement unlocked... proving that not everything was syncing up.

In regards to all the problems Overwatch 2 had, I do believe they all could have been prevented had the developers at Blizzard paid attention to the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker last year and actually try to make sure server capacity was up to the task, instead of waiting to the last minute and launching the 'registered phone number' fiasco that was announced at basically the last minute last week.

Oddly enough Blizzard's officials said they were experiencing a massive DDoS attack... but it was not stated on official notification feeds, but on the personal accounts of those officials. This further compounds an issue of transparency, because if they announced that was the issue then a lot of us (myself included) would have been a lot more understanding

Overwatch 2 Achievements

  • Decked Out: Collect 50 unlocks for a single hero.
Now because of the issues with Overwatch 2, the stream actually opened with Smite, and we got in a few matches as Nike and Aphrodite. I do love 'The Sparrow' skin on Nike and how it's basically a glorified Green Arrow reference in terms of how it looks. Never really understood how Aphrodite skill set, but i needed to play a game as a mage.

Also worked in some Paladins as well, big thanks to PandaSweet for some matches in it. Had a really good Team Death Match as Ying racking up 16 Kills pretty easily. Of course the usual issues with Paladins rear their ugly head with bad team composition.

Twitch Clips:

Big thanks to PatDes_ following their stream of SnowRunner over at twitch.tv/PatDes_!

For the raid we dropped in on PowerThumbz who was playing Fallout 76 over at twitch.tv/PowerThumbz!

Work positivity sucked yesterday, I don't know why the hell I keep getting saddled with this one assignment, it's not like I'm getting much progress beyond just getting possible leads other people can follow up on. I'm dreading looking at today's assignment chart.

Song of the Day:Never Be Like You By Flume

What do you call it when one cow spies on another? A steak out!

What happens when a frog's car breaks down? It gets toad!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Straight Combo #2, Intermediate Combo #2 and Hip Shape Focus Combo for 28 minutes.

Many people are saying Aaron Judge is the 'true home run kind', but last I checked the single season record is 73. Aaron Judge only hit 62 home runs, and there is no way he's hitting 12 more today which is the last way of the season.

If you're looking for tools to help with streaming or communicating from home with work, check out what Xsplit offers over at Xsplit.com, use the promo code CASDEN to save 10% on your order! If you're looking for just general stuff, of course you can swing over to Amazon using my affiliate link: https://amzn.to/3L8N1Yj.

For tonight's stream the plan is to play Fallout 76, and unlike last week where I roamed around for several hours, I intend to focus on quests I already have started.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

So We Played Doctor Who The Lonely Assassins

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream opened with Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins, which is a visual novel styled game that acts as a revisit to the episode Blink from the 10th Doctor era, where the player is interacting with Osgood through an in-game mobile phone, with a series of puzzles to determine what has happened to a man named Lawrence who has apparently vanished. Lawrence himself, was also in the original episode Blink, so the connects were very strong. While the game play elements were rather minimal, the story was really good, and some of the use of the Weeping Angels was actually really well done.

Perhaps the cool thing about this little game is that a number of Doctor Who alumni appeared in it, with Ingrid Oliver as Osgood, Finlay Robertson as Larry Nightingale and the use of archive footage of David Tennant as the 10th Doctor. Jodie Whittaker provides a few lines as the 13th Doctor at the very end (if everything was done correctly). There are a number of references to some other parts of Doctor Who's history which made for some great call backs.

Time to complete the game took about 2 hours and 45 minutes, so it's a short game, but if you catch it cheap, it's worth checking out. Also fair warning there are a couple of jump scares, or at least things that will make you take a long hard look at your screens when they happen.

This does lead to the usual discussion regarding Doctor Who video games, as we haven't really seen many over the past 17 years. There were a few during the Matt Smith years there decent, and a couple of mobile ones during Peter Capaldi's era, but for a show like Doctor Who never got the care and attention like so many other sci-fi franchises. But then again, considering the incompetence of the BBC, I'm not surprised...

Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins Achievements

  • Well, That Was Rude...: Declined Osgood's call.
  • We've Got a Game...: Accepted Osgood's request for help.
  • First Clue: Congratulations, you found your first clue! Many to go...
  • Mo's Apology: Found a message from Mo apologising for his outburst.
  • An Old Friend: Read any of the messages from Sally Sparrow.
  • How Strange: You received a rather unusual call from Lawrence.
  • Never Run When You’re Scared!: The plot thickens as Osgood unlocks more of the phone for you to explore.
  • Call it a Day, Mr Nightingale!: Received a threatening phone call from Mr Flint.
  • There's Something on the Phone!: Discovered the source of the corruption on the phone.
  • Master Persuader: Persuaded Marguerite to resend the download link.
  • Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey Stuff: Found out Natasha has been sent back in time by the Angels!
  • Not Your Average Police Box: Found all photos of the TARDIS hidden throughout the game.
  • Don't Blink: Found the Doctor's warning of the Lonely Assassins.
  • Lawrence's Plan: Discovered Lawrence's plan to confront the Angels.
  • Saving the World with a Disco Ball: Angels? What Angels?! You helped Osgood defeat the Weeping Angels lurking at Wester Drumlins.
  • Happy Ever After: Unlocked the hidden ending by completing all tasks listed in the operations log.
Now we didn't just play Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins, we also played some Paladins as we checked out characters that have skins from RWBY, namely Vore (Ruby Rose), Imani (Yang Xiao Long), Saati (Blake Belladonna) and Furia (Weise). Of the four characters, I have used Furia before, in fact I played her a lot when the character was first added to the game. In terms of the designs, Ruby and Weiss look great... Blake is kind of average... and I have no fucking clue what they were thinking with Yang, but they did her dirty. One big positive here is that the voice actors from RWBY recorded lines for their characters, so the charm of some of the things like Yang's puns were in full effect.

On a side note, I had some good moments as Vore and Saati...while trying to re-learn Furia was a real challenge... on the other hand, I couldn't get a handle on Imani what so ever.

Big thanks to the viewers for kicking in 300 bits last night, I know I say it every time, but you are awesome for the continued support.

Twitch Clips

For the raid, we dropped in on YrGamerBunni who was playing Mass Effect 3 over on twitch.tv/yrgamerbunni!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Triple Combo #2, Front-Back Step Combo and Defensive Combo #2 for 28 minutes.

Messed around a bit with Overwatch 2 last night, mostly to check out Moira's new kit... and I'm not a fan to some of her nerfs while feeling mixed about separating her biotic orbs into two different abilities.

Mail must have arrived super late because I often check for deliveries twice... anyway, I did redeem some loyalty points I had with Square Enix to get a Life is Strange Before the Storm figure set of Rachel Amber and Chloe Price.I will try to remember to show it off later tonight.

The goal for tonight's stream is to knock out two more story arcs in Persona 4 Arena, plus we'll do an arcade run or two as well.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Mavel vs Capcom, Black and the Rage of Paladins

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream lead off with Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes EX Edition on the original PlayStation. Part of the reason why because of Maxamillion_Dood (twitch.tv/maximilian_dood) posting a video claiming how it was a version of MvC that no one played... which is not true because I intetionally went out of my way to track it down to put together a collection of Japanese exclusive Capcom fighting games on the PlayStation. We went through the Arcade mode twice as Morrigan and Gambit, messed around with the Cross Over mode which actually saw Shadow Lady being used because the A.I. selected them. We also figure out a few things involving use of the 'Special Characters', who can act as counters and compensating for some of the main roster's limits. This game will be counted on this years tour as well.

We also played Black on the PlayStation 2, and it is still a good looking game from 2006, thankfully it has multiple difficulty settings... but I found it a bit odd with some of the control layouts, no sprinting (that I could figure out), and no reason sense of direction. Action sequences can be pretty epic from what I saw. Maybe we'll give it a dedicated attempt of finishing it at some point. Black does have one of the dumber starts up to a game I have ever seen with a start screen followed by a near 5 minute movie style intro of a black screen with text displaying who was involved with the music and live action sequences before the main menu is displayed.

Then we jumped to the Xbox One to play some Paladins, and we were joined by PandaSweet.... we did not exactly run into the smartest group of randoms, who were either disconnecting from matches, intentionally making selections of characters that did fit the need of the team. You don't see me get angry often, but Paladins was a bad way to end things last night.

Twitch Clips

For last night's raid we dropped in on TracyDoll who was playing Friday the 13th: The Game and Evil Dead: The Game over on twitch.tv/tracydoll!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Left-Right-Step Combo, Triple Combo #1, Double Combo #2 and Body Straight Combo.

With how badly Paladins went during the stream, I felt motivated to play some Smite. mostly Arena matches. More losses than wins, but at least it nothing was sabotaged by stupidity.

SMITE Achievements

  • Combo Breaker: Shut down 10 killing sprees in qualifying matches.

It's the start of a new week, which means we shall recap what we did last week which included Overwatch, Chrono Cross; The Radical Dreamers Edition, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Persona 5 Royal, Black, Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes EX Edition and Paladins!

For some reason the Mariners are taking a chance on Justin Upton in a desperate attempt to add some life to their line up. What is it with teams trying to squeeze anything out of guys who are clearly at the end of their careers these days in Baseball?

Finished another commission story request yesterday afternoon and I get another one this morning, this time to be set in the Star Wars universe. This is going to involve some very loose interpretations of the lore.

Happy Birthday to the late Doreen Mulman, who ran the Ghostbusters Fan Forum 20 years ago. They were the first site to ever host artwork and fiction that I wrote, obviously related to Ghostbusters.

It was a community game night

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream lead off with Paladins, and it was your usual mix bag of wondering why random players choose not to do the basic things, like getting items to increase their chances of actually being of use. We were joined by PandaSweet and Beltizar for several matches of fun. I did end up playing the new character, Lilith, for a bit, and I think I understand her kit, her LT can either be used to heal a teammate or damage an enemy, while her LB can activate an AOE of healing for the team or damage for the enemy, depending on who standing in it. Also her special abilities drain her health, so a bit of a balancing act is needed when using her her.

Then we switched gears and played RiffTrax: The Game, it is your standard JackBox Party game but with short film clips where we can be the like of Mike, Crow T Robot and Tom Servo (as those involved with the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 are involved with RiffTrax). Apparently not all clips are from typical Public Domain source material as there were clips from Charade which starred Audrey Hepburn. Boy in the Bubble which featured John Travolta and Son of Hercules included... the last of which being a film that was riffed on in the original MST3K era! We had quite a few folks join in the RiffTrax fun so we may do more of it in the future!.

On a side note, while I unlocked the first 18 achievements playing against other players, the remaining 12 I was able to knock out solo with the use of a web browser and my cell phone, making it another game for 100% completion.

For last night's raid we dropped in on Oldish22 who was playing Path of Exile over on twitch.tv/oldish22!

Considering the fun we had with RiffTrax: The Game last night, I'm strongly considering its predecessor 'What The Dub' for a future expansion on things to do with the community.

James Harden is being roasted all over the place for being a shell of his former self, and I have a feeling we won't see him a 76ers Uniform next season.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Uppercut Combo #1, Intermediate Combo #2 and Waist Shape Focus Combo.. We did do some extra exercises as well, since we are grinding for the final achievements... plus keeping myself at a nice and steady mid-240 lbs.

Got another request to do another commission request based around an old WWE story line. I  think I have some note still from a few things Kristi and I did that could put a nice twist on things.

I am scratching my head trying to understand why the Padres picked up Robinson Cano... what does he bring to their team? It's not like he's going to regain his form from before he was busted for PEDs.

It's the start of a new week, so let's look back at things from last week which featured Overwatch, Chrono Cross, Smite, Star Trek Online, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Persona 5 Royal, Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Exercise, Paladins & RiffTrax: The Game!

For tonight's stream we'll be kicking off the new week with Overwatch! So we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Tekken, Dark Angel and Paladins

Good afternoon everyone, and happy mother's day to all the moms out there,

Last night's stream was a triple header, featuring two games from the PlayStation 2 era, the first being Tekken 4. As most know, I have played Tekken, Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 before on stream, so it was a matter of time of getting around to it. Visually, it holds up rather nicely, but I feel that its game play is not as good as the 3rd entry in the series. I was surprised that has a Story mode which is basically an arcade ladder that has a a long cinematic to advance the story for the characters you go through it as. Beyond that it has all the usual stuff, Tekken Force, Survival, Training Mode, etc. Because of Tekken 4 has unlock able characters, I think going through Story Battle might be a good way to randomly feature every so often.

Second game was Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse, which is a hack and slash RPG... I would say almost Diablo like to some degree. Released rather early in the PlayStation 2's history, this is a game that clearly would have been better on the original PlayStation. In fact during the stream I looked up that was being made for the Dreamcast. Game play wise, it's easy to learn, but is incredibly shallow. Visually it's just mediocre, but the music is a bit disappointing because when the music plays it sounds great, a kick ass metal style, the problem is the game goes long stretches without any music, which really takes me out of the game. Also I forgot to get a screenshot from the game, but nothing of value was loss since it is a game I can easily just throw into the PS2 at some point in the future.

Paladins was the usual nonsense, I've had some good matches and some matches that made me shake my head, plus several instances of people leaving matches. Bug we were joined by PandaSweet for several matches which made things awesome. Some characters I used was Ash, Tyra, Skye, Viktor and Ying.

For the raid we dropped in on purrpl3panda  who was also playing Paladins over at twitch.tv/purrpl3panda

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Beginner Combo #2, Block Combo and Sway Back Combo. This was an unusual combination, but the combined time was over 30 minutes.

Finished another commissioned fic early this morning (at like 5 AM) based around a short lived feud in NXT between Mia Yim and Io Shirai, since I wasn't following pro wrestling as closely as I once did, it was pretty difficult to get something finished based around what little info I could find, and I certainly don't have the time to go watch the WWE archives on Peacock to see how these characters were being portrayed.

Knocked off the last level of Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle last night, so I now have 54 of the games 55 achievements unlocked. The last one requires the Daily Death, which I should unlock by Friday.
