Today's Notes 3/31/21

 Good morning everybody,

Last night's stream of Dragon Age Inquisition saw a big focus on side-questing with a trip to a dungeon to find some runes and parts to deal with Higher being of some sort, taking down a 5th dragon, wrapping up stuff in the Exalted Plains and finally some actually story progression with entering the Fade and seeing what really happened with the Inquisitor and The Divine in the game's intro. We also locked in the relationship with Sera, unless there is something else that will happened to throw a monkey wrench into those works.

This week's Extreme Ghostbusters episode Home Is Where The Horror Is shares a few similarities with the Real Ghostbusters episode Mrs Rogers Neighborhood, in that the house which is haunted is actually a trap, the creature the old lady in both episodes transforms into have some similar traits and the house ends up destroyed. That said this does have one of my favorite lines 'Are you Batman? No I'm His Cousin, Ghostbuster Man!'. There are also a number of pop culture references through out the episode such as Monty Hall, The Twilight Zone, etc.

Put my pre-order in for Mass Effect Legendary Edition for the Xbox, and that will probably be the first Xbox Series Generation game we end up streaming on Twitch in May... unless I choose to play Forza Horizon 4 on stream one night before then. I do wonder what will be the first game that will be Xbox Series console era game that will not have a previous generation release.

Speaking of Forza Horizon 4, here's hoping what I read about when the in-game seasons change is true in that they reset every Thursday, because getting around in the Winter in the game is a pain in the rear when it comes to finding barns and going off road.

Today Fitness Boxing 2 session was kept short because work up a tad bit late, so we cut the stretching out and went straight into a brisk 20+ minute session to keep the streak going. Didn't have a single miss today, had a few punches not quite in sync but they 'connected' enough to get credit for them.

Tonight's stream will yet another Wednesday night of ESPN Baseball on the PlayStation 2, as well be facing the Montreal Expose and Baltimore Orioles. The Expos series is a four game set, so chances we'll be lucky to get two games in against Baltimore.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Today's Notes 3/30/21

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Dragon Age Inquisition saw the wrap up of things in the Westward Approach and then out attention was turned towards the Exalted Plains where we covered everything we could until we had to head back to Skyhold to open up two expanded areas for that zone. We did tackled the dragon in the Emerald Graves, so we now have defeated four dragons, and there are six more needed to get the related achievement. We also unlocked the Stargazer, People Person and Invincible achievements.

We'll be continuing Dragon Age Inquisition tonight at about 6 PM EST, with a focus on some things related to what we were covering last night first before jumping back into the Exalted Plains.

Now Sony's trend of being any consumer popped up in a big way this week with the announcement they are closing the digital store fronts for the PS3, PSP and PS-Vita with no backwards comparability options for those systems for the PS5. Now to my knowledge new games were still being made for the Vita, so it's very weird as to why Sony would close it's store-front. The PS3 and PSP I can understand because those are older systems... but this this just reeks of Sony wanting to force people into buying a PS4 or PS5. And people wonder why I went with the Xbox One and Series for my more modern main-stream console releases.

And before you point it out, yes I do Consider the Nintendo Switch to be more of a niche system in comparison.

Speaking of which, Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Session was pretty solid, very few misses and lasted about a half hour. If I'm planning things out correctly, I'll need to do 19 more exercise sets to finish up using Hiro as the trainer.

My back up Uninterrupted Power Supply should arrive later today, because fuck knows last Friday having three brief power flickers had me worried to my wits end. I went with the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System because of it's reviews and was listed as the best one on the market on every list I could find.

And on that note we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/29/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Comcast continues to perform up to the standards I am currently paying for, as the string of nights with no issues continues. That said, knowing that Comcast owns NBC and Peacock, while also knowing they spent $1 Billion Dollars to get exclusive rights to the WWE Network raises an eyebrow when they are going out of their way to edit out content that doesn't meet their standards... which is stupid when once you consider half the stuff that already exists withing the Comcast owned libraries of movies and TV shows. Well just one more reason for me to cut off the cable service.

Last night's stream of Overwatch was mostly Mayhem matches, and big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of things. We certainly ran into some people making odd match up decision choices through out the night in relation on who to focus on. Did pick up a play of the game as Moira early on, so that's always a good thing to have a scene stealing moment!

Played more Forza Horizon 4 off-stream last night as well, getting all the qualifiers out of the way, now I wonder how often do the seasons change with the game, if it's once a week, once a day or what. If it's once a week, we might just pair it up with Star Trek Online which has been a struggle with filling out Thursdays as of late.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was streamed, and I set new personal bests in terms of estimated calories burned and time spent working out. We also knocked out the Hiro's Buddy achievement, and we need to do about 22 more exercise sets using him to get his last character specific achievement. That said, I did struggle with a few motions leading to a higher than normal fitness age score which is also ugly to see, but there is no consistency to gauge what leads to scores being terrible.

Tonight we'll be back to Dragon Age Inquisition, resuming things in the Westward Approach. I did go out of my way to tackle some loose ends in the Emerald Graves off stream, but I know there is a dragon there that we'll save for doing on stream.

And on that note we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/28/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Bit of a late post, because while I woke up at about 1 PM EST I didn't roll out of bed till like 1:30 PM EST... because well, it's Sunday.

Last night's stream of Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma had quite a few hilariously gory moments, as no punches were being pulled when it came to how characters died on particular paths. Mira certainly became a stand out character with how she literally went beyond all logic to touch Eric's heart but well... digging into his chest for his heart because she doesn't understand emotes. Then there is the Incinerator where depending on the outcome which happens, some very direct things happen. I will say this, I certainly don't care for Eric as he comes across as having far too many issues to tolerate. That said, I'm starting to see how this game ties into 999 and VLR with a number of references and foreshadowing.

Played some more Forza Horizon 4 last night, and it's amazing how easily it is to gain influence and stuff as I'm trying to do things in the order they appear but it seems like the game is designed to rush people along!

I do find it odd that the Navy is taking so long to finish routine maintenance of Vice President's residence located on the ground of the Naval Observatory. Yes I know that from time to time the Navy will ask for the Vice President to delay moving into the residence to conduct repairs and such, but it's going on three months at this point, and the US Navy is not completely incompetent (mostly, but not completely)

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Session was another long set plus a couple of bonus exercises. Amazingly, not much in the way of ducking, weaving, blocking... it was straight up punches only workout. Which means tomorrow's workout is probably going to be a killer. Still I felt I was in a good groove today, and since I've been adding some bonus exercises to when I do longer sessions it all works out right?

Tonight we will be playing Overwatch, with the usual nonsense of things, with the odds being fairly good that I'll mostly play either Tank or Support, depending on what game-modes are available.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Best of the Week 3/21/21

Here are highlights from my twitch channel (http://twitch.tv/fredcasden) for the week of March 21, 2021, which featured Overwatch, Dragon Age Inquisition, Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Music, ESPN Major League Baseball, Star Trek Online, Super Mario 3D World and Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma!

Today's Notes 3/27/21

 Good afternoon everybody,

Yesterday afternoon we had wins so strong it caused three power flickers as a result of branches touching power lines in my neighborhood... I know this because I could literally hear it happen. This is the result of some of my neighbors neglecting to maintain the trees on their property and the lower power utility, PSE&G not enforcing penalties on those customers who refuse to comply with regulations. It's as simple as that.

Anyway, last night stream was kind of random in that I selected Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury to start things off with, just to try and... it's fun little game. Those who remember my play through of Super Mario Odyssey know when it comes to 3D plat-former games, they are not something I'm good at, so combine that with the mechanics of the point of view switching back and forth from a 2D-view to an isometric view, and it's a whole new world of trouble for me. That said I stumbled and bumbled by way to the end of the third world before a new viewer named Benny asked if they could play as well, which gave me the opportunity to try and the online co-op (which can be for up to four players, local and online) and man did that get nuts as here I ended up trying to keep up with someone who knows the game inside and out. I spent more time falling behind, falling into pits and just not being useful at all. Still with their help made it to the end of the 5th world. So maybe on a random night we'll go back to Super Mario 3D world to see to if can be added to the finished games list.

Off stream last night, we set up the Xbox Series S console, replacing a busted tape deck that has been sitting on a shelf for ten years. Now with it's smaller storage space of 512 GB, it can't fully replace my Xbox One S, but the way I figure I''l use the One S for older games and things that aren't cross-generation, and the Series S for newer games and things optimized for it. The first game we put on it was Forza Horizon 4, which is a gorgeous racing game... and the load times are pretty fucking quick.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was pretty solid, with a few odd misses, but nothing notable. In addition to the daily workout, we did a couple of bonus exercises (Front-Back Step and Double Combos) just to put in a little extra, since we did two real short daily sessions this week.

The Offical Ghostbusters YouTube channel added the Real Ghostbusters episode When Halloween Was Forever, and here's an episode that has some real notorious production errors involving Peter and Egon. That said, Samhain's debut was really awesome and it's the only episode of the series that actually had a follow up years later. Also, a gag in this episode of telling Slimer a cupcake / candy is in someone's socks to get them to do something I believe starts with this episode and it is something that i know is used again in the 1989 Halloween Special.

For tonight's stream we'll be back to Zero Escape Zero Time Dilemma, with our focus being on either Team D or Team Q. Wonder what SAW like death penalties we'll see this time.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/26/21

Good morning everybody,

Well we got an announcement right off the bat as we've officially added the Xbox Series S to my stable of consoles. Now why the Series S and not the Series X you may ask. Well first off, the Series X version is probably going to be impossible to find for the better part of the next year, with the simple fact any that are manufactured and shipped off to retailers are selling out within seconds. Also, to justify having a Series X, I would need to get a new monitor to get the most out of it, and 98% of my Xbox library is digital anyway. So the Series S makes more sense

That out of the way, last night's stream of Star Trek Online saw a lot of changes. One a deleted six of my characters because getting them all caught up will be impossible, so I've kept Zagreus and Sorra as main characters representing the Starfleet and the Klingon Defense Force, plus my two 'recruit characters' which are needed to unlock some account perks and such. We also ran into a lot of people sabotaging game play when it comes to Task Force Operations, where they either go AFK for the majority of the time or intentionally do something that makes completing the objectives impossible. This is why the developers put in a Buyout option when it comes to events that often involve dealing with a TFO, because they know it's a real problem. It got so bad last night I ended the stream early

So since I had extra time, I decided to start working on getting PlayStation Network Trophies, using games that I've played before on other platforms... and the first was Saints Row The Third, and boy was I not expecting the controls when it comes to the bumper and trigger buttons to be backward. L1 is to shoot, L2 is to toss a grenade....when on the PC and Xbox versions, it's reversed, R2 and R1 are also reversed as well for whatever reason. What were the developers thinking

Today's Ftiness Boxing 2 session was a solid 30 minutes (factoring in stretching) and was more for me to get loose today, as it's starting to heat up and getting a good sweat going is a hell of a lot easier when it's warm than when it's cold.

We've added Heavy Rain: Director's Cut  for the Playstation 3 to our collection, and so another acclaimed game that we'll eventually feature on Twitch.

Not completely sure what will be on tonight's agenda, probably some things involving the Nintendo Switch, but not completely sure.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/25/21

Good morning everybody,

Comcast's streak of delivering the service I pay monthly for (or rather pay two months in advance for) continues to hold steady, as we had no stream issues last night. Then again the memory of having a customer who went to FCC is probably still in their minds.

Anyway last night's stream was all about ESPN Major League Baseball on the PlayStation 2, as we played five games last night (two against the Montreal Expos and three against the Boston Red Sox), winning 4 and losing 1. The one loss came against the Expos, and we could have had another loss considering how the in-game version of Curt Schilling baffled the hell out of me. Also went out of my way to find Terry Mullholland who was on the Cleveland Indians roster, giving me a much better option for an emergency starter than Joey Eischen. If fact we traded Eischen for Mullholland. Tempted to see if I could add Mike Williams to my bullpen.

I did do some off-stream grinding in Dragon Age Inquisition, cleaning up some quests in areas we've already covered on stream. while also getting some war table things done. Mostly done this so that the next time with stream it we're not back tracking everywhere!

Today's Fitness Boxing session was pretty solid on all fronts, a nice standard session to get us back on track from yesterdays short one. Had a few questionable misses related to ducking and weaving from the South Paw stance, not much I could do with that.

Anyway, we have a few new additions to my collections, Super Mario 3D World (& Bowser's Fury), & Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[Cl-R] Collectors Edition for the Nintendo Switch, plus Record of Agarest War Zero - Limited Edition & The ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection.for the PlayStation 3.

Tonight we have Star Trek Online scheduled, and the First Contact Day event has started, which is basically a bunch of daily activities to earn some in-game rewards, nothing major as we continue to wait for the next big installment of story content while also being amazed at how many bugs are in the game in existing content.

And on that note we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Today's Notes 3/24/21

Good morning everybody,

You ever order something, and then for an unknown reason, the delivery organization (UPS / FedEx) either delivers to a drop-off point you didn't tell them to (such as what UPS has done to NidoranDuran) or suddenly asks for direct signature (such as what FedEx did with me) yesterday. Normally this is the result of the company one is ordering from being too cautious. Anyway, gonna try leaving the door tag that was left for me signed so they can just leave my delivery.

Anyway last night's stream of Dragon Age Inquisition was focused on what side quests I could finish along before going to the next major area, the Western Approach. We tackled a dragon and covered maybe 3/4s of everything that was reachable before having to go to the War Table to open up the remaining areas. Will probably put in some off stream time with it to tackle war table stuff.

The Official Ghostbusters channel added the Extreme Ghostbusters episode Te Infernal Machine, and if there was an episode that exposed Alfonso Ribeiro's lack of voice acting range, it's this one, as he has some very bad deliveries of Roland's dialog throughout the episode.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was kept under 30 minutes as it was more of a get up out of bed and get loose kind of set today. It's Wednesday so basically today's session reflected that. Still I was mostly on point, and had one questionable miss off of a left jab that made me go 'huh' with extreme annoyance.

Loaded up Animal Crossing New Horizons this morning as well, because it's Skye's birthday, and I do enjoy seeing the little party sets up that take place for each resident.

Tonight's stream will be focused on ESPN Major League Baseball, as we'll be resuming the series against the Montreal Expos and I think we'll also be taking on the Boston Red Sox tonight.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/23/21

Good morning everybody,

Last night's stream had no technical issues regarding my internet connection, which would have been funny considering I finally got a call from Comcast regarding all the issues I was having. The odd thing is I laid out every detail and they had no good answer to explain the poor over the phone customer service, the fact that @ComcastCares on Twitter was more responsive, and the fact they were going to charge me for issues that was their fault. Well that is one more thing to keep in mind if issues pop up again/

Anyway we tackled a lot in Dragon Age Inquisition last night, doing character stuff for Cassandra and Dorian, while also locking in the romance with Sera. We spent the majority of the night in the Emerald Graves, which probably was a mistake as I started running into enemies much higher in terms of level requirements to deal with, and I realized that Emerald Graves is meant to be dealt with later in the game. Still this means I should have an easier go at it tonight when I go to tackle other things.

Loaded up Animal Crossing New Horizons this morning for a bit, getting around the island and so forth. Tomorrow is Skye's Birthday so I have to remember to play it tomorrow morning before doing the journal entry or tomorrow afternoon before the stream.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was a standard 35 minutes, give or take, with a few questionable misses but not as many as there were yesterday. Still rather irked about that. Didn't do an extra set, but we are ahead of last week's pace because of the longer workers out the last three days.

I've been considering doing reaction videos for my YouTube channel, problem is while technically I count as a millennial, anything that would be considered for  'First Time Watching Reaction', I've already seen, because I'm closer to being Gen X in terms of what I've seen and read over the years.

Anyway, we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/22/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was one of those nights where nothing seemed to flow to well in terms of match ups, with either horrible selections from damage-role players or just people over thinking what they should do. But we did have a lot of fun, big thanks to PandaSweet for joining in on the fun! Even picked up three plays of the game last night.

With the expansion in terms of options of what types of games I can feature on my twitch channel, the need to use a wireless controller for some consoles has popped up, and so I finally caved and got a rechargeable battery / stand for the Xbox One controller. With the strong possibility that later in the year or early next year we'll add the Series X or S to the roster, the need for a wireless controller does indeed grow.

Staying on that subject, we've added a few things to the collection with three new factory sealed Playstation 3 games, Persona 5, 007 Legends  and Records of Agarest War 2. The later of which is part of a trilogy and I'm looking for the other two games in the series at this time. In addition, two new Switch games, Overcooked 2 which was recommended by PandaSweet last night, as well as ARMS, which was the first year Switch game release that actually showed that boxing aerobic games were possible for the console

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Session was.... bad, not because it was stream, it was bad because I missed way more motions than I'm use to seeing, as I was particularly bad from the South Paw stance which almost never is the case. Sway Backs was a major problem. Still we reached a new milestone with the Heavyweight Puncher Lv. 3 achievement which is to have a total punch count of 135,000 with my exact total being 136,317. Since this was a streamed session we did three extra workouts as well so I have set new personal bests in Estimate Calorie Burns and  Exercise Duration.

Tonight we'll return to Dragon Age Inquisition, and I will admit (again) that since last Tuesday, I've been doing some off-stream game-play with it, advancing a lot of dialog by accident and doing war table stuff. Safe to say though that probably the first thing we'll do with tonight's stream is probably lock in the Inquisitor's relationship with Sera... I do wish I didn't advance dialog as much as I did off stream, as the prank sequence was a lot of fun.

Anyway, we'll see you later today over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/21/21

Good evening everyone,

No I did not over sleep today, actually I got distracted with a few things and nearly forgot to do my daily notes.

Last night we started up Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, and I can safely say this game certainly takes the elements know from the SAW franchise that were implied in various ways in the first two games and just goes over the top with them, with deadly traps and scenarios. ZTD does see the return of Junpei, Akanae, Sigma and Phi, but they are all secondary characters, and the flow chart and progression of the story certainly is more random because it's split between three groups of people. So we focused on one group last night and I think we'll keep that pattern for the next few Saturdays/

Now since we now have PlayStation 3, finding content to feature using it becomes a challenge, because my existing PS3 library either has stuff I've featured on other platforms or are games that I know I can't get much out of for a stream. So looking into the library of PS3, seeing what I can get cheap because retailers still have their inventory that they are looking to move we started adding things... probably the luckiest find so far is Lego Dimensons, finding the 'starter set', which is not just the game but the basic Lego set that came with it... and I have this dumb idea that maybe if I can find the add on sets, we can do streams where I'm putting the gimmicks together then play out the actual levels. Part of why I think this will work is that I have two web cams and I could set one to angle down at the top of my desk as I assemble stuff.... which would expose the fact that I'm not really good using my hands with stuff,  which is something I always tell people when they say to me, 'you can upgrade your computer yourself'.

I do love the fact that now in terms of what I stream has become more varied in terms of the platforms I can use, there is something really awesome about having the options to say lets do something super new, or lets go back to a prior gaming generation. Now if I could only remember to run my mouth and don't get super focused on what's in front of me, I could build some momentum.

Today marked 100 days of doing Fitness Boxing 2 (258 days since we started using the first Fitness Boxing) and thus with today's session we reached the Supreme Stamper Lv. 3 milestone, which was to perform the daily routine 100 times.  Today's session lasted 47 minutes (55 with stretching) and things were going well, didn't have any misses until late in the session, and even then at least a couple were questionable.

Tonight's stream will be focused on Overwatch as we do every Sunday, we'll do some Quick Play matches, and if Mayhem is in the Arcade mode today, we'll do that too!

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Highlights from the week of 3/14/21

Here are highlights from my Twitch channel (http://twitch.tv/fredcasden) for the week of March 14, 2021, where we featured Overwatch, Dragon Age Inquisition, Fitness Boxing 2 Rhythm & Music, ESPN Major League Baseball, Star Trek Online, Gran Turismo 5, X-Men The Arcade Game, TNA Impact, Sonic The Hedgehog (2006), Marvel vs Capcom Clash of the Superheroes, Lego Indiana Jones 2 The Adventure Continues and Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma!

Today's Notes 3/20/21

Good evening everybody,

Yup I overslept today... but hey, it's not like I had any serious plans for the afternoon anyway. Last night's stream saw no frame drops, so Comcast is staying on the ball, but getting in touch with Jerry from their Corporate Customer Service division is proven to be a damn trial in and of itself, because if they say to the FCC they spoke with me directly,, that will be a damn lie. Yes everything has been going great, but I want to make damn sure they know why I took the steps I did.

Anyway, we kicked off last night's stream with Gran Turismo 5, a racing game that featured all sorts of awesome vehicles, and I was surprised at how gorgeous that game still looks. Last time I played it was back in 2013, and it was a real joy. Now remembering how to corner and the fact that acceleration and break are not the triggers on the controller meant there was some interesting moments of me going off track.

We then jumped to X-Men the Arcade Game, doing a complete run using Dazzler, and I did start an online lobby, and near as I can tell it all still works. Granted no one stumbled into my game, so we couldn't see if that worked and what the latency would be like, but hey we had fun going through it.

Now I did say we were going to try Sonic The Hedgehog 2006... and while I remember beating this game way back in the day, I clearly don't have the patience to deal with the horrible camera angle and very loose controls. The fact that Sega rushed Sonic 06 into the development and basically merged it with another game they were working on in a desperate attempt to celebrate the Blue Blur's 15th anniversary was very much exposed by the fact that the games in the franchise that came out after it like Sonic Generation and Sonic Forces are far superior by not trying to do as much. Of course we did have a bit comedy with the fact that Sonic 06 is not listed on Twitch, which goes to show how Sega feels about it.

TNA Impact, the game that could be blame for driving Midway out of business was also featured last night, and for a game that was hyped to be like WWF No Mercy, I can safely say TNA Impact after all these years is nothing more than an arcade style wrestling game like the WWE SmackDown games. With a clunky control scheme and perhaps the stupidest gimmick match in wrestling history (Ultiamte X), it's a good game for a laugh and that's about it. That said, it does have a story mode... and maybe we'll suffer through that... who knows.

Marvel Vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes was also on the lineup, as part oft he Marvel vs Capcom Origins collection, and it was certainly a struggle to get through the arcade mode, thanks to the input reading the game does at various points. Still we got through it, with Ryu and Chun Li after trying various combinations, and there is something excited about getting through games like that. Maybe cause it was an arcade game first and thus every time you loss you had to put a quarter in to continue, so when you finally beat you are super pumped!

Lastly, we closed out with a little Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, which was released about the time of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I remember not liking this one as much as the first Lego Indiana Jones game and never finished it, so maybe we'll do that in full at some point, question is do I lay the PS3 version or the Steam one.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Session started late because I did over slept, bit we did do a 45 minute workout, which meant seeing and hearing how Hiro acts during the No Mercy mode. and his voice actor really didn't get into delivering his lines. Still we burned a lot of calories... and now it's time to gain those calories back with dinner!

Tonight we'll be starting up Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma, the final game (as of this writing) in the series, so looking forward to seeing how the plot and details of what's going on is revealed!

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 3/19/21

Good morning everybody,

Last night's stream of Star Trek Online was all over the place, with doing at least one thing for every character, so some folks were doing full missions, others short patrols or special task force operations. So it was rather blah... that said, there was issues with STO's servers last night, and I know it was on Cryptic's end because out side of one blip there were no noticeable frame drops during the stream... so Comcast had their shit together.

On a side note, the mission Destiny on the Klingon Defense Force side is bugged to hell to the point where every time we left Kahless' ship it said to continue from an earlier point. It did mean we could farm some melee kills as it related to dealing with one of the Klingon Recruit objectives... so that was a positive.

Tonight's stream will be focused on putting the PlayStation 3 we received recently through its paces for an extended period of time. We'll start with Gran Turismo 5, do some racing and such and probably bounce around to a few different games. The whole point is to see if it can handle heavy use, as thus far I've done a few minor things, getting some of the games I had digitally installed and so forth. Basically tonight is gonna be random.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 sessions was pretty good outside of performing right weaves from the orthodox stance, just couldn't really get that good bounce for that today. We did reach a new milestone with the Heavyweight Puncher Lv. 2 achievement, which involved reaching a total punch count of 130,500, with my exact total being 130,791 at the time of this writing.

My job set out word that anyone who got vaccinated for COVID-19 will have the option to return to work at the office, granted I haven't yet, but there is no real incentive for me to want to go back to the office as a) it's expensive to travel and b) I hate being around a large group of people (and for me anything more than 5 people is way to damn much. Plus I take public transit to get where I need to go...  and yeah, if you've ever been on a bus in New Jersey you know the mutants you can see on it. The only up side is that certain assignments would be easier to do at the office, but the down side is over powers that.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Today's Notes 3/18/21

Good morning everybody,

So Comcast Update, I again tried calling the Corporate Rep that tried to reach me on Tuesday afternoon (outside of time times I told them that I could easily be reached) and again got their voice mail. thankfully yesterday's work day and last night's stream didn't have any issues of note.

Last night's stream of ESPN Major League Baseball saw six games being played, two wins over the Detroit Tigers, two wins and a loss against the Kansas City Royals and a win over the Montreal Expos. I joke that my Philadelphia Phillies are so far ahead of the Atlanta Braves in the National League East (and 18 game lead) that I could probably simulate the next month of the season and still have a decent lead. I think though that I would continue to play every game up till we clinch the Division, then simulate the remaining games in order to get to the playoffs. We'll see, because even at doing six games a week it'll take a while to even get to that point.

Also Last night I finally tested the disk drive of the PS3 off-stream we recently acquired, and it reads discs find, however it is a little snug in terms of inserting the disk and ejecting them. This was noted to me before I received it, but other than that it does work fine. I was reminded at how long it takes for things to be installed on it when trying out Gran Turismo 5 last night (and how unnatural the controls feel after years of playing kart racers). Also we did give Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe last night, doing an arcade ladder run with Scorpion. There might be some trophies that I could possibly get with some of the older games to boost my PSN score which is nice to know.

Over on the Ghostbusters Youtube channel, two episodes were added yesterday, The Scaring of the Green from the Real Ghostbusters series, and The Luck of the Irish from Extreme Ghostbusters. Both episodes revolve around Saint Patrick's Day, and kind of revolve around the same plot as the decedents of those who stole a pot of gold are pursued by a ghostly force (a Bog Hound in the RGB episode, a leprechaun in the XGB one). The funny thing is, by putting both episodes up yesterday, that means the episodes for both series are now out of order so we'll see if that gets fixed retroactively or not down the line. Also kind of a cool note, The Scaring of the Green first aired November 16, 1987.... and The Luck of the Irish first aired on November 3, 1997... real cool that these episodes aired nearly 10 years a part!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was solid, kept focused on the task at hand, only had one miss. Because by the time I started my workout, there was no an opportunity to start working on doing Free Exercise's with Hiro as the trainer, but we'll get to that probably over the weekend.

Tonight we have Star Trek Online planned
as per usual for a Thursday night stream, and so we'll see how things go, as last night's stream of STO was plagued with issues that all traced back to Comcast.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

We were joined by PandaSweet for many matches in Overwatch this evening, and I branched out a little playing as a wider variety of character...
