Sea of Thieves and o ther notes

Tonight's stream saw us playing Sea of Thieves for the first time since 2018, and we were joined by Iceman and Striker for the adventures. Took awhile to remember how to play it, but once we got our sea legs, things went pretty smoothly, with the exception of not realizing how and when to raise the sails when closing in on an island! Also picked up my first achievements of the year!

Sea of Thieves will be our co-op game on Wednesdays for a good while.

Tomorrow night we return to Persona 5 Tactica and the blitz towards getting the final achievement in that game.

For the raid we dropped in on zonesama as Cecilia Littlewing was hosting a stream of old cartoons!

No work again today, and there is the question of if even unemployment will be an option because of how screwy the first half of 2023 was. Granted I'm a better spot financially than I was a year ago at this time.

Finished the Spider-Man story commission and it turned out rather well linking Danika Hart with Screwball in the continuity of stories. Currently in the middle of writing a WWE related commission story that is turning into a bit of slog to write. 

We had a package arrive with three new Funko Pops for the wall, they are of Allen Iverson (Philadelphia 76ers) , Bobby Clarke (Philadelphia Flyers) and Batgirl (from Gotham Knights). I would like to add at least two full rows

Casually Doing Brotherhood of Steel Quests

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Fallout 76 did have two partial interruptions, but the stream was not split into multiple parts. 

Anyway, a big focus was gradually doing the Brotherhood of Steel quests, which should be done well after anything involving Foundation and the Crater, but hell, the game as no real continuity as far as I can tell when it comes to getting things done. There were a few intense battle situations as it seems like enemies were hitting a lot harder this week, and I have made up my mind that I don't like Knight Shin.

Beyond that, a lot of challenges were done as I got banged out quite a few to gain several levels on the scoreboard. Sure I used what Atoms I did managed to acquire to boost a few levels, but hey things were done.

Big shoutout to Iceman for being apart of the weekly fun, as we started back on getting some of his main quests done, which does mean revisiting things I've done. Considering all his help with The Division and The Division 2, it's about time I get to act as the back up support!

Finished writing the Bella Twins commission request yesterday, and promptly got another one based around Star Wars Force Unleashed which I have not played. Good thing there is a partial transcript online I can use to piece something together. 

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Difficult Challenge Combo #2, Block Combo and Difficult Challenge Combo #3 for 34 minutes. My timing felt a bit off today, as I had more misses than normal when it came to Left and Right Uppercuts from both the Orthodox and Southpaw stances

The 76ers announced they plan to have a privately owned arena in the Fashion District of Philadelphia... but I can almost guarantee that's not going to happen, because 20+ years ago the Phillies tried to get a stadium built in the same area and it was shot down hard by the city.

Xfinity was really under performing this morning as I had a number of issues and connection hangs.

Finding Them Level 7 Tech Skills

Good morning everyone, and let it be known I woke up at like 6 AM for some no reason.

Anyway last night's stream of Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers edition saw a big focus on side questing after I dealt with defeating all of the dragon gods, which meant finding nearly every ones level 7 tech skills, and dealing with Dario and Criosphinx . Thankfully the Battle Boost meant these encounters were a lot more less worry-some than my play through of the original version of Chrono Cross last year. We also recruited the final characters that can be picked up in a single play through (Orlha and Turnip), which leaves seven characters that require two additional runs of the game to get (Nikki, Kid, Korcha, Razzly, Mel in the 2nd run, while using the 3rd for Pierre and Harle. Yes for those who don't know there is a way to finish the game with Harle in the party, it just require going after one of the other endings after Serge and Lynx trade bodies.

Of course last night's stream wasn't without its issues as we had two stream resets, which resulted in 5 minutes of loss footage, so there will be two VODs in the YouTube archive added for last night... with one being 25 minutes long and the other being over 4 hours long. Near as I can tell the issue was not with Xfinity.. at least with the first interruption.

For last night's raid we dropped in on Kalenal who was playing Final Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/kalenal!  

Clippy turned out to be quite useful for my stream in terms of both doing shout outs and being a way to have clips play when I take a break. 

Played some Smite last night, getting three wins all as Discordia in Arena mode. The reason for playing only as Discordia for a bit was because of the weekly challenge of playing three matches as a Roman god. 

It's speculated the 76ers will not offer James Harden a max contract deal... and considering how he's played, that's the smart move. If he wants to continue his career as a big money earner in the NBA, Harden needs to prove himself.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Straight Combo #2, Hip Shape Focus Combo, Difficult Challenge Combo #2 and Difficult Challenge Combo #3. Also since today's workout went 45 minutes you can kind of guess what isn't happening today.

But since I got yet another WWE fic commission request to work on, this time based around the feud between Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss in early 2021. I certainly was not watching during that time period, but I have a wicked idea that could be quite interesting.  

Speaking of WWE... I'm wondering if the whole Sasha Banks and Naomi 'walk out' is a shoot or not, because lets be honest, Sasha has a history of throwing temper tantrums if she didn't get her way, and Naomi has basically been protected because she was on Total Divas and married into the Anoa'i wrestling family.

It was a community game night

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream lead off with Paladins, and it was your usual mix bag of wondering why random players choose not to do the basic things, like getting items to increase their chances of actually being of use. We were joined by PandaSweet and Beltizar for several matches of fun. I did end up playing the new character, Lilith, for a bit, and I think I understand her kit, her LT can either be used to heal a teammate or damage an enemy, while her LB can activate an AOE of healing for the team or damage for the enemy, depending on who standing in it. Also her special abilities drain her health, so a bit of a balancing act is needed when using her her.

Then we switched gears and played RiffTrax: The Game, it is your standard JackBox Party game but with short film clips where we can be the like of Mike, Crow T Robot and Tom Servo (as those involved with the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 are involved with RiffTrax). Apparently not all clips are from typical Public Domain source material as there were clips from Charade which starred Audrey Hepburn. Boy in the Bubble which featured John Travolta and Son of Hercules included... the last of which being a film that was riffed on in the original MST3K era! We had quite a few folks join in the RiffTrax fun so we may do more of it in the future!. 

On a side note, while I unlocked the first 18 achievements playing against other players, the remaining 12 I was able to knock out solo with the use of a web browser and my cell phone, making it another game for 100% completion.

Considering the fun we had with RiffTrax: The Game last night, I'm strongly considering its predecessor 'What The Dub' for a future expansion on things to do with the community.

James Harden is being roasted all over the place for being a shell of his former self, and I have a feeling we won't see him a 76ers Uniform next season.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Uppercut Combo #1, Intermediate Combo #2 and Waist Shape Focus Combo.. We did do some extra exercises as well, since we are grinding for the final achievements... plus keeping myself at a nice and steady mid-240 lbs.

Got another request to do another commission request based around an old WWE story line. I  think I have some note still from a few things Kristi and I did that could put a nice twist on things. 

I am scratching my head trying to understand why the Padres picked up Robinson Cano... what does he bring to their team? It's not like he's going to regain his form from before he was busted for PEDs.

It's Friday the 13th

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV saw a few raids, a trial and leveling on a couple of alternate roles (Fishing, Botany and Lancer). We actually used the Dancer in one of the Alexander raids, which was interesting. We also spent a lot of time in the Crystalline Conflict, I should learn and get more comfortable with other roles than Bard for it, because I'm a sitting duck whenever an enemy gets in close. Granted I more often than not get a fair amount of assists, but being able to brawl may be more helpful. Also figuring out how to do a character portrait for when a CC match starts was a lot more trouble than it needed to be.

Also during the stream got a call from work to let me know we're in another awkward period, but that call happened during a period where I couldn't quite do a BRB, so I just muted my mic.  

Another weird thing was that I ended up having two bowls of grapes, I normally just have one at the start of the stream to make sure I have some fruit, but I wasn't feeling having anything sweet following the mid-stream break.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Body Uppercut Combo, Body Hook Combo and Triple Combo #1. But as you can tell since this post is being done in the afternoon, today is a workday that has no work... so we did some extra exercises as well.

Well at 12:08 AM Eastern Time, I got the final achievement in Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle to complete that game Friday the 13th of May of 2022. You can be I'm proud about the perfect timing!

Also played some Smite before bed, and I managed to get Thor's second achievement, both of Persephone's achievements which completes the Queen of the Underworld update content, and one of Morgan La Fey's achievements. I have to say I do like what I figured out with Persephone, as it was the first time I've used her in a match, which happened to be assault so it was randomly selected. I feel I understand Morgan's abilities a little better, but her second achievement is going to be near impossible for me to pull all as it involves building her passive by using all her abilities on one character.

The 76ers lost to the Miami Heat last night... and clearly that is probably Doc Rivers last game he'll coach for Philadelphia, because I can't imagine him not being the obvious scapegoat. A 5-Stack In Overwatch? Awesome Sauce

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's Overwatch stream was a lot of fun as we ended up with a team of five! Big thanks to PandaSweet, BloodyClown, BangBangBang and Beltizar for being apart of the fun. We had a fair amount of wins and a lot of matches ended up being pretty good. I ended up with two plays of the game as D.va, In addition to D.va, I ended up using Reinhardt, Ashe, Cassidy, Moira, Ana and Mercy throughout the night. Perhaps one of the bigger highlights was when the 'It Goes With Everything' challenge point reward was redeemed, which (thankfully) lead to a clip of Guile's Theme from Street Fighter II playing. That clip is listed below.

The next Overwatch Rremix event will start May 17th, which is the day the current Beta run for Overwatch 2 will end. Big thanks to BangBangBang for letting me know about the news. Apparently the remix skins will be for Hanzo, Lucio and Symmetra, which the second chance to earn skins will be for Mercy, Ashe and Sigma.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Straight Combo #2, Difficulty Challenge Combo #2, Hip Shape Focus Combo and Difficult Challenge Combo #3. Set a new personal best with Difficult Challenge Combo #3 with 698 perfect actions out of 704, with the remaining 6 being just OK.

The 76ers won last night to tie up the series with the Heat, and I know the playoffs should not be considered, but Embiid is showing how much of a difference maker he is. Unfortunately, much analytic-minded voters didn't look beyond a stat sheet and instead named Nikola Jovic the MVP.

My daily death streak in Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is up to 9 days, we need 4 more for the final achievement of the game.

My Fantasy Baseball Team batted a combined .179 (40/224), with 5 Home Runs, 16 RBI, 4 Stolen Bases while scoring 21 runs. My pitching staff threw 40.1 innings, with an ERA of 4.91, winning 3 games with 1 save while striking out 36 batters with a WHIP of 1.51. Needless to say everyone played like garbage. Here's hoping for a better week.

Played some Smite last night and tired out Apollo, not sure exactly what the best combo of his abilities are.Safe to say I died... a lot. Still got an achievement out of it so that's good.

The Okumura Boss Fight Sucks

Good afternoon everyone,

Well last night we had yet another marathon session of Persona 5 Royal, however we timed things right last week to where we basically jumped right into the fifth palace of the game, the space port, and knocked it out in about four hours. We got to see Haru's splash card for calling an all out assault, plus her showtime with Morgana, in addition we saw Ann and Yusuke's showtime move as well. We also finally started catching up on some of the Confidants, maxing out Makoto's and we locked in the romance with her, because it makes the most sense... and was in no way influenced by the works of NidoranDuran. We also nearly have Tae, Yusukue and Chihaya's done as well, which will make things easier to trying to tackle so many of the other ones.

Now about that Okumura Boss fight, which apparently was even worse in the original PlayStation 3 version of Persona 5. I didn't mind the wave of enemies, but the gimmick of a time limit combined with the need of having to do group attacks was just idiotic.I also found it to be pretty anti-climatic when compared to the first four palaces of the game... even with the shock to see the shadow version of Okumura killed felt a little flat considering how things are foreshadowed.

Last night showed how much of an impact Joel Embiid has when he was cleared to play and lead the 76ers to a dominating win over the Heat, giving the Sixers a chance to climb back into the series to possibly tie it at two games a piece on Sunday.

The Phillies game for today has been rained out, and so there will be a double header tomorrow. Needless to say the weather all over the country has not been kind to my fantasy baseball team this week, when I have to factor in all the rain outs that have occurred over the past couple of days.

I have one more achievement associated with completing all the puzzles in a level, but I'll save that one for tomorrow.

Where we are in Chrono Cross; the stupidity of Conservatives who are Pro-Life

Good morning everyone,

We had a great night of Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers edition, as we covered everything from Water Dragon Isle up through recruiting Radius. I did try to strategize a lot to preplanning for all the boss encounters by stocking up on various elements since we had to go through a dozen boss battles, not to mention various puzzles at some points. The real disappointment of not having more achievements based on dealing with bosses is real downer, as it puts a stronger emphasis on doing multiple New Game Plus runs. We also experienced major instances of frame rate dropping within the game during some sequences and battles. I do want to put some serious work in using Sprigg in battles to try and build up enough of a roster to try and recruit Janice, but this does put me at a heavy disadvantage. Of course what would make that easier is finding the Forget-Me-Not-Pot in Chronopolis, but that is much later in the game.

Also discovered another glitched achievement in this game upon reaching the labyrinth in Fort Dragonia... so this will certainly warrant another play-through to deal with the glitches and bugs on the achievement front... to go along with getting 99 stars and going for all the alternate endings.. Also I see a lot of notes about the Battle Boost system... which is a bit odd to me, but I will probably make use of it when facing the end boss of the game. On a side note, I looked up in my journal that it took 10 streams to finish Chrono Cross last year, tonight will be night four for the Radical Dreamers edition so we're about on the same pace.

Over 20 years ago, George Carlin did a stand up special that basically formed my view on abortion, you know the one, the one that points out the obvious that most of the people who are against abortion are people one would not want to fuck in the first place, that these people are anti-woman, wanting live babies to raise them to be dead soldiers, that these people do not want to help in anyway with the raising of these kids, and I can give a big example of that, because my younger brother went to the Head Start program, which was constantly under threat by conservatives in the early 90s to have its funding cut.

The argument of life beginning at fertilization, and that the unborn is more valuable than the woman whose body is at risk has always bothered me. If a woman wants to have a baby, that their choice. If they want to have an abortion, that is their choice. It is that simple, And for those who want to bring up the 10th Amendment, let's remember that most of the states below Maryland were fighting in favor of slavery, which is their attitude towards women. Oh they can't have slaves, so instead they want broodmares... in short, forcing women into slavery to birth children that the conservatives refuse to assist with!

And let's not forget how so many 'Anti-Vaccine' morons, mostly men, are saying that 'My Body My Choice' only apply to them, and how hard they fight for the 2nd Amendment, even though guns have resulted in an every increasing year after year death toll, particularly in and around schools.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily work out featured Beginner Combo #1, Front-Back Step Combo and Uppercut Combo #2. This was also the 666th consecutive day of working out I've done since starting with the original Fitness Boxing in 2020. Granted its day 508 of just Fitness Boxing 2, but we'll get to do the 666 joke again in 158 days, which is like October 8 of this year. Knocked out a commissioned fan fic based around the WWE's Mixed Match challenge yesterday, and it's always nice to get paid promptly for things like that. I really should set rates for things like that though.

Managed to knock out a bunch more achievements in Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle following last night's stream. The game does have 55 achievements and I already banged out 45 of them, so I guess we'll go for the full completion at this point. Granted one of the remaining ones requires a lot of luck in getting (a golden toilet seat), and another requires playing the 'Daily Death' 13th times. Getting those consecutive kills in Murder Marathon was rather mind numbing, but hey as of right now I just have to grind out the rest to get to 1000 kills.

The 76ers loss the Heat last night really shows the huge difference Joel Embiid makes when he's not available. Their failure to beat the Raptors in Game 4 and again in Game 5 is certainly going to be the defying games of post-season, no question about it.

Covering Most Of September In Persona 5 Royal

Good afternoon everyone,

Well last night's stream of Persona 5 Royal did not last 10 hours, as we covered most of September (well from September 2 through the 17), which meant we saw the Hawaii trip and Morgana's crises of confidence as well as seeing how Akechi 'sees' how the Phantom Thieves enter the cognitive world. We also were introduced to Haru, who already had her Persona unlocked, and also the issues with her father and fiance. I suspect next week's stream will feature the next Palace, since its already easily accessible, so hopefully it'll be as straight forward as Futaba's was.

We did take two trips into Mementos, because I really screwed things up in terms of seeing what should be done where, but we did make progress on several fronts with a few of the confidants, dealing with Tae and Mifune's battle quests. I have to remember to spend an in-game afternoon at the flower shop the clue for a Mementos quest, plus hang out with progress several other confidants. Oh and for those wondering, the date scene in Hawaii was with Makoto, because it made the most sense, So I believe we might go that route for the romance option, Haru is just introduced to late in the game for me to consider her at this point based on what I know about the game's timeline and how I've screwed up pacing out a lot of the other confidants.

I saw the opening title preview for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and it looks good, at least the Enterprise looks like the Enterprise from the original series and not that bastardized piece of CGI trash from the JJ-Trek films.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured.Hip Shape Focus Combo, Difficulty Challenge Combo #3 and Difficulty Challenge Combo #2.Kind of a different line up, but issues I had to deal with earlier in the week forced me to do a two-exercises daily routine which probably threw everything off.

While we continued the daily streak, one could see that as work picked back up for me, that cut into the amount of time I was putting into exercising each morning.

The WWE fired another batch of wrestlers yesterday, the biggest surprise being Dakota Kai... how do they not have anything for someone who proved themselves to be extremely versatile is beyond stupid. 

Joel Embiid was injured during the 76ers game six win over the Raptors and its out indefinitely. That basically makes it impossible for the 76ers to contend with the Heat in the next round of the playoffs which starts on Monday.

Messed around with the Xbox One version of Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle following the stream last night. I have played the Steam version previously, in fact I dedicated some major stream time to that version. We might feature it on stream just for the hell of it at some point.

What Did We Do Last Night In FF14?

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV started off with a fairly good run of the Aglaia Alliance Raid, where I surprisingly didn't die over and over again until the final two boss battles. Also did The Mother Crystal trial for the first time in a long while, and I totally forgot how that goes as I basically got whacked all over the damn place.Played two PVP matches, winning one of them and ranking up to Bronze 3. We did some fishing and finished all the job quests associated with that role, so not it'll be leveling up for the sake of leveling up. I do have to say I am not keen on the spearfishing gimmick.We also put in some levels on Botany, up to level 41, so that will now be my leveling focus, and we also gained a level on Lancer.

Now I know some folks will wonder why I have no issue with the grinding in Final Fantasy XIV, but I have a problem with the grind in Star Trek Online. The answer is simple, nearly everything as a story attached to it in FF14, even if you have to grind to the levels to see the next part of it, while in Star Trek Online, there basically is no side story to speak of. 

Also made sure my subscription was in place through August 5th, don't need to work about that until the end of July. Woo-hoo!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Block Combo, Straight Combo #2 and Sway Back Combo.

Gears 5 had an update with the removal of its Map Builder feature, but it has been announced that two achievements associated for it will be unlocked for everyone. That is how things should be. Hopefully that will set a trend going forward.

Work was rough yesterday, when the assignment chart saying one thing, then when I was about to start it was changed to something else, which meant I had to take time to set things up... I hate it when stuff like that happens.

More Overwatch 2 Beta Notes, because of the increase in pace of play some characters feel a lot more slick, Mercy in particularly feels very smooth and not as labored as before. Lot of Lucio players are going to be wall riding on maps with open ledges, so I bet really good Widowmaker, Ashe and Ana players will probably serve as good counters. The more times I see Orissa the more I think she's going to get some big time nerfs by the time its released. I'm really unsure on how Bastion's ultimate is supposed to work, you can't really aim it. 

The 76ers got their act together to put away the Raptors in Game 6 last night... now if they did that earlier, they could have gotten more rest before facing the Heat in the second round.

My fantasy baseball team is having a decent week as I'm ahead of my opponent in eight different categories. Here's hoping that momentum stays in my favor for the rest of the week.. 

I'm not saying I'm for Amber Heard, but I am saying I'm totally against Johnny Depp because Depp is taking full advantage of his fans packing the court room.

It's Not Meant To Be Binged

Good morning everyone,

Last night I had the stupid idea of just pushing through and grinding out the second half of the season mode of SmackDown 2: Know Your Role... and from where we left off at on Saturday, it took six hours to do, sure I took three breaks, but damn, the horrible 'simulation' of matches screens really bogged things down. The good news is all the important characters are unlocked, with the exception of Michael Cole, who no one cares about. Still I'm never doing the Season mode of this game on stream ever again, it's just not worth the effort. Of course one could easily say 'it's not meant to be binged played', and you're kind of right, it's not when one considers how much time is wasted skipping the matches we're not involved in.

Now of course there were a few oddities , we started using The Rock, and every match he was involved in some how was linked to included Vince or Shane McMahon, resulting in awkward three watch matches also including Road Dogg and then Mankind. We switched to Lita to go for the Women's title, became number one contender and didn't get a title match until No Way Out, losing a ladder match to Ivory because I couldn't remember how to win a ladder match. Then there's of course the long stretch of intergender matches I had to play as Lita, resulting in a match against Shawn Michaels, who let's face it, is more of diva than Sable.

Then there was the Royal Rumble match and the long...really long loading of each new entrant... and it really exposes the rushed mandate of getting SmackDown 2 out in stores so soon after the initial game back in 2000. For everything good about SmackDown 2: Know Your Role, the limitations of the original PlayStation hardware really justifies the idea of just wait for the next console to come along... and considering how SmackDown: Just Bring It turned out as being half the game SmackDown 2 was in terms of features and content that probably would've been for the best.

Now because of all the time dedicates to unlocking all the hidden characters on stream,I was going to feature SmackDown 2: Know Your Role again next week, but because the WWE has blocked the archive version on my YouTube channel because of some of the titan tron footage that the game includes...we're just going to scrap those plans.

Did some ocean fishing in Final Fantasy XIV last night, got my level to 41. which means we'll have a couple of fishing quests to do on Thursday's stream.

Managed to track down a copy of WWE 2K15 for the Xbox One... why? Easy achievements... plus the game is out of print, so it was a used copy, might as well get some use out of it right?

I'm not sure I understand why conservative outlets are trying to justify Putin's invasion of the Ukraine... oh wait, yes I do, he controls Trump who they all worship. Fucking idiots. 

Ben Simmons is going to try and use the Philadelphia Sports fans as justification for the 76ers to pay him the money he basically forfeited by not fulfilling his contract obligations and faking a mental health issue. He doesn't have one folks, what Simmons has is a lack of mental toughness issue, which is exposed every signle day.

For tonight's stream, Gears of War Ultimate Edition will be featured around 9 PM, but before that we'll fool around with some other things.
