Sea of Thieves and other notes

Tonight's stream of Sea of Thieves was a blast as Iceman and Striker were apart of the chaos as we engaged in sea battles with A.I. controlled ships, in addition to starting the Pirates of the Caribbean story content which featured a twenty minute long fight against the Flying Dutchman. All together it was a blast to play!

Sea of Thieves will return next Wednesday.

Tomorrow night I'm back to South Park The Stick of Truth as we begin the second day of the game.

For the raid we dropped in on maximilian_dood during their stream of Tekken 5

Sea of Thieves Achievements

  • A Pirate's Life: You completed 'A Pirate's Life'.
  • Five a Day: You've eaten at least one piece of every kind of fruit.
  • Well Done!: You burned a piece of food.

Knocked out two stories today, one a commission request focused on Mass Effect, and the other was a SubscribeStar commission tier subscription request involving Superman.

Now the next commission request is based on the anime / manga Fairy Tail, which I know nothing about, but was requested to be written as an alternate universe story, so I pretty much can establish the personalities.

I have gotten into the routine of going up to the living room to watch Red Dwarf as I make lunch / dinner. Something minor, but it means I'm making use of the Amazon Fire Stick that I moved upstairs.

Good night!

Agents of Mayhem Is Finished, How Was My PSE&G Bill $80 Higher Than Expected/!

 Good morning everyone,

Yesterday, with the help of my brother, the couch, the large tv, an exercise bike and other items were removed from the basement, giving me a lot more room to work. I still need to get the deep freezer out as well, but that's going to happen sooner or later.

Also found a box of CDs in the deep freezers, which means I'll need to get more CD binders than I was anticipating to get down the line.

In a bit of a shock, when I finally got my first bill from PSE&G in my name, I was shocked as hell to see it at $255, when I paid $163 in January and $186 in February when it was under my mother's name. Needless to say I was caught off guard by that amount. And the past 30 days wasn't much colder than than previous two months.

Last night's stream of Agents of Mayhem saw us covering the final two story arcs... and the fact that Agents of Mayhem can and will adjust the difficulty on the fly to make things more difficult. Thankfully a trip back to the Ark allowed for the difficulty to be lowered to make sure the final boss fight would go fairly quick. Now there is a post-credit open world, it's set for grinding out every character to get to level 20, plus do other tasks... but I'm not going to dive into that. Maybe as a lark we can re-install Agents of Mayhem just to do a bit of achievement chasing down the line. We'll see

Agents of Mayhem Achievements

  • Hello, Ladies: Collect all agent vehicles.
  • Through the Looking Glass: Complete "Operation: Madhouse".
  • Fall of Babylon: Complete "Operation: Damocles".
  • Not Technically a Golem...: Destroy a golem in the open world.

For the raid we dropped in on the official Twitch channel for Mystery Science Theater 3000 while Attack of the Giant Leeches was airing over at twitch.tv/mst3k

The next big early week game we'll be playing is Hi-Fi Rush, which game out fairly recently

Picked up the remake of House of the Dead for the Nintendo Switch, will be interesting to see how that plays, since I am looking for local couch co-op games to play with my brother and cousin on stream.

It appears work will still see me on the assignment regarding hiring & staffing issues in a state controlled by Republicans... aka psychopaths.

Oddly enough, I have seen a lot of folks asking about Tekken X Street Fighter lately, which was supposed to be the Bandai Namco version of the Street Fighter & Tekken crossover. Considering how we all saw Akuma used in Tekken 7... I think it might be best that we forget about it.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Spider-Man for the PS4 Is Pretty Fun

Good morning everyone,

Work yesterday was another solid day, but they called shift early because not enough people want to work the final hour on a Friday afternoon. Still it was a productive day and I like that

Did some light grocery shopping to supplement some things, adding a couple to provide some variety to what I've been eating.

Last night's stream of Marvel's Spider-Man was a lot of fun, we're playing it on Friendly difficulty, and I could take it or leave it with the combat, while trying to keep track with a lot of enemies. I do struggle with larger enemies, to the point the Kalenal pointed out that I should try not getting hit (good advice by the way). Still, I did enjoy a lot of the game mechanics when it came to web slinging and went about getting all of the Backpacks collected and fixing all of the towers.

Basically I'm taking the same approach I had with Saints Row '22, in doing every new task first before advancing the main story. It's how I get the most out of open world games, plus it keeps me from having to think to much in regards to keeping various game gimmicks in mind.

I did run into one notable issue with Spider-Man, and that's the lack of foresight when it came to quips he says after finishing off a group of villains around the city. In fact I could swear I heard the same line three times in less than five minutes,

Marvel's Spider-Man Trophies

  • Knocking Down Kingpin: Defeat Fisk
  • Lost and Found: Collect 5 Backpacks
  • Spider-Sensible: Perfect Dodge 10 attacks
  • Amazing Coverage: All Surveillance Towers activated
  • And Stay Down!: Complete a level 1 Combat Benchmark
  • King of Swing: Complete a level 1 Traversal Benchmark
  • Wing It: Traverse across the city rooftops
  • Backpacker: Collect all Backpacks
  • The Scientific Method: Craft your first Upgrade

For the raid we dropped in on maximilian_dood as their stream was getting started, they took a look at the King trailer for Tekken 8 and tried out a randomizer for Resident Evil 2 Remake. You can check them out at twitch.tv/maximilian_dood

The plan for tonight's stream is to play Elder Scrolls Online, if things fall through we got several alternatives that we can play instead

I will not be surprised if Square Enix ends up being bought out by Sony within the next two years. Not because Sony wants to keep it out of Microsoft's hands, but because Square Enix has been and is making some of the stupidest decisions possible

On Monday, my brother and I are going to try and get a few things out of the basement through the rear doors. For sure an exercise bike and the old couch that used to be featured on my streams is getting tossed. But I need to literally clear a path to get this huge TV out of here as well. Safe to say tonight's stream will look different as a result.

Here is this weeks stats for Fitness Boxing: Fist of the North Star

  • Punches Thrown: 8224
  • Estimated Calorie Burn: 3296 kcal
  • Fitness Age: 18
  • 41% of Achievements Unlocked

Didn't do any writing last night due to the moving of furniture and stuff , but I intend to work on the Daria commission request this afternoon.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Fun night of Overwatch 2

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream was certainly filled with wins and losses, in fact there was a long stretch with a lot of losses in a row early on. Still we ended up getting on a stretch of wins too. We also had a variety of folks joining is, big thanks to PatD, PandaSweet and LvStrkr for being apart of the games. I personally picked up two Plays of the Game, one as Mei and one as Junker Queen. Other characters sued were Moira, D.va, Reinhardt, Lucio, Junkrat and several others.

Also the 3rd and 4th clips listed below are both from the same match, one ended up being Play of the Game, while the other was just a perfect combination of events leading to that match being won.

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on PradoxGamerAU who was playing World of Warcraft over on twitch.tv/PradoxGamerAU!

Talked to my dad yesterday, had a nice conversation with him that just brought forward how rough things are going to get for my mom. If anyone wants to help, you can donate to her gofundme at https://gofund.me/6adf8354.

Finished up one WWE Short Story Commission and started on a fourth, this one will feature Tegan Nox and will be based on her surprise return two weeks ago.

So that Maximillian_DOOD and the Yo Videogames crew was playing DKO Divine Knockout last night, unfortunately they were just doing 2 v 2, becuase it would be interesting to see how they would handle a 3 v 3 situation. He also did a Boss Rage for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection that I wish I could've stayed up to watch, but thankfully the twitch VODs pick up from where you last watched a live stream for a channel.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Biceps Shape Focus Combo, Difficult Challenge Combo #3 and Difficult Challenge Combo #1 for 34 minutes. Also, yesterday we hit the two year mark... and at my current pace, I should hit the 50 hour mark with Martina around December 27th, original estimate had it being reached January 1st

What did the finger say to the thumb? I'm in glove with you.

Song of the Day: Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett.

For tonight's stream, we're back to Pokemon Violet with the goal being to find the 2nd Titan to conquer it. Last week we got lost trying to find it, so hopefully we'll have better luck this time.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Tekken 7 Has an Impossible Achievement

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Tekken 7 was certainly objective focused as we went after nearly every single achievement, starting with having to face and defeat Devil Kazumi. Oddly enough the requirements to face her involved not getting a perfect round in any match.  My attention then turned to the Treasure Battles where I accomplished several achievements including getting promoted to Warrior as Kazuya. Exploiting some of the A.I.'s tendencies helped here

Now getting to fight in Special Matches in Treasure Battle involved a lot of 'luck', as every after 3-4 win either gimmick match (Turbo Speed or Double Damage) or a special boss fight appears, so it was literally just win and hope a match happens... plus hope it was someone I could beat. Thankfully the 'Special Matches' ended up being against Jin, which isn't as tough as the other possible opponents (Akuma, Devil Kazuya, Heihachi  and Devil Kazumi)

After intentionally going into Practice Mode to farm out the damage needed for one last achievement, I realized the only one left involved winning a battle in an online tournament. Problem is, good like finding 7 people to take part in a tournament, plus hoping you can beat one of them in the front round. So as it stands, I'm declaring the 'Okay! I'm Ready!' achievement as not being possible for me to obtain.

That said, we did reach get the most out of Tekken 7. so we'll be moving on from it to focus on other things. We'll probably put another fighting game in it's place.

Tekken 7 Achievements

  • Fear My Wrath: Beat Devil Kazumi in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.
  • Don't Hold Anything Back: Defeated 20 opponents of a higher rank.
  • Roar! (Nice Moves!): Got promoted to Brawler.
  • I've Finally Found You!: Obtained 50 treasure boxes.
  • Hot-Blooded Fighter: Got promoted to Warrior.
  • Wow, I'm Pretty Strong!: Won three special matches in Treasure Battle.
  • No Pain, No Gain: Dealt 50,000 damage in Practice mode.

Twitch Clips

Big thank you to Kalenal for the raid as they started playing Trials of Mana last night over on twitch.tv/kalenal

For the raid we dropped in on BestiBunni who was playing Magic: The Gathering over at twitch.tv/bestibunni!

Also thank you to RedFoxUKCov for resubscribing to my Twitch channel for the 12th month in a row!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Front-Back Step Combo, Defensive Combo #2 and Triple Combo #2 for a duration of 28 minutes.

What did the little mountain say to the bigger mountain? Hi Cliff!

Why are there gates around cemeteries? Because people are dying to get in!

Song of the Day: The One That Got Away by Katy Perry

In the world of Fantasy Baseball, one of my teams won the 5th Place Playoff series, and the other didn't. So I have a 5th and 6th Place finish for two different teams. However in the world of Fantasy Football both of my teams lost this week.

Got in some grinding on Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium last night using Savage Bees and the face you get 500,000 points when clearing stage 16. Managed to knock out 1,000,000 CAPSO, so only 69 Million to go.

Also played a bit of MultiVersus, mostly focused on doing daily quests to work on the battle pass grind. Thank goodness these things can be done via bot matches.

Already know work is going to suck because of the assignment I'm going to be on. Can only hope I'll be able to switch to something else in order to get a chance to be productive.

I'm moving some items around for my streaming line up this week, The Last of Us Remastered will be featured tonight, because hey if I start at 6:30 PM Eastern and go to 10:30 / 11 PM Eastern, we'll have a tolerable time spent trying to move forward in that game. I think I'll treat it as a 'floating game', moving it around the week based on my mood.

So if I'm playing The Last of Us Remastered tonight, will that mean I'll play it also on Friday? Nope, I plan to start up Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight on Friday because at the very least trying to beat a rhythm game will be a lot more fun than dealing with the awful controls of The Last of Us.

So on that note we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Completed All The Lore In Tekken 7 And Conquered Akuma

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Tekken 7 was certainly focused on the story, as we covered the entire story mode... and when everything is laid out... it's quite clear that every one associated with the Mishima clan is an asshole, but the only one who seems to have any justification in their actions is Heihachi, because when his wife ends up being possessed by the devil gene and tries to kill him and he basically acted in self defense... then had concerns about his son Kazuya inheriting his mother's 'gift'... sure he threw him off a fucking cliff, but all things considered, Heihachi is the 'good guy'. Sure he's evil as fuck, but justified to some degree.

Now let's talk about that 'Special' Akuma fight aka the 'Special Chapter.'... it took me three attempts, and I nearly pulled it off in the first attempt. What I ended up doing was basically waiting for Akuma to stop teleporting so that I could wail on him. So that certainly appealed to me.

In addition, we dedicated time to doing all the Character Episodes... and I was surprised to see how many were joke endings, so it raises the question is whose version of events is the true version, since quite a few endings are told from two different points of view. Not sure if I'm buying into Nina being Steve's mother are not.

We put in more time into the Treasure fights to push towards grinding towards various rank achievements and unlocking of items. Speaking of that, unlocked nearly everything in the gallery. I'm actually surprised at how much of this game I'm actually completing.

On a side note, I am counting Tekken 7 as being a game finished because we did do all the lore related stuff, but I do intend to feature it at least a couple of more times because I want to go after some achievements on stream.

Tekken 7 Achievements

  • You Think You're Tougher Than Me?: Finished the prologue of the main story.
  • Let's Do This: Finished Chapter 1 of the main story.
  • You Challenge Me?!: Finished Chapter 8 of the main story.
  • I Can't Accept This Fate: Finished Chapter 13 of the main story.
  • It's Time For You To Meet Your End!: Watched the epilogue of the main story.
  • Master Of Iron Fist: Finished the Special Chapter of the main story.
  • I Demand To Know The Truth!: Finished three Character Episode stories.
  • Lightning Of Fate: Finished 10 Character Episode stories.
  • Stun Gun!: Snatched victory from the jaws of defeat 5 times with Rage Art. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • Your Technique Is Impressive: Got promoted to Initiate.

Woke up late this morning because I forgot to take my phone off of vibrate when I was done working yesterday...

Part of why I woke up late was that I got quite a bit of writing done on the latest Spider-Man commission request I received, as figuring out how to trade back and forth between him and Silver Sable has been quite a challenge.

First night of playing Tekken 7

Good morning everyone

Last night's stream featured no issues at all, making it three in a row where the words Xfinity didn't pass my lips on stream. Of course last night's stream was dedicated to Tekken 7, and we certainly had a fun time with it, messing around with Online matches, the arcade mode and Tekken Bowling. Perhaps what stands out about Tekken 7 is the guest characters... and the fact we cleared an Arcade mode run with Negan from the Walking Dead pretty much says it all.

One thing that was real apparent is that my in ability to block consistently is something people can quickly figure out once I'm unable to keep my 20-year old approach to playing Tekken games gets exposed.  Still we actually won a fair share of matches which surprised me. Hell I love the fact the game recognizes my tenacity even if I'm put into some really bad match ups.

I do feel the achievement list for Tekken 7 is rather fair,as quite a few regards just getting an idea of how to use various mechanics and to get players to play certain modes to try things out. Now I actually went back into the game off-stream to knock out a few I figured I could tackle... with the biggest pain in the ass being the one that involved getting a 10 hit combo... somehow Yoshimitsu has a five hit combo that counts as a 10 hit (Inputs being 33221 or BBYYA on an Xbox Controller)

On a side note, I really enjoyed Ultimate Tekken Bowling, and I found it hilarious that Noctis' boys from Final Fantasy XV were there to support him when I did round with him.

Tekken 7 Achievements

  • I'll Kick Your Butt To Hell And Back: Dealt 70+ damage in an air combo. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • Don't Take It Personally: Achieved a perfect victory. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • The Prosperous Inevitably Decline: Beat Akuma in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.
  • You Fought Well: Achieved a great victory. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • This Should Be Fun: Got promoted to 1st dan.
  • Yeah! I Did It!: Won a ranked match online.
  • There's Nowhere To Run. Give Up!: Dealt 10 homing attacks. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • It's Just Business: Obtained an overall total of 5,000,000G.
  • Elegance At Its Purest: Triggered 10 screws. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • Anger Of The Beast: Dealt an overall total of 1,000 damage while in rage mode. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

  • Instant Annihilation: Won three times consecutively in Treasure Battle.
  • Not Bad: Won a player match online.
  • Excellent: Obtained an overall total of 10,000,000G.

  • Just Relax, You Can Do It: Performed three 10 hit combos. (Excluding offline VS Battle)
  • Sturdy And Indestructible: Blocked 5 Rage Arts. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on BestiBunni who was playing Magic: The Gathering over at twitch.tv/BestiBunni!

Just realized I managed to put together a 3-game streak of Xbox achievements, thanks to the fact that the last eight achievements listed for Tekken 7 were unlocked today.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Double Combo #2, Weaving Combo #1, and Body Hook Combo for 31 minutes.

My daughter thinks I don't give her enough privacy. At least that's what she wrote in her diary.

A friend of mine got into photographing salmon in different clothing. He said he liked shooting fish in apparel.

Song of the Day: Listen to the Music by The Doobie Brothers

Did put in some writing to finish the commission request for another Spider-Man for the PS4 story, figured I'd combine what I remember from the Spider-Man animated series that aired on Fox back in the 90s with what I can learn about that Black Cat's role in the game. Did manage to keep it in 'universe' with the other Spider-Man commission fics I did recently.

So you can imagine my surprise that after sending the finished story to the client last night at 3 AM that they wanted a fourth story in the same continuity, this time focused on Silver Sable. Was able to put together the intro this morning based around some pieces from the PS4 game's script. Got to love it when things go together nicely.

For tonight's stream we will be diving into the story mode of Tekken 7, and to try and get through it as quickly as possible I will reduce the difficulty. With lucky we'll cover the whole thing in one stream.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

A New Week With New Things

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch featured a fair amount of wins and losses, with some being a little more dubious than others. Did nab three Plays of the Game all as D.va, and we were joined by PandaSweet for several matches, which is always awesome. Characters I used last night included obviously D.va and Moira, put also Orissa, Torbjourn, Ashe and Soldier 76.

Of course we are three weeks away from the launch of Overwatch 2, and there is a question over when the servers for Overwatch will shut down on October 2nd. If they are being shut down late in the night, that would be great which means we'll get one last stream of old school Overwatch before the change over.

Twitch Clips

We picked up a new follower over on Twitch last night in the form of SherylCoo, and we had a fun time talking about Overwatch and my rather aggressive approach to playing as D.va.

For the raid we dropped in on TracyDoll who was playing Elden Ring over at twitch.tv/tracydoll!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Beginner Combo #1, Left- Right Step Combo and Hook Combo #2 for 28 minutes

There were no incidents on stream at all, so back to back nights of me having a perfect stream... looks like Xfinity finally resolved things

Where do spiders seek health advice? WebMD.

Song of the Day: Play Date by Melanie Martinez

Put in some off-stream grinding in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium to get to the 30,000,000 CAPSO mark. Only 70 Million more to go

Finished the Commission request for a Resident Evil 5 story, and now I have one fir another story based on Spider-Man for the PS4 one to feature the Black Cat... which is going to be tough because a) I revealed what I was planning.... and b) Black Cat does not appear in the original game of Spider-Man for the PS4, and no one has done transcripts of its DLC.

I am considering starting up the Remastered version of The Last of US for the PS4 on Friday... of course another contender is Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. We'll see what I am end up deciding.

For tonight's stream we'll be playing Tekken 7 for the first time, we'll see what I can learn in tonight as we see what some call the best game in the series has to offer!

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

The worst Upload and Download speeds I've seen from Comcast since March of 2021...

Good morning everyone,

Well last night's stream ended abruptly because Xfinity had a 90% drop in service provided. I pay for a download speed of 300 Mbps and an upload of 10 Mbps.... and when the stream got completely disrupted starting about 8:30 PM Eastern, those speeds 189 Mbps and .0 45 Mbps. Clearly unacceptable for streaming, and particularly for when I'm working in the afternoons! So I'm rather worried about work for today.

Now I did call into Xfinity, and apparently so many people were having issues accessing Peacock and Amazon Prime that they actually put an automatic message that said they were aware of customer's inability to watch Thursday Night Football. Didn't take me long to use that as an example as to why to why my service sucked. And you know what's funny I've been complaining about these issues for MONTHS!

Guess all it takes for Xfinity to get the ball moving on something is for it to be Football Season.

Still, the service drop line is being replaced on Saturday afternoon, so hopefully that will resolve my issues. We'll see if that works. On the other hand,  because of the issues last night, there was a maintenance outage in my area this morning.

Anyway, what we managed to do during the stream was continuing my quest to do all the side mission in Final Fantasy XIV, mostly in areas associated with Heavansward. I was on a cool set of quests involving a young dragon before things started going wonky.

Twitch Clips

No raid last night, but Kalenal was also playing Final Fantasy XIV last night as part of their new schedule of streaming on Thursdays. They stream over on twitch.tv/kalenal

Because of the internet issues last night, I did end up dedicating the later half of my evening to writing the commission request I received for another short story based on Spider-Man for the PS4. Once that was done and sent to the client, I got another commission request to write something based on The Last of Us franchise. I already have an idea of a set up based on transcripts I've seen of The Last of Us Part 2 cut scenes.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Defensive Combo #2, Triple Combo #2 and Front-Back Step Combo for 28 minutes.

What's the best time to see a dentist? Tooth hurty.

What's the difference between a hippo and a Zippo? One is heavy and one is a lot lighter.

Song of the Day: Ivy by Frank Ocean

Saw that Capcom has gotten the Esports nonsense out of their system and is focused on making Street Fighter VI fun. Of course all I want to know is when is Sakura going to be added to the roster! Because so far just about all of the original World Warriors are in the launch roster.

I've decided that I'll finally start playing Tekken 7 on Mondays and Tuesdays, go through the story mode and see what achievements we can unlock.Think of this as kind of like filler because on October 4th... Overwatch 2 launches and I don't want to start a big game between now and then.

Of course that is depending on if Comcast Xfinit will actually fix their network infrastructure!

If you're looking for tools to help with streaming or communicating from home with work, check out what Xsplit offers over at Xsplit.com, use the promo code CASDEN to save 10% on your order! If you're looking for just general stuff, of course you can swing over to Amazon using my affiliate link: https://amzn.to/3L8N1Yj.

For tonight's stream... well the plan is to play The Quarry and finish that. Here's hoping we'll be able to pull that off!

So on that note, we hope to see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

So How Does One Finish The Mayor For A Day Quest In Fallout 76?

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Fallout 76 was an adventure... as the entire first 30 minutes was spent just chatting because we had to wait for the a 63 GB update because of the new 'The Pit' Expansion, which meant I ended up talking about a lot of things at random..Once the game was ready, we set about knocking out many of the daily quests, plus made serious progress in the Sofia's story arc, plus other random main story quests.

Big shout out to Iceman for being apart of the fun, as we set to work on trying to complete the Mayor for a Day quest which we started last week, and we made it to the last thing that which was to upload the Robo Virus... and the problem is way too many enemies spawned and overwhelmed us. I wonder if because we were grouped it lead to more enemies appearing. I did look into this, and found there is apparently a spot where someone can hide to avoid the enemies and just have to wait for five minutes. I'll test that theory first chance I get.

Did faced down a Scorch Beast as part of the Heart of the Enemy side quest, and that got a little tense to say the least. Was glad to nab the achievement for that!

Thank you to the chat for kicking in 100 bits last night! The support is always appreciated!

For the raid we dropped in on x9abenonymous9x who was playing The Evil Within over at twitch.tv/x9abenonymous9x

Oh should note that yesterday was completely incident free, if there

I was right yesterday's assignment for work fucking sucked, and best (or worst) part is because a bunch of newbies started interviews but left them in state

The Grind to 100 Million CASPO in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium continued off-stream last night, as I'm up to 22,814,697, knocking out about 10 Million over the course of 2 and a half hours using my save on a perfect run of Super Gem Fighters Mini Mix and taking advantage of the fact that fighting games in this collection get bonus CASPO this week.

Now while I was doing that grind... I watch the Nintendo Direct and Sony State Of Play from earlier this week. The only thing that caught my attention was the Fist of the North Star Fitness Boxing game for the Switch, that looks like it could be awesome. Now it's getting a Japan only release in December... but the World Wide release will be in the spring.

Oh and Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Difficult Challenge Combo #1, Intermediate Combo #1 and Biceps Shape Focus Combo for 34 minutes.

With the announcement of Tekken 8, it probably would behoove men to finally play Tekken 7 and mess around with that.  Probably at some point should grab the Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Added the new Saints Row and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection to the digital libray on the Xbox side of things. We'll feature the TMNT collection on Saturday's stream.

So We Started Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht

Good morning everyone,

Well last night's stream ended up featuring a game from the PlayStation 2 era in the form of Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht! Ya'll might remember a couple of years ago I went looking for Episode II and Episode III of the trilogy with the intentions of playing them... particularly when I found out that Katsuhiro Harada at Bandai Namco killed the entire prospect of a remaster to continue focus on Tekken 7. Anyway, I did play Xenosaga episode 1 20 years ago... but I found it to be quite difficult to get  a handle on things.

That was not the case last night, as I really caught on to the mechanics of how the combat system works and understood that some careful puzzle solving would be needed. With that in mind I really spent way too much time grinding out a few early levels to try and give myself a tactical advantage in terms of trying to over power enemies. The combat system is turn base with chances to either jump ahead a turn or (which also applies to enemies)

Perhaps what really stands out about Xenosaga Episode 1 is that the voice acting is solid, the musical score is incredible and the visual, despite being 20 years old, still hold up. For the stream, it's presented to viewers in a 4:3 aspect ratio, but as I'm playing it, it's 16:9, and let me tell you this, a remaster would just need to involve a proper up-scaling. Keep the original ratio, but a proper HD make over would do wonders.

Now this game does have something incoming with Persona 5 Royal... in that cut scenes, story and lore can take forever. We did a 6 hour stream (not my intention for a Tuesday night), and I figure maybe 2 hours were cutscenes to move the story along... and we only just got off the Woglinde (Which again also indicate that I did spend a lot of time farming enemies to level up).

I'm really looking forward to continue it, and I think it will end up being a Saturday night game starting next week because I'm not too keen on running the PlayStation 2 more than one night a week for extended periods of time.

For the raid we dropped in on x_lumineee as they were playing Final Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/x_lumineee!

There were two small stream interruptions last night, but again the recovery was rather quick compared to previous issues. Of course at around 1015 AM this morning the internet went down fully, and I did report it directly to the Senior Tech at Xfinity.

The past, the present and the future walked into a bar. It was tense.

What did Eminem say when 50 Cent made him a sweater? "Gee, you knit?"

Xfinity Butchered A Great Stream

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream suffered a series of interruptions caused by Xfinity, which resulted in the stream being split into 4 parts. It's been a while since things were that bad to force a complete split in the stream, which meant that 15 minutes of loss footage.

Anyway last night we lead off with NFL Game Day 98... and... quite frankly I was terrible at it, in two full games played, I didn't score a single touch down. While the controls and way to play were similar to the original NFL Game Day, the game's A.I.was just brutal even on the easiest settings. Unfortunately, a good portion off footage from the NFL Game Day 98 portion of the stream is what was loss. On a positive note, NFL Game Day 98 still looks pretty good for a game from 1997. Next time I play a football game on stream, we'll jump to Madden I think

Next on the night was Bio Freaks, and once I saw and realized it was a Midway game from the late 90s, I realized there was going to be a bunch of hokey shit to deal with, mostly from the game's A.I. See Midway was notorious for having some brutal difficulty spikes in its games, and that popped up in a big way. I did play as a few characters, but the controls were rather cumbersome, resulting in some Tekken like struggles in trying to see what did and did not work.

Speaking of Tekken, we finally played Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and I am counting it as a game finished because of going through the arcade mode and then learning character endings can be unlocked via the Ghost Fight option. We spent the majority of the stream with TTT2, and while some if its difficulty spikes were a bit 'mean' at times, it certainly wasn't frustrating beyond me realizing them mistake I made when I lost. Also, this was the PS3 version of the game, so we unlocked several trophies.Also... this game has no analog movement controls which is really fucking weird.

On a side note, since we had to install Tekken Tag Tournament 2 onto the PS3, that meant waiting for a long time for that to happen. The PlayStation 3 never had great install times... then again the PS3 was not really a great system, as many developers have stated over the years.

Big thanks to the chat for kicking in 300 bits during the stream, your support is always appreciated, especially on a night when things were going wrong.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Defensive Combo #1, Uppercut Combo #2 and Double Combo #1 for 28 minutes.

I do have to finish that Star Wars commissioned story request, I did get a good chunk done on Wednesday with that unwanted day off... maybe I can knocked out this afternoon.

It's the start of a new week, so let's look back at last week with a video of everything we featured which included Overwatch, Persona 4 Arena, Cultist Simulator, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Persona 5 Strikers, NFL Game Day 98, Bio Freaks and Tekken Tag Tournament 2!

Tekken, Dark Angel and Paladins

Good afternoon everyone, and happy mother's day to all the moms out there,

Last night's stream was a triple header, featuring two games from the PlayStation 2 era, the first being Tekken 4. As most know, I have played Tekken, Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 before on stream, so it was a matter of time of getting around to it. Visually, it holds up rather nicely, but I feel that its game play is not as good as the 3rd entry in the series. I was surprised that has a Story mode which is basically an arcade ladder that has a a long cinematic to advance the story for the characters you go through it as. Beyond that it has all the usual stuff, Tekken Force, Survival, Training Mode, etc. Because of Tekken 4 has unlock able characters, I think going through Story Battle might be a good way to randomly feature every so often.

Second game was Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse, which is a hack and slash RPG... I would say almost Diablo like to some degree. Released rather early in the PlayStation 2's history, this is a game that clearly would have been better on the original PlayStation. In fact during the stream I looked up that was being made for the Dreamcast. Game play wise, it's easy to learn, but is incredibly shallow. Visually it's just mediocre, but the music is a bit disappointing because when the music plays it sounds great, a kick ass metal style, the problem is the game goes long stretches without any music, which really takes me out of the game. Also I forgot to get a screenshot from the game, but nothing of value was loss since it is a game I can easily just throw into the PS2 at some point in the future.

Paladins was the usual nonsense, I've had some good matches and some matches that made me shake my head, plus several instances of people leaving matches. Bug we were joined by PandaSweet for several matches which made things awesome. Some characters I used was Ash, Tyra, Skye, Viktor and Ying.

For the raid we dropped in on purrpl3panda  who was also playing Paladins over at twitch.tv/purrpl3panda

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Beginner Combo #2, Block Combo and Sway Back Combo. This was an unusual combination, but the combined time was over 30 minutes.

Finished another commissioned fic early this morning (at like 5 AM) based around a short lived feud in NXT between Mia Yim and Io Shirai, since I wasn't following pro wrestling as closely as I once did, it was pretty difficult to get something finished based around what little info I could find, and I certainly don't have the time to go watch the WWE archives on Peacock to see how these characters were being portrayed.

Knocked off the last level of Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle last night, so I now have 54 of the games 55 achievements unlocked. The last one requires the Daily Death, which I should unlock by Friday.

Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle Achievements

  • Jurassic Jason: Completed every puzzle level of Jurassic Jason.

A new week starts, but lets go back and look at what we featured over this past week which included Overwatch, Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Persona 5 Royal, Dark Angel: Vampire Apocalypse, Paladins and Tekken 4!
