Today's Notes 3/1/21

Good afternoon everybody,

You know when surprising things happen it always means it's a good day? Well I got a $25 Amazon Gift Card from my day job, apparently there was some contest going on that I wasn't aware of, so... yay!

Anyway last night's stream of Overwatch was nothing but Mayhem matches, we got on such a good roll that we ended up winning 9 out of the last 10 matches played! And when you factor in, these were Mayhem matches, winning can be very difficult, and we had a fairly good mix of attack and defense objectives. Big thanks to PandaSweet and Kalenal for joining in on the fun!

A lot of folks were curious about where I Raynhardt skin I've been using for Reinhardt as of late, because apparently they were not aware of the Blizzard Anniversary bundle, which will be around till September of this year. It is account wide, so even if you get the Bundle on PC, you will have the skin available on other platforms.

Staying on Overwatch, as part of the Monday bonus stream, I did feature the Nintendo Switch version of of Overwatch, winning two matches and using Moira and Lucio. There are some big differences with the console versions of the game as some things that are left click with a mouse on the PC version are right trigger with a game controller. I do wonder how Overwatch plays when the Switch is not docked.

Anyway, Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Session was obviously done on stream being a fairly long work out, with over 2000 punches thrown. We reached a new achievement goal with the Supreme Stamper Lv. 1 achievement which was to acquire 80 stamps or basically do 80 daily exercise sessions.

We also featured Super Mario Bros 35, which closes down on March 31, and I had some... not so good runs, as my timing with some jumps were way off, and I ended up plummeting to my death. Still as filler goes, Mario 35 proved to be a nice little game to have around for extra streams!

Tonight more than likely we'll be starting up Dragon Age Inquisition, playing the Xbox One version... and I think for each stream I do of the game I'm going to use lines from History of The World Part I, in particularly the lyrics from The Inquisition.

And on that note we'll se you later today over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 2/22/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was a lot of fun, and big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun as we each got the wins needed to get Reaper's new Lunar New Year event skin. We each had a few plays of the game, with mine being two for McCree and two for Torbjörn. It is funny that for so long of just being in the tank and support roles, but when saying 'fuck it', I'm going to play damage, I've developed some quirks that allow me to be very effective. Must be because I've seen so many other people play the damage role and not being involved in the front line battle. On a side note, I did get the Anger Management achievement which was to damage six enemies during a single use of Winston's Primal Rage in Quick or Competitive Play. Since I normally don't play Winston out of Mayhem matches, to actually get it was pretty cool.

This week's Real Ghsotbuster's episode was Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood, again a super creepy episode when you get into the designs of 'What' and it's Bird sidekick, but also the possessed Peter Venkman late in the episode. Some thing stood out to me was that in this episode, upon escaping the haunted house, the Ghostbusters have to deal with two lion statues that are actually blue and white ghosts, and in the Ghostbusters video game, you end up dealing with a pair of ghosts that were within the statues in front of the New York Public Library. It's an odd connection, but let's face it, it is a connection most people won't realize.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 session was solid, going 44 minutes (52 with stretching), and we reached a new milestone achievement with Super Middleweight Puncher Lv. 3 which was to have a total punch count of 96,000, with my exact total being 96,244. But since today's session was stream we did have to do deal with figuring out audio for the stream and for me to hear, which lead to some lag in what was coming through the speakers for me at first. I think I managed to get it set back up to how it was on the previous computer.

Over in Animal Crossing New Horizons, Ozzie will be leaving my island in a couple of days, the big reason why I'm letting him go is because his personality is way to similar to Sherb and Raddle's. Also finally caught a Oarfish. which made me want to catch more fish

We did do two runs of Super Mario Bros 35, and the audio lag I mention earlier was really noticeable, making it very challenging to time out certain things, particularly when having the Star invincibility power up. Didn't get a top three finish this time in either run.

Later today we'll be back on with the Xbox One version of 1979 Revolution Black Friday. and I'm not what we'll pair that up with to make sure the stream fills out to four hours, but I'll think of something.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden

Today's Notes 2/15/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Yup slept in today, because why not... but I've been up since 12:30 PM EST, part of why I was up late was because I was working on a new commissioned fan fiction project, kind of a unique cross-over. If you know where I post such things, you'll know where to find it when it's finished.

Anyway last night's stream of Overwatch was productive in that we got the nine wins needed for this week's Lunar New Year Rewards, a good portion of them came via the Capture The Flag Blitz mode. Earned one play of the game as Moira in a match where I had to spend more time playing defense than I would've liked because there was no other healers on the team. Let's be straight up, when it comes to Capture The Flag, the must needed heroes on a team are Lucio, Moira & Symmetra... because Lucio can speed boost anyone who has the flag back to base, Moira can flex from heal to damage, and Symmetra can set teleporters up from the re-spawn to the base, cutting down on travel time and set turrets up to make things a night mare either defensively or offensively for the other team.

Since it is Monday, we did a Bonus stream today of Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm and Exercise, it went about 47 minutes (56 when one counts the stretching), and for whatever reason throwing straights were a bit of a problem today, I expected some issues to come from side stepping, but it always irks me when it comes from a punch, particularly when I'm streaming the session and I can see that the punch was clearly thrown!

Popped into Animal Crossing New Horizons, and finally saw what the Festival Event was, as it's a strong reference to a Mardi Gras like celebration, where all the island residents are dancing, there are feather for you to catch, and if you turn them into the special visitor to the island (Pave) you'll be rewarded with different items related to the Festival Event. It was pretty cool, and Pave's dialog was certainly a blast to read. Now of course I have to say Hopper was the best dancer out of my island residents, then again, anyone short and chubby is a good dancer (which of course means I dance as good as I sing, which means I'm awesome! LOL!)

Also did a run of Super Mario Bros 35, which lasted about 12 minutes, and managed to pull off a 3rd place finish. We might end up dedicating a full night to it to get to level 100 before the Nintendo closes the game down next month. We'll see how things shake out for that.

Tonight we'll be back to Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, as we are in the later stages of the game. We'll be picking up at The Coliseum and going after the Hades Cup, then we got things to do in Agrabah, Halloween Town, The Pride Lands, Space Paranoids, Hallow Bastion, Twilight Town and then finally the World That Never Was. Most of these are direct boss battle encounters, so things go right, we fight finish the game tonight. We'll see how that goes.

And on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 2/1/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Well we still got snow coming down here in New Jersey today, which is just great... well not really, I hate snow. Because unless the next few days will melt it quick, snow just has a way of making things feel colder, because it's just frozen water. Give me a cold day or night without snow anytime anywhere. Anyway the tech Comcast came out yesterday, and made sure that all the new lines were good before replacing the modem. Apparently, the one I had was a model being phased out gradually, and it's replacement is the one Comcast just started to roll out in the past few months. I also swapped my two cat8 Ethernet cables to hardwired connect my Xbox One S and PC to it, so from this point the only things that should hinder my upload speeds (if anything) would be either my tier of service I'm paying for (and 200Mbps DL/5 Mbps Upload is more than enough for what I do) or my PC itself.

Last night's Overwatch stream featured nothing but Mayhem matches, and big thanks to PandaSweet for joining in on the chaos, as we had our fair share of wins and losses and general epic moments.Speaking of Overwatch, the Nintendo Switch version of it will probably be the game that will replace Super Mario Bros 35 on bonus streams because SMB35 shuts down on March 31, 2021. So featuring the Switch version of Overwatch makes sense since the bonus streams typically feature three games.

And speaking of which, we did do a bonus stream earlier, with Fitness Boxing 2 leading things off, had a nice session as most folks saw, actually did real good on Front-Back Step movements this go round, but Side-Steps were a problem.... hell I missed 8 motions today, and 4 involved side-stepping.

We did do some Animal Crossing New Horizons, I am loving that my residents are hanging out more in the plaza area, it makes finding them a lot easier day to day. Apparently Animal Crossing will be having an in-game event on February 15, I know Chinese New Year is February 12 this year, so I wonder what is being marked on the 15th?

Getting back to Super Mario Bros 35, we did one run and game in second place, only because, as usual I did a short jump that saw me plummet to my death! Still I finished in the top 3 and I'm pleased with that. More than likely I was going to lose because I ran out of time.

Tonight we'll be starting early because of a change in my work schedule, and we'll be starting up Kingdom Hearts II today. Last time I played that game was was back in like 2005-2006 on the PlayStation 2, so I doubt I'll remember much beyond the pain in the butt rhythm mini game involving the Little Mermaid.

So on that note we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 1/25/21

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was really good overall, as I picked up 5 plays of the games, 1 as D.va, 2 as Moira and 2 as McCree. Actually did a few different game modes, Quick Play, Capture the Flag and Mystery Heroes so things were a little looser than normal. The curse of running into 'new accounts' that are either too good to be actually new did rear its ugly head a few times, but not enough to be a problem most of the night. Big thanks to PandaSweet for joining in for a few matches.

While I did wake up at 11:45 AM today, we did do a bonus stream of Fitness Boxing 2, and we did had a Rough day with a fitness age of 24, as I missed 11 movements overall, most were on side-side combos. Like yesterday, some of my struggles were out of the orthodox stance, but I don't think I'll have to deal with side-steps or even front-back steps tomorrow... hopefully. We did get new achievements, Today we unlocked Speedy Sound Tester which to use all songs on 'fast' speed, Welterweight Puncher Lv. 2 which is to reach a total punch count of 60,000 Hits and also Middle Fit Fighter which was to earn 50% of all achievements. Weight in at 256 lbs today so we dropped another pound this pass week!

We followed things up with some Animal Crossing New Horizons, and did partake in CJ's Fishing Challenge which was to catch 3 big time fish in a row, which also lead to me catching 2 fish I never saw before, and the bonus stream closed out with Super Mario Bro 35, where I had two top 5 finishes, but I mistimed jumps and ended up plunging to my death. I think I could've finished top 3 in at least one of them if my timing was better, ah well.

We'll be back later tonight with Saints Row The Third and the stream will start at about 9:30 PM EST because I do have work this evening. We have a few activities to do within the game before we fully advance the plot forward. Basically the story itself hasn't advanced much since the rescue of Kinzie and recruitment of Angel, so plot points like getting the chair for Kinzie hasn't happened yet!

So on that note we'll see ya later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 1/18/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was a lot of fun, as it was straight up just Mayhem matches the entire way, got my first McCree play of the game of the year with a quad kill using Dead Eyes in an early match. Big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun the entire night!

As I was looking for some Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 games to add to a list of things to stream at some point, I saw Persona 3 and 4 for the PS2 were avaliable. Yup adding those to my collection. I would like to find the Persona games for the PS1 but those are super rare near as I can tell. Besides Persona 4 is probably the most well know game in the series that isn't Persona 5 since the characters from Persona 4 have had a spin off, it was re-released twice and was involved with BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle.

We did a bonus stream today of Fitness Boxing 2, Animal Crossing New Horizons and Super Mario Bros 35. Today's stream was a little weird as it seems like there was an bitrate drops that forced the stream to be reconnected twice, and thus for this morning there are three VODs instead of one. We did a 45+ minute workout (not including stretching) that saw my Fitness Age drop back down to 21 since nothing I did involved having to move my feet. Over in Animal Crossing New Horizons, it was Sherb's birthday, so we dropped off a spice rack for him... and we had a 5th place finished in Super Mario Bros 35.

For tonight's stream, we'll be getting back to Saints Row The Third, I think we'll do a big focus on taking care of activities from around the map before doing any main story missions, since some things will end up being easier if we have places where back up Saints can easily lend a hand from.

And on that note we'll see y later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 1/11/21

Good afternoon everyone,

Well if you've saw what happened during last night's Overwatch stream you'd may have notice we had a ton of issues as my upload speed with my Internet Service Provider (Comcast / Xfinity) was in the fucking toilet where 70% of frames were lost. I was going to have tech come out, but they called me back and did some changes remotely that seemed to have fixed things. To be on the safe side I have lowered my output through OBS to be 2/3s of what it normally was, which means I'll be streaming at standard definition. Hopefully tonight's stream of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be smooth sailing.

But here's the thing... I had no issues playing Overwatch or any online game during all of this! Just my upload speeds have been garbage!

Before Comcast / Xfinity called me back, I did do a morning stream with greatly reduced settings (resulting in a stream at 360P) and the worse video quality I've presented since 2017. We got in a good Fitness Boxing 2 workout, that lasted a solid hour, and before I got breakfast I stepped on a scale, and weighed in at 257 pounds! The weight loss continues! We followed that up with a bit of Animal Crossing New Horizons, Flick was on the island, so got him some butterflies, made the rounds with all my residents and the usual nonsense before closing the morning stream out with Super Mario Bros 35, finishing in the top 5.

As I'm typing this just go word from work that I do have a shift tonight so we'll get the stream started at 9:30 PM EST over on twitch.tv/fredcasden! So we'll see ya later

Highlights from the week of January 3, 2021

Here are highlights for my Twitch channel (twitch.tv/fredcasden) covering the week of January 3, 2021, which featured Overwatch, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Sam & Max Hit The Road, Fitness Boxing 2, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Super Mario Bros 35, ESPN Major League Baseball, Star Trek Online and Zero Escape 999!

Today's Notes 1/4/21

Good afternoon everybody,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was pretty topsy-turvy as the influx of new players or veteran smurfs wanting to troll and create new accounts because of the 'Play for free' period Blizzard put in made things pretty rough. Ended up going 4-6 in the last 10 matches played. Still we had fun, big thanks to PandaSweet for joining in on several matches as we tried to carry as much as we could. That said, off-stream I did finish getting the 3000 points needed from Rank matches to get another golden weapon, selecting Reinhardt's hammer. Also so far this year I have two plays of the game and both are for Reinhardt so there's some positives!

This morning we got in a bonus stream and of course the big focus of that was Fitness Boxing 2, as we did a Get Moving workout set on Heavy so we went for 48 minuets and that meant a no mercy set was included. The Bicep, Waist and Hip focused workouts were indeed included, and damn were some of the combinations were different  and very counter-intuitive in terms of what to do. Still we threw nearly 2000 punches today, so we had that going for us.

We also did a bit of Animal Crossing New Horizons, and once again my Island is full of residents, as we added Raddle and after looking it up, he is not wearing a mask as a reference to COVID-19, but it's part of his Doctor's appearance. So I wonder if we can get him out of the mask by giving him alternate face wear at some point. Also checked out another player's island who put in 900 hours in making their island awesome. While I'm happy with my tropical-rural paradise, seeing what others has done is always impressive.

In addition to that, we closed out the bonus stream with Super Mario 35.... and one badly timmed jumped lead to my doom. Ah well I did finish in the top 10 so not too disappointed.

Tonight we'll be back to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, as we'll work on advancing the plot a bit. Since we're level 30 it should pretty much be a cake walk to get through the Namek saga. Not sure exactly when we'll start, but worse comes to worse we'll start at the scheduled 9:30 start time.

I am wondering how any Trump Supporter can justify Trump's blatant attempt at electoral fraud which was revealed this past weekend. His actions are worse than what Nixon tried to pull in the 1970s. Here's the thing, at this point Trump has more than enough rope to...well you can guess what he can do with that rope. I'm sure at this point Melania will probably help him just so she can get the fuck out of dodge.

Anyway, on that bombshell, we'll see ya later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 1/3/21

Good afternoon everybody,

A new week begins, and of course you know that means tonight we'll be playing Overwatch on PC! I already have the Roadhog Frosty skin as it relates to Winter event, which ends this week. I still think it's unfair that that Blizzard chooses to place the event basically to be limited to the week before, week of and week after Christmas when so many people are traveling, and thus they miss out on opportunities to get the skins that require 9 wins to acquire. Still regardless, we'll have a lot of fun tonight doing probably more Quick Plays than anything else..

Last night we completed the second ending for Zero Escape 999, and of course we did it from the very start until the end. Now the ending we got, the 'Cut and Run' ending left me a littler confused over who was the one who killed Lotus and Junpei, but I suspect it's clover since she would have probably taken the scalpel from when she, Junpei and Seven went into the operating room. As I don't recall their being a knife out right anywhere along the rooms I explored. That said the only rooms I haven't done yet were 4, 3 and 2 and so that will be for next Saturday's stream just so things aren't to repetitive. This is a visual novel with branching paths aferall.

Today's Fitness Boxing session was solid, if not totally remarkable. Did reach the Super Featherweight Puncher Level 1 achievement which was to have a total punch count of 32,500, and also unlocked three new routines that weren't in the first game, being Bicep, Waist and Hip Shape Focus combos. If these are to focus in on those specific areas it should be interesting, but will I see all three during tomorrow's session, because normally when new routines become available, that's they appear in the following day's session... guess I'll just have to weight to find out.

Yes I did forget to put together the highlight reel for last week last night and I did do it today, it should be posted on YouTube by the time I post this. Since we did two bonus streams involving Fitness Boxing 2, Animal Crossing New Horizons and Super Mario 35, clips from all three games will be included to represent both streams, because that is how I roll (when not going down a hill).

And on that note, we'll see ya later for Overwatch over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

Today's Notes 1/1/21

Good afternoon everyone,

And welcome to 2021, and let's hope it's fucking better than 2020 was in every way possible.

Of course we are off to a slightly rough start, with the ending of Twitch Sings. Last night I did a fucking long stream starting at about 6 PM and going to about 2:30 AM, give or take, and we had DaemonsW0lf, Dissinger and Kalenal join in and the party. Was glad to get in some final duets, and for the record the last person I sang with was Flint_locke, who ended up doing at 17 Hour long stream, which ended after Twitch Sings closed down at about 1:15 PM EST. I am putting together a video, as a bit of a roll call / shout out to everyone I sang with and compiling that list was a pain in the butt, as there were 1438 people I've done duets with, and of course there a lot of folks I've come to know and consider friends. Of course Kalenal pointed out that I probably have the most 'earned' stars for doing solos on either normal and expert difficulty, and yes there certainly was an over lap as a lot of songs I did on normal I did do on expert, but that total being over 8600 combined stars.

I did do a bonus stream today, to get the new year off on the good foot with Fitness Boxing 2, and boy did that game make me pay for having two beers last night, with a heavy focus on body punches. There is nothing and I mean nothing more vicious than body upper cuts on No Mercy when you have to go left body upper cut, left normal upper cut, followed by another left body upper cut. Fuck that was hard to get through. We also did some Animal Crossing: New Horizons and got to see another person's Island... but perhaps the oddest moment was Audie saying she drank all the coffee on my island... and she was wired man.... I mean totally, off the chain. Of course also tossed in some Super Mario Bros 35, and came in second, where I finished in 2nd place. So yeah good start to 2021. Now I'm not completely sure what I'll be streaming tonight, if I want to start up something new or do something I know I can beat in one night. But you know I'll come up with something!

Staying on things I'm unsure about with Twitch, while Sunday Nights will remain focused on Overwatch, and Saturdays will see a big focus on the Zero Escape games (which we started last week), I'm thinking of moving Star Trek Online from Thursdays to Fridays starting next week, or dedicating Friday's to ESPN Baseball. Both games draw about the same amount of attention, so it's a wash either way. The Division 2 will be semi-reoccurring mostly based around events like manhunts which depending on things can either be a one night sprint or needing both Tuesdays and Thursdays. But outside of that, Mondays to Wednesdays will probably be dedicated to games for the 2021 tour (and yes there will be new t-shirt and mug up to match that)

And on that bombshell, we'll see you later tonight over on twitch.tv/fredcasden for who knows what!
