The Evil Within 2 and other notes

Hi everyone,

Tonight's stream featured The Evil Within 2 as we covered the end of Chapter 4, all of Chapter 5 and the open world parts of Chapter 6, finding various goodies and advancing the plot at a nice pace. Since there are 17 chapters in the game we are roughly a third of the way through it. Perhaps what gave me the most trouble tonight was a puzzle where I had to use mirror reflections to see which doors to use, which makes me glad we have all the cheats enabled since The Cold Lady was on my tail the entire way.

The Evil Within 2 will of course be on next week's line-up, scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The Evil Within 2 Achievements

  • Not Running This Time: Defeated the Guardian outside City Hall.
  • Doing Some Detecting: Collected 20 files.
  • The Team Psychologist: Found a potential ally in The Marrow.

For the raid we went over to twitch.tv/pradoxgamerau who was playing Ark: Survival Evolved

Our next stream is scheduled for 9:30 PM Eastern on Friday and will feature Horizon Zero Dawn, as I'm going to put a focus on exploring areas opposite of where I need to go. Since I know where these side objectives are might as well go for them.

Work was incredibly meh... some people were willing to be interviewed, but were disqualified for demographic reasons.

I have a job interview on Monday via Zoom, which I hope goes well

Got a pair of story commissions finished today, one Star Wars related and the other related to WWE, while starting on a 3rd commission request based on the Legend of Korra. Thankfully I have some wiggle room with it since it involved characters and details that could be consider minor at best.

Also had to cancel doing a commission request because the person kept piling on details and wanting a story done in a style I was not comfortable doing since it would involve emulating someone else.

Anyway, at the moment I'm making some pasta for Friday's dinner, so I should pay attention to that!

Good night everyone!

Xfinity Causing Problems Yet Again

Good afternoon everyone,

Well after two full days of no problems, the issues with Infinity reared its ugly head yet again with six stream restarts, one involved a full reset of the modem. I did try to piece together the whole night into one video, but that would take too long to render, and when I make videos they typically would be at more 20 minutes long, and not 5 hours. So the YouTube channel will have the uninterrupted portion of the stream that last two out of the five hours. I did place yet another call to Xfinity last night

As for the night of Overwatch, outside of getting disconnected in the middle of some matches, we had a lot of fun. We were joined by PandaSweet and PatDes for several matches. Characters I mostly used weird D.va, Reinhardt and Moira. Picked up one Play of the Game as D.va, which keeps the weekly streak going. With Overwatch 2's beta launching this week and the fact I did do the pre-order, means we should be able to experience during one of the streams later in the week (either split with Final Fantasy XIV or on Saturday).

Big thankst to YrGamerBunni for kicking in 200 bits during the stream as well as testing out some of the new sound effect redemptions!

Twitch Clips

For the raid we dropped in on jonnietortilla who was playing Ark: Survival Evolved over at twitch.tv/jonnietortilla!

I was so annoyed with the issues with Xfinity last night that instead of doing my laundry today, I did it right after the stream. Granted I don't go anywhere, so I have only one load to do, but still, I needed to take my mind off of things.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Advanced Combo #1, Sway Back Combo and Beginner Combo #2 for 34 minuets.

Back in the late 1990s, I was aware of the video game Blade Runner which was based on the film of the same name. Never played it, as the requirements for it where clearly too much for my computer at the time... but I am surprised that it basically has gotten a remake. Of all the PC games of the mid to late 90s that I'm personally aware, I would not have thought Blade Runner would be the one to get a second chance at life. That said... apparently the remake is dog shit. Who knows, maybe someday we'll give it a look since it was a game I was curious about over 20 years ago.

With Bryce Harper being placed on the injured list for at least the next 10 days, my Fantasy Baseball team is without its most contestant hitter.

For tonight's stream, I haven't made up my mind on what we're going to do, as the issues with Xfinity certainly had me really perpexed. But we'll be up to something and hopefully this will be a smooth stream this evening.

So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!
