Finished Alice: Madness Returns,

Good morning everyone,

Work yesterday just sucked, if we're supposed to be interviewing people who work in one line of work, then why is the sample including individuals who have nothing to do with the topic! Then we're told the assignment is being downed to try and figure out what the problem is... I mean I can't imagine what could be wrong about contain businesses who does drapery and plant design when the question are about kitchen & bath remodeling!

Last night's stream saw us finish Alice: Madness Returns... and the last portion took maybe a little less 40 minutes... in fact I could have finished it the previous if I wanted to stay up an extra 30+ minutes. In fact, if I really were to consider things, I probably could have one-shotted the final boss of the game with the Tea Pot cannon. Still, since we finished it, we'll continue the fun with Alice in American McGee's Alice starting on Monday!

Now we did do some other things last night, we did a few runs in Hades in an effort to an achievement tied to Achilles's story arc within the game, and we were able to pull that off with no trouble. I still have one more achievement to go in this game to get the full gamer score of 1000.

We also played some Sonic & ALl-Stars Racing Transformed, going one Grand Prix run (beating FnDanteSavage's time by two minutes), then we did some speed runs, and while I'm not quite good enough to get expert times,coming close in a couple of instances... we did discover that some of the top times were straight up cheaters. When the expert time to get around a course is 32 seconds and folks did it in less than 12, then something was clearly screwy.

Have a slight case of writer's block in regards to the latest commission request, mostly trying to deiced if I want to write it more focused on one character with the other just being used as a prop.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was highly recommended to me as a game to feature on the PlayStation side of game, I will see about making that the game that follows Marvel's Spider-Man when we are fully done with that.

A Saturday Of Variety

To say that Daylight Savings Time has already screwed with me is an understatement... I hate the switching of clocks for some bullshit reason that was already disproven scientifically!

Last night's stream ended up having a bit of a variety with it, starting with Elder Scrolls Online. Managing to close out a couple of quests started a few weeks ago. Big thank you to LvStrkR for being apart of the fun on this, but sadly, they weren't feeling well. Hope they feel better soon.

So instead of continuing ESO, I switched over to Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, working on the 'campaign' a bit, maxed out Ulala, unlocked Shadow The Hedgehog and Ryse... and really struggled on some things that I thought would be easy. Did get one achievement during it

We closed out the night playing some Smite, getting in matches as Aphrodite, Artemis and Athena, winning 2 and losing 2. Certainly rain into a fair amount of trolls with people backing out of matches, leaving during the match or staying in the spawn.

Of course with it being Sunday, that means tonight's stream will be focused on Overwatch 2, voice chat will again be in the Discord!

Something that pissed me off was people complaining about visual markers in games, sorry buttercup, but not all of us want to 'engaged' with a game on some deeper level. Visual markers are a great way to indicate where something might be hidden or where to go.

Spoke with my brother yesterday, and more than likely there will be a Saturday stream where I start a lot earlier than normal and end earlier because we'll be taking a trip up to North Jersey to visit some family up there, and it's a two hour drive there... and a two hour drive back.

Didn't do any writing yesterday, as Friday night's stream kicked my ass... that's what I get for seeing an opportunity to finish a game and going for it without realizing how long somethings might end up being!

First Day Without Mom

Good afternoon everyone, 

I went to bed at 5:40 AM Yesterday morning waking up at 8:30 AM and got on the ball contacting family and friends about mom, getting in touch with quite a few folks. My aunt Grace, cousin Frances, unacle Abraham and his wife Carmen all came to the house... and there were tears and laughter. My brother arrived with food that my aunt Hilary arranged for, so everyone ended up getting fed. My brother has done an amazing job in getting arrangements made for mom's funeral, and it's tentatively planned for Wednesday. The plan is to have mom cremated and to keep the ashes a the house, but first they need my signature to go ahead with the cremation of mom's remains.

Last night's stream, the first 3 hours were me just talking about my mom, my family, the day in general... I ended up giving a toast to mom with the beer she never got to drink. Ended up grabbing two boxes of VHS tapes, finding movies like DC Cab, Mystic Pizza and other films. 

Eventually we got around to playing a video game, namely Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, getting a few achievements in Grand Prix mode, plus taking a 2nd place finish in a match making race. So it ended up being a good night.

And thank you to everyone who was in the chat, either chatting or lurking during the whole night, and just allowing me to just talk about my mom.

Remembering How To Play Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream opened up with DKO Divine Knockout, and while I unlocked Zeus, my main go was to continue leveling up Athena as I intend get all of her unlocks first before I focus on other characters. Did have a rough night of playing overall, while we won a fair amount of matches, it seems I was being double teamed quite often! We did unlock one achievement in it, and came close on another.

Next we switched over to Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, and somehow we had a match that lasted exactly 60 seconds. Not sure exactly what happened, but it was totally weird. Had a few great captures, knocked off some in game quests.

Lastly, we loaded up the Xbox 360 version of Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed, which is a game that has been featured on my Twitch channel in prior years, but it was the Steam version. By playing the 360 version, it means I can unlock the achievements, and my progress playing the game and unlocking characters, courses and other stuff can be featured every now and then.

Now remembering how to play took a bit of remembering, as I went right to my old favorite racers Ulala (from Space Channel 5) and I totally forgot how her cart handled. Something different from how I used to play the Steam version was that I had little trouble dealing with inverted flight controls, guess I've gotten better with those aspects of gaming over the years. Even did fairly well in playing against other players in match making, granted I never placed higher than 4th, but I felt like I could more often than not finish a race in a multiplayer setting.

Mom was eating a little more solid food, in fact my day started yesterday with her saying she wanted corn flakes for breakfast. It does seem like she is getting some of her appetite back. Finished writing the 12th Mass Effect commissioned story yesterday, and was given options for the 13th episode, but I let the client make the choice of what they would prefer. I've been having a lot of fun writing these little tales.
