So I figure I'll 'probably' finish Carmen Sandiego's main campaign tomorrow (just got to get through an Ace Detective file and the final chapter), so here are my over all thought on it.
It is not as expansive as a lot of the old school "Where in the World / Where in the USA / Where in Europe / Where in Time / Where in Space" is Carmen Sandiego games, like about a dozen locations (New Orlean, Toronto, Tokyo, Brisbane, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Berlin, Cairo, Istanbul, Mexico City, Singapore and a couple others), and for the most part the clues for locations of where to go are spot on, so after a while the mis-direction doesn't always work as would in the older games.
The opposite is true when it comes to the suspects, as there are red herring clues that pop up on occasion, and you have the weight validating a clue versus continuing the chase since you are on a time limit (kinda), as there have been a couple of instances where I got hung up on wondering if something meant someone hair color was blond or brunette.
For something that was a mobile game based on the more recent Carmen Sandiego Netflix series, it's not a bad console game. The question comes down on the default price of it being $50 for the deluxe version (and $30 for the standard edition) is way over priced. Catching it on sale is what I recommend.
Note: the difference between the two versions is the Deluxe version as the 40th Anniversary content 'Where In The World?' is is more of a throwback to the older games, some cosmetic skins, and other digital goodies
