Not surprised the Phillies Lost

Good afternoon everyone,

Well let's talk about the Phillies, one could say they simply ran out of steam, but I'll just say it out right, the offense became homer happy after game four with so many guys swinging for the fences (Hoskins most notably) after Game 3. The Bullpen did all they could and then some to keep things tight to give them a chance to win, but offense failed in big situation. I said Game 5 was must win for the Phillies, and that is the game in which the series was truly lost. 

That said, last night's stream featured a wide variety of things, starting with MultiVersus, as we played as Black Adam in 2 v 2 matches to get a feel for the character. He's certainly a bruiser, but he also acts as a light-tank, as he has a shield bubble of sorts and has a side-special that is kind of similar to what some of the Assassin class characters have. The new arcade mode is pretty basic, there are three variants (East, Medium, Hard) with the big difference between the three being how many chances you get if you fail and how many fights you have to do. We did two arcade runs, all fights are 1 v 1 player versus A.I., you get one 'nemesis' fight (for Harley it's against Batman, for Wonder Woman it's Superman) and then fight a giant version of Reindog. All wins and actions perform in arcade mode does count towards achievements and battle pass progress.

Messed around with Fall Guys, and they had a Doctor Who tie in, so I nabbed a couple of its related goodies which lead to an achievement unlocking, and played a few shows. Came real close to being on winning in squad shows, just had some bad luck.

Got in some Smite, and we played 5 matches, winning a couple and losing in grand fashion. Managed to get the second achievement for Ares done, so that was a positive. Also had an epic match as Terra, just a reminder of how I can use her in Arena mode just to provide healing on the front line once she gets powered up.

Closed out the stream with with some Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, mostly Score Challenge stuff on a few games. As a reminder to anyone who was watching, yes I do indeed main Sakura in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Still it's gonna be a long road to grind out the last four achievements in this collection of arcade games.

Started writing the latest commission request for a WWE short story based on Emma's return, I think I got it off to a good start.

It's the start of a new week, so lets recap what we did over the last seven days which was Overwatch 2, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy XIV, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, MultiVersus, Fall Guys, Smite and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium!

Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight is 'harder' than Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight was interesting, because outside of the few characters that appeared in Person 4 Arena, I know nothing about how they should be interacting with one another, or the context of how they all met beyond some superficial details. Of course thankfully, Elizabeth is the 'host', which makes unlocking the social events just to see and hear what she says worth it.

But that said, the difficulty of P3:DIM is rather noticeable when compared to Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight and it really comes down to one thing: the music. Persona 3's musical comes from that early 2000s period of really high tempo songs, hell the Beats Per Minute on P3:DIM's songs are a lot more intense than anything seen in P5:DIS. Then there are the note pattern differences, and because of the style of music, P3:DIM has a lot more notes being put in rapid succession on normal difficulty. It really gets screwy on Hard and All-Night Difficulty

Now that said, I do feel overall the music of P3:DIM is alright for what it is, but outside of Burn my Dread and A Way Of Life, nothing really stands out to me as something I would want to hear as part of a playlist. It's probably more of a reflection of the era in which the original version of Persona 3 was released in more than anything else.

Still, we'll work out way through Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight over the next couple of weeks on Fridays because we should be able to get all the trophies for it. Hell we knocked out 25% of them tonight just by being able to remember how their counterparts where unlocked in Persona 4: Dancing in Starlight.

Also, tonight I unlocked my 1,000ths PlayStation Trophy, which actually points how the long gap between when my original PS3 died and when I finally nabbed as PS4.

Work was okay yesterday, nothing special, just a day that existed.

Finished writing the latest commission request for a WWE short story that 'explains' the return of Candice LaRae back in September. It turned out fairly okay. The biggest problem with writing story set around wrestling is that I co-wrote so many for so long, it's kind of tough to find a plot setup that I haven't done. Did get a follow up commission request to do one that 'explains' Emma's sudden return.

Game six of the World Series is tonight, and the Phillies are down three games to two... can they even the series against the Astros at three games a piece to force a game seven? I don't think so... we'll keep track of the game, but unless the offense is going to suddenly right themselves and Wheeler pitches the game of his career, there will be no joy in the Delaware Valley. 

I used to hate facial hair but then it grew on me.

Side Quests... They Can Be Interesting

Good morning everyone

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV focused on side questing in the areas known as Amh Araeng and Il Mheg, where we got nearly all of them done, and we would've cleared every one but I was heavily distracted by keeping an eye on Game 5 of the World Series (more on that later). Perhaps the real big highlight was completing the sub-stories that link major towns in those areas together. and it does reveal that I started some of those plot lines way back during my initial push through the Main Story Quest.

We also put in some quick level grinding on Carpentry, getting up to level 40, so I have access to the both the level 35 and level 40 skill quests. The big push for why I want to get Carpentry leveled up as quickly as possible is because there one side quest in Kholusia that requires the Carpentry skill to be at level 70.

So next time we feature Final Fantasy XIV next week, we got the two Carpentry skill quests to do and it's back to Il Mheg to clear out the remaining side quests in that area,

Work yesterday was good, but I am not thrilled with what is going to be the big assignment I'm going to be on for the probably foreseeable future. Work is work, but I do like knowing I have a chance to be productive as opposed to dreading getting nothing done.

And boy do I have thoughts on the Phillies 3-2 lost to the Astros... I said it yesterday, the Phillies had to win last night, and they blew it offensively. They had the bases loaded early in the game and failed to capitalize, and had numerous opportunities and failed repeatedly. Watching it out of the corner of my eye certainly had my fully distracted and disgusted. And now they are going into Houston on Saturday, needing to win two games. Larry Bowa predicted the Phillies would win in seven games... well, they have no choice, they have to win on Saturday and Sunday.

I'm maybe 70% finished writing the WWE short story that was commissioned recently. Depending on how long I go with tonight' stream I might finish it before going to bed, but I know for sure it'll be done by tomorrow night.

And speaking about tonight's stream, we're starting up Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, so you know we'll be going for achievements as quickly as possible. We'll use the same approach as with Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, going for ranking up all the social bonds to get some of the various perks unlocked.

Wastelander Progress Made in Fallout 76

Good morning everyone

We got a lot done in last night's stream of Fallout 76, starting with figuring out how to complete the Miner Miracles quest in order to be able to make and maintain power armor! Also knocked out the last quests needed for the Raiders and the Settlement so I could go ahead and make my choice in regards to show to side with... and I'm siding with the Raiders, because they have the more useful exclusive item. Sure I'll need to get my reputation with them up to Ally, but that gives some incentive to keep playing.

I could have sided with the Settlers because they had slightly more interesting characters, but one has to think long term with Fallout 76, and their exclusive rewards for reputation were not as interesting or useful. Plus by doing various daily things, one can get all the things.

That said, I wonder how the raid of vault 79 is going to go, as that will be the big focus on next Wednesday's stream. If its anything like the Steel Reign arc and we get help from NPCs to take the pressure off of dealing with enemies that would be awesome.

Also big thanks to Iceman for being apart of the stream as he provided extra firepower on one quest. We also did some bonus conversation talking fantasy sports and possible baseball hall of famers.

On a side note there were no issues with the stream last night, no frame drops or weird resets. Makes me wonder what the hell happened on Tuesday night.

The Phillies made World Series history last night... by getting no-hit by the Astros 5-0. And I was right Nola is cooked for the year, he has had nothing in the tank and it showed. Surprised the Phillies couldn't get a hit at all, they had chances. Hopefully they can win tonight to go back to Houston up 3 games to 2... because the last two times the Phillies have gone to a game six down 3 games to 2, they lost... in 1993 and 2009.

The Villains Story In Dragon Ball FighterZ Is Rather Silly

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream had an unusual circumstance where it was unexpectedly reset with no sign of any connection instability along, and then there were 13 instances of stream instability over the course of the night... 9 of which after the stream reset. Viewers pointed out that for them the stream suddenly restarted, so I wonder if the issues was with Xfinity or with Twitch.

Anyway, we were playing Dragon Ball FighterZ last night with the focus being on the Villains version of the game's events. Unlike the Heroes version, the soul link is only tied to Frieza with Bulma coming up with a way to get folks being able to fight to some degree. But the real treat is how snarky everyone is with Cell and Frieza snipping at each other, Yamcha and Tien having interactions with Nappa. Cell roasting everyone he's teamed with has been a treat as well, not to mention Bulma getting up in Cell's face for not wanting to cooperate. Something that made this also enjoyable was there were 'tutorial' fights, so it was get into the fights and win to try and gain zeni to make progress towards a couple of achievements.

And speaking of achievements, I did do an arcade run, and once again I blew my opportunity to get the S-Rank. The Extreme Gravity Spaceship course involved five fights... and I picked up S-Ranks on the first three fights and an A-rank in the fought... but in the final fight, I ended up with a B-Rank. Talk about disappointing. But hey we knocked out the achievement for the arcade run at least. 

Next time we'll play Dragon Ball FighterZ will be next Tuesday, and with Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed moving to the Saturday part of the weekly lineup next week, on Monday, we'll feature Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova.

Work was alright yesterday, however some idiots tried to troll me, however I just come back at them saying I'm am a professional and keep continuing to try and get the interview accomplish. Of course I see that the assignment I'm on today is one of my least favorites...

Black Adam has been added to MultiVersus, so we'll feature that game for sure on Saturday night to see what we can learn while using him. And I understand an arcade mode was added to the game as well! So that should be a hoot to try.

The Phillies blew out the Astros 7-0 last night to go up two games to one in the World Series, and as I was thinking yesterday, Nola will be pitching for the Phillies to night. Apparently the Astros starter was tipping his pitches considering Harper called Bohm over to tell him to look for something to drive... and it turned out to be one of the homers the Phillies crushed last night. Phillies manager Rob Thompson that Syndergaard is going to start game 5, so hopefully the Phillies win tonight behind Nola. I am curius as to why Wheeler is being saved for game six.

A Halloween Night of Ghostbusting

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream, well I did in costume... sort of... I have a Star Trek uniform top that I wear mostly as an excuse for Halloween... but the entire night was focused on Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, and color me surprised because they released a patch update to make things better, including making sure some achievements were being tracked, which is awesome, as it lead to a lot of achievements popping over the course of the evening. There is one achievement which is glitched, called 'Master Collector' involved with finding all the 'clippings' for the five locations, which I did. So that was disappointing

Now Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed will be moving to be apart of the Saturday Night combination of games starting next week, as I have accomplished nearly everything possible on the Ghostbuster side of things... but playing as a Ghost is damn near impossible, even when I want to queue up as a ghost for specific map, it keep kicking me to being a Ghostbuster. Ah well, at least this is a super fun game.

Finished the Until Dawn short story commission yesterday, now my attention turns to a WWE short story commission to continue a series the client wanted featuring stars who have returned to the promotion.

Game 3 of the World Series was rained out and everything was pushed back a day, which kind of makes things interesting for games four and five in Philadelphia... because originally Nola's next apperance would be game 5 with Wheeler starting game four... but now they are options for games four and five because of last night's rain out.

I wasn't going to visit my family this December, but my mom promised to make me Eggs Benedict. So I'm going home for the hollandaise.

A Super Long Night Of Overwatch 2

Happy Halloween everyone,

Well last night's stream of Overwatch 2 started early, and lasted a lot longer than normal... ended up being a seven hour long stream, with us using a variety of characters, D.va, Junker Queen, Reinhardt, Oirssa, Roadhog, Moira, Brigitte, Mei, Junkrat and others. We picked up four plays of the game as Brigitte, Junkrat, Mei and Junker Queen.  We were also joined by PandaSweet for several matches as well, which is always a treat. Also picked up an in-game achievement as Sigma in a rather frantic moment.

Overwatch 2 Achievements

• Conservation of Energy: Gain 350 shields with a single use of Sigma's Kinetic Grasp in Quick or Competitive Play.

That said, there were several moments of major stupidity as I've seen in regards to people not knowing how to deal with Zarya, which is simple... DO NOT SHOOT HER BUBBLES. If you should her bubble barriers, it powers up her weapon, which can melt virtually everyone. Then there was the last match of the night, where as I Mei, Panda as Symmetra and a random player as Brig all had more mitigated damage than a random D.va who refused to use their defensive matrix.

Nearly finished writing the short story commission request based on Until Dawn, It's going to be cutting it close to getting it to the requested word count the client wants. In case you can't tell, I'm a very formulaic approach when it comes to writing anything and getting my point across.

For tonight's stream we're playing Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, I think we're in good shape to maybe pick up one achievement.
