Random Saturday Was Random

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream had a weird moment where the stream restarted, there was a very brief period of frame drops and the upstream was unstable, which was just weird. Nothing like that happened since last Saturday night.

Anyway, we featured three games last night, the first being DKO: Divine Knockout and we dedicate mostly the entire first half of the stream to it, playing as Athena, who has a pretty cool kit, and we ended up winning quite a few matches, which considering they are best three out of five, is saying a lot. Of all the game modes, I despise the 'Gather Coins To Put In The Chest' one.... but the others like Knockout, King of the Hill and Oddball are all incredibly fun. Also picked up quite a few achievements.

Next we played MultiVersus, and I mostly stuck to using Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman, winning a fair amount of matches. Played one match as Tom & Jerry, winning that one. Luckily was able to get into an auto-formed team to make some headway towards the play 500 matches in a party achievement.

Lastly we played Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, got in one match as a ghost... and nearly won but ended up taking a wrong turn and got trapped at the literal last second. Had several successful matches as a Ghostbuster, and managed to pick up one achievement in it.

Learned that one of my uncles was a professional boxer back in the early 1980s, which was pretty cool. He fought in 19 bouts, won 17 of them... and the other 2 matches were a draw.

Managed to score a couple of King Crazy ranked performances in Persona 5 Dancing the last couple of nights off-stream. Granted it and its Persona 3 counterpart both have the auto-scratch option.

Nearly finished the short story commission for a WWE story featuring Sarah Logan, I'll have it done before dinner for sure, and I better put the notes together for the obvious follow up based on Teagon Nox's return two weeks ago.

Happy Birthday to my father who turns 67 years old today. Talked to him earlier, and he's doing all right, he's pleased about the a college football team where he lives being in a playoff situation... means free drinks every time they score a touchdown at the local bar.

We completed Person 4 Dancing All Night

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night we wrapped up Persona 4: Dancing All Night, unlocking all remaining trophies, watching all the visual novel segments, clearing every default song of the game at least once and having a good time. I have the 'prologue' that is unlocked at the very end does a great job providing context to the actual story and the ending when Rise still saying she needed her friends. 

I made numerous attempts at getting a King Crazy with the speed up challenge modifier enabled, and came incredibly close numerous times. Also found that somehow a Fever Time between Yukiko and Chie wasn't seen before...same also applied to one of Fever Time's involving Nanako as a partner dancer. Also, Margaret's dance has some really funky note placements that will take some time to master... if I was going to continue grinding away at this game.

So what's next on Friday nights... well, it's going to be Persona 4 Arena Ultramax, the sequel / refinement of the original Persona 4 Arena. It continues the story, adds more characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4. We'll see how many achievements for it we can unlock without having to play online matches.

Learning about something devasting...

Good morning everyone,

As everyone knows, at 9 PM I typically take a break during my streams, and as of late in addition to just stretching my legs, grabbing a snack, I've been checking up on my mom seeing if she needs anything. However last night, I learned something... devastating. My mom has cancer, stage IV lung cancer. She was a smoker, but she quit years ago. I'm just torn up inside... because my mom without question is the strongest person I know in terms of her will power. Hell I'm scared out of my wits. And what I'm going to ask does not come easy.

About a week ago, because of what turned out to be related health concerns and costs, we set up a Go Fund Me for my mom over at https://gofund.me/6adf8354 if could spare a little bit to help, we would greatly appreciated. All funds would go directly to my mom to help cover medical costs and related expenses. 

Of course during the stream, we were playing Final Fantasy XIV, we finished The Carrier Quests to get the PostMoogle hat, which just looks stylish with the Squall attire from Final Fantasy VIII. Also did the variant dungeons for the first time, was lucky to find a group after a 1/2 hour wait. Also discovered that there are some loose side quests that popped up in areas that I cleared already, but I'll go back for them after I finish the side quests in the areas added in Endwalker.

Fall Guys Success and Helping A Buddy In Fallout 76

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream started with Fall Guys, and we were joined by the one and only PandaSweet. Now we did have an issue setting up a party and with the game claiming one of us cancelled match making, which was very weird. Still we did have a blast, and even some success, winning three bouts of 'Sweet Thieves'. Not often to be on the winning side of things in Fall Guys, so it was a real treat.

After the break, we switched over to Fallout 76, and we were joined by Iceman, so we made sure to focus on story content he needed to be done associated with the Steel Dawn arc. Because I two of the more combat heavy ones solo a couple of months ago, I was able to basically walk him through it, including dealing with hacked doors very quickly. Was fun being able to do these again with a buddy considering the nightmare of doing them solo. Going to be real fun next week because his next quest involves the Super Mutant invasion of Fort Atlas

Managed to ear a few King Crazy's in Persona 4: Dancing All Night last night, and with how I have the Free Dancing set up, I wonder how it'll throw off my timing for the Story Mode dances for tomorrow night's stream because of the slower pace.

The Middle Of Game of Thrones The Telltale Series

Good morning everyone

Last night's stream featured episodes 3 and 4 of Game of Thrones: The Telltale Series, and as with prior play-throughs the question becomes what shall I do... make sure Asher lives or make sure Rodderick lives, because I do like both characters. But since the original Telltale games went out of business, we'll never know fully how things will play out. Did discover that if you 'attack' in Whitehill, it means everyone dies... and I'm surprised that was not an option for story progression. I mean it does resolve a lot of the issues after all.

Work was rather bleh yesterday... nothing fell into place like things were last week... hope today will be a better day.

Made sure to get the Battle Pass for the new season of Overwatch 2, and I love some of the skins that are featured in it, so I'll be making sure to grind that out as quickly as possible!

Phillies signed Taijuan Walker and I certainly feel like they over-paid for him. He's a glorified #4 starter but will be earning #1 starter money when compared to Zach Wheeler and Aaron Nola.  There is also speculation that the Phillies are looking at Matt Strahm for the bullpen.

More Pokemon, More Xfinity Issues.

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Pokemon Violet was very productive in terms of accomplishing big things, such as facing the Rock Titan... which was a lot bigger than I thought it would've been, and also clearing the second gym, which was a Grass Type focus gym, which meant my one Fire-Type Pokemon basically one-shot everything. Then I ended up getting lost trying to find my way to what the second Titan. Also figured out the picnic gimmick, sandwich making... and the fact that letting my lead Pokemon roam around could mean some fairly easily leveling up. That said some Pokemon end up being a real pain to capture, as I feel like I lost 15 Poke Balls in failed capture attempt that were complete hog wash. Did managed to catch Eevee tonight as well.

Now for the Xfinity issue, and this was very weird, the X8 gateway that was just replaced on Saturday, suddenly turned off as if it lost power. No other electrical device plugged in to the same outlet (which were my desk lamps) did. I reported it to the tech who came out on Saturday, since he said to note any weirdness that occurred and that was weird. So the stream ended up being split in two. Not thrilled about it, but no footage was lost. ALso near as I can tell, the Modem went offline at 340 AM, judging by the X8 gateway uptime.

Got a little writing done for the latest WWE short story commission, trying to go by all the notes given for it is turning out to be tougher than I thought it was going to be despite how easy the opening and set up was to write.

The Phillies signed Trea Turner to an 11-year contract worth $300 million, sure long term that may end up a bargain... assuming Turner ends up playing all 11 years at a high level. 

I am curious as to why Justin Verlander signed with the Mets... there is no logical sense to it, and considering the Mets let Jacob DeGrom leave, it makes even less sense.

Kirstie Alley passed away at the age of 71 yesterday, always did enjoy what she did as Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, as it basically set in place the approach most female Vulcans have had on Star Trek in the follow decades

Solid Night of Overwatch

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch 2 didn't have any noticeable issues, I did see that the downstream and upstream power levels were a lot more even than they were previously. So fingers crossed in that regard.

As far as playing Overwatch goes, we made a solid effort in trying to get PandaSweet within striking distance of Battle Pass level 200, and we certainly had a lot of fun. As always thank you to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun! 

I picked up three Plays of the Game, two as D.va and one as Junker Queen, so December is off to a decent start, considering I didn't get any POTGs prior to last night for the month.Other characters used were Reinhardt, Wrecking Ball, Soldier 76, Mei, Junkrat, Moira, Lucio and Brigitte. Also had a hell of a match as D.va racking up 39 Eliminations (which is reflected in the scoreboard screenshot).

Started work on another short story commission request based on fairly recent WWE stuff, the promo between Iyo Sky and Asuka certainly has me off to a good start just in terms of how idiotic I can write the dialog. 

Fred McGriff is going into the Baseball Hall of Fame... and this proves that Baseball Writers Association of America are a joke, because they should've voted him in instead of letting him wait until he would come up during the Winter Meetings

Managed to clear a ton of tracks on Hard Difficulty in Persona 4: Dancing All Night... granted using a few modifiers... still managed to get rated as brilliant on a few. I think I should also be able to acquire all the remaining costume gimmicks pretty easily once the rest of the story mode is finished.
