Fall Guys, MultiVersus and Mass Effect 3 MultiPlayer!

Good morning everyone,

I tried even harder to keep track of all of the Xfinity issues I had yesterday, and from 2:30 PM to about 10 PM, it seemed like a sudden drop every hour on the hour. And since we were using one of the Xbox consoles as well, that meant not just the stream was interrupted but we were getting kicked from online games.

Anyway, we kicked off the night with Fall Guys, and I actually one one of the races to get its corresponding achievement! Granted it was on the 'hidden tile' race, and I won because I sneaked past the person in front who was unsure which of two tiles to step on in front of the goal. Also nabbed the Sonic the Hedgehog costume pieces because they looked really neat.

Then we loaded up MultiVersus to get in some matches, playing as Lebron, Wonder Woman, Superman, Steven Universe, Reindog and Velma. Getting rematches were a bit tough, but we won a few and I knocked out a fair amount of challenges.

Lastly, I loaded up Mass Effect 3 to show off the Mult-Player feature, and every one saw that it still holds up quite well, and that as a Human Soldiers I'm fairly decent at getting things done... but the real highlight was breaking out a Bitoic Volus... who can't duck or take cover, and is just a slow moving target for enemies. There were times I kept getting downed as the Volus in the same spot, while getting revived, which had the benefit of keeping enemies close by.to be picked off by my teammates.

My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure: Short but Charming

Good afternoon everyone,

Well last night's stream was certainly plagued with numerous interruptions to the point it got split into 8 parts. The good news is I spoke with a senior tech at Xfinity who said they are going to be running a constant scan of the signals going to and from the modem to try and track down the problem. I was told not to reset the modem no matter how bad it gets and that I would get a call on Sunday afternoon to let me know what was being tracked.

Anyway, onto My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure... and it's a charming, chilled, laid back game. There are collectables to find, a number of mini-games, it looks pretty solid overall, controls are responsive, the sound quality is awesome, there are numerous unlockables... but it's an incredibly short game. I mean less than three hours start to finish and with getting every single trophy.

Now I believe part of the problem is that at the time of the game's release earlier this year, the show its based on My Little Pony: Make Your Mark hasn't really had the time to flesh out its world to provide anything more than a slice of life aspect... hell, the show itself debuted this year, so there's not much to go on. In fact the plot of My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure is more of a direct follow up to the film My Little Pony: A New Generation (which I have not seen, but a look at the wiki page for it gave me an idea of what it was about).

This does raise the question as to why Hasbro never had a full console game for the previous show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which was airing well into the PS4/Xbox One/Nintendo Switch era of console, so there was certainly a wealth of things that could have been utilized.

That said, the actual story of My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure is quite interesting in that the 'villain' is basically a semi-racist Earth Pony who wants to drive all the Unicorns and Pegasuses out of town and to go back to it being for Earth Pony's only. Sure he gets caught and learns a lesson about not fearing change, but I'm surprised that was the game's plot, which could easily have been an episode of the show.

All in all, I enjoyed the experience... but I will advised, only purchase it when it's on sale. It's $39.99 price tag is too damn steep and impossible to justify. For it's length, I d say nab it when its below $20.

Now we did Play Street Fighter V last night as well... but we had to way for a 36 GB update to the game to be downloaded and installed. So we did to a bit of just chatting, turns out one of my short boxes containing comic books is only being held together by the lid... and I've only seen a few things that featured Anne Heche who passed away yesterday.

Once SFV was updated, it was during a period where a lot of the internet issues were happening, so got kicked from one player versus player match. But things settled down, we did a few 'arcade runs' (Street Fighter and Street Fighter Alpha arcade ladders) and then did a few player vs player matches, actually inning a couple... in fact I finally hit the requirements to get an achievement for getting out of the 'Rookie' category! Sow e ended the night on a high note for sure.

Just Doing Wondrous Tails In FF14

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV was different than it has been as of late, because we dedicated the night to doing the Wondrous Tails, which basically just assigns a list of various Dungeons, Raids, Trials and PVP stuff to do try and complete lines on a 4X4 grid. We actually lucked out and got one line, which is very tough to do. Granted I could have re-rolled to try and get more lines, but 99% of the time just getting one is all one wants.

That said, I did discover I can use the Wondrous Tails to level boost other Disciple of Magic / War skill sets, which will make bringing them up a lot easier than I would have anticipated. In fact I already know next Thursdays FF14 stream will lead off with the Level 45 Dragoon job quest called 'Double Dragoon'.

Also did some fishing and finally acquired some Purple Script, which means eventually it will be possible to get the best possible gathering gear, but it will take a while to acquire. We closed out the night with some random PVP, and actually one a match where I lead the team in getting kills... as opposed to getting killed... HA!

Work was a total drag yesterday... stuck on one assignment that basically went no where, while folks on another assignment were cleaning up complete all afternoon.

I made sure to check out the intro for MLB's Field of Dreams game which featured Ken Griffey Jr having a catch with his dad Ken Sr. Knowing Ken Jr.'s animosity towards the Yankees for how his dad was treated, it's pretty awesome that this years game featured the Reds, a team both of them played for during their careers.

What kind of tea is hardest to swallow? Reality.

Started work on the latest commission request for a WWE story based around the aftermath of the 2016 brand split, and I think the client will like the intro.

Got in some work on Mass Effect 3's multiplayer achievement and knocked out the Gunsmith one fairly easily. Rather pleased with the progress I've made in my goal of just looking to get 1000 gamer score on it, and I'm I'm to 885. Based just on sticking to the story, knocking out the last couple of N7 missions and doing the story plus part of the Citadel DLC... I should gain 385 gamer score.

Back to Fallout 76

Good morning everyone,

Well last night's stream of Fallout 76 was interesting as I progressed a big part of the Foundation side of the build towards the big Vault break in to kind of have it even with where the Crater side is. I enjoy some of the back and forth in finding what I needed to access various areas, as it really seems like things were well thought out.

Also, since I'm tackling the Brotherhood of Steel stuff as well, I knocked out the back end of the dealing with the Crater and getting Foundation into a 'trade agreement' of sorts. Since this is supposed to be done long after the prior mentioned quest line, it just makes things more jumbled. On the plus side, I am curious who sold the weapons to Foundation.. and if one of the Knights turned traitor. Looking forward to seeing how that shakes out.

Big shout out to Iceman for not only the resub, but also for being apart of the action to help with the Scoreboard challenges. Always glad to have co-op action on a game like this. We also discovered the Monster Mash event is really... REALLY... awful and a waste of time.

On a side note regarding the screenshot... you'll see why I picked that one for this blog by clicking on it and seeing that on top of the entrance it says 'Bite my rusty metal ass', which is a reference to Bender from Futurama who would say 'Bite my shiny metal ass.'

Also I became aware that there was no game audio during the stream after the fact... I do not know why other than the fact there was a Windows Update that probably screwed up a whole bunch of stuff, as I had to reassign by mic and headphones in OBS. I hope to have this addressed by tonight's stream.

In regards to last night's stream issues that were traced back to Xfinity, there were 5 in total. Was able to successful document once instance where the Upstream Power Level was well over 51.

The Phillies are surging as of late, but they can't keep up this momentum for long as they have a series with the Mets this weekend.

Jumped into Mass Effect 3's multiplayer and managed to knock out the Overload related achievement, and also got my Engineer character up to Level 20 as well. The next one to shoot for is to get a weapon to Rank 10, but that is pretty grindy because of how the Recruit packs are randomized.

I sold my vacuum yesterday. It was just collecting dust.

Overwatch is getting rid of the Loot box system, and I have mixed feeling about it because I always knew whenever new seasonal rewards came out I could grab a bundle of them, get the rewards and stock up on gold to unlock other things down the road.

Leviathan and Omega In One Night

Good morning everyone

Last night's stream of Mass Effect 3 was certainly DLC heavy as we tackled both the Leviathan and Omega story arcs.

Leviathan is certainly great in terms of all the extra lore that gets added in terms of who or what created the Reapers, not to mention the reason why behind their creation. There are a few great character moments, not to mention how some things can be addressed or handled that could make Shepard seem obsessive... most notably when Ann Brynson is linked to the Leviathan with the goal of tracking it down. I never take the option of breaking the connection, because I don't feel it fits Shepard's character. On a side note, With the added systems included with the Leviathan DLC, some have extra items that make getting the Shepard lives ending if one is not doing the multiplayer or galaxy at war options.

That said, I do prefer the Omega DLC overall, because it's shorter and self contained that allows the player to get to influence (or encourage) Aria in the liberating of Omega. Nyreen Kandros is a great character that helps flesh our Aria's past a bit, and I do find General Oleg Petrovsky to be a likeable villain. I was lucky that the in story side quests were not glitched on this play through, resulting in getting a ll the achievements for it. Of course the final part where we have to free Aria while running around and avoiding enemies that can pounce on you and get 'shields' if the pylons ar active can fuck right off.

At this point, the next time we play Mass Effect 3, it'll be the Quarian / Geth story arc taking center stage... and if I remember right, I screwed up badly in my Mass Effect 2 play through so that means Legion will end up getting killed. Once that's done, Santuary would be next... and then the Citadel DLC, which will be epic for all the right reasons.

On a side note, after the stream I did more multiplayer stuff in Mass Effect 3, playing as an Engineer to try and grind out the Overloads needed for its corresponding achievement. This lead to the Explorer achievement being unlocked.

The Double Standard of the GOP when it comes to Hilary Clinton's emails and Donald Trump taking an obscene amount of documents to hide his wrong doing is hilarious. And with how so many Trump supporters are calling for a Civil War over this, that is basically proof that each and every one of them are traitors and should be treated as such.

As Usual We Cure The Genophage!

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Mass Effect 3 saw a couple of issues with Xfinity, and a few old fashion frame drops, but it was mostly stable.

We did cover a lot of major stuff, and not so major stuff with the game in terms of side quests. The big thing was we cured the Genophage, because there is no way in hell I would ever pick the Salarians over the Krogan, mostly because for every one cool Salarian there are bunch of assholes. We also took care of the secondary missions involving helping Samara and Jacob, and I did try to make party selections make sense to get extra dialog. I did take Javik with Liara for the Samara mission, just to have them snipping at each other.

Of course, anyone who has seen my play the Mass Effect trilogy before knows how important I view Thane's death scene when it comes to Shepard's character, because Thane is the only love interest in the trilogy that can die in a major moment that is not a decision. Plus, when we get to the Citadel DLC, Thane's memorial service is a lot more impactful because Shepard cries during it.

In terms of the side-side quests, the ones that involve exploring, we covered a good portion of all things that are associated with every system that opens up after Priority: Tuchanka, and that meant a lot of running around the Citadel to get some deliveries made. In terms of these, I just have the stuff that open up after Priorty: Geth Dreadnought, Priorty: Rannoch and Priority: THessia to deal with.

But before we even do that, the DLC quests called Omega and Leviathan will be my next priority and will be featured on tonight's stream. We'll probably open with Leviathan because that is long as hell to deal with, and when that is done, if there is time we'll tackle Omega.

Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago resident got raided by the FBI...too bad he wasn't there because the footage of him kicking and screaming would have been hilarious!

Asked the supervisor at my job what are the chances that I won't get stuck on the current big assignment every day, because it just handcuffs the hell out of how productive I can be. I'm someone who like to hit certain marks, and more often than not I do feel some assignments are meant to just make sure I don't reach my own goals.

We're expecting a big thunderstorm or at least a lot of rain on Wednesday afternoon and evening, hopefully work and streaming will not be effected.

Overwatch... The Way To Star The Week

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch started a little earlier than normal, and we ended up doing a lot more than one would expected. Sure we played standard Quick Play Role Queue, but we also messed around with Mystery Heroes, Capture the Flag and Quick Play Classic Big shout out to PandaSweet who was apart of a lot of the matches,

In terms of who I used, D.va, Wrecking Ball, Moira, Ana, Lucio, Sigma, Widowmaker Doomfist, & Tracer were among the various characters I used. Also picked up two plays of the Game as D.va, so that was cool.

Now of course the next Overwatch Remix event will be starting this week, so we're looking forward to seeing the new attires. Of course Reaper is almost guaranteed to get one. Of course I'm looking forward to probably being able to get into even brawls like Junkenstein's Revenge, or things like the lore missions.

I was expecting an Xfinity tech yesterday afternoon, but they never showed. So did they try to skirt the scheduled with the unexpected Saturday morning visit which I was barely awake for? Now I did get a call from the Executive Customer Relations team this morning to tell me they don't know why the tech visit was push to a day earlier.

For the record we had two upstream issues last night that effect the streaming but I was not quick enough to get into the Gateway to document what the Upstream Power level was.But i have seen the Upstream Power Levels have been pushing 48 / 49, so that means it may have briefly exceeded 51.

Managed to finished the one commission fic request for a WWE/Fox Sports cross over... and then got another one for a WWE fic set in the year 2016 post brand split draft.

I'd tell you the joke about perforated paper, but it's tear-able.

For tonight's stream, we shall resume Mass Effect 3, and we'll try to keep things balance in terms of doing side quests and main story stuff! That said I did knock off a lot of achievements via the online multiplayer mode last night, managing to get in on some super hard missions, which allowed me to level up quickly. Plus doing that allowed me to get the maximum readiness which was I was gunning for via the N7HQ 'Galaxy at War' site. IT did take about 2 hours and 45 minutes to that, but hell, it was worth it.
