Whole lot of roaming around in Fallout 76

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Fallout 76 saw a fair amount  of things done, a lot of roaming around to get various stuff done, including killing the 6 different enemies with Grant's Sword. Iceman has that same quest, but he joined us late so he still has a few to get on that quest. Other things done was the Top of the World quest that sees the players meet Rose, plus various lore related stuff such as the Overseer notes. I do think the enemies get tougher when in a group. Another theory I have is that Fallout 76 is built around going every damn play, but the tying of Fast Travel to the Bottle Caps will make some quests a real slog to get through. Still we had fun!

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Difficulty Challenge Combo #1, Defensive Combo #2 and Defensive Combo #1.

Part way finished the latest fic commission request, getting a good chunk done. I feel like I'm getting back into a groove of writing again to some degree.

Messed around some more with Smite, only playing Assault matches to see if I can figure out anything with Gods that I never played before that were randomly selected. Of note Gilgamesh and Cthulhu were interesting. With Gilgamesh I figure being able to dive in and do a lot of damage is key, or to at least set things up, he did have one of the easiest achievements to get which just involved going to a specific point of the playing field. Cthulhu is pretty tanky, but really seems all about setting up things for the team, but his related achievements involving trying to stack passives which is not my strong suit.

Looks like Bryce Harper is going to be sidelined for a few days, which just hurts my Fantasy Baseball team considering the hot stretch he was on.

Looking at the footage for the She-Hulk TV show I have to say... visually it looks awful, as the look for She-Hulk herself looks like it' straight out of the uncanny valley of PlayStation 3 video game cut scenes. 

Headline I didn't think I see 'Kathy Griffin shows of her sexy body'... I get it, there's the trend of a lot of the older celebrities who had their prime in the 90s showing off how great they look, but c'mon, this is reaching a little bit.

We Finished Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition

 Good morning everyone,

Well we finished Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition last night... and three achievements based on story points where not unlocked, two of which should have popped last night. Then there was the fact we did the set up for the good ending twice, sitting through the credits completely both time with that achievement not popping. Of course the poor optimization of this remaster certainly had me on the 'just get it done' way of doing things, as we used the battle boost and the fast forward options just to tear through major battles. Considering this is the second remaster from SquareEnix released this year that has had issues, I do hope that they are actually going to be more serious about things from their history being remade or remastered in the future considering how they sold most of their non-Japan based studios early this year. But you know what is great, since we did a play through of the original Chrono Cross last year, I went and looked that clip from August 31, 2021 of the final battle, and man my body language was completely different, as I looked completely done with the Radical Dreamers edition

I was not going to leave this alone, so off-stream, I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition, changed the appearance settings to classic and and re-ran the final boss battle again to get the good ending, and the achievement popped on the third attempt... then I went and got the bad ending. So that's two achievements knocked off the list.

Of course now I get to ponder about what will replace Chrono Cross in the weekly lineup, there are a few contenders, like the classic version of Mass Effect 3 for example, or maybe we can do something odd like revisit a TellTale Series game like Game of  Thrones.

For the raid last night, we dropped in on RoseMaryShorn who was playing Dragon Age: Inquisition over at twitch.tv/rosemaryshorn!This is of course a reminder to me to reinstall it and play the DLC quests.

Played a handful of matches of Smite last night, and focused on playing as Hera and I think I figured out a few things in Arena using her. Seems like I can use her from the back line a fair bit. Her shield is real useful. Also, Hera's achievements were part of the "A Necessary Darkness" expansion at this time both were still diamond level achievements.

I managed to build up another decently long Xbox achievement streak of 19 days and 116 achievements going back to April 30th. It is my fourth longest streak to date. 

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Intermediate Combo #1, Triple Combo #2 and Biceps Shape Focus Combo. Woke up a bit late so kept the basic workout streak going.

Have yet another commission fan fic request based around old WWE storylines, this time involving The Miz's dressing down of Daniel Bryan back in 2016. I got two ideas of how I want to approach it that could be interesting.

The new skins for the Anniversary Remix Event Volume 2 in Overwatch clearly had some thought put into what alternate color schemes would work. Probably the best one is Sombra's Neon Cat.

People are complaining about the Phillies being shut out for the fourth time in thirty-six games, to which I say... when all you have is the offense to carry a team, then shut outs are going to happen very frequently.

Finding Them Level 7 Tech Skills

Good morning everyone, and let it be known I woke up at like 6 AM for some no reason.

Anyway last night's stream of Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers edition saw a big focus on side questing after I dealt with defeating all of the dragon gods, which meant finding nearly every ones level 7 tech skills, and dealing with Dario and Criosphinx . Thankfully the Battle Boost meant these encounters were a lot more less worry-some than my play through of the original version of Chrono Cross last year. We also recruited the final characters that can be picked up in a single play through (Orlha and Turnip), which leaves seven characters that require two additional runs of the game to get (Nikki, Kid, Korcha, Razzly, Mel in the 2nd run, while using the 3rd for Pierre and Harle. Yes for those who don't know there is a way to finish the game with Harle in the party, it just require going after one of the other endings after Serge and Lynx trade bodies.

Of course last night's stream wasn't without its issues as we had two stream resets, which resulted in 5 minutes of loss footage, so there will be two VODs in the YouTube archive added for last night... with one being 25 minutes long and the other being over 4 hours long. Near as I can tell the issue was not with Xfinity.. at least with the first interruption.

For last night's raid we dropped in on Kalenal who was playing Final Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/kalenal!  

Clippy turned out to be quite useful for my stream in terms of both doing shout outs and being a way to have clips play when I take a break. 

Played some Smite last night, getting three wins all as Discordia in Arena mode. The reason for playing only as Discordia for a bit was because of the weekly challenge of playing three matches as a Roman god. 

It's speculated the 76ers will not offer James Harden a max contract deal... and considering how he's played, that's the smart move. If he wants to continue his career as a big money earner in the NBA, Harden needs to prove himself.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout involved Straight Combo #2, Hip Shape Focus Combo, Difficult Challenge Combo #2 and Difficult Challenge Combo #3. Also since today's workout went 45 minutes you can kind of guess what isn't happening today.

But since I got yet another WWE fic commission request to work on, this time based around the feud between Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss in early 2021. I certainly was not watching during that time period, but I have a wicked idea that could be quite interesting.  

Speaking of WWE... I'm wondering if the whole Sasha Banks and Naomi 'walk out' is a shoot or not, because lets be honest, Sasha has a history of throwing temper tantrums if she didn't get her way, and Naomi has basically been protected because she was on Total Divas and married into the Anoa'i wrestling family.

We Had A Group Of Six!

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Overwatch was a lot of fun as we ended up having a group of six by the end of the night. Big thanks to BangBangBang, PandaSweet, BloodyClown, Beltizar and TeddyBeartJTs for all being apart of the fun. It was super cool having a group of that size, and really makes having a fixed night for Overwatch feel like a great idea. Of course the larger the group the more the 'match making' of Overwatch will try and make sure to have us face a team of a similar size, which would increase the difficulty. I ended up with four plays of the game with D.va, Torbourn, Reinhardt and Cassidy, as well as used Moira, Mei & Soldier 76 at various points.

The stream did see a full reset for some reason, which I think was caused more by an issue with Xfinity, so part of the stream was lost.

Saw a list of highly recommended open world games, and the ones that caught my attention were Eastshade, Biomutant and Mad Max. The first two are to new to grab for the list, but Mad Max is old enough to have as an option.

Completed another commissioned fic based around the 2012 WWE story line involving John Cena and Eve Torres, and the client was quick with the payment, and as I said before, that is always nice to have happen.

Accidentally deleted all the clips used for the BRB scene from the month of April yesterday and I didn't realize it until I started OBS. Oops! But because of that mistake I finally decided to switch to Clippy for the BRB screen. This will also mean I'll have to he options of having clips of streamers who raid (or who are friends of the channel) play when giving a shout out.

Now there was a chance for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 for tonight as a sudden fill in... if I knew about the Keenly College event a little sooner. Also according to Iceman, no one really expected it or for the event to be less than a week, because other wise, I would have tagged in the Division 2 over Fallout 76 for Wednesday

It was a community game night

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream lead off with Paladins, and it was your usual mix bag of wondering why random players choose not to do the basic things, like getting items to increase their chances of actually being of use. We were joined by PandaSweet and Beltizar for several matches of fun. I did end up playing the new character, Lilith, for a bit, and I think I understand her kit, her LT can either be used to heal a teammate or damage an enemy, while her LB can activate an AOE of healing for the team or damage for the enemy, depending on who standing in it. Also her special abilities drain her health, so a bit of a balancing act is needed when using her her.

Then we switched gears and played RiffTrax: The Game, it is your standard JackBox Party game but with short film clips where we can be the like of Mike, Crow T Robot and Tom Servo (as those involved with the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 are involved with RiffTrax). Apparently not all clips are from typical Public Domain source material as there were clips from Charade which starred Audrey Hepburn. Boy in the Bubble which featured John Travolta and Son of Hercules included... the last of which being a film that was riffed on in the original MST3K era! We had quite a few folks join in the RiffTrax fun so we may do more of it in the future!. 

On a side note, while I unlocked the first 18 achievements playing against other players, the remaining 12 I was able to knock out solo with the use of a web browser and my cell phone, making it another game for 100% completion.

Considering the fun we had with RiffTrax: The Game last night, I'm strongly considering its predecessor 'What The Dub' for a future expansion on things to do with the community.

James Harden is being roasted all over the place for being a shell of his former self, and I have a feeling we won't see him a 76ers Uniform next season.

Got another request to do another commission request based around an old WWE story line. I  think I have some note still from a few things Kristi and I did that could put a nice twist on things. 

I am scratching my head trying to understand why the Padres picked up Robinson Cano... what does he bring to their team? It's not like he's going to regain his form from before he was busted for PEDs.

We Experience A Month In A Day

Good afternoon everyone,

Well last night's stream of Persona 5 Royal was another epic, long stream as we covered the entire month of October, which means we saw the Destiny-Land party and the  twist of what happens to Haru's father... and we took everything up to October 30, so the next time we play Persona 5 Royal on Friday, we'll be dealing with the Casino Palace straight away. I am not at all thrilled about having Akechi on the team, and his gaudy Metaverse attire just looks awful.

That said, I was able to knock out various Confidant story arcs like Tae and Yusuke's, while also catching up on Iwai, Sojirio & Futaba's. I know another big trip into Mmentos is going to be needed to knock out a lot of the not Phantom Thieve ones, but that is what it is. I have to also say, I'm not all that impressed with Sae's Shadow-self, maybe it's me but the eyeliner just ruins the entire look. I also have a concern regarding having to get Kasumi up to Rank 5, and the fact that Haru has not been an option to spend time with to build up her Ranks. Oh and speaking of Kasumi... her transformation was so totally based on Sailor Moon it's painfully obvious.

Let it be known that I've never had respect for Jim Ryan, the CEO for PlayStation, based on his attitude towards people wanting to have access to older games. But his complete disregard for Women's Rights as it relates to the bull shit that is the Supreme Court of the United States wanting to over turn Roe v Wade is completely asinine. Okay sure, he doesn't take a stance, but it's quite clear he thinks Women's Rights are a trivial issue, which they are not. 

In regards to the 'Diversity Space Method' Blizzard published when it came to creating characters from different backgrounds and origins for Overwatch... and I'm not mad at it. The blatant use of race, age and other factors when it comes to creating characters has been seen in the TV, Film and Comic Book industries for decades. Hell, Marvel Comics basically went out of their way to create a second in-print just to make the main continuity more diverse before merging it in.

My fantasy baseball team is doing well this week batting .280 (53/189) with 37 run scored, 9 home runs, 26 RBI, and 4 stolen bases. Pitching has been good enough with 33 innings pitch, one win, 3 saves, 35 strike outs with an ERA of 4.36 and a WHIP of 1.09. Overall we're ahead of 7 out of nine catagories. Hopefully this trends holds through the rest of the weekend.

It's Friday the 13th

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Final Fantasy XIV saw a few raids, a trial and leveling on a couple of alternate roles (Fishing, Botany and Lancer). We actually used the Dancer in one of the Alexander raids, which was interesting. We also spent a lot of time in the Crystalline Conflict, I should learn and get more comfortable with other roles than Bard for it, because I'm a sitting duck whenever an enemy gets in close. Granted I more often than not get a fair amount of assists, but being able to brawl may be more helpful. Also figuring out how to do a character portrait for when a CC match starts was a lot more trouble than it needed to be.

Also during the stream got a call from work to let me know we're in another awkward period, but that call happened during a period where I couldn't quite do a BRB, so I just muted my mic.  

Another weird thing was that I ended up having two bowls of grapes, I normally just have one at the start of the stream to make sure I have some fruit, but I wasn't feeling having anything sweet following the mid-stream break.

Well at 12:08 AM Eastern Time, I got the final achievement in Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle to complete that game Friday the 13th of May of 2022. You can be I'm proud about the perfect timing!

Also played some Smite before bed, and I managed to get Thor's second achievement, both of Persephone's achievements which completes the Queen of the Underworld update content, and one of Morgan La Fey's achievements. I have to say I do like what I figured out with Persephone, as it was the first time I've used her in a match, which happened to be assault so it was randomly selected. I feel I understand Morgan's abilities a little better, but her second achievement is going to be near impossible for me to pull all as it involves building her passive by using all her abilities on one character.

The 76ers lost to the Miami Heat last night... and clearly that is probably Doc Rivers last game he'll coach for Philadelphia, because I can't imagine him not being the obvious scapegoat. The Sixers showed no fire in the last two games, despite what they showed in games 3 and 4 to tie the series up.
