Overwatch, Smite and other notes

Tonight's stream opened up with Overwatch 2 as McCowboy and PandaSweet joined in for matches that saw a wide variety of quality at times. Since the new battle pass season has started I'll probably work in matches off stream to get it done as quickly as possible. Also enabled streamer mode, which meant I had several different alias throughout the night which was fun.

PandaSweet and I also played some Smite, wanting to work in some of that so that Panda can get more of a feel for things. Also to my own shock I got the 2nd of Sol's related achievement... after getting the first one for her back in 2018!

Overwatch 2 will return next Sunday, and we'll see about Smite

Tomorrow night, we start Marvel's Midnight Suns

Did groceries today, made sure to get 14 Fresh Express Salad as I want to have one a day every day!

Finished the God Eater to complete all the SubscribeStar commission tier ones for this month. Next up is a Mass Effect commission story

Persona 4 Golden and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up Persona 4 Golden, and from where we picked up (a few days before the final exam) it took six hours to cover everything. Now if I wasn't reading every bit of dialog out loud, it probably would have been done in a lesser amount of time, but some things needed to have a voice to them. I didn't care for the gimmick of the Hallow Forrest as it seemed as if it was design to make people give up on Marie by not having the preferred gear and items, as well as totally draining the stamina. 

I did how everything had a nice wrap up and conclusion, and how this Persona 4 went out of its way to stress the fact that Main Character was going to live, as opposed to Persona 3, where the hero dies in the end. Also really liked the animated scenes that were included, which added a really nice touch.

Will I play Persona 4 Golden again... well the only things left would be to fuse the World Persona and defeat  Margaret, plus farm out battle dialog for Rise... then there is the trivia thing which I have no interest in doing. So it's possible if I want to go for the 1000 gamer score.

Anyway, replacing Persona 4 Golden will be Marvel Midnight Suns, which we'll start on Monday!

Was so hot today that I did not want want to open the refrigerator more than a couple of times, so order take out. Considering the trouble with the fridge I had last year when it came to keep it open to load in groceries on a hot summer day I am not taking chances 

Started work on the God Eater story commission, and I wish there were more details about the in-game world, but for a game that has several titles, the fan-wikis for the franchise is barren

J-STARS Victory VS+ and other notes

So tonight's stream of J-Stars Victory Vs saw us advancing the plot and getting access to more side quests while getting Luffy to rank 20, which means getting him to rank 30 will be a breeze next week I feel, because I need to make sure to go after every ship before advancing the plot again.

I'm really liking doing Luffy's campaign teaming him with Hancock because she has some nice stuns and range attacks that basically keeps her out of harms way for the most part.

I am curious as to why was Jump Force was such a step back from this game in terms of its mechanics and features.

Work was a mix bag... a couple of completes and a couple that were nearly finished

Finished the Spider-Man commission request, and next up is a God Eater one... and I know nothing about the series...

 But my curiosity has lead me to see that the first game in the saga (or at least the 2nd remake) was available digitally on PS4, so safe to say I'm going to be learning about it a whole lot down the road

Persona 4 Golden and other notes

Tonight's stream of Persona 4 Golden was a lot of slice of life stuff as I finished all of the Social Links I could (need one more for Adachi), read all the books, registered 100 cards and made 5 meals. This was certainly a very visual novel heavy stream.

Made the choice not to go for completing all the side-quests, as there is no real value to them given the rewards for what left are not worth it. 

We're at 99% on the compendium, but the final one needed is tied to Adachi's social link, so do one and then get the other.

Persona 4 Golden will return on Saturday's stream, and we're going to see about finishing it!

Work was a real drag today... totally forgettable

About half way done writing a Spider-Man commission fic,  trying to get it to 3000 words mostly the idea I was given to work with was trying to stretch out a plot.

Smite and other notes

Iceman was not able to join us this week so Sea of Thieves was put on hold, which should return next Wednesday

Instead we played Smite winning a few and losing a few, but the big thing is we were joined by PandaSweet, which was awesome. With the exception of one match with a suspect player, every match was competitive so now we have the possibility of doing Smite on Sundays along with Overwatch.

Also I played a bit as Sol, I understand 3 of her abilities except for when she become a little fire ball.

Work was solid, very productive even if some folks were jerks.

Nearly finished the Star Wars commission request, need to just write a few more lines to wrap it up. In fact going to do that before going to sleep

 

Persona 4 Golden and other notes

Tonight's stream opened with the goal of reaching and defeating Adachi as well as the 'god-like' being that was there to fulfill the request of everyone who just life wasn't as intolerable as it is. Seeing Adachi's motives does make it seem as if he has a point, but I think things got a bit muddled. Still knowing how his redemption arc in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax goes, its nice to see he was open to starting over.

We went through the Christmas and New Years events, rather surprised Chie was taking advantage of her parents trust as well as Dojima and Nanako being in the hospital, was not expecting that. Next time we play Persona 4 Golden we'll be looking to knock out social links and achievements to set up the final story arc of the game!

Tomorrow night Sea of Thieves is on deck

For the raid we dropped in on MissCammi316 who was playing Gears of War 3

Work was okay, granted I was not on the assignment I thought I would be on

 About 40% finished a Star Wars commission, well over 2000 words written should be pretty straight forward getting it to 4000 words

Been enjoying having Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Stagate on as background noise while writing during the day, makings things go back quicker

Persona 4 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Persona 4 Golden saw us knock out a a few social links, fusions and a run through the Nanako's TV world to find all the needed items to complete side quests, so we're accomplished everything we set out to do.

Which means out next stream will feature going after Adachi, and from what I understand, his TV world has some gimmicks that need to be dealt with.

We should also be set up almost perfectly to get nearly every possible achievement on a single play through possible, the biggest problem one is going to be making sure to max out Temperance, which may not be possible until late January on the in-game calendar.

Work was solid this evening, if slightly mundane at points.

Finished the Resident Evil story commission and got started on a Star Wars related one, want to try and get that to be about 4000 to 5000 words.
