Remembering How To Play Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream opened up with DKO Divine Knockout, and while I unlocked Zeus, my main go was to continue leveling up Athena as I intend get all of her unlocks first before I focus on other characters. Did have a rough night of playing overall, while we won a fair amount of matches, it seems I was being double teamed quite often! We did unlock one achievement in it, and came close on another.

Next we switched over to Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, and somehow we had a match that lasted exactly 60 seconds. Not sure exactly what happened, but it was totally weird. Had a few great captures, knocked off some in game quests.

Lastly, we loaded up the Xbox 360 version of Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed, which is a game that has been featured on my Twitch channel in prior years, but it was the Steam version. By playing the 360 version, it means I can unlock the achievements, and my progress playing the game and unlocking characters, courses and other stuff can be featured every now and then.

Now remembering how to play took a bit of remembering, as I went right to my old favorite racers Ulala (from Space Channel 5) and I totally forgot how her cart handled. Something different from how I used to play the Steam version was that I had little trouble dealing with inverted flight controls, guess I've gotten better with those aspects of gaming over the years. Even did fairly well in playing against other players in match making, granted I never placed higher than 4th, but I felt like I could more often than not finish a race in a multiplayer setting.

Mom was eating a little more solid food, in fact my day started yesterday with her saying she wanted corn flakes for breakfast. It does seem like she is getting some of her appetite back. Finished writing the 12th Mass Effect commissioned story yesterday, and was given options for the 13th episode, but I let the client make the choice of what they would prefer. I've been having a lot of fun writing these little tales.

Continuity Does Not Exisit In P4AU's Story!

Good afternoon everyone,

Last night's stream of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax saw us cover the first 48% of the story as told from the Persona 3 perspective of things... and I'm surprised they couldn't or wouldn't bother trying to sync things up with the Persona 4 side of the story. You see on the P4 Side, the characters of Ken, Yukari and Labrys arrive at Junes when Naoto has her encounter with Sho... but on the P3 side of the story, they arrive much earlier. It does raise a question over whose side of the story is canon... obviously it's the Persona 4 cast's side, but still, would've been nice if the P3 side was filling in gaps instead of telling an alternate series of events.

Also did an arcade run was Junpei and did try to go for his Grand Slam achievement... but then realized the requirements are impossible to set up against the A.I.. Oh well, at least I didn't need two tries in any fight, as Junpei is a character that is has a natural play-style to complete his arcade run.

Finished the Quarian heavy Mass Effect shorty story commission yesterday, and got the go ahead request to do the next episode involving Kasumi. Basically all the latest chapters are based on Mass Effect 2. With luck I might finish this story before tonight's stream but I doubt it.

Yes I did order a new set of lightbulbs considering I'm half in the dark on stream the last few nights.

Hippo-Carts, Taxis and Visiting Mom

 Good morning everyone,

Yesterday afternoon I went over to Cooper Hospital to visit my mom, kind of a surprise to her, when I got there, it was right after she was brought back to her room from a radiation session. She was her usual self (for those who know her, you know what I mean lol). Found out the plan is to move her to a rehab facility to help her get some strength back and to moving around, The trick is finding a facility that will be able to accommodate getting her to and from appointments. Now since I don't drive, had to take a cab there and back... and it does boggle my mind that the best cab company in my home town doesn't have all of its drivers being bilingual. It lead to some major confusion, particularly when coming back home, as I was at one side of the hospital, but they pick up at the other. So I had to 'run' all the way over. Needless to say, I got some cardio in!

Anyway, last night's stream saw a couple of raids done in addition to a lot of side quests, with the highlight discovering there are Hippo Carts that can be acquired as mounts via one of the Tribal Quests paths. That does give me incentive to actually focus on doing all the Trial Quest grinding at some point. On a side note, since I don't do the raids as frequently as others m trying to recall what to do in various instances.  

Also during the stream, the subject of old cartoon themes came up, so we ended up looking at a few intros for shows like Godzilla (1978), New Adventures of Johnny Quest, Sailor Moon, and New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh!

Since I went to visit mom, I didn't do any writing yesterday in regards to the current Mass Effect short story commission that I have on the docket. I plan to make some headway on that today either before the stream or after.

Fall Guys, Fallout and a Mom Update

First an update on my mom, there is a lot to be determine over what is next for her, in terms of making sure she's comfortable and being able to get her to and from places easily. Last night's stream opened up with Fall Guys, and for the first time, I actually won a Solo Show. It came down to Roll Off, which I'm terrible at, but it was a shocking win. I came painfully close to win another Solo Show and a Duos Show as well, but my good fortune in Roll Off being in the final round did not last beyond the fluke win I had. Still it was a great moment.

We also played Fallout 76, knocking out the dailies and working on leveling up to 100. Big thanks to Iceman for being apart of the fun, as we were able to help him through one of the final Brotherhood of Steel story related missions. The plan is to help him with the final chapter of that next week so he can go from Initiate to Knight Erant.

My Aunt Hilary came on down to help out with a few things and to make sure some basic matters were taken cared of. Always nice to have her visit.

Did some cleaning out of various things upstairs yesterday as well, and took advantage of the fact there are two rooms on the 2nd floor of my home not in use, which makes them perfect for storage.

I was asked about a continuation of a couple of Dragon Ball short stories that I did via Commission Requests, I told them if the original client wants it to continue then it would/ That said, I finished up one Mass Effect commission request, and got another one from the same person to continue it, giving it eleven episodes already. Already have the justification of the plot written now I need to simply write the action sequences

It appears Hover.gg has gone off line, a shame because I really liked posting my clips there.

We Finished Pokemon Violet! And It Was Awesome!

Good morning everyone,

Last night's stream of Pokemon Violet saw us basically breeze through the Elite Four, the League Champion Geeta, the 6th match against Nemona and have a leisurely stroll to the bottom of Area Zero to finish the game. I'm not kidding, as I had the match up list for each major battle, so I was prepared in advance. I did make sure Meowscarda got the final hits to defeat Geeta and the Turo AI in terms of the standard battles. 

That said I loved how the story played out in regards to Arven finding out that his father died a long time ago, Miraidon having to face a bully version of itself (which ties in nicely with the Team Star story arc) and everything wrapping up nicely while setting things up for 'post credits' content (Gym battle rematches, and so forth.

Oh, my six Pokemon to close out the game were Ceruledge, Meowscarda, Vivillon, Medicham, Raichu.& Floatzel. Outside of Ceruledge who I got in a trade and Medicham which I caught mid-game, the other four were in my lineup since damn near the start of the game. 

Overall I did enjoy playing Pokemon Violet a hell of a lot more than I did Pokemon Shining Pearl. There was never a point where I felt I was under prepared outside of not knowing the Ghost-gym involved 'double battles'. 

As for what will be the game to be featured on Mondays and Tuesdays? I thinking the Xbox 360 version of Bayonetta. I have never played it before.

Closing in on the end of Pokemon Violet

Good morning everyone

Last night's stream of Pokemon Violet got off to a good start with us capturing the eighth gym badge in sort order, which is very useful in terms of some of the very lucky surprise trades I made. As you may know, once you have all 8 badges Pokemon of any level will listen to you... which is helpful because one of the Pokemon I was lucky enough to nab was a Level 100 Ceruledge, a Fire-Ghost type, which makes it my heavy hitter.

Beyond getting the 8 badges done, I also cleared out the last Titan and the final two Team Star Bases. Reaching the final Titan (Which was the False Dragon) and the Fighting Type Team Star Base were a bit of a pain in the ass. But the battles and story elements were also quite enjoyable. Also knocked out the battles against Arven and Penny to close out the Path of Legends and Starfall Street story arcs.

Which means tonight, my first objective is dealing with The Elite Four and the League Champion. I think I can cover most match ups, or at the very least brute force my way through it, but this might take a few attempts. With luck we might even finish Pokemon Violet, but we'll see how that goes!

Last night's Monday Night Football game was postponed due to the scary situation involving Bills Safety Damar Hamlin. That entire circumstance is not how I wanted to clinch my first Fantasy Football championship since 2011.

Finished the latest Mass Effect short story commission, and got the instant request to writing the next chapter which would involve Kelly Chambers. I'm very tempted to make jokes in the next chapter regarding some of my theories regarding her in the context of Mass Effect 2.

First Overwatch Stream Of The Year Saw 7 Plays of the Game

First, update on my mom, the doctors did another biopsy on her, this time on her tongue to see if the cancer spread that far.  There is some consideration of her coming home, but that has not been determined yet. For sure we know she is going to have to go through chemotherapy. As for last night's stream of Overwatch 2 was pretty epic, as we picked up seven plays of the game, 3 as Junkrat, 1 as Orissa and 3 as Junker Queen. It was insane considering that through out the month of December it was pretty rough for me to get POTGs and the first stream of the year sees me get seven. Big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the fun, and she even got two POTGs as well! There were a couple of matches that look like they were going to be a clear loss that somehow we turned into victories.

Finished the Mass Effect short story commission request, tried to put a lot of lore and emotional depth into it, which exposed my weaknesses as a fic writer in a major way. Did get the go ahead to write the next installment in this series of commission requests

From there it's the final two Team Star bases and then the final Titan, going to have to do quite a bit of leveling up as possible, because I don't want my attempt to get through the Elite Four and the League Champion to be the nonsense that I experienced in Pokemon Shining Pearl!
