Final Fantasy XIII and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up Final Fantasy XIII, and I have to say, even with knowing there are direct sequels to it, I'm satisfied with the ending. Even if the entire premise of the plot seems to take place over the course of seven days, if what was said at the end of the game was any indication. Total play time was about 60 hours and we unlocked over half of the achievements. Will I play it again start to finish, probably not, but I do see myself going back to it to grind for various achievements that I feel are doable (Namely the Commando,Ravenger and Medic Seals).

So with Final Fantasy XIII wrapped up, that means we're going to be starting a new main game this week, and it's going to be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which we'll get started on Tuesday. But we're also going to bring in Dead or Alive 4 on Monday, as I really liked the time we spent dedicated to Skullgirls. So basically the line up going forward will be

Finished writing the Mass Effect commission request, which took longer than expected. Next up on the commission docket is a Dragon Ball story. I'll be working on that when I wake up

Skullgirls 2nd Encore and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up a few things in Skullgirls 2nd Encore, namely completely Black Dahlia's story mode (and that was surprisingly difficulty), did a few arcade runs (one of which took half a hour), and picked up a few achievements for certain characters. Now earlier in the day I worked on a couple of other achievements associated, namely ones realized to getting a 829-Hit combo and having sixty different types of combos performed.

So with Skullgirls 2nd Encore finished, we can slot Final Fantasy XIII into Mondays, meaning we can dedicated Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to it as we work on finishing the game. Of course, obviously we're playing Final Fantasy XIII for tomorrow's stream.

For tonight's raid we dropped in on pradoxgamerau who was playing World of Warcraft

We didn't have work tonight which bugs the hell out of me, but hopefully we'll have something lined up sooner rather than later.

Had a hard time working on the WWE commission story today, in fact it took me most of the day to figure out how to even start it since I don't follow the current product and have no clue on what a number of character quirks are (and unlike with some other things, I don't intend to look into it).

The public reaction to the Fairy Tail commission from early January was about what I figured, and you know what, I don't mind because if someone is going to get mad enough to comment about a 5000 word story, then they should write their own.

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was extended by an hour just so we could keep track of the Super Bowl, and we had a lot of fun. Big thanks to PandaSweet for bbeing apart of the action this evening. Played as Junker Queen, Brigitte, Moira, Tracer, Ashe and a few others. We did a few ranked matches this evening as well, mostly to wrap up a weekly challenge.

Tomorrow night we're doing one more stream of Skullgirls 2nd Encore, to complete the Story Mode for Black Dahlia, and we'll do various other things in the game, arcade runs, challenges and whatever else.

For tonight's raid we dropped in on smoresdafloof who was playing League of Legends. It was their first stream in quite a few years! 

Did an hour of grinding in Final Fantasy XIII last night to complete the current skill tress for Lightning, Hope, Fang and Snow

Finished the Spider-Man commission this afternoon, getting it to 3000 words which allowed me to order some pizza tonight.

Next story on my commission docket is WWE related... in fact the next three stories are all WWE related... so that's going to be a struggle.

And congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs for winning the Super Bowl in dramatic fashion.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore and other notes

Tonight's stream of Skullgirls saw us getting through five of the six story modes, all that is left is Black Dahlia, which we'll have to save for next Monday. The amount of dialog exchanges that takes place in the stories for Squibbly, Big Band, and Eliza really drew things out, then Umbrella and Annie's were voiced. Still is was a solid night, and I don't have to consider changing the weekly line up. We also picked up a new follower because we were playing Skullgirls which was awesome.

Tomorrow night we're back to Final Fantasy XIII with the start of chapter six!

Work was solid tonight, knocked out several interviews on a study covering issues up in North Jersey

Finished my watch through of Red Dwarf, and the Promise Land movie was awesome. The moonlight scene with Lister and Rimmer was very touching.

Finished the WWE related story early in the morning and got to work on the Star vs The Forces of Evil commission, and I'm about 30% done writing it. Basically in the middle of its action sequences.

Overwatch 2 and other notes

We had a fun night of Overwatch 2 this evening as we were joined by PandaSweet for every single match. We certainly  ran into our fair share of questionable teammaes. Characters I used were JunkerQueen, Dva, Cassidy, Hanzo,, Windowmaker, Tracer and several other characters.

Tomorrow night we're returning to Skullgirls to finish all the story mode runs we need to do (and to basically make Skullgirls 'reviewable' for my YouTube channel)

For the raid we dropped in on brittballs who was playing Celeste

Finished Series 12 of Red Dwarf and now just have to watch The Promise Land movie. Looking forward to watching it this week.

Did some grocery shopping today, picked up all the goodies!

Nearly finished the WWE Short Story commission, but wrestling stories are not fun to right so it's taking longer than needed to finish.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore and other notes

Tonight's stream was dedicated to Skullgirls as we worked our way through seven story campaigns (Robo-Fortune, Beowulf, Peacock, Painwheel, Ms. Fortune, Valentine and Double) and one thing I can say for certain is that considering who linked Valentine and Painwheel are, that the later is clearly the game's true protagonist over Filia, since there is a connection between her and Painwheel as well. Now I've made the decision to keep Skullgirls in the line up for next Monday to go through the remaining six story mode characters.

Tomorrow night we're starting up Final Fantasy XIII, now the last time I played the PS3 version was back in December of 2011, so basically I am going itno it blind. But I do got a lead on an old school strategy guide which could come in handy.

For tonight's raid we dropped in on 13babybear13 who was playing Lego Star Wars; The Skywalker Saga

We did have work today, and the assignment was focused on the Special Election up in New York to replace George Santos, kind of interesting to hear what folks read, saw and heard about the two candidates.

Did a fair amount of writing today, but could not finish the commission story based on Fairy Tail. It is about 50% finish give or take.

Part of why was because I was waiting for the delivery of two backup keyboards considering the one I use was acting wonky recently. Better to be prepared.

So while I was waiting I watched most of Series 10 of Red Dwarf, and I rather like how Lister has evolved a bit as a character. Also the episode titled Lemons was fucking awesome!

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Overwatch was a solid five hours of action, big thanks to  Odeu and PandaSweet for joining in on chaos. Much to my surprise, I picked up one of Kiriko's achievements which shocked the check out of me. Also had a huge moment as Mauga getting three enemies trapped in his cage fight ultimate, which itself should have been an achievement. Oh well. Other characters I used tonight was Ashe, Reaper, Orisa, Brigitte and a few others

Tomorrow night we're dedicating to doing story mode runs in Skullgirls 2nd Encore.

Obviously I could have started Final Fantasy XIII tomorrow, but I did say I want to work in Skullgirls between major games on weeknights depending on when they are finished. 

For the raid we dropped in on intergalacticpants who was playing Mass Effect Andromeda 

I did sleep in ab it today, waking up around 12:30 PM, but I got various things done, most importantly Laundrey.

Watched parts 1 and 2 of Red Dwarf: Back to Earth, and it is kind of weird watch the show when episodes have cuts for commerical breaks.

Finished the WWE related story to complete a subscribestar subscription request, next is a normal commission request based on the anime / manga Fairy Tail, which might take me two days to write.

Next time I do groceries I need to make sure I pick up several boxes of shrimp, as they turn out great in the air fryer!

Overwatch 2 Achievements

• Yokai: Restore 1500 health and land 5 critical hits without dying as Kiriko in Quick or Competitive Play.

South Park The Fractured But Whole and other notes

Tonight we put the finishing touches on South Park The Fractured But Wole wrapping up the final Mintberry Crunch DLC story and going after Morgan Freeman to get one more achievement. The squad I  took into that fight was Mintberry Crunch, Call Girl and Henrietta, all three of which was able to apply buffs and debuffs which made the fight doable with only two of them being knocked out at any point in time. There are three achievements left in the game, but we can save those for a future play through.

Now that wasn't the whole stream, we did play some Smite, and big thanks to Striker for being apart of a few matches. We won three and lost three I think, so it evened out, as I played as Nike and Athena. Did accidentally turn off auto-purchasing of items, which certainly put me in a bind in a couple of bouts.

Tomorrow night we're playing Overwatch as is the Sunday night tradition. Did work more ranked matches this weeks, but not too many bouts on role queue to avoid playing damage in ranked bouts.

Since we're done with South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Monday night we will be playing Skullgirls 2nd Encore and going through a few story modes for various characters in a bit of achievement hunting. 

Tuesday night however, we will be starting up Final Fantasy XIII. Now I have played this game a bit many years ago prior to my original PlayStation 3 dying on me, so basically we will be going into it blind! I remember the combat system being quite difficulty to understand.

Got some writing done on a SubscribeStar commission tier story today, which is WWE related, I hope to have it finished before tomorrow's stream.

Nearly finished season eight of Red Dwarf, just have one more episode to watch, and then it's the jump to the more modern seasons.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore and other notes

Tonight's stream featured Skullgirls 2nd Encore, we took a brief look at the tutorial for the basic controls then did a standard arcade ladder run with Ms. Fortune and Peacock before focusing on the story mode, doing runs as Filia, Cerebella, Parasol and Fukua, the last of which involved fighting Filia on apparently the hardest difficulty in the game. Now I didn't adjust the difficulty at all, so I'm rather pleased that I was able to complete Fukua story mode, as only 5% of people who played Skullgirls 2nd Encore on Xbox consoles have done that!

Tomorrow night's stream is scheduled to feature Sea of Thieves but Iceman may not be able to join us, if he can't we might do another night of Skullgirls. Or maybe an extra night of Overwatch.

We did have work today, and got a few interviews done, a couple took way longer than expected because of trying to get respondents to answer the questions.

Now the commission requests I had slated to for today got thrown out as the I just couldn't write what was asked, which hurts, because that's money I'm not earning... but it's onward to the next one, and thanfully it is a commission request with a logical story.

I was not thrilled with having to shovel snow this morning, just glad it was only a couple of inches.

And now I'm off to bed!

 

South Park: The Stick of Truth and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up South Park The Stick of Truth and did so by getting all four achievements associated with defeating Princess Kenny, the games final boss. Needless to say it was a solid run tonight, everything from start to finish, and rather efficient. Of course a second play through would be required due missing on Chinpokemon and not getting all the possible 'friends', along with costumes and weapons, but we'll consider that for down the road.

Tuesday night we're going to mess around with Skullgirls 2nd Encore, since it's been awhile since we've featured a fighting game.. 

Thursday night we'll start up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, though I'm considering waiting till Saturday for that.

Finished the NFL related commission and started work on a Spider-Man related commission request which is probably going to go over like a fart in church with how I'm not really feeling the combination of characters I have to use.

I did consider maybe dedicating this week to playing Skullgirls, but it's achievements list is rather stiff and not exactly highlight worthy I feel. But we will do one night focused on it.

Finished the NFL related commission story this morning, and since it had a tie in with the Bengals winning later in the afternoon, I like to think I jinxed the Browns.

Next commission story is a short one based on the Resident Evil franchise, I got it partially started to work on tomorrow but since I'll be distracted waiting for deliveries, I'm going to be shocked if I get it finished.

Experiment with doing some shrimp in the Air Fryer, which turned out pretty solid. Really do love how hot dogs turn out as well.

The Last of Us Part II and Other Notes

Hi everyone,

We had another mundane day of work, the assignment is so bland and has so many road blocks put in it that I felt like I was going through the motions by the end of my shift. Can't complain, as we did get nearly a full set of hours this week.

Tonight's stream of The Last of Us Part II saw us finished Ellie's version of Seattle Day 1, which involved quite a bit of side questing to all the areas in down town Seattle before progressing with the main story which saw a lot of stealth and combat happening with the Wolves (aka the human villains). There was a number of cool moments, such as Ellie playing 'Take on Me' during a segment where a guitar was found, along with Dina coming to Ellie's rescue on several cut scene occasiosl

Now the Birthday Gift flash back was nice, to try and give the big warm and fuzzy feelings towards Joel, but remember he projected his feelings about his own daughter not being around on to her, so for me it was nice to see the build up towards Ellie learning the truth.

DId some writing yesterday on the WWE short story commission, but since it features similiar content compared to the recent commissioned story for the Mass Effect series.

Our next stream is scheduled for 7 PM Eastern on Saturday night, and just for the hell of it we're going to play Borderlands again and work on the DLC content to see if we can get towards    1000 gamer score!
