Good morning everybody,
Last night's stream of Overwatch was all the usual stuff, we got in some Quick Play matches and we lucked out and got play some Mayhem matches as well! Things were pretty flowing the entire night, but then a long time friend of the channel Reaper asked if he could join, thing is, he plays using a PS4.
So this gave me a great opportunity to see what it's like to play cross-play matches in Overwatch when we are intentionally teamed. I have had matches teaming with cross-players, but this wast the first time with a friend. So right off the bat I tried queuing up for Mayhem and then Classic Quick Play.... and we had 5 minute long waits and didn't get into a single match. I queued us up for normal Quick Play and we got into matches quick... and the noticed something... the large amount of people whose names were spelled using the Japanese alphabet (kanji).
Turns out since Reaper is in Japan, it seemed like all of our matches were against people from the other side of the globe! It certainly made me go all out as the matches were a lot more intense than the normal Quick Play bouts I play. We took more defeats than victories, and things were going well until something popped up. In the last match of the night, the team Reaper and I were on was down 5 versus 6 in terms of players, and we never got a second tank after one left at the start of the match. The other team had a leaver, but they got an instant backfill, so that was total bullshit.

Today's Fitness Boxing 2 Daily Workout went 28 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 446 kcal. It was not a perfect workout as I missed 5 punches including one on a combo but oh well. We did do a little extra today, so the total session was 37 minutes with a calorie burn of 576 kcal. We're up to 6 out of 10 for the Evan's Trainee achievement and 5 out of 10 for the Evan's Buddy Achievement.
If you've been following the APBA Baseball posts, you'll notice for the
1909 season I'm playing I'm not exactly going to the bullpen much if at
all. Since starting pitchers were normally pitching full complete games
in that era, it's certainly a case of let the starter go over 7 innings
if they have given up 3 runs or less while hoping we can get enough
offense. Will be interesting to see if I end up burning out any
pitchers.
For tonight's stream we'll be back to Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition, as we'll continue to search for items while slowly advancing the plot!
