God Eater: Resurrection and other notes

Tonight we did a bunch of free missions in God Eater and I really like using the Scythe as a slashing weapon, it's slow but it has a big arc, also experimented with using different crushing and piercing weapons, which do seem have perks depending on enemy types. I'm real curious about the story and the implied conspiracy theory.

The big goal for tonight was to find the Castle of Dreams, and there is something about it that bugs me, and it's the fact it is treated like a quest with the compass pointing in the direction of where to go, unlike in the Soldiers Graveyard. And I forgot how difficulty The Lord's Ghost was with that X-Ray and Zap combo. Beyond that we found three Mana eggs, granted only one is needed to unlock Rapp's Earth magic. 

Next time we play, we're heading for the city of Laine and the Horn of Knowledge, and probably will make our way to Alent as well.

Iceman and I had a fun session of Sea of Thieves, as we got a fair bit done in terms of finding loot, even if our ship was sunk on our way back to port.

Tonight was one of those nights where I felt very tired... and with good reason, I've been up since 3 AM.

Anyway, we completed the Void dungeon to capture Mitsuo and saw how Rise is just as bad  of a cook as Chie and Yukiko ... and poor little Nanako saying what their made was edible. It's no one everyone gets real protective regarding her.

On the plus side I realized the only Social Link I really screwed up was Hermit, which is tied to specific side quests for the Fox.  There will be an opportunity to take full advantage of it 

Next time we play we'll be checking out the Midnight channel and building towards the next story arc which should focus on Naoto.

Tonight Iceman and I focused on finding loot on various islands, nearly getting sunk by an enemy ship once and being chased by a giant shark several times. We did pick up an achievement which keeps my current streak going.

We also bad an adjustment to out Fantasy Baseball squad, potentially adding a pitcher or at the very least position player after dropping someone who won't be available until after the All Star Break

Tomorrow we shall resume Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, with a good chance of finishing it

We did have work tonight, and it was a rather wordy assignment considering the nature of the questions asked.

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and other notes

During tonight's stream of Lego Batman 2, I learned that we cannot swap to other characters until after the story is finished, and that the game basically because a Superman / Batman adventure, as Robin is basically forgotten about as it relates to the plot. We got through a few chapters, and I can safely say, this game has the best depiction of Superman in that yeah he's invulnerable but if a villain plans for his weaknesses he has to rely on others.

Batman however, is still a dick.

Lego Batman 2 will return on Thursday's stream where we might possibly finish the main story

I'm down to the final two achievements needed to 'complete' Suicide Squad, which involves leveling up to Squad Rank 50 (I'm like at 38/39) and getting a complete Tier 3 set of gear equipped, which is going to be tough

Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed and other notes

Tonight's stream of Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed saw us tackle the Garaka bounty which was pretty wild, and also re-do the Samhain one... and to be fair, I was hoping the new one to be like the older one in terms of having a little story. But the Firehouse looks pretty cool with the frosted interior and ice spikes.

Had my fair share of great moments in terms of catpures, and had a successful run as a ghost as well.

Tomorrow night we're back to Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes

We did not have work today, should hear something tomorrow...

Finished the Star Wars commission request in the early afternoon and it turned out pretty well I think, granted at 4000 words and not 5000, mostly because I ran out of ways to stretch it, but left the door open for a follow up.

Next commission is NFL related, which is a simple SubscribeStar tier one, so more of a wham bam fic

Tested the match making in Suicide Squad early this morning and was able to get paired up with someone and knocked out an Incursion mission at level 15. I am now three achievements away from have 1000 gamer score on this game.

Tonight's stream of Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League saw a huge focus on achievement hunting, so at this moment I have 40 of the games 50 achievements unlocked. However I should have 41, so I am hoping the one for getting 39 stars on Riddler's AR courses pops sooner or later. We did dive into the incursions, hit max level with every character and wrapped up the final missions for the support team so that we can really take advantage of various perks and bonus!

Big thanks to Striker for being apart of the fun as we messed around with Suicide Squad's multiplayer, despite some hiccups it was a lot of fun!

I'm going to experiment with doing a reaction / commentary series based on the show Daria, lets see how long that lasts... the one for the first episode 'Esteamsters' is already recorded and will premier on Wednesday morning.

Overwatch 2 tonight was very hit and miss, sure we won a few, but I swear a lot of folks were playing like idiots, and my natural instinct to not condone stupidity lead to me phoning in several matches. Played matches as Junker Queen, Moira, Ashe, Lucio, Orissa, Sombra and a handful of others.

Tonight's stream had a few issues, one there was an hour long delay in getting things going because of a weird glitch that kicked me to where I basically had to re-do escorting Lex Luthor on Earth 2... and it took me an hour to figure out what happened and how to fix it (the Suicide Squad community are a bunch of idiots, so finding the solution took a lot of searching on the official discord)

Then there was the power going out for a hot moment, splitting the stream in two, which was unfortunate, but we did make good progress. We have every around around level 16 or 17, we took our Green Lantern, but Wonder Woman is gone as well, so in terms of dealing with the Justice League we're half-way there. Still have a ways to go in regards to maxing ever character out however.

Next time Suicide Squad will be featured will be on Tuesday's stream.

I got work that day shift will be available, but now I'm not in a position to switch because of how I've locked everything as I go from writing to work to streaming in that order. If I switch to day shift at this point, it would either go work, stream, writing... or work, writing, stream. I'll have to figure all that out.

Speaking of writing, struggled with the set up of the current SubscribeStar commission tier request to set up a contrived set up that makes no sense based on what the client wants, as it combine the NFL and wrestling personalities. So I'll be working on that before going to bed.

Tonight's stream of Ghost of Tsushuma saw a huge focus on exploration and trying to find areas I've been, only for things to become available after I finished the first act. Still we advanced the story, rescued Jin's uncle, fell off some high spots and had a good time overall.

Ghost of Tsushima will return on next Friday's stream with the focus on liberating the final six spots in the first area of the map

Tomorrow's stream with feature Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League, with probably as huge focus on level grinding, as we do have to get every character to level 30.

Work was surprisingly good, even if our system was rather Jekyll and Hyde which drove me nuts

Managed to get my hands on a complete set of the 1992 Impel/Skyboy DC Cosmic Cards, I had a bunch of the cards as a kid, so managing to get the whole set was pretty cool. Also realize and learned DC couldn't include Batman in the set because of the license agreement they had with Topps for the cards based on the Batman '89 and Batman Returns

Next story on my commission docket is also NFL related but with a loose wrestling connection because people want to torture me

Tonight's stream was pretty good, even if I lost track of time because I was looking to knock out the 100th Support Contracts. We did advance the plot a lot, knocking off the Flash and rescuing Lex Luthor, In terms of leveling up I have some characters as level 15 and other as a level 14, so if I continue taking m time we'll can get spread this game out for a lot longer than most people did.

Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League will return on Saturday's stream. Expect level up grinding and other things being done.

Tracked down the Game Guide for Dragon Age Origins, so almost guaranteed we'll play that on stream again at some point.

South Park The Fractured But Whole and other notes

Tonight's stream ran from 5 PM Eastern till about 12:30 AM, and was not planned, but I kept finding stuff to do in South Park The Fracture But Whole that seemed totally doable, as a lot of quests just flowed from one to another. I'm really digging the story between Craig and Tweak, and the customization for the player character seems to get really nutty as things go along, from super hero class, race, ethnicity and other factors. We'll continue this game on Monday's stream.

A fair amount of snow melted today, so didn't really have to shovel much of anything, anything left over I can easily deal with on Monday.

Finished the Dragon Ball commission request and am now waiting on payment for it and the earlier NFL commission request finished earlier in the week. Am counting on those to cover groceries this week. Next commission story in progress is NBA/NCAA related and I'm thinking i'm keeping that under 2500 words since the one after it is intended to be a bit lengthy.

South Park: The Stick of Truth and other notes

Tonight we wrapped up South Park The Stick of Truth and did so by getting all four achievements associated with defeating Princess Kenny, the games final boss. Needless to say it was a solid run tonight, everything from start to finish, and rather efficient. Of course a second play through would be required due missing on Chinpokemon and not getting all the possible 'friends', along with costumes and weapons, but we'll consider that for down the road.

Tuesday night we're going to mess around with Skullgirls 2nd Encore, since it's been awhile since we've featured a fighting game.. 

Thursday night we'll start up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, though I'm considering waiting till Saturday for that.

Overwatch 2 and other notes

Tonight's stream of Overwatch 2 was interesting with the 'Quicker Play' gimmick and one thing I can say about that gimmick is that it exposes everyone who doesn't know how to fight on the objective & payload. Seriously, people who try to hang back and build their ultimates from a distance end up losing because of how fast things were adjusted. Granted no one will learn from it, but I can say we won more than we lost by a wide margin. Big thanks to PandaSweet for being apart of the action.

Tomorrow night we look to finish South Park The Stick of Truth. We could go straight forward to finishing it or try and find a few extra side quests.

 For the raid we went over to the channel for Mystery Science Theater 3000 

Finished the Dragon Ball story commission this morning, and it was a struggle to knock out, and started work on an NFL related commission, which is about 30% finished based on the outline I was given. I will be working on it tomorrow during the day.

Taking time to sit down and watch episodes of Red Dwarf when I have lunch certain brightens the day a bit.

I did consider maybe dedicating this week to playing Skullgirls, but it's achievements list is rather stiff and not exactly highlight worthy I feel. But we will do one night focused on it.

Finished the NFL related commission story this morning, and since it had a tie in with the Bengals winning later in the afternoon, I like to think I jinxed the Browns.

Next commission story is a short one based on the Resident Evil franchise, I got it partially started to work on tomorrow but since I'll be distracted waiting for deliveries, I'm going to be shocked if I get it finished.

Experiment with doing some shrimp in the Air Fryer, which turned out pretty solid. Really do love how hot dogs turn out as well.

Stray Gods The Role-Playing Musical And Other Notes

Today got off to a bad start as packages were stolen from my doorstep this morning, and I know this to be true because came at the same time 11:40 AM (from the United States Postal Service) and 11:46 AM (from Amazon) with package ID tracking. I was in the shower at that point, when I got out and saw the delivery confirmation, I went to get m y packages and nothing was there! Amazon provides photos as proof, and since they were the second delivery is showed the earlier delivery items weren't there. So to the piece of shit who stole 4 packages this morning, fuck you!

This is worrisome for me as I'm expecting a deliveries this week. Maybe I should get a cheap laptop to work on the commission stories upstairs to prevent this from happening again.

Anyway, tonight's stream of Stray Gods; The Roleplaying Musical was a lot of fun, loved the artwork and the music. Not much in terms of gameplay beyond making choices and navigating the dialog trees, but its a very well written game that is geared towards multiple playthroughs. I figure we can go to this game whenever we need something for a Saturday in order to try and get the achievements related to making different choices.

Not sure what game we'll feature on Monday, but I'll figure something out

Catherine: Full Body and other notes

Tonight's stream of Catherine: Full Body saw us clearing the first four floors (we made it past the first baby chase on the fourth floor), and I'm enjoying how the expanded story with Rin flushes a lot of things out. On this play through I'm trying not to align to heavily with Katherine, with the worst case scenario being to go with Catherine if I can't figure out how to end up with Rin. We'll be continuing it on next Friday's stream.

Finally made up my mind in bringing down a case of water to keep in the basement. 

We're partially expecting snow tomorrow, hopefully we get none of it in my area!

Persona 5 Tactica and other notes

A new year begins with a New Game Plus run of Persona 5 Tactica, and this play through we're pretty much focused on leveling up as quickly as we can chase down the remaining Personas to fill out the compendium in order to get the last achievement. We're at 96% on that, and with luck we'll be able to tear through the story battles and level up rapidly. Thankfully I do have some high-end Personas that grant an XP Boost which should make things quicker.

We'll continue this all out blitz on Tuesday's stream.

For the raid we went over to SweetLindir who was playing Hunt: Showdown.

With the day off, I mostly recovered from last night's New Year's Eve stream. I forgot how exhausting Overwatch can be if played for more than 5 hours.

Did knock out a major story commission based on the NFL, and next up is a Dragon Ball related commission involving Trunks. Had to do a lot of research in regards to the math to figure out character ages.

Hopefully we'll have work tomorrow!
