Last night's stream of Mass Effect 3 (Legendary Edition) was completely focused on the missions involving the Quarians and the Geth. As you recall, last week I screwed up and accidentally started the Shore Leave mission which was apart of the Citadel DLC with the original ME3 release... which mean Tali was not apart of it. So we covered the entire Quarian arc tonight.
There were a few interesting hiccups, as the way to have Shepard sprint on the console versions involves holding the A button down on the Xbox One/Series controller which is pretty much counter intuitive as to how it's implemented into other games (pressing down on the left analog stick while holding the direction I want to go), so it made for a lot of start-stop moments of sprinting for anything that wasn't in a straight line, namely the escape from the Geth dreadnought.
Now since I made damn sure to fully go all in and making sure everything was squared away in Mass Effect 2 between Tali and Legion, it meant that when it came to the big decision on Rannoch involving the fate of the Geth, we could get the very happy ending, where the Geth become fully A.I. lifeforms and the Quarians return home, plus the added bit of how the Geth will help the Quarians quickly adapt to a normal way of life.I would like to also point out the battle against the Reaper on Rannoch is gorgeous in the Legendary Edition, but one does wish BioWare & EA were going to add some things, such as maybe having Tali's face shown when she removes her mask when the war between the Quarians and the Geth is over. Ah well...
Anyway we got some achievements last night which I'll list next
- Party Crasher: ME3: Sabotage a dreadnought
- Saboteur: ME3: Disable a group of fighter squadrons
- Hard Target: ME3: Call down an orbital strike
- Master and Commander: ME3: Deliver most of the Galaxy at War assets to the final conflict
Twitch Clip: Tali picking on Kaiden's Gear
Twitch Clip: Tali was not set on fire in ME2
Twitch Clip: The Geth Use Dial-Up!
Twitch Clip: Hiding is a very good idea!
Twitch Clip: That Shepard Smirk!
Now funny thing, Amazon gave me indication that a delivery that I was expecting was 'lost', and when I called to voice my frustration with it, the guy offered me a refund, but I said I wanted what I ordered, which meant they were going to put in a re-shipment of the items that should have arrived on Friday & Saturday. Thing is after I called, a few hours later my original order items finally showed up!
So what arrived with two books, one being The Hero of Numbani which is an Overwatch tie-in novel, and the other was Mass Effect: Retribution the last book I needed to complete the set of the Mass Effect tie-in novels.
Also I received the USB-C to USB-A adapter, this meant I was able to set up and use the Logitetch Streamcam... and good thing I know how to use the filters in OBS, because like the C920, the Streamcam is a temperamental piece of hardware. It will be interesting to see what settings for it change when I power down and power up my PC, since for whatever reason, Logitech cameras never want to save settings.
Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily work out went 31 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 580 kcal, but we did some extra on top of the daily, so the overall time spent working out was 43 minutes with an estimated calorie burn of 764 kcal. Today was day 207 of Fitness Boxing 2 but day 365 since the start of using the original Fitness Boxing. So it's been one year, where I weighed 290 lbs... today I weight 252 lbs. In game achievement progress sees that I'm at 9 out of 10 for the Evan's Trainee achievement and 7 out of 10 for the Evan's Buddy achievement. For tonight's stream we'll be continuing Mass Effect 3 (Legendary Edition), we got two missions to do and then we're going to tackle the OMEGA DLC. Which means we'll save the Levianthan DLC for next week.
Anyway, on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!
